936th different cheesesteak eaten in the last 4 years. Guest Eater Amigo Dan. I love Ye Olde Coventry Pub!! You can have lunch at the bar with the local contractors or play bridge with the ladies in the dining room!! Linda was a very welcoming and gracious host. She was determined to get the perfect blend of Lancaster's Double Chocolate Stout and Strawberry Wheat in my Chocolate Covered Strawberry Beer and she did!! The meals we saw coming out of the kitchen were huge. We got the day's special, prime rib sandwich. It came with wonderfully coated french fries. Me not loving my sandwich was probably more of a me problem. The meat was a touch well done for me. I would have liked a different cheese.

Open Faced Roast Beef Sandwich and mashed potatoes

I was in the Exton area on business and remembered having a hand carved Roast Beef Sandwich at the Coventry Pub many many years ago. I check to see if it was still in business and headed the 8 miles up Route 100. The place had not changed a bit in the 40 years it had been. When I went in I did not see the Roast Beef behind the bar so I was getting cold feet. The bar tender gave me a menu and I chose the hand carved Open Face Roast Beed Sandwich with Mashed Potatoes. The bar tender pulled a piece of Roast Beef out of the steam table and began cutting in earnest. She took the hand carved slices into the back where I suppose they added the Mashed Potatoes, Bread and Gravy. I ordered a Mug of Birch Beer (from the keg). Oh my God. The Sandwich was the best I had ever eaten and it was the biggest portion. I wish I had taken pictures but the place is dingy and dark and I just did not think of it. The Mashed Potatoes were breathtakingly good as well. The Birch Beer came in a very frosted mug, This place needs some love. I hope someone sees this review because the place is worth the trip

    Shrimp Po Boy. Delicious

This place is a gem. The food is quite good here. Got a shrimp Poboy that didn't disappoint. It's got a very small town local vibe. Everyone is friendly. The roast beef and ham sandwich is fire. Reasonable prices. I'm glad I live close to this.

Looks like a perfect pint of Guiness while i wait for my hand carved, famous roast beef sandwich!

Home and solo for a night. What better place to go, then a close spot with great service, beer, and pub fare! Roast beef sandwiches are always great. An old school bar, that has a roast sitting under lamp and waiting for me! Do yourself a favor and stop in for a beer and hot roast beef sandwich.

Located a bit out of the way in the Flying Hills golf course, but worth the drive. Sports bar- Eagles vibe w/ a decent draft list. The kegs weren't working (seems to happen at every bar we attend these days) but still enjoyed a Mike & Merrill Philly Hazy IPA. Wings a good size, crisp, you know, the way wings used to be before everyone started charging an arm & a leg & serving broken pigeon wings. Classic "Buffalo" sauce & blue cheese dressing were good. FINALLY tried famous Caramel Burger (which I missed several times at the Hamburger festival). It did not disappoint. Good size, flavorful patty, & what these people do best- the bacon jam & caramelized bacon. The sweetness of the onions sings thru. Order it! Husband ordered seasonal special Frikadellen/Bratwurst Smash Burger. Skipping right to it- the cottage fries. (Gracie's/Louie's if you had this all the time we'd have no beef! LOL) INCREDIBLE! Crisp, thin, tender, amazing. If you follow me you know I am over the frozen fries served at every eatery in this country. Finally, amazingly pleasant, genuinely happy, server- Reese. She was on my side throughout this whole foodie journey, even the beer & burger mishap (initially burger served w/o cheese sauce). She's a keeper! We'll be back & will spread the word! Till then, stay on your toes! Thank you Louie's for a great meal.

Their space is awesome! It's huge, open-air optional, and a great place to post up with a couple of beers. Speaking of the beers, I'm always impressed with their offerings. Personally, the honey kolsch is my favorite. They dabble in a variety of beer styles, including the popular smoothie sours, but I'm a big fan of their lagers. Food is BYO unless there's a food truck. They also offer a hotdog combo: 2 hot dogs and bag of chips for $6; sold! The faces are friendly, the people are warm, the beer is cold, and vibes are...vibing. It took a minute to get a table and then waited a little for a server, but once she came by and got the drink and food order, everything went very quickly. I had the falafel wrap, which was excellent, and it came with a side Caesar salad, also excellent. Good prices, too; the 16-ounce Miller Lites were only four dollars each. I'd definitely stop by here again when I'm in Glenside for a show at the Keswick. It's probably a good idea to reserve a table on concert nights. There were only two people in my party and they got us in, but it was very busy, so something to keep in mind for next time.

The bar area was quite large and it appears in the warmer weather that one of the exterior walls retracts. Our server, Rachael, was wonderful: friendly, attentive, and genuinely pleasant. The drink menu included one of my favorite ciders, and the tap lines must be well-maintained because it tasted exactly as it should. The fries were simple but surprisingly good. Cons: Unfortunately, the food itself really missed the mark. The fried pickles were unlike any we've had--and we order them often. They were overloaded with greasy batter that tasted more like a donut than a savory appetizer. The wings were another disappointment. We love wings and usually finish an order easily, but these had an overwhelming vinegar flavor that made them tough to eat. We ended up leaving almost half the order. Overall: The standout of the entire visit was the service. If we could sit in Rachael's section again, we might consider giving the place a second chance--but strictly for the service, not the food.

For food, of course the chicken wings are their staple food and the quality is good. They have a standard of allowing you to choose multiple wing sauces for wing orders of 10 or more. This is great because it doesn't restrict you to one flavor for large orders of wings. The burgers, pasta, and salads are also very good. We found Brewer's on Yelp and and were very happy with our visit. Brewer's had a local feel to do it and a lively atmosphere for a Thursday night. The food menu has a large selection of different types of food so almost anyone can find something to eat. Great selection of beer with a lot of regional offerings. Also seem to run a special for different types of alcohol for most nights of the week ($6 large draft IPA beer on Thursday night). I ordered the brisket meatloaf sandwich that came with BBQ sauce and gouda cheese on top. The sandwich was very tasty and I especially enjoyed the pretzel roll it was served on. I liked that I was able to substitute a side of perogies instead of chips. The moon ranch grilled chicken sandwich was a little underwhelming and the moon sauce was the only positive to that sandwich. The service was good and our server checked back in with us multiple times during our visit. There's also a beer outlet with a large selection of craft beer attached to the restaurant so you can take local craft beer home with you. They call themselves a small place with the BIG selection!
