The food didn't disappoint, as usual. Although the cheeseburger I had was rather dry. The experience dining in however was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. The music of choice on the overhead sound system was Spirit 105.3. I think it is extremely inappropriate for Christian or heavily faith based music to be played in a place of business that caters to the general public. A person's faith is not something that should be forced upon everyone when a large portion of the customers to not share the same faith. I go to Herfy's regularly because I'm addicted to their fries & fry sauce. I'm a vegetarian and they have lots of nummy options for me to choose from...veggie burger, fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, etc. The food is high quality and very tasty. I saw a few reviews down where someone said you are forced to leave a tip. That is so untrue. There is a tip jar, that if you choose to, you can leave a tip, but they never even ask you to do so. I go at least weekly & I do leave a tip, but that's my choice because I like the customer service. read more

They blasted worship music, at one point a man came in asking for a bathroom and they refused him away and I understand not having public bathrooms. But later while I was thinking how insanely expensive everything was a woman walked in and sweetly asked for a cup of ice , the workers were extremely rude and when she said her mouth was dry they said they could sell her a cup of water for 28¢. She couldn't afford that and left but it's just sad.. that they would charge someone who needs it. In the end, I think I was most bothered by the inconvenience..I..a paying customer.. seemed to cause such an inconvenience to the cashier. Herfy's has been one of my absolute favorite places to eat ever since I was a kid, and that hasn't changed at all. Wide menu selection, great food quality, always made to order, and a wonderful atmosphere. It looks a little dinky and retro but I can guarantee you won't regret stopping in. The staff always do their best to make everyone feel welcome and at home, and are extremely helpful. A great, clean family place with plenty of options everyone will enjoy. Love the food and milkshakes but the seating sucks. Looks like they are trying to clean up the place but kept the same old uncomfortable chairs that are attached (not friendly for bigger people). A bit on the greasy side; but, if you're not worried about your weight, it's pretty good stuff. I love the deep fried mushrooms and oysters. This is the better of the Herfy locations in my opinion, although at times they can be a bit too salty. I had to throw half of my order away once. Still, a good thing! (I also don't like the tip cup that the put at the drive up window. It feels a bit unnecessary, "in your face", and awkward for the customer. Positives: Reasonable prices, cashier at the drive thru window was very customer service oriented, and they had FRY SAUCE!! I had the absolute worse experience with herfys in auburn I ordered a bacon cheeseburger got a burnt chicken sandwich that I had to wait 20 minutes for even after I went into the drive through got all the way home to the wrong meal called herfys and the continued to tell me I need to bring my food back in order for them to do anything I come all the way back down there for the manager to be in a conversation in the lobby with his "friends" when we told him we need to speak with him he whooshed us off with his hand until we continued to be persistentwith him he finally came back & because we didn't bring the melted shakes back refused to give us our money and called the police on us after almost an hour of waiting for our refund he finally refunded us 18 out of the 29 dollars we spend on our meals they had children going to the back that I believe were his grand children they are under staffed and he left all the heat for his employees to deal with ill never spend a penny there again. read more

I worked here awhile back and the cleanliness in the back is horrible. She makes the fish on her own and freezes them then puts them in boxes. If she drops a piece of fish she picks it up and puts it in the box, she doesn't throw it out. I would not want to eat something that has fallen on the floor. When she cooks the hamburgers she would put a ton on the grill at once to cook them half way then take them off and put them in a dish half way cooked, unrefrigerated and cooks them fully once they are ordered. That is the danger zone for bacteria to grow. She does this with the eggs too. She will cook them in advance and keep them out on the shelf and just reheat them up once the "Farmer" burger is ordered. And those burgers are ordered maybe three times a week so the eggs sit there that long. The restaurant itself is dirty. The floors are rarely mopped. The back gets wiped down each night, but not cleaned as well as it should be. The chairs and booths are taped in some areas. There is dirt and grease build up on the She NEVER wears gloves, There had been a few times a customer would ask for their money back because she is cooking without gloves. The soda machines are never cleaned, before they had gotten the new machines the ice would be put in this thing and it had mold on the bottom of it and mold in the scoop holder for the ice scoop. We would split all the cash tips that we had gotten between her and whoever was working there, which is understandable, but any tip that was made on card we would not see a dime of. It would all go to her and only her. The food tastes good but it is so unsanitary that I would never eat there again. It is disgusting!! read more

I enjoy going to this Herfys! The cook here is very friendly, and makes you feel welcome. Coming to this Herfys is like walking into a 1970's hamburger diner! They make A tasty hamburger and basket of fries for a good price. They also have a drive through that is convenient. The only downside is the inside seating area is a little greasy, but it just adds to the 1970's atmosphere, so nobody really cares. But even with that said, it is still clean. read more

The price of the french fries on the menu board $2.19, they charge you $2.39 I pointed it out over a month ago!!, to the manager. still hasnt been changed?? and they wouldnt give Me the difference. Isnt it against the law to post a price , but they charge you a higher price? arent you suppose to pay the price thats on the menu board?? and arent they suppose to change the price on the menu board when they raise the price?? and if they dont change it I point it out arent I suppose to get the difference back?? Love the building ( I think of the Krusty Krab ) and the customer service friendly and fast. The sweet onion burger, fries and shake, not so much. Like the other comment says, it tastes like everything is cooked together. Half of my small order of fries was normal and the other half was a dated dark-dark brown. read more
