This was a great spot to stop in! They have interesting things on their menu and although we stuck with the classic chicken strips and fries, I can't wait to go back to taste more of their options. My friend had one cocktail that was a bit too watery and too much cinnamon but my cocktail and the second one she ordered were both great! The staff was very nice and the service was quick! There were lots of seating options. I think primarily seats with moveable chairs, but also high top tables as well. There was also a couch lounging area. They were very accommodating of where we wanted to sit. They have lots of big TVs and we're able to turn on a game requested as a group came in. Seems like a fun place to get a large group together but also has a good date night vibe. There is street parking but also a parking lot around the back and across the street. There is only indoor seating, however it looked like they had walls they roll up when the weather is nice to have an open air vibe. I recommend this spot to try some fun unique cocktails and interesting foods! read more

I am surprised at the reviews for food. It's a pretty limited menu of mostly seafood. We ordered fish and chips. The fish had very thick breading and was over cooked, I was hesitant to try the clams and kimchi because it seemed like a weird mix. I should have opted out. It tasted like throwing up. But if you have an acquired taste for kimchi and clams you might like it! The smash burgers bacon jam wasn't great according to one of the ladies. The crab risotto was very dry, the Italian grinder as well. BUT the rosemary fry's were so good! Our table was not super 4 plus star impressed. It was very loud as well. Needed to find a place to watch the World Cup on the way up to Seattle. Cove fit the bill. Plenty of tv's so you can have your game on. The server offered to switch any of the tv's which was nice. Breakfast was solid, crab and pork belly Benedict's were tasty. Beer selection was decent, had quite a few local options. Kid friendly as well which helped us out on our road trip. read more

Had the Brunch steak and eggs. Steak came out already cut up and it was barely warm when I got it, since it was cut up it just got cold right away. I did not enjoy the flavor of the steak. It was cooked well, unsure if the issue was lack of seasoning or not a good piece of meat. The toast was a big slice of sourdough cooked on the grill (with oil?) until burnt all around the edges. Just not my type of breakfast toast. My wife got the chicken and waffles. She enjoyed it. There was a bacon jam that I was excited for until I tasted it. The volume of liquid smoke that must have been added was crazy. Once we got our food no one ever came back to our table to check on us or the food. There are things on that menu I am interested in but at this time, I will be going to other places with a hope of a better 1st impression. read more

My husband and I went on a Friday night. It was busy, but we were quickly seated and taken care of by our waitress. The atmosphere was clean and nice, our waitress was super friendly, and the food was great. I'm gluten free and was VERY surprised and stoked that I could have the clam chowder! It was great! Came in on a Thursday afternoon when the restaurant was pretty quiet. However, it appeared that there was only one waitress for the entire restaurant and bar. This caused a 45-60 minute wait for apps and our main meal. Our waitress never once asked us if we needed anything or gave us drink refills or plates for our apps. She also did not write down our orders and this lead to me receiving the wrong entree, this caused another 10 minutes of waiting and our party was unable to eat together. Also, our apps were brought out with our entrees which defeats the entire purpose of appetizers. We ordered the crab flatbread and it was soggy and undercooked. Our waitress did not apologize for the wait or the mistaken orders. She also seemed to ignore us when we flagged her down to order. The whole lunch experience took 2 hours and left us disappointed, especially with the service. read more

Went Sunday evening around 7pm. Good seating and easy street parking. Service was good though it took over 30 min to get some pasta and a grilled chicken sandwich. I don't think I would have minded the wait but my friend and I were both pretty hungry. They accommodated my needy food requests and I loved the chicken sandwich and side of Brussels sprouts. Good spot to watch games as well as they had quite a view TVs. Looks like they have live music on the calendar too. read more

First time eating there. Everything was delicious! We had Brussel sprouts for an appetizer. So good! My husband had the full order Wedge Salad with Chicken, and I had the full order House Salad with Salmon. Both were delicious. Cove is wonderful! Stopped by recently with a few friends for afternoon cocktails and snacks. It's a chill clean sporty but waterfront vibe. There was a good mix of folks in there because the space is welcoming for all. The venue itself was bright and open and plenty of seating. There are lots of TVs to watch sports but it was also nice to have background music for the folks who weren't watching the game. We had Aimee as our server and Jason as bartender. It was our first time at Cove and they were both so lovely! The cocktail and food menus were so extensive and the attention to detail in the drinks, food, and service is impressive. Aimee was so kind and attentive and explained all that went into the making of the restaurant and gave us excellent food and drink suggestions. Aimee was so effortlessly thoughtful, she was able to make first-timers feel like we had known her a long time and were just regulars. The truffle fries and Brussels came highly recommended and they did not disappoint, just straight delicious. Jason is really knowledgeable about cocktails and was able to suggest something we each would like. He made us several fancy but tasty cocktails - I had a French 75 and lavender lemonade and both were pretty and refreshing summer drinks! The staff were so lovely and whole vibe was chill and easygoing. The price point is also great, with reasonable cocktails and apps that are tasty and worth a visit. They also have live music and other events which is so fun! Cove is definitely a fun place to hang and the service alone is enough to make you want to go back but you'll want to stay for the laid back atmosphere and delicious menu! read more

My husband, baby, and I were on a long ride from Vancouver to Portland. What a relaxing stop we had at COVE! We arrived just before 8pm on a Sunday - plenty of available street parking and seating inside. The waitress was super welcoming. She saw our sleeping baby in the car seat and offered us a raised "sling" to hold the car seat up off the ground. The bathrooms are super clean - they also had an all gender single bathroom with a changing station! COVE creates this chill vibe ambience with the lighting and music that you just don't see with nighttime sports bars. The food had impressive tastes. I recommend the champagne vinaigrette salad with fruit and candied nuts. The truffle mushroom hamburger and steak sandwich were both cooked to perfection - full of flavor and juicy! The highlight was surprisingly the clam chowder. We've had a lot of chowders from San Francisco and Monterrey, CA - but man: This clam chowder has an incredibly unique savory taste - should've ordered the bowl instead of just the cup! Just fabulous and I don't even like Sports Bars. But the food was wonderful, the staff was super kind and the volume wasn't overwhelming. You could actually talk over the games and still keep an eye on the team you were there to watch. We had the Chicken Pesto sandwhich and the Pear & Gorgonzola salad - both had excellent flavors and temperatures. The wait person was helpful and friendly in a non-fake and non-ott way. Overall, pretty good! The restaurant is beautiful and modern. We went on a Friday night so service was slow, but fantastic. We had the burger and fried chicken sando. Food was good. Burger was a little salty for my taste, but my hubby liked it. Parking is downright terrible. Street parking only and not much at that. DO NOT...I repeat DO NOT park in the gravel lot behind the building. We thought it was parking for the restaraunt because of the clean and well maintained alley linking to the front of the restaurant. Our first and very tired parents night out turned into a $450 nightmare. At least we had some good eats, didn't have to do dishes, and had stellar service. read more

I highly recommend this place to anyone , the food and service was spectacular; our first time in and will certainly be back again . It was my moms 93 third birthday and she ordered the shrimp scampi and Mom being picky at 93 thought it was too hot due to a few pepper flakes , our waitress Angie didn't hesitate and apologized and had a new Scampi made for her and even offered her a free cup of chowder while we waited. The scampi for myself was great. We had salads and steamers and all was very good along with what my wife said was the best clam chowder she had for a long time it actually had clams and not just filled with potatoes. Our waitress Angie was on the spot ,friendly and helpful throughout the meal - she is a great asset to that team at the Cove , high five to her. With us being retired and on fixed incomes it's not always easy to go out and spend money for a meal , this one was worth it for us . I was only able to give a 15 % tip but if we were both working she deserved 30% and for that I apologize to her. Until your on a fixed income you probably can't relate to this.
