I had a fried chicken salad and subbed salad for tater tots. My friend had the breakfast burrito which was quite large and full of flavor. She took 1/2 home. No fountain drinks. The food's delicious. The egg's benedict had a mild spicy kick, potatoes were seasoned well and crunchy in the best way. Loved the water bottle immediately on the table to access immediate refills. Love the tilting umbrella's outside to help get just the right amount of sun or shade. Apparently bee's are a common issue. One kept trying to enjoy my meal - and the waitresses comment made it clear it's highly common. Server's were kind when they made a point to check on customers, but were not readily available. If you haven't tried this place out, you absolutely must! The vibe is very OLY and service was amazing! Very friendly and easy going. The decor was literally Frenchie's. Cute pictures of Frenchies throughout the restaurant. Plenty of seating outside, we chose inside because it was bit chilly but I'll definitely sit outside when the weather permits. Street parking. Went for brunch last Sunday. Service was spectacular, we had the best waitress. It was easy to find a table - I am from Portland where there's a guaranteed wait for Sunday brunch. The gentleman who sat us and took our order must have been having an off day, which is allowed. After our 5 year old accidentally spilled hot chocolate I thought he'd throw daggers with his eyes (side note, if a kid is ordering hot chocolate maybe don't fill to the absolute brim then add whipped cream-- one of those cute overfilled mug moments but even an adult with great dexterity it causes a slight spill just ever slightly touching the whipped cream). He did perk up once my daughter handed him the tip. Food was pretty decent; my favorite bite was the homestyle potatoes. Sampled my kids pancakes, fluffy delicious. I ordered the Biscuits and gravy (3 split Biscuits for the full order) and while I committed to this knowing it wasn't traditional (andouille sausage used) it overall just wasn't that great to me. It was incredibly savory herb wise, tasted like Thanksgiving if that makes sense. It wasn't for me. Would probably come back all that said. My mom swears it runs better when the owner is around. Cute little breakfast spot with French Bulldog photos all along the walls. Thankfully there was no wait at all to be seating. I was ecstatic to finally come across a diner that serves orange juice that actually has pulp in it. The service was friendly even though they were close to closing. I was sad that they no longer have the selection of gluten free donuts and the only option was the one donut with the Bloody Mary. The upside was the drink was great, the donut not so much. I enjoyed the large option of gluten free items and didn't have any cross contamination reactions (I am coeliac). I had the patty melt which was delicious. The rest of my Party had the biscuits and gravy which they said was delicious (a nice little spice due to the chorizo gravy) - it is not gluten free. The other guest had the burger which was very good and has a gluten free option too. Being GF it was nice to have so many delicious options. There are so many places to choose from in Olympia, we selected the locally owned Frenchies on 4th for today's local adventure. This is actually the second time we have eaten here in as many weeks. The food was so good we had to come back a second time to verify its deliciousness! It is a medium sized eatery with adornment of French bull pictures all over the place, stylistically might I add. There is ample seating for 1-4 person groups I am sure they could accommodate larger parties if need be. And the service is top notch. I am very disappointed they did not recognize us since we were just there a week ago, however our server with the red hair made up for it with over producing in the service and nicety department lol. All of the staff we encountered were very friendly and approachable which always makes the meal that much more enjoyable. I ordered the half serving of the SOB (pictured). Best biscuits and gravy I've had in the area. I am a southern east coaster by birth, and always enjoy coming across a southern dish especially a good one! Not too thick nor too thin, with andouilles sausage and a small Kungfu kick on the back end of consumption. The pancake was buttery and crispy. Finding a parking spot is the hardest thing to do, but when you do its a pleasant walk to this corner diner/cafe. It's bright purple with the distinct smell of coffee wafting from their open doors. I walked in and there was one very busy waitress who was doing all the things. She seated me as soon as she had everything in order for herself and it was nice location inside the establishment. There are outside seating too, but I was the only one so I guess inside was best. She immediately gave me a pitcher of ice cold water (which i love) and a menu. I ordered a breakfast bowl #3 with potatoes, red bell peppers, onions, eggs, hollandaise sauce , and spinach because they were out of Microgreens. I also ordered a pancake on the side. The food was delivered in good time. My only complaints are; that was the flattest pancake I've ever gotten. I think they must've over worked the batter. Also maybe dress the spinach with something before putting it on top of a hot dish? Chopped was ok, if it was wilted or steamed with some salt or oil would've put that dish to the top! I tried Frenchie's on 4th for a weekday breakfast. Pros: some good things on the menu, including multiple vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options. The breakfast bowl I got was excellent (I got the #3). Everyone I was with liked their food as well. The space has some cute photos up. In the middle: the vibe is hard to pin down and it looks a little unfinished inside. Mostly just kind of like it's still finding its footing. Cons: the coffee was some of the worst coffee I've had in a restaurant. It was burnt and not terribly hot. No spoons or sugar substitutes available. Several options on the menu sharpie'd out. These cons to me signal a place that is still not running quite smoothly. The final con is the price point. My bowl, coffee, and a 20% tip was just a smidge under $30. My bowl was on the smaller side for being $18. I'm fine paying that if other things are in order, but my expectation is that for $30 total, there shouldn't be these silly hiccups like no spoons (!) and no sugar substitutes (!!). read more

A few of us stopped in today on our way back North. Absolutely do not recommend the food, or service. Not only was the food bland the service was horrendous. We love supporting small local businesses however the owners attitude is snarky, disingenuous and the way she spoke to staff was disgusting. Should have read reviews prior to wasting money here. Don't waste your money. Her demeanor is off extremely off-putting. I don't see this place being in business much longer with that attitude/service. read more

We loved Frenchie's when it was a bakery, and we wanted to support their transition to a breakfast cafe even though we were sad that they stopped making their sourdough donuts. Husband got the breakfast smash burger meal and I did a half order of the biscuits and gravy. At the time we were seated and through most of our meal there were only about 4 other tables with customers, yet we heard the waitress complain in the back that she was "slammed". The food was good, prepped fresh, standard breakfast fare. The service was unfortunately not up to par. The waitress seemed like she didn't want to be there, was very short/abrupt with us, and almost seemed annoyed when we asked if the "greens" on the menu meant a salad or collard greens. I felt like it was a fair question since stuff like greens and grits can be found on other breakfast menus elsewhere? She barely cracked a smile the entire time we were there to the point that we felt uncomfortable...which is the total opposite vibe that used to be there before they re-opened. By the time we left there were more tables filling up with people so she told us she couldn't take our payment at the table and we would have to come up front since she was by herself, we didn't mind that at all. She did end up bringing the tap to pay machine over right before we were about to stand up and just dropped it off at our table. No thank you, no have a nice day, nothing. She just walked off. She never checked on us during the meal or asked if we needed anything even when there were only a few other tables with customers. To put it mildly, we felt very unwelcome, which made us sad since we thought it would be such a cute brunch spot to meet friends at. We wish them well on their new business endeavor, but we hope the service gets a tune-up before the summer season since I'm sure their patio will be slammed with people and their fur-babies. read more

The food was very well made, fresh, with fresh ingredients. We had burgers and sandwiches and they were all a hit. Highly recommend.

We ordered through DoorDash and got French toast, pancakes, and homestyle potatoes. The potatoes were incredibly tasty, while the French toast and pancakes were decent. Unfortunately, the French toast was missing the powdered sugar, and the food wasn't hot upon arrival (makes sense cuz if travel/pickup of driver). We'll definitely give this restaurant another try--but next time, we'll dine in. read more
