We've come here on and off since the 70's when it was Herfy's. I haven't been here for years, but we were hungry and decided to give it a try. We got a carry out and my mother got Pawns & Curly Fries, I got Blue Cheeseburger with Curly Fries and my girlfriend got a plain Bacon Cheeseburger and we got an order of stuffer jalapenos. I am not sure who is more of a picky eater between my mother and girlfriend, but everything was so good. I never expected my mom to actually comment that her prawns were actually good, but she did, and she even mentioned how good the jalapeños were, and they were. This is one of my favorite places in Auburn. They have the best french fries with delicious fry sauce and everything here is huge. The burgers are awesome. The seafood options are all delicious and the milk shakes are on point as well. Great food. The large fries is large enough to be a meal in and of itself. read more

Terrible! The chicken sandwich is not even REAL! Over cooked and tastes like cardboard! I had to drive back to Herfys and get a refund and go to Burger King for a REAL chicken sandwich! Love this place. The kids that work there are always so nice and helpful. The lady that owns this place is so nice. I think it's the owner, the cook anyways. The burgers are killer and their milkshakes.. Damn. Banana Oreo is my favorite. Fried prawns and the fish and chips are awesome too. The cost is a little high, but it's not like you don't get a kick ass meal that is a great portion. Not some lame size. So I'm not worried about it. It's maybe a buck or two more than what you would pay for a meal at McDonald's or wherever, so not to much higher. Besides, it's like, a thousand times better. read more

Herfy's has the best French fries ever. What makes them perfect is the fry sauce. The burgers are excellent too. I also enjoy their shakes as they are one of the few places in town with pineapple shakes. My disappointment is that they are closed on Sundays at the location closest to home. read more

I grew up going to Herfy's. At that time it was the social hang out. NOT ANYMORE. Recently I decided to go and order some fish and chips. I was never more disappointed. There is a time and place for oil....and on my pants IS NOT one of them. The food was soaked in oil and oozed out of the fish and then of course on my pants. The fries were cold and the gal at the window was very dissociated with her job. I would not recommend the fast food joint to anyone. read more

This is an updated review. Well, I went back, was in a similar situation/time of day/type of hunger so I opted for the same ol $2.99 cheeseburger I got before since it was good and just needed a quick snack. Well this time it was one of the best burgers I've ever had!!!!! Before it was good but not on that level, this time it was so juicy, bun perfectly cooked with a slight crisp on the outside, just amazing! So amazing that I bought another one of the burgers and it was just as good! I can't wait to go back, it's now my go to when I'm in Auburn! read more

I liked the Fish and Chips before the latest change. I do not like the fish. It's like they took a long fish sliced it down both sides and used the after portion. Maybe using the good meat for fish sandwiches. And they have gotten more expensive. I know the burgers are to 'die for', but they are way too big for me to eat. I haven't been here for over a year, and now I remember why. I love the fries, but I can't live on love!! I will stick to Ivar's. read more

Sometimes I like to stop and pick up a 1/2 pound burger, Halibut Burger and sometimes Mushrooms or a Milkshake. Food is pretty good and it fills you up. Sometimes the Halibut is awesome, sometimes just meh. But the prices are okay and the food is okay, so solid three stars. read more

I've been in a few times and each time have been greated by well mannered staff and a wonderful atmosphere. I've tried most of the seafood burgers and they're all wonderful. The fish and halibut are crispy on the outside and nice and juicy on the inside, and I absolutely LOVE the tartar sauce. If you don't like seafood they have wonderful burgers. The mushroom Swiss is to die for, and if you just want a cheese burger with everything on it the Big Cheese is the way to go. I also really love the fries, they taste amazing with or without sauce and have just the right amount of salt. They make excellent onion rings too. Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good spot to eat, also has an excellent view of the mountain, provided the Washington weather permits it. read more

I was in town visiting to purchase a car and after a long day I found myself famished! I pulled up Herfy's and decided to try it. With several locations I thought maybe it was a local favorite. I ordered the bacon blue cheese burger with fries and a drink. My total was $11-12. The restaurant itself was a bit dated which helped my anticipation in thinking it would be amazing. The blue cheese was good as was the bacon. A little too much cheese for my liking, it kind of overpowered the rest of the burger. The patty was disappointing. Staff was friendly and helpful. The French fries looked amazing but I could only bother to eat a few despite my hunger as they were very starchy and just not quite right. I love local but this didn't hit the spot. read more

I've been eating at Herfy's since I was a little boy (anybody else remember the Wacky Burger Box?). This place makes a really good hamburger but I'm shouting out their fish and chips. It's obvious the fillets of fish are not purchased precut and breaded. They're long and narrow, like a real fish fillet should be. Occasionally the fish is a little bit greasy, but most the time it's just golden brown and delicious. I'm a big fan of their burgers, but it's the fish and chips that deserve star billing. By the way, you'll never finish the small order yourself, so only order the large if your feeding the whole family. read more

This place is a hidden gem! It's right in plain sight, but clearly overlooked. They have incredible food with an even better variety. Although I've heard great things about the seafood, I can attest that the burgers are to die for and pair very nicely with a shake. Went to this Herfys for dinner and ordered a herfy value meal for 8.95 dollars i asked to substitute the fountain drink for a milk shake ( anticipating to pay more money ) when i got the bill i was charged 14.66 dollars i then asked why it cost so much the lady behind the counter explained to me that they do not substitute fountain drinks for milk shakes and that i would have to add the milk shake to my order i then asked for my fountain drink that i had also paid for and she told me that it was to late the transaction was finalized and to have a good night i walk to my car to eat my burger and it was cold and greasy this was the worse fast food experience i have ever had my suggestion to anyone thinking of eating at this establishment is to go somewhere else ( the reason i went to my car to eat was because the restaurant was filthy inside i guess that should have been my first indication not to eat there ) read more

This is an odd chain as not all of their stores make the food the same. This store has the BEST hamburger in the world! I love the Big Cheese. However, when we have tried the one in Tukwila as well as the one on Lee Hill in Auburn, it is no where close to being the same. Be prepared for outdated 70s style decor. read more

Herfy's in auburn is kind of a neat throwback to the 70's the building and decor are dated, but kind of fun in a retro way. Countless fried fish and appetizers line the menu, however what I came for were the burgers. Not bad, they appear to use a griddle to cook 1/4lb burgers, not sure if frozen or fresh but they were ok, maybe a little thin. The sauce and lettuce mixed nicely together in a messy clump on the bun, which is definitely ok with me. Fries are the kind you get as a kid in the school cafeteria the krinkle cut kind. I am sure some people love these, but if you are trying to be an adult burger place and I believe this place caters to people trying to find the type of burger you can't and McDonalds, then get some real frys. There are better burgers in Auburn to be had, however there wasn't anything wrong with these. I recommend though if you have a craving for an awesome burger that you try something else. This place is a classic throw back burger joint which serves up nothing but the best flavor and service. I ordered the Bacon Blue cheese combo and got way more than I expected. The fries are like a bag of crack, or if anything, a bag of Lays potato chips..."you can't eat just one." They had just the right amount of salt and not undercooked. The food didn't disappoint, as usual. Although the cheeseburger I had was rather dry. The experience dining in however was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. The music of choice on the overhead sound system was Spirit 105.3. I think it is extremely inappropriate for Christian or heavily faith based music to be played in a place of business that caters to the general public. A person's faith is not something that should be forced upon everyone when a large portion of the customers to not share the same faith. I go to Herfy's regularly because I'm addicted to their fries & fry sauce. I'm a vegetarian and they have lots of nummy options for me to choose from...veggie burger, fried mushrooms, mozzarella sticks, etc. The food is high quality and very tasty. I saw a few reviews down where someone said you are forced to leave a tip. That is so untrue. There is a tip jar, that if you choose to, you can leave a tip, but they never even ask you to do so. I go at least weekly & I do leave a tip, but that's my choice because I like the customer service. read more

0/5 burgers were Burger King level. But with INSANELY expensive prices. Their milk shakes were okay. They blasted worship music, at one point a man came in asking for a bathroom and they refused him away and I understand not having public bathrooms. But later while I was thinking how insanely expensive everything was a woman walked in and sweetly asked for a cup of ice , the workers were extremely rude and when she said her mouth was dry they said they could sell her a cup of water for 28¢. She couldn't afford that and left but it's just sad.. that they would charge someone who needs it. In the end, I think I was most bothered by the inconvenience..I..a paying customer.. seemed to cause such an inconvenience to the cashier.
