I was very disappointed that 1 week after buying the car I was asked to bring it in for an oil change. I was shocked to spend almost $60K for a car to learn that they didn't provide a simple oil change before purchase. 2 weeks later the car has a blow out with my entire family. Again something simple that should have been checked out by the dealership. When I tried to change the tire the lug nut key was not in the car. So i was stuck with my family of 5 on the side of the road. Luckily I had a contact with a dealership that was close to me at the time and they came out and were able to get the locking lug nut off at no charge. They will get all the service business and future purchases going forward. At the end of the day you expect a luxury dealership to offer some basic service that was just not provided. read more

They sell you insurance telling you that the same dealer will cover it. But it's not the truth and they offered a cash down payment and we had to pay and it is not reflected in the loan when we received the papers. And all this was done by SAM SOHAIL Finance manager. I wish I could give the dealership a better rating. I can say the staff is very nice, but that is about it. I've had my used Jeep from Bee Cave a little over a month now and continue to run into issues. I hadn't had the vehicle for a day and needed to take it back to the dealership for an alinment, which should had been done before purchase. At the inital purchse I was told the vehicle came with the tool kit for door removal. I have searched the entire car and never came across it. When trying to reach out about possibly getting a set, I was brushed off and told "You can look at Amazon." Upon further investigation of the car, they did not clean out the back seat area leaving trash and other items from the previous owner, and the passenger side mirror in the sun visor will not stay connected to the frame. I have asked for a key for the locking bolt for the spare tire, and again brushed off and have not gotten a response since. I understand that maybe I should have looked a little more at the car before purchasing, but I also think the attention to detail from the dealership is seriously lacking. I had an extremely disappointing experience at Covert Cadillac in Bee Cave May 31st 2025. My partner and I were ready to purchase a vehicle and came prepared with approved financing through a well-known bank -- one that Covert Cadillac actually partners with. Despite having everything in order, the dealership refused to sell us the vehicle. This made it very clear that they were more focused on profiting from the financing process than actually helping customers buy a car. It felt like a manipulative and predatory sales tactic, especially since our bank's rate was better and already approved and works with them. According to their sales manager the manager above him and the owner all agreed to not let us buy the car. We ended up walking away and taking our business elsewhere. If you're planning to use outside financing -- even from a bank they work with -- be aware that you may face pressure or outright denial. Beware!!!! We were so happy with our experience here thinking we could trust the neighborhood dealership that sponsors so many community events. Our bad. Covert Bee Cave sold us an almost-new $96k Dodge RAM truck at market rate ... after multiple issues with the engine we learned was actually a SALVAGE vehicle they purchased at an auction, sold to us for tens of thousands of dollars over what it was worth. (The entire engine was replaced at 1,700 miles, wasn't on the carfax.) The sales guy had told us it was an owner turn in. While Covert has admit fault and admit that this was their mistake that they failed to disclose this was a salvaged vehicle, they won't give us our money back or make us whole: instead they say we have to submit a claim with RAM. They are now avoiding our emails/calls for more information. Now we have to get an attorney involved at an expense of several thousand dollars just to find out what happened to this truck that we now own and is worth tens of thousands of dollars less than we paid for it just five months ago...with an "replaced" engine that keeps having issues with only 6,000 miles on it. We made the mistake of trusting Covert Bee Cave as our local dealership who we have seen investing in the community and thought we could trust... our mistake!! Beware!!! read more

I brought my truck to them with a list of items that needed to be addressed under warranty. I even printed out a list so I would not forget and neither would my advisor. I dropped the truck off and waited a week. No update. I call in and am told they are looking at one thing, the outlet not working, and they already fixed the oil leak. I let 3 more business days go by and have to call again. I can't get a hold of anyone. I leave messages. I call a few days later after not being called back. I am told by my advisor, who I could only reach after asking for a manager that parts are on the way for the outlet. I wait until mid next week. I am told by my advisor she doesn't know if parts came or ordered or what. She can't be bothered to find out it seems. She says the oil leak is getting fixed that day. The one they said they fixed two weeks ago. I ask about the other items. She is missing the howling from the rear-end. Says I didn't mention it. I did and even left her a print out. She never called me, when I called I had to escalate because "notes left on her screen where she can't miss it to call me" were never returned. I had to escalate to the service director. They had my truck 31 days, returned it to me with a howling rear end, a transmission that still slammed into second gear, a infotainment that still froze if you drove the truck then got back in it less than an hour later, and only partially repaired. I tried to reach the General Manager Mike Ishak. If you call before 3 they will say he is in a meeting, if you call after 3 he is gone for the day. I was able to duplicate this about 6 times. When I called them out on that, the receptionist got really snotty and said "so what do you want?" My advisor got really passive aggressive too when I pointed out they had my truck for nearly a month and no communication. She sent a very passive aggressive text telling me to talk to her manager "and have a great day!" I tried reaching out to Dan Covert that runs this location. He responded once via text and then went silent when I mentioned the issues I was having. If you look at the website, the GM and this Dan Covert's email address goes to sales. The other Covert dealers have their GM and the Covert that runs that dealer, email address. Mike and Dan Covert don't want to be bothered and refuse customer contact. Based on the truck and the only other GMC dealer near me being Covert, I decided to unload this truck and get rid of it after only two and a half months of ownership. My truck was poor quality, but the service Dan Covert and his team provides was even worse. I'll never do business with Covert with company fleet vehicles or personal again. Go look at reviews past. orrible experience with a leaky sunroof on our SRX. They cost twice as much to do repairs, don't fix things the first time, and don't check their work. First time I brought it in, they cleaned out the drain lines for $187. More expensive than if I'd gone somewhere else, but I thought they had a lot of experience with the issue so it would be worth it. Wrong. They didn't fix the issue and didn't bother checking to see if it was fixed. I found out when water started pouring in the next time it rained. Took it back and this time they said that the drain lines in the front had to be replaced. $800 later ($25 in parts, $775 in labor), still not fixed. And once again they didn't bother to check if it was fixed or not. So deja vu - water still poured in when it rained. Brought it back thinking they'd stand behind their work and fix the mistake. Wrong again. Instead they came back with a $3,400 estimate to replace the seals around the sunroof. Thanks anyway. read more

Worst dealership I've ever delt with. I don't know how they sleep at night. 1st- the sales guy lied about his trade offer. Told me he'd give me $33k, which is why I went there, but actually only gave me $31k bc of the "tax credit". This is scam #1. 2nd- Rafael the finance guy tried to sell me their different warranties/insurance and after I told him no 4 times he finally stfu, then he tried to sell me their Covert Cadillac protection plan- Scam #2, CPP is $3k and it had a gps on it (why do we have onstar) some other BS things and a paint protection on the car that they never could show me where it was applied to the car. I kindly asked Rafael to take the CPP off and he simply lied and said he couldn't. #3- They also sold me a Certified Pre owned car with 60% life brakes and a chip in the windshield and told they would fix it. Took the car back to get it fixed, pick car up and the brakes were never done or the windshield. They just lie lie lie. I hope people read this so the same thing doesn't happen to them. read more

This fact becomes important - hang on. I was/am looking for a Toyota Corolla XSE Hatchback. At a Caddi dealer? Not particularly. But, after searching and using CarEdge.com, I found a used 2023 with 34,000 miles on it that had a CarFax minor accident warning, and thought I would pursue it. I called Covert Friday morning and their internet sales manager, Chris Tropiano began working on the deal. I sent all the information he needed, and completed the application and was approved rather quickly. We haggled over the price and payment as anyone would. Narrowed it down to the price that worked. Friday night I could not continue working on the deal, I had to attend the local High School football game. So I called Chris Saturday morning. He asked if the price was right or could he do more to guarantee my business. Chris also said they would ship the car and pay for the shipping. I said "take another $25 off monthly payment and we have a deal." He said he would bend his manager's arm and get us there. He would call me back shortly. An hour later I received a text from him saying they sold the car to another buyer. He said if I was in Austin, I would have had a better chance of sealing the deal. It gets better. About an hour after the text, I called and asked for any sales person working that day. Asked if the car was still for sale. What do you think they said? It was still available. So I text Chris. His first response was, "who told you that?". In other words, they were not supposed to tell me that the car was still for sale. I am sure they shuffled it to a sister dealership because they did not want to pay for shipping, did not want to live up to their end of the bargain, or some other dealer excuse. Note, I did not ask for shipping. I would have driven to Austin. Then Chris proceeds to send me other options (that were garbage). "Hey we have the approval, let's find something else." I don't want something else. I don't want that POS Accord with 50,000 miles that probably smells like dead fish or rotten eggs. I don't want a Honda Cr-V. I wanted the Corolla. This is the classic bait and switch handled poorly. Later, I received an email from the general sales manager Brian Chock asking what salesperson told me it was still available. Due to our current car being totaled due to hail damage, we went out searching for a late model used car but I had a fairly specific wish list, so I needed someone to work through it with me. Our wonderful salesman, Alex Davis, was hands down the best we've ever had! His knowledge of cars and what each of them have to offer is beyond impressive, but his respectful, helpful, intentional yet relaxed demeanor made it such a enjoyable experience! He helped us find the perfect vehicle and invested about 7 hours with us, making sure we knew every single thing about our new SUV! As if that wasn't impressive enough, he even personally delivered the car to us the next day, to our HOUSE, which was 2 hours away!! (They had to keep it one more day to take care of a recall item.) AND, on top of all of that, he gave us a bottle of wine and a couple of hats! I mean, come on! The entire Covert Cadillac experience is top notch! We weren't in the market for a new caddie but their used inventory was extensive and we found just what we wanted! I bought a pre-owned car here that had mechanical issues the second i left. I should have gone with my gut and left before even signing ppwk. The negotiation process was extremely stressful. We were not agreeing on numbers (they were WAY off) and I asked for my trade keys back numerous times. They wouldnt honor my request to give me my keys back and thought sending the salesperson back with different numbers over and over was a better idea. We did finally agree on numbers..Numbers that I said I needed to be close to when I very first walked in the door...3 hours prior The mechanical issues never got better, they did try to take it to Acura dealership but even Acura couldn't figure it out. They ignored my calls to back out the deal, they never gave me updates on the Acura, i was having to call every few days. Meanwhile, i'm getting my first bill on a car i've never even had possession of. They did give me a loaner, which I was grateful for, but , the first one I rec'd had an expired plate and very bad brakes, dangerous even to be honest..very loud grinding noises and hesitation to stop....the 2nd one had plates on it that belonged to a completely different car. At this point im not surprised at all at the carelessness...horrible I was really upset, the salesperson kept telling me a manager would call. I never got a call from a manager. I figured they were not backing me out of this car at this point. I get it, its their right since its a pre-owned car. Only 40k miles, but still... I shouldn't have signed...but to me, that is a very bad way to do business. They have on their website that you have 150 miles or 3 days to return. Well if you are ignored ...how is that possible? I decided to beg them to just trade me out of this car. I started sending comparable priced vehicle suggestions that were on their website. I was ignored alot, or told its not here, when the website clearly said it was on the lot. I even asked for lease pricing, I was desperate for their help. I knew another dealer would never take that Acura as a trade with all the warning lights ...at this point I was dependent on the business that put me in the bad situation to begin with..The salesperson finally started sending me videos of new cars he said that would be in my budget to lease. This went on for a whole afternoon. I was like, yes, please, ill take any one of them. I was starting to feel some relief, until i got a call later that day. Oh Sorry, these are over what you said you wanted to spend. What a waste of time. The poor salesperson was out there with a bad knee taking videos of cars all day long when a manager could have just told him we wouldnt have been there on numbers. but no.. Again, here were are... I decided to just keep searching the website. Finally i sent them a stock number they said was on their lot. It had quite a bit more miles on it than i would have ever ever purchased but i needed a way out and it was a nice vehicle. I went up there to sign ppwk. In finance i was completely lied to and told I HAD to buy a key replacement warranty even though i specifically said I did not want it. The finance representative told me her manager said "Oh i asked my manager and he said you have to buy it, but you can submit cancellation ppwk to cancel it"...im so floored at this point...i Just signed the stupid warranty...i wasnt going to get in an argument about it..I sent in the cancellation the following business day. No response..I emailed for updates, never rec'd an email back. I had to call credit union to have that taken care of and find out what they did. I had equity in the original car i brought in to trade. It was a perfect car. I was just looking for something more economical. Final outcome had me in the negative because of their dealer addons and bs warranties. My advise is to just go somewhere else. Especially if you are looking at pre-owned. We were half way there when we got the call that they sold the truck. The salesman felt bad about it and said it wasn't his doing, but still.... Very unimpressed with this dealer. We went there to look at a car that they had posted online and had pictures of. It wasn't there and we were told it was in route. We opted to look at another one that they had but the couldn't find the keys to it. Then the sales guy said it was going to service to have the running boards replaced. When we came back they weren't replaced and the other salesman said they weren't gonna be replaced but repaired which is fine just disappointing to be lied too. Went in to lease a car with my wife and our children, dealt with the fairly typical car salesman tactics that we'd expect from just about any car salesman, but By the end of it, we were about to sign a contract and the salesman made mention that he had to run the credit that we were completely under the impression he already ran. We asked him not to run it because we were under the impression that he already did, and that he breached a certain level of dishonesty that we were at that point uncomfortable with, and asked to speak to a manager. The manager guaranteed that the numbers we agreed upon were %100 going to hold up after the credit inquiry, at that point we inquired why we should trust that, as we had already been lied to about the fact that our credit was ran and our car would be ready after a quick signature. His reply was "I've been doing this for 20 years" my reply was something along the lines of "okay but how can I trust that this is all as you say it is when ______ already created a level of dishonesty in this deal?" His reply was verbatim "because I've been doing this for 20 years" to which I deemed very arbitrary information that doesn't answer my question. The short of this, is that the salesman at this point pulls his chair up behind me, gets in my personal bubble over my shoulder and starts asking me "if I'm calling him a liar" to which I replied, " you lied about running the credit and created a falsity in this entire situation, this is just bad business" and the salesman and manager dismissed us. We didn't speak any further besides me saying "this is purely bad business" to the salesman before exiting the building. The salesman then continues to follow us out of the building and into the parking lot, asking if I'm calling him a liar. My mother was in town and accompanied us to the visit, she turned around and called him a liar. At that moment he made haste walking straight towards my mother, got right in her face, and said "what did you say? I'm a what?!" My wife had to take my children to our car while another employee made haste to come outside and stand infront of the salesman that followed me out of the building and physically held him back with his hand on his chest to keep him from getting any closer to us, as I stepped infront of my mother to fend this guy off, as anyone would in defense of their mother. For the safety of all parties, I'm going to leave names out of this. Although our salesman was beyond inappropriate to the point of terrifying my oldest child and our 5 month old daughter, he told us that he has a family of his own when we first walked in with our family, and as a father taking care of a small family as well, I would feel terrible to find out that I put any kind of dent in this guy being able to make a living or keep his job. He also has all of our information/address etc. so I'd really like to avoid angering someone so seemingly easily unhinged any further. I'm not writing this review to get anyone in trouble, I'm writing it because i feel like it's warranted. I had the worst experience at a dealership that I've ever had by a landslide. I expect a certain level of dishonesty from car salesman, and I expect them to be able to professionally handle the very foreseeable tension that builds in a room when the customer clearly calls out the typical game playing, or when a disagreement arises. What I didn't expect, is what transpired after the matter. I don't know who the manager on site was, but it definitely wasn't the one pictured on the yelp page; so I'm not sure if a manager technically got involved at all. All in all, definitely won't be returning to this dealership to say the least. If you plan on visiting covert In beecaves, my advice would be to avoid calling out any blatant lies, even if you're speaking at room level. Just leave, so that you can ensure that you leave alone or whomever you came with and not with your salesman following you out the door trying to pick a fight. read more
