Cox is the biggest rip off ever. Raise their rates whenever they want. You can call to complain but it does nothing. They've lowered it over the phone and then when the bill comes nothing has been lowered. So back on the phone again. We're so fed up with them. read more

I am a huge fan of Cox cable and their stores make service even better. Easy online set up with the flexibility of coming to a store and picking up your equipment. Staff is so friendly and knowledgeable without the pressure of sales and up-selling. I forgot my agent but she was just fantastic. I was in and out of the store in less than 30 minutes. This was completely opposite of my experience with competitor who I spent an hour troubleshooting before I was offered a tech to come to my house. Easy installation at home that I suggest foregoing the install fee unless you need a new cable outlet which only cost $35. Holy Batman, that's cheaper than a handy man. Plenty of packages for your need, I felt they offer versatility despite prices bring slightly higher. I am willing to pay more when service is attentive, friendly and efficient! read more

Such a quick and easy trip! I was having a couple billing issues & Brandon was a huge help. I thought it would be much harder & take much longer, but I was very pleasantly surprised. Staff is very friendly & helpful. Definitely recommend this location!! read more

Cox cable is one of the most shady business that I have ever had to deal with. They have stated when I try to cancel my Services that I had a contract. Even though I stated I did not want to contract when I signed up for Cox cable, but they stated that I did have a contract with them and that they sent me something in the mail stating that I had a contract. Which I never received this supposed contract in the mail. They believe that they can do anything they want because most complexes around this area anyway, only allow Cox cable into the complex. So buyer beware, if you're getting Cox cable I would go and make sure that everything is in writing and signed by a Cox cable representative. read more

The worst customer service I have ever had. If you want to waste money and time, you can use them. We have been with them for years. Every time if there are internet issues, they either push us to switch plans, and that always come with some unexpected fee. Or sent the technician to check, and if their technician came in to fix their problems. They would freaking charge you. Seriously? I am paying you every month. Now you charge me for fixing your own problems? (their wires or hub in our neighborhood was damaged). Every single time, they charge you. This time we decided to cancel, and they push out 1 gig internet and offer some discounts, of course. Again, a lot of unexpected fee. We have made up our minds never go back to Cox. NEVER!!!NEVER!!! They told us this is not a contract plan, we can cancel anytime. That is why we give it a last try. Now they are saying we will be charged for a cancellation fee, because it's a contract plan. They are just lying into our faces and always trying to charge more money. Cox it is a perfect name for this business, they are cocks. read more

Horrible hours 10-6 SAT and CLOSED SUNDAY and they're always busy. I've had multiple outages over the past few months. I've had an issue with their equipment after every year or two and need to replace it. *The staff is very friendly read more

Was a customer of almost 10 years. Moved and took over a month and a half for them consistently showing up with the wrong truck, finally gave up and canceled them. With with T-Mobile internet, just as good at half the price. Do better Cox. Still incredibly disappointed in them. read more

Hey people! Don't call Cox customer service! Go to this Cox store! If you're feeling frustrated it's probably due to poor over-the-phone "customer service" from an individual you're struggling to understand who's trying to sell you services you don't need! The individuals here genuinely want to help you! Nicolas and Rhyse helped me today and I'm so grateful. They were both knowledgeable and patient, thoughtfully addressed my concerns and fixed the problems quickly and efficiently. This store is now my go-to if I have any issues. Everyone I encountered in here was friendly and kind, the wait was very short. Thank you all so much, appreciate you! read more

READ THE REVIEWS This company is a ripoff. If you like to be inappropriately spoken to, enjoy poor customer service and enjoy having rates double or triple without knowledge, then COX may work for you. If you have any sense of morals and care about good service. DO NOT consider COX. read more

Top customer service. Our cable box had stopped working about a week or two ago after I had unplugged it (I plugged it in again and alas, it was dead) and we finally got around to bringing it in. This store is conveniently located close to our home and it took us a few minutes to find it. Two employees opened the door for us as we entered and we were greeted in a friendly manner by them and the man at the front kiosk. He asked us what we needed and put us in the queue. Our name was called a few minutes later and Xavier was helpful as we got a replacement box and a mini box for our other tv. Easy process, we were in and out in about 10 minutes and Xavier even escorted us to the door, where several other employees thanked us for coming and wished us well. Cox has definitely stepped up their customer service and even though this was my first time visiting this store, first impressions are telling and I can tell you I'm impressed. read more

Let me start off with the good... My experience in this particular store was very good. The staff was extremely helpful and they got me in and out quite quickly. that, however, is where the good experience stopped. Since installing my new Contour boxes...I have had nothing but issues. Not only did I have to take half a day off from work to have them installed, they have not worked right since that time. I have to repeatedly reset my box to make it work. Finally over The weekend, I called and I had Cox do the reset. The box started working again. I then went to tune into my MLB package that I subscribed to, it would not work. When I called Cox, they told me that since I got new boxes it would not work and they would have to fix that. Why the technician would not know that, I'm not very sure. They were able to get the MLB package working after about 25 minutes, but they were quite clear that they had to resubscribe me and that my billing would probably be wrong and to watch for it and call back if and when I saw it was wrong. Here we are two days later. Box not working again. I called Cox and they can automatically detect that I've already called for something today so I get placed through to a person. Again in defense of the individual, she was extremely nice. Unfortunately after 30 minutes on the phone we could not get the boxes going. She let me know I would need to have a tech come out and as you would expect - another 1/2 day I will need to take off work. I let her know I would schedule but would probably call back to cancel as I was fed up and would probably change to direct tv. She showed her care about this by thanking me for calling cox cable and told me to have a nice night. Next call...direct tv. read more

Cox Store - I figured I have to look at this all night so COX should too... #frustrated - Internet Service Providers Near Me - Scottsdale, Arizona

Worst service I have seen. The technicians came over and over again and have no idea what to do. I am paying for the past 7 months full price and it simply does not work as promised. Saying that, there is one thing they do very good. Collecting the bill. read more

This experience was much better than I was expecting. As soon as you walk in there is someone to greet you, find out why you are there and sign you in. They don't make you take a number or anything like that. They have screens up in the store that tell you who they are serving at that moment and who is waiting and what number you are in line. It's pretty high-tech and makes for a pleasant wait time because you aren't wondering how long you will be there. Everyone was very nice and helpful. read more

Came in at 2pm on a weekday and the store was PACKED! They said there would be a 45 minute wait. Crazy. So we left and went elsewhere. I've never seen this at other Cox stores, so if you really need one of their stores, try a different one. read more

I was warned about Cox customer service being the absolute worst. Yet in AZ they have us over the barrel because they are really the only provider in town. Regardless, I went to this store to pick up my modem, the kid wearing a rainbow mask took my info, grabbed the modem, said it was activated and that all I had to do was plug it in. I went to my new home, did as he said, entered all the wifi info and...nothing. Waited 20 minutes and still could not connect to the internet. I called Cox customer service and after a few attempts to connect remotely was told I was given the wrong modem. He gave me a 3.0 when my account was marked for a 3.1. The rep told me to go back to the store and exchange it. I arrived at the store at 2:01 . Doors locked but plenty of customers and employees hustling inside. I knocked on the door and the head hourly employees didn't even acknowledge me. The dude with the rainbow mask saw me and scurried away like a scared mouse. I will be going back in person so they see my face to complain to a manager but just letting everyone know this store is pathetic and just adds to Cox's piss poor customer service reputation. Hope a new provider comes on the scenes because this is ridiculous. read more

I recently went to the Cox store in Scottsdale to arrange having Wi-Fi service activated. As I walked in I noticed about 10 customers waiting and figured this was going to take a while. To my surprise my wait was only 10 - 15 minutes. As my name was called I told the young man what I wanted and less than 10 minutes later I was on my way out the door with a modem and the account set up. What a great experience this was. I will recommend this business to friends with no hesitation. read more

Couldn't be happier to cancel my Cox Service after years of being a customer. They have a new tactic where they hang up on you, after transferring you around several times, when you call to disconnect. This not only happened to me, but to family and other friends, like I said it's a new tactic. They shut off my bills, I was not getting them via mail or email, and that was done by Cox, not me. Meanwhile, my bill was increased. Called and reported this to them and the operator/Customer Service person said, "yes, I've had several people complain about how their paper statements have been turned off and they aren't getting email statements either. You are like the 5th person today to say this". If that is not admitted fraud coming from the horses mouth, I don't know what it. Couldn't be happier to cancel their service. Bill goes up, and you get less services/channels/lower speeds. No thanks. Bye bye! read more

Cox, why does the store have such limited hours? Having customers come by to get their own equipment, is a huge TIME AND COST SAVINGS to Cox. I can't understand why the store opens at 10am and closes at 6pm. The hours should cater to your customer's needs, so they don't have to take time off of work. Many of your clients work 8-5, or later, making a weekday impossible to swap out faulty Cox equipment. Saturdays are available, but only for 4 hours and Sundays the store is closed. Come on now, your prices are too high for this kind of inconvenience. read more

Really raising rates every time one goes there. No idea for same service and promotions, why should we pay so much more. I'm leaving two stars because the person at the store was nice. That being said, Cox has by far the worst service in the world. It will take you days to get someone to help fix any issues. Not to mention their service is one of the most expensive in the country and if I had any other choice in my area I would switch but they've monopolize my zip code. **Avoid at all cost** P.S. still on hold after 45 minutes and three department transfers. read more

Total joke this place is. I canceled cable like the rest of the world is doing. They told me to drop of my cable box at a Cox store, dropped it off, they said I have to wait for a receipt. I took an hour! Cox is such a joke!! read more

This is a general COX review for the store, the phone service and the online chat. Never have I ever been treated so poorly by a company for problems they have caused. I had to go into the store to deal with the ineptitude over the phone and online via chat. Everyone was telling me a simple billing problem was solved for the past 3 months when it never was. The lack of empathy in the store is uncanny too. I will never use this company again once I cancel & I suggest others don't as well if they have options. read more

Rhyes hooked us up to a great plan! He was friendly but knocking off a star because the obnoxious smell in the store gave me a headache.

It's a painful wait to simple return the equipment. You walk in they take your name and scan your devices...then you should be prepared to wait for a minimum of 30 minutes. A complete cluster...it should not be this slow or difficult! read more

I don't know how there's a lot of negative reviews on this Cox store, but personally I had a great experience at this location. Was instantly greeted by staff with a smile and he was very nice and quick, and my problem was quickly solved and I spent minimal time there. Docked off a star mainly because I've been very frustrated with Cox in the past and with the inconsistency that I've been getting before. To be honest, even though it's been pretty positive the last couple of weeks, the inconsistency of service is still there for various situations. FYI: If you're coming in trying to complain about bad internet, just know now that during this time with COVID going around, there's a high chance it is bad because people are all staying home and you will experience packet loss and some abrupt stops, but I know for sure that once this cools down, everyone's internet will get better. It's all logical stuff read more

Go somewhere else if you want speed or good customer service. I have been waiting twenty minutes just to buy a replacement remote. Which takes all of one minute. Cox Store - Internet Service Providers Near Me - Scottsdale, Arizona

This review is for this particular store, not Cox in general (who would get a pretty low review from me). After moving, my Cox bill was almost double the price I was promised when I established my new service. After several phone calls to Cox and at least an hour of my time, I had made no progress. I decided to visit this store as my last resort. After walking in, I was immediately greeted by Michael who listened to my spiel (now perfected after having to explain to multiple billing reps). He quickly found the reason that the other reps were unable to get this fixed. After making the necessary updates, he gave me his email address and told me to reach out if I had any questions. About a week later I got a phone call follow-up from Michael to let me know that the changes were in effect and that I'd get a credit for an overpayment on my previous bill. If I need to contact Cox in the future, my first choice will definitely be visiting this store rather than picking up the phone. read more

Moving up to 3 stars bc the internet got a lot better. Turns out I was paying for the 500mbs internet but coz was only giving us the 250mbs. But to be fair they fixed the problem, credited me, and I was able to get in touch then relatively quickly. Didn't stay on the line to long. read more

So the staff here repeatedly have been very friendly and helpful every time I stop in. However, waiting for over an hour just to drop off equipment is crazy. I am so grateful I don't have cox for my personal home. Dealing with this for my boss and office is plenty. If you must stop in plan for a wait and bring a book to read or a fully charged phone. read more

Wouldn't you think a company in the communications business could communicate? Pretty simple, right? Well it's not really true for Cox. I arrived at the store to pickup a box I had ordered over the phone the night before, seemingly a pretty simple task. I was fourth in line and two people were at the counters waiting on customers. Not too bad, or so I thought. After about a 15 minute wait it's my turn, or so I thought, but I'm never called and one of the two people waiting on customers is now busy working at her station on some other problem. No communication with the customers waiting which has now swelled to about 10-12. Finally she puts her phone on speaker and it sounds as though she's waiting for Cox technical assistance. Wouldn't it make sense for employees to have a direct line to technical support? Just sayin! All this time the second customer service rep is waiting on a customer who has come to the store to ask 500 questions and set-up new service at their home. All of this is taking a V-E-R-Y L-O-N-G T-I-M-E. Finally the CSR that has been on hold with tech support gives up and hangs up, but she still doesn't wait on anyone. After about an hour wait the second CSR is done with the new setup and calls my name, all of the people in the waiting area cheer and I tell them I'll try to make it quick. 10 minutes later I'm out the door. Not so bad except for the 1 hour wait. I would have hated to have been one of the 20 people in line at this point. Hopefully they're not still in the store. If they had just let the people waiting know what was going on it would have made the wait much more bearable. Couldn't they have called someone from the back to help? Yes, there were other people in the building. But they never did any of this! It's all about communication folks! read more

I had to have my account taken care of and was not sure how a visit to this store would go. There was a bit of a wait, it was busy even though I went early and you do need to wear a mask of course. It was a good experience though and the salesperson Erin was very nice and professional. I am very happy with this store and will visit again if I need anything. read more

Cox is pitiful. After the 3rd receiver broke and I went back down to get another one they actually blamed it's failure on me. I think their equipment is absolute garbage and they will not give you a new unit but only beat up, used, refurbished crap that breaks. Also, the user interface for the box is slow and always freezes. Try Dish Network or DirecTV. P.S. You should see what the installation guy did to my house! I had to have them send another guy to come and fix the walls and redo all of the wiring lol. Good luck! read more

This is probably my least favorite place. I've been a customer for the last 3 years, paid my bills on time, paid more than I should have been paying, $260 a month. I wanted to down grade my service and for some reason, they refused my requests. I am never home to enjoy the channels I have and the Internet service has failed me numerous times even though I was informed that I have the highest tier of Internet. I have wasted money on this company. The specialist who served me in this store was rude and very unprofessional. She seemed to forget her salary is paid by customers like me. Karma is a bitch, remember that. read more

If, like me, you are trapped as a Cox customer, this store is probably a better choice than most Cox locations. Still, I had a deceptive hour wait my last visit, only to be sold a defective router/modem. It happens, I suppose. Returned the unit 18 days later only to see they are now carrying a different brand. Hmm. At least the wait was shorter and the installation quicker this time. A total of more than three hours of my time wasted just trying to maintain my internet service. Hey Cox. Transparent pricing would be great. How about no longer giving discounts to new customers and screwing your existing ones? Why knowingly break new customers' budgets with plans they can't afford when promotional discounts end? Why not stop offering free premium cable for just a month or two or three to trick your customers into paying extra for channels they do not want or need? And why keep using unreliable independent contractors for service calls? I'll answer. Cox is not your friend in the internet age. They are not interested in quality of service. They are interested only in squeezing cash out of a slowing dying business model. Watch your billings. read more

We transferred to the area from Chicago and had a low image of cable companies as Comcast is awful at customer experience! Upon stepping into this Cox store we were blown away by the freshness of the decor and the ability for the staff working there to get people's issues fixed and get them on their way! We ordered our new service with Ryan Schultz who could not be nicer and more professional. This guy is passionate about what he does and it shows! He easily explained their cable bundles and assessed our needs as to not waste our money or time. We totally appreciate that! Ryan worked very hard to make sure we were so happy with our new service and constantly told us he appreciated us choosing Cox. Stanly was our installer who came to our home. He continued right on Ryan's passion of service and product knowledge. Stanly was super positive, friendly, smart, and helpful. We went over our wishlist for locations in our new home and everything was set up perfectly. Stanly even had some suggestions as to other equipment we may need if we didn't get the best wifi due to our home design. Ryan even called us after installation to make sure all was good to go! It was a bonus that Ryan happened to be from Wisconsin (where we lived before Chicago)....so we had great fun talking about sports and such while he was waiting for the system to update our information. Thank you Cox for hiring such great staff....they made me feel important, like a family member, cared for, and appreciated. Bravo! read more

Typical Cox store. Employees are slow and everything takes too much time when trying to Simply return any of their equipment or even exchange equipment. Personally I have drop their service for cable I found it to be overpriced and under-delivered. So I guess I cut the cord but I'm very happy because I usually only watch about seven channels and I do not need to pay the price of 250 channels. If they were smart they would charge by the channel a few dollars and let people get what they want rather than give them hundreds of channels that will never be watched. I think over the years Cox Dish and DirecTV will be hurting because of all of the streaming options that are much less expensive and give you what you want. You might want to take a look and change your business model. read more
