The closet doors came out absolutely beautiful. The craftsmanship, attention to detail, and overall finished look are just amazing. Three years later, I still highly recommend Handy Door Man.

Highly recommend for Door installations, really knows his stuff!…read more Luis and his team did an excellent job, and consistently went the extra mile. They expertly drilled and hung my new modern front door ("blank" mahogany wood, purchased through Home Depot and installed in a pre-existing frame), including a Schlage Encode smart lock. He had all the right equipment to shave it on the sides, and the door hangs perfectly open midway. They installed 2 spring hinges to auto-close, plus weatherstripping, and when there was a small issue with the weatherstripping, he came back two weeks later free of charge and swapped out for an alternative solution. As a bonus, when I asked him for guidance regarding an unrelated window situation and was prepared to pay him to help me solve it, he immediately diagnosed why the window was stuck: the wood windowsill had swollen and was pressing against the window frame, causing the window to not slide easily. He removed the window and helped me repair the situation: something others wanted to charge hundreds of dollars to diagnose and fix! (And he later said "no charge".) Furthermore, as he moved through my house, he happened to notice that some of my inside-door hinges had popped up: told me what causes that, and told me HOW to easily fix it. (PLUS, why I would be smart to tap them down with a hammer myself instead of ignoring it.) Just because he's a nice guy. The man has an eye for door issues, and he is very generous in spirit. He seems to like what he does and genuinely cares about the customer. The cost he quoted over the phone for installing the front door and weatherstripping is exactly what he charged. There were no surprises. And just as importantly, for me: he was able to fit me in on a tight timeline so that I could coordinate with my painter and other contractors to meet the ideal overall project schedule I needed. It's so hard to find someone who is both available on a flexible timeline, and actually good at what they do. 5 Stars PLUS.

Well Blayne surprised us even though he got great reviews because so did our architect. We had a few sliding screen doors that had become non functioning and Blayne came our within a day to check it out and then he gave a very thorough assessment. The problem with Two of the four screens had to do with the frame being uneven and he asked if it would be ok to come back in a few days after he had a chance to contemplate different solutions. When he did, he laid out the options and the pros and cons of them and he really did think through the situation as if our house was his house if you know what I mean. We trusted him to go ahead with the work and a few of the consequences did happen but he was very honest and even took photos to send them to us so that we could decide how we wanted to deal with it. It is important to mention that we discussed a budget upfront and he stuck to it and we feel it wa s a terrific value for the great service and expertise he provided, Blayne instill confidence and trust and he does great work at a price that is very reasonable. We ultimately chose Den Defenders because their security screen door offers a more seamless look…read morecompared to their competitors and they have features like a customizable locking system that others do not. It's a premium investment and the quality of the product and their customer care reflect that. In the beginning, communication felt a little disjointed however, after I raised it as a concern, I was met with understanding and prompt resolution. Shannon was particularly helpful in answering many questions I had when considering my options; the level of professionalism and willingness to find workable solutions regarding some unique considerations spoke volumes to me about the care they have for their customers. After putting down a deposit, I was immediately provided an installation date and 4-hour window. On that day, we received a text and email letting us know the name of the technician and that they were on their way. We ended up noticing a minor ding and paint issue on the door and our technician, Donnie, was incredibly understanding and immediately called in the issue and scheduled us another installation for two weeks later. Our second installer, Ross, was fantastic- he arrived early on a very hot day, had us inspect the new door first, and finished the job in a little over an hour. The final product looks amazing and blends perfectly with our home. Den Defenders proved that even if minor hitches occur, they handle them with ultimate professionalism. We will definitely be recommending them to anyone wanting security screens.
