All good work, but my quibble was follow up on some outstanding issues (mainly with a knocking noise that they didn't seem to get to the bottom of and didn't follow up) which led me to explore other companies - which unfortunately were no where near as detailed or close (actually most further) from a solution and I came them another chance and I'm glad I did. Justin helped work through some more detailed troubleshooting and provided a solid quote (detailed and quick) for solutions in a quick manner. He listened and cared. He was knowledgeable and thorough. While not only getting the issues I had resolved, was also able to resolve other code and safety issues that stemmed from the original install of the boiler. Headline: You can get AC repair and replacement done for A LOT less with other companies. Shop…read morearound! I had tech come out last week to look at my AC, which wasn't working. Cost me $130 for the inspection. The guy didn't really know what he was doing. I had to tell him to check the compressor. He'd only checked the capacitor and couldn't figure out why the condenser kept tripping the circuit breaker. It was the bad compressor that was drawing too much power. If I hadn't told him to check the compressor, I would have been out $130 and no closer to knowing what was wrong with my AC. Once WE had figured out what was wrong, he told me it would be $4900 to replace the compressor and immediately tried to steer me toward replacing the entire condenser. I got two quotes from them this week for condenser replacement. One was $8900 with a Trane unit and the other was $9050 with a Lenox unit. I ended up going with another company, which is charging me $2900 to just replace the compressor. That's $2000 less than the Lakeside H & AC quoted me for the same work. I did have to pay $120 for a second inspection but it was worth it. I might have been able to get my AC working again for even less money with another company but after being without AC for 10 days during a heat wave, I was ready to just get the work done. Here's some VERY important information about HVAC: Private equity firms are moving into this sector and driving prices through the roof. The bigger the company, the flashier their vans, the more likely they're owned by one of these firms and if you go with them you'll be paying WAY more than you have to. Again, shop around! Go with small companies or even a single guy with a beat-up, old van. You might even be able to find one that won't charge you for the inspection or at least charge you less. Chances are they'll do just as good a job if not better and they'll do it for A WHOLE LOT less.

He then removed the ignitor which had a VERY tight screw that he was finally able to remove. After cleaning the ignitor and re installing the boiler would not work because the ceramic part of the ignitor was spinning on the metal part. Not a fault of the service technician just an eight year old part that needs replacing.Many repairmen would have said i need to order a new part and you will have no hot water or heat until i can return days later and replace the broken part. Not with brad working on our boiler! He kept at a repair as few professionals would and left only after out system was working

Taylor Morrison builder uses Eastside HVAC as a contractor to install new A/C systems and act as…read morewarranty company for the first couple of years. Our 2 story house is roughly 3300 sq ft including the basement. The builder previous name William Lyon at the time installed all the homes with a 2.5 Ton Rheem A/C. Based on my amateur research a 3000 sq ft house should of required a 4-5 Ton system to effectively cool the house. After just one year the A/C was not cooling down below 75. TM warranty department called Eastside and sent out Efren the tech to diagnose the problem he found out the TXV (thermal expansion valve) was bad and ordered the part for replacement. Efren came back a week later and replaced the part and he was very detailed and friendly and even cleaned the coils inside the A/C fan. Now the A/C is much better and I can cool down to 70 degrees on a hot day. I've heard conflicting answers on wether or not to close vents in basement for more airflow to upstairs. What I did is I kept one basement vent open but closed rest of them and upstairs does indeed get more cooler air. One more thing I learned is that A/C systems do not draw fresh air from the outside instead they recirculate indoor air. With all the recent smoke pollution, it's actually better to keep windows closed and use A/C. Even though I believe our builder A/C is undersized for the house, but the team at Eastside have been very helpful and professional and I highly recommend them for HVAC work. Nothing is better than chilling in a cool house when it's 100 degrees out. Good job and thanks Efren!

Towards the end of the heating season we called them because the unit they installed wasn't coming close to maintaining a proper humidity level in our ranch home. The owner gave me some excuse about how it would be better during the next heating season. They never made us aware of advantages of a fan driven humidifier vs the passive model (humidifier is dependent on furnace fan air movement to push moisture through the humidifier and into the heated air) We can't get the humidity in the house above 25% when 40-43% is a proper range. We are now have to pay another company to install a fan driven humidifier. Very disappointing!!

We were given quotes for 4 different water heaters, including one gas heater. That allowed us to compare pricing & features. 2. We were given 2 quotes for the electrical work depending on ease or difficult access to the mechanical room. All quotes were detailed with line items for parts, etc. That was very professional vs the companies that give you a "black box" price with no details. Prices were reasonable for today's structure. Still a shock as we've had the house for 13 years with very few repairs needed. But it is what it is. We had a problem with the initial water heater hookup. They quickly sent out a top electrician (Pete) who verified everything and found one problem. He said he'd talk to the owner in case there was a problem with the water heater. The Essency has communication and app control features so the board working is critical. The next morning they had a full replacement water heater on the truck in case it was needed. It was not needed, Pete and Jacob had it up and running and reverified everything. Pete also caught that our router had paused the connection to water heater for some reason. Pete called later to make sure everything was good. We live near DU and there was no stalling around about coming out here. Every person that showed up communicated well and was good to have in our house.

They replaced it two years ago and it's back to dripping they wanted to charge me $125 to come out and look at the drip. They also stated that the part would most likely not be under warranty that they only guarantee them 6 to 12 months depending on what it is and that I'd probably have to pay again for the plumber to come out and install a new one. That's absolutely unacceptable. In addition to that. They told me that they don't make parts how they used to.
