When I called to discuss it, I was given the runaround, had calls dropped, and ultimately wasted several hours with zero resolution. I then emailed and was met with more obstacles. They refused to assist or escalate my issue unless I verified my account via text message, despite me providing all other requested information. I eventually received a corporate contact, which hasn't been much better. It's been days with no response. It's clear they don't value their customers. Several friends have already left Cox, and I'm about to join them. Do yourself a favor and choose another provider. Google Fiber and a streaming service will save you money and frustration.

I was called and texted by Eldred. He was polite and professional and explained everything. He personally came out the next day to inspect our yard to determine where they would run the line. Two days later they installed the fiber from our alley, and the next day Kyle came out to install the hardware. Everyone was great, the service was superior, and we've had awesome Internet speeds ever since. It's totally refreshing to speak with Eldred and have a normal human interaction. Just prior to this experience I was getting an infuriating runaround from cox between the AI bots and their shabby customer service just to cancel. It tripled in two years. I called customer service and talked to some Indian who went by the name of "Mike". He assured me my bill was going to be lowered to $66 a month, which to me is fair. My problem is that unless I called and made some noise they would keep jacking my rate. As soon as I complained they lowered the lowered the rate. Just a scam. How many people are they charging $150 a month because they didn't call and complain?

I finally was able make changes online. There's several companies providing the internet service now in the area which was not the case 20 years ago. We are using one of them and are much happier. Wish we had made the change sooner!
