On Second thought... no. After being a customer forever, Cox has decided to punish people who don't want their expensive cable service. For internet fast enough to watch Hulu or Netflix in 4K, they charge $100 a month. Oh, and then if you want to watch more than 3 hours of TV a week, then you gotta shell out an extra $50 to make it "unlimited". Like they are going to run out of friggin data ever! I went screaming back to CenturyLink for internet only. $50 a month gets me unlimited data and we can all watch TV like normal people, instead of wondering if we used too many gigabytes today like some sort of cavemen. Get a grip, Cox. You are doing this to get more money, and it's just driving people away. People who WANT TO GIVE YOU MONEY. But, if I can save $100 a month, it's a no-brainer. As far as this store, when I went in to talk to someone about their rates, I was told there was nothing they could do since I had been a customer for 4 years. They offered to sell me an uglier modem for $100, though... so there's that. You can't help keep your customers who have paid you thousands of dollars, but will bend over backwards to give someone rates that are 70% off who's never given you a dime? I self installed for my grandmothers cable Box and I now that I'm looking at her cox bill she was still getting charged $60! Sad ! I am the one that recommended them to my grandma didn't think they would take advantage of her. I have never had any issues with them On my personal account and sadly my grandmother would of never even known this charge was on her account. Shame on you cox! read more

This location discriminates against the disabled. I have filed a complaint with the justice department, but I doubt anything will come of it. Just be aware that if you are disabled and choose to go to this location, you may be required to do something you are physically incapable of doing in order to get service. read more

Update: Two months later to find out the fastest internet speed i ordered was never activated. I only found this out when calling in to switch my old router back on from Cox's POS panoramic crap. I am left so disappointed as a returning customer. I left for several years and used century link and now I remember why. First off my bill is roughly 100 MORE then what the kid in the store told me, still haven't figured that out. During install a tech told me he had to leave because it was to hot outside, it's effing Arizona what do you expect, so I had to wait an additional week and a half for service to be set up. The day the other tech came it was 5 degrees hotter outside FYI. Let me be clear, I was changed 98$ in sep for a week of service I couldn't even use, then charged 400 the following month when it was supposed to be 168, not to mention my service was in and out half of the month and only preforming up to 23mbps when I pay for 150mbps.... I have proof of this on multiple days at a time. The mini box is a freaking joke, the channels are all trash and it's foolish they charge so much for garbage. I was forced to update to the contour box so I could get normal channels like hgtv. If you have any kind of issue and need to chat or call in plan on it taking AT LEAST AN HOUR for any problem it can be the smallest thing, they are on snail time. My account is not accessible online and I've talked to multiple people, it automatically links to a old inactive account, so I don't have access to my statements or bills. Today I spent an hour and 30 minutes to be told that the tool they use isn't working and to chat back in or call later? They do not value my time or yours. I'm am very upset with COX// I have been a customer for over almost 3 years through Connect to compete with COX INTERNET// If I was to cancel this service, I would not be able to re-enroll in the program based on the contract// We just moved and cables need to be set up at our new home// I have a child that needs internet for school// Customer service has given more then one answer about not being able to transfer my services. I have been told they would send someone out to view the property and would get a phone call back - Never got a call back. Called them more then once following Friday, and been transferred to the wrong departments// Only to be told that the correct one is closed, and I have to wait till they open back up on a Monday. Then was told that they don't service my community area, and that it is not contracted with COX and to try talking to the office of the community// Told customer rep that this is an owned property & land and that there is no office or community// Rep insisted that I call some kind of office of the area. Asked for a manager// Rep stated that manager is off, and the customer service rep is working from home and cant transfer the call to a manager// I hung up and called back and spoke to a different rep whom told me that the Tech support office was closed, and that I would have to call back following Monday// Advised by this Rep that their old system states that they don't service my area, but the new system states that they do, but will have to call back Monday for tech to fill out form for SERVICE ABILITY. Called again following Monday, Told it would take 5-7 days for System to add house address to their system// Called them back to see what answer I would get next, and was told it would take 24/48hrs// I've asked to be transferred to Tech support to get a clear date and answer, and told that they where going to transfer and the call to TECH and call was dropped// Called again and call was to be transferred, and call was dropped again. Called again and spoke with another rep whom stated that other houses in the area called a while ago needing service and was turned away (WONDER IF THIS WAS BASED OFF THIER OLD SYTEM THAT WAS MENTIONED THE FRIDAY BEFORE)// I informed the Rep that I was advised the Friday before that thier new system states that they do// Rep stated that I can always try Centrylink. (IM SURE COX IS KNOWING VERY WELL THAT IF I CANCEL THE PROGRAM FOR CONNECT TO COMPETE- I WONT BE ABLE TO RE-ENROLL IN THE PROGRAM BASED ON THE CONTRACT THAT WAS AGREAD ON # YEARS AGO) I've had my Bother in Law look at the electric box that is on the electric pole, and he can see that IT IS A CABLE CONNETION BOX on the pole// So why is COX telling me that they have no ability to serve that area, yet it is possible to set it up, and why have they refused to go out there to look at it, with an excuse that they where not able to service any houses down the street for who knows how long ago???? This store is really clean and the staff is really friendly. My internet has been great and I'm happy with the customer service so far! We went in to get a router that we had pre-ordered last week and (understandably as it was the day before 4th of July) there was a bit of a wait. They had originally told us that it would be a 40 minute wait but only ended up being about 20 mins which wasn't too bad. Once we got to the counter the man that helped us with what we needed was friendly and efficient, then walked us out and held the door for us, which I thought was very polite. We had no problems getting our router and they didn't make us wait for someone to set it up, we could just set it up ourselves which was super easy, fast, and convenient and I really appreciate that aspect of it! The only complaint I have with this store (which is not the store's fault at all) are the customers. Lol. The customers are SO rude! I'm quite visibly pregnant and there were a lot of people waiting for their name to be called on but once someone got up we tried to sit down and this woman just flat out cut me off and took my spot. She then went up to the front and complained about the fact that they already called her name and she was out shopping so they skipped her and that her father in law had just died and she just HAD to return this router RIGHT NOW and guilted them into putting her into the front of the line *rolls eyes*. In no way was this the store's fault (or their problem) but I just had to rant about that real quick because I see a lot of negative reviews on this page that don't really seem like the employee's fault rather than their own impatience and ignorance. read more

Issues with packet loss for the past 5 months. Advertised up to gig down and 40 up. Lucky to get 80 down and 2 up with major packet loss and horrible quality of service. Fourth technician looked at our equipment today and flat out told us "the neighborhood is oversubscribed and cant realistically deliver the service as advertised, it will be months if they ever fix the issue". Cox has offered little help, no credit for falsely advertised service, and now state it will be months to fix issues if at all. Stay well away from this ISP. read more

I have had their service since February have had nothing but problems with it finally got someone to come out here and they said it was installed wrong in the attic so they reinstalled it around the house waited a week still wasn't working right another month somebody else come out here did something to the contour box replaced he left 10 minutes later it wasn't working right I called him he came back he finally got fixed I called Cox and told him I've had them since February only had a service working about half the time they did refund me $200 but for eight months it hasn't worked and I've been paying on time and I've gotten service for half the time that's not right read more

Scam alert. Whatever you do, do not lease a modem from these scam artists. I opened an account for internet and was told I had to either lease their modem or I could purchase my own. I asked if I leased one for $9.99 a month at the end of service I would get that money back and was assured we would. Flash forward a year later and I returned our leased modem and went to collect my refund for the equipment and was told that I wouldn't receive a penny back. I asked why that is and they stated that whether I had the service for one month or 5 years I wouldn't get $9.99 a month back regardless. So I asked could I keep the equipment since I paid for it and was also told no. I spoke to someone in customer service his name was Eric and he also told me this. And I asked him why I was told this and he said he didn't know why. His lack of empathy or any concern was concerning enough for me to warn anyone who wants to use cox internet to buy your own stuff or get ripped off like me. read more

Cox employee smashed my gorgeous, irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind antique crystal lamp, and Cox refused to pay for it. The idiot pushed a sofa aside to get to an outlet, oblivious that he was knocking over the lamp at the other end of the sofa. After lots of run-around, excuses, wasted time, Cox finally stated there was never a work order issued to our place; therefore no compensation would be made. What we finally determined, and what Cox know all along but refused to admit, was that the idiot who smashed the lamp was at the wrong house! Cox has lost a lot more money by us switching providers than if they had simply paid what we asked. Their refusal to admit to a mistake means anyone who can avoid them, should. I have used this Cox Solutions Store on many occasions and have not had a bad experience with the staff. This past week I visited the store to talk to someone about my bill. I just felt that, after being with Cox for over 14 years, I was paying a little too much for TV and Internet service. I met with Audra. She is one of their better assets for dealing with customers. I explained by situation and asked if there was anything Cox could do to help us out. She was very understanding and quoted me a new price that was very fair. I know that some people have had problems in the past with their customer service. Trust me, I expect good customer service from whatever business I am dealing with and Audra was great. read more

This took over an hour because there were 4 employees just hanging out behind the counter talking and laughing and the other clerks were just taking there sweet time and spending most of their time I was there talking with each other between customers!! This is my local Cox store so I use them as regularly as anyone uses this type of store. The positive review is because no matter how crowded it is (when it opens to the lines outside) the staff is very cordial efficient and knowledgeable. The staff today came through as expected. Since the store was not crowded we had an opportunity to have exchanges with most of the techs. They are a happy crew and it shows. Hats off to Matthew Birk, for great service and a simple solution to our problem. (I should mention we went to he store after getting no help and the "its not our equipment" excuse from the person when we tried to resolve our issue on the telephone) read more

Went in to pick up my equipment for new service self install. The people that were there were very nice they were very prompt knowledgeable and helpful unfortunately the company itself is very misleading when I signed up for service it didn't say anything about data but when I went to pick up my equipment I found out I had capped data and that it would cost more for unlimited also I was unaware of that until I got there. Fyi I also had their newest service gigablast with panoramic Wi-Fi.. Blah blah all bull! if you have service with Cox and you want to keep your service this is a great shop to get help from if you're having trouble with your service don't bother because all the great customer service in the world can't make up for just a bad product I didn't even have it for a month I've since canceled and I'm with a new service provider that I absolutely love and just so you know I have 5 streaming devices in my house I don't have cable all I have is internet and streaming TV so I stream a lot of data my new service provider is more than 3 times the speed and less than a third of the price!! amazing!! something Cox could not accomplish on their best day. read more

I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door by a very friendly and helpful employee, Preston. I just needed to pickup a modem for self-installation. He looked up my account, grabbed my modem, offered to activate it right then (which was perfect since I was going to islet it up as soon as I got home), then I was out the door. I don't think I've ever run an errand that fast. Must've been about 2-3 minutes tops! Oh, he also walked me to the exit and opened the door for me. Such a gentleman. Maintenance service crew new they had to replace a service line across my yard - never contacted me. cut my water line 2x without fixing it or contacting me afterwards. had to call them to fix it and then they did a very bad remedial fix. cost me over $200 (repair & water bills) to get it done right but Cox wouldn't pay for it. not a way to treat any customer - dropped them like a bad habit. read more

I originally signed up for $65/month for just internet and then they charged my account to $101 saying that $65 was only a years worth plan. Which ok, but then I call to figure out why then they say they can set me up for a loyalty plan for $75 a month and won't give me my money back for the difference so I set up with Century link for TWICE the amount of speed for $65/month. And Cox wants to still charge me an extra $19 for using their shitty service for a week. I asked if they could split the difference since they already upcharged me and they gave me a hard no. Not trying to make their wrong right. Pathetic, and money hungry company. Will never use Cox again!!!! read more

horrible place and very irresponsible had an appointment today from 8am to 10am and was waiting for the tech to arrive turns out they canceled my appointment so i called and they said that i cancelled which was not true and that they called my number and came to my house again not true they texted me saying it was cancelled!!!!!!! i was waiting all morning and had to cancel other things i had going on for this to happen and now i have to wait days for them to come again when first of all it was there damn fault!!!!!!! this is ridiculous and bad business i wouldn't give no stars at all! read more

It made my day to go to Cox store and was taken care of by Ted Antoniadis. I have had computer problems for two months and on the phone with Cox agents for at least 20 times. Without internet service for 3 days and finally was told by agent that Modems do die she placed a UPS order for the panoramic modem. When I got another phone agent and was told the order was shipped by no idea how much longer it would be and asked her if I could get this modem in a store, because I was told there was a shortage in Arizona and Nevada and could not get one in the store. Bottom line I went to the store and Ted helped me right away because they were not busy, but got swamped while I was there. He took his time to explain everything and said hook up is simple and that I should have a Cox APP on my phone and for my online account. Within 15 minutes I had a panoramic modem and new box that includes recording and the accounts said up. He made my day and I was able to conceal a Tech visit. I know now I will go in this store for any problems and feel all the agents seem nice but Ted was very patient dealing with me for I do not understand all this computer and Tv items. Now I am thinking about the security system he discussed too, but money is tight and I am just glad I finally have fast internet and special add ons. This store has always been helpful and so much better than waiting for phone help or even chat sessions. What a relief to get special help and I have been with Cox for over 30 years. Your staff was very nice and proffessional which is a huge plus but How can a trchnology company be so bad at technology process? Go into the store and you can plan on a thirty minute stand in the line even if your just dropping hardware off. Everyone stands in the same line as everyone whether your starting service and picking service levels. Just so your tech can scan the hardware? I could have scanned it myself and had a reciept printed instead you stand in the line so they can scan it??? Congratulations cox your now the new MVD office with the most illogical process I've seen in several years. My issue us not with the store but with the piss-poor service Cox communication supplies. They over charge and under perform. That's the unwritten slogan. For new customers, shop somewhere else. For existing customers, get out as soon as the contract (or should I say ball-and-chain) is up. I'm trying to watch a show and the bandwidth they advertise has yet to be seen on my speed tester, not only that, it's so bad that I'm writing my review with 4g from my phone. If I could give negative stars I would. My life us officially shorter because of the stress they continually give me and my fiance. I can't ever work from home because our internet is bad. Word of advice Cox, if you want to keep your customer base I suggest you start giving us what we want and when we want it. Otherwise, take your excuse if a company somewhere else. You know, you can say what you want about Cox quality of service, prices, down time, or what have you--but this particular store and the employees that man it are outstanding in my opinion. I just got back home after going to cancel my Internet service, due to cost only after my promo period ended, and my experience was as good as it gets--and the same is true every other time I've gone. There were at least a dozen people ahead of me when I walked in, but they were each handled quickly while I waited for about 15 minutes. I was given water to drink, and when I got to the desk David handled the transaction with a smile. He allowed me to pay my final bill, which was less than I'd assumed it would be, and held the door for me when I left. Caleb has also worked with me in the past--another top notch employee. If it weren't for the sticker shock when the promo ends, I'd be very happy to continue with Cox. And, in a year, I'll be back without a doubt. read more
