Ryan is a true professional. He did a quality job, was knowledgeable, honest and a pleasure to work with on our project. The project included setting up our wifi mesh network by tapping into existing cables. I highly recommend him. read more

I don't usually post reviews on Yelp, but I felt that I needed to make an exception this time. Covalt Communications did a fantastic job helping me mount not one, but two TVs! Due to Ryan's superb communication and knowledge, he made what seemed like a gargantuan task, natural and comfortable. I was worried before Ryan came over that there was going to be an aftermath of a mess, but he took the right precautions ahead of time to leave my home even better than it was before. To top it all off, Ryan helped me hang a giant piece of artwork that wasn't originally apart of the job. I would recommend Ryan and his team to anyone who is need of some heavy lifting, and the proper know-how. Keep up the great work Ryan, please don't change a thing! read more

We needed home security cameras and a friend referred us to Ryan. He installed cameras just a few days ago. The whole process was quick, and we were happy with the job. He took our needs into account and recommended the type of cameras that satisfied our needs and budget. The cameras were installed for maximum but uninstrusive view of everything around our property. Ryan was friendly and professional. We would definitely refer him to our friends and family. read more

The most important aspect of a home security installation for us is the trust and the potential long term relationship with the provider. We looked into a few national brand options and talked to a number of system providers, but none felt as genuine in their recommendation and care as Ryan's. Because of scheduling, Ryan and his crew had to come out to our home three times. Each time, the scope of work was clearly communicated. Even when the installation ran into challenges (and it will), the team would offer solutions and ask for approval before proceeding. Highly recommend Covalt Communications to anyone who values trust and professionalism. read more

I originally thought I needed a Cat 7 ethernet cable throughout the house to eliminate the high radio frequency coming from the Android TV set up. Ryan, the owner of Covalt Communications, came to the house and by process of elimination informed me that I had an electrical issue. Upon my request he connected me with an electrical company which could solve my problem. Thank you, Ryan, for your honesty and integrity in saving me the unnecessary expense and for pinpointing the real problem. read more

We recently hired Covalt Communications for a cabling job at our home. Ryan met my husband for a pre-job walk thru, and came up with the best solution. Ryan showed up as scheduled for the job, completed all the cable runs and made sure everything was operational before leaving. It's often difficult to find knowledgeable as well as dependable contractors to work in your home. Ryan's professionalism and attention to detail was awesome. We appreciate your work ethic Ryan and look forward to working with you again. Thank you again for your hard work! read more

This review is for great response and service, not an actual installation, because it turned out my project was going to require a lot more than just running wire and installing a system, basically some construction work that Ryan didn't feel he was qualified to do. But I still wanted to leave a review to say that Ryan responded to my message quickly, made a special trip across the Bay Bridge on a weekend day to see what I needed, and then gave me some good advice about that even though it didn't involve hiring him. I wouldn't hesitate to give him a call if you need a security or network system put in. read more

Ryan and Marcy were both friendly and very quick to respond. He was professional and did an excellent job hanging our TV. He was also kind enough to come back the next day to give us an extra cable so we didn't have to go out and buy one. I would definitely recommend Covalt! read more

Excellent service! Ryan did a great job from the moment he came to my place to mount 3 TVs (Full motion). He was cautious with my floor, examined the workspace and explained all the process prior to start. He completed the job quickly and then gave me a demonstration on how to move the mount. Totally recommend him. read more

I Highly recommend Ryan. I wanted to have a security camera system installed and made few phone calls. I ended up by chosing Ryan for the job. Ryan recommended a security system which I purchased. He came right on time installed all security cameras. He did such a good job..Very pleasant, very courteous right on time and very knowledgeable. I even called him back to install a Ring A Door Bell which he also installed again very professionally. Would I recommend him again? Yes absolutely with no hesitation. Why? Because of his courteousness, his professionalism and his EXCELLENT WORK. read more

Ryan was great. I did my own research and purchased some security cameras myself before trying to find an installer, and he did a fantastic job getting the old system removed and the new one setup. He was also super responsive, and very considerate about things like camera placement and cable management. I'd definitely recommend him. read more

Highly recommend, would give six stars if we could! Ryan installed our home security cameras system after our house was vandalized. He came out promptly (and on very short notice) after we called, having been referred to him by a friend. He advised us as to which system to purchase and where, gave us a reasonable quote for installation of same (a more involved process than we realized). We accepted his quote, and he got started that same rainy weekend. He worked tirelessly to get everything up and working quickly, then worked with our schedules to set up a time to explain to us how to work the system. Our family is grateful, and we highly recommend his services! read more

Ryan installed a 4-camera security system for our home. He came fully prepared with equipment and a helper to run the lines. Ryan is very professional and friendly, responsive to time lines, our questions and any help we might need. Our system is brand new, so we are beginners at the functions, but Ryan's tutorial was extremely understandable. We know if we have any problems he will respond quickly. A family member had Ryan install a similar system and recommended Ryan to us. We recommend Ryan with total confidence. read more

Ryan provided a nice security system to my house in pittsburg. He "upgraded" my cameras to a very nice looking NVMS7000 set up. Picture was clear up close, installation was done nicely and neat. Had one minor hiccup where he had a powercord stretched across where my water heater is. He came by and corrected that. I appreciated that. Unfortunately recently I needed to change isp providers and now can not hook back up to my nice cameras and am having a difficult time doing so. But the non-functional cameras do look nice out there...only I am not in a position to hire Ryan back over to reset my system for the current wifi. Suggestions for Ryan for five stars: -Go through in detail while in-person how to use the new product. -Advise if the isp is changed or wifi is changed the procedure to get back online. I do understand it is the end users responsibility to claim some responsibility on taking notes, and being proactive on knowing more of about the product. Also I do understand time is money, and money for your time is to be expected. However, in my line business if I have a client requiring information I make very concise instructions on simple problems over the phone. If they do NOT understand, THEN I will offer my services at the going rate to solve them in person. read more

As a student-housing, property management company, resident security is our top priority. After opening our largest property this year, we had no idea just how impactful Covalt Communications would be in the first few months of operations. Not only did Ryan do an outstanding job with the installation of cameras at our property from start to finish, but he has been incredibly reliable after the job was 'done'. His installation, to date, has helped us piece together timelines for theft. Image quality has allowed us to identify stolen packages, trespassers, security breaches, and facilitate an arrest. All cameras were placed at his recommendation. Our community managers love the security systems and residents feel much safer. We have already began discussing future projects with Ryan; we fully recommend him for any of your security system needs! read more

I was looking for a 4K security camera system for our small business and reached out to a few contractors. Covalt was the most responsive one and Ryan came shortly after to discuss some options. Shortly after we receive a quote that we went over and it seemed to be very fair for what we got. I accepted the quote And Ryan was able to come out when his schedule was open and he finished the work in 2 days. The system works really well and the remote viewing is very useful by mobile device. They really take care to treat the place like their own and clean up after themselves. Their attention to detail and suggestions really show they really take pride in their work. Definitely give them a ring read more

I had some security cameras I needed mounted and got quotes from a lot of places. Ryan was by far the most knowledgable, straightforward, and friendly. He walked through the locations with me, answered every question I had, and added suggestions of his own. The pricing was competitive, and after the work was done, it looked even better than I had hoped. I'm very happy and definitely plan to ask Ryan for help with my future projects! read more

I sent out a mass request to a bunch of security camera companies on Yelp. Ryan was the 1st who responded. He was very responsive and professional thru the whole process. He also quoted me with a very reasonable price. I started communicating w him on a Thursday. He came two the next day to walk thru the house to see where to best put the cameras and DVR. Gave me a quote later that evening. He installed the cameras the next Thursday. It took a week from start to finish. Everything went smoothly. Ryan followed up with me immediately when I had a tiny issue/question and he made sure everything was good to go b4 he shook my hand and said "it was a pleasure doing business with you." Truthfully, the pleasure is all mine. I am so glad I went w Ryan. He also told me not to hesitate to contact for any future issues Cos he really want the customer to be happy. read more

Ryan is great to work with. I had a custom wiring job that I needed. He responded quickly and provided a reasonable quote. We communicated by phone and text to arrange a meeting. He is very personable, reliable, trust worthy and experienced in what he does. At the end of the day he was able to come by and perform all the services within the proposal and effectively communicated with me during the process. As certain challenges presented themselves with the job, he reviewed alternative ideas with me in order to achieve the end goal. If I had additional work in this area, I'd hire Ryan again. read more

After researching for a company to install security cameras, I came across Covalt Communications. An appointment was scheduled with Ryan to provide an estimate to install cameras on a Triplex building. Ryan walked me through his suggestions where the cameras should be mounted and type of cameras to be used. Promptly an estimate was provided. The work was very professionally completed and in a timely manner. He assisted me in learning how the system works. Overall it was a pleasant experience and I would recommend this company to those who are looking for this type of service. read more

I recently hired Covalt Communications to purchase and install security cameras. Ryan Covalt met with me, walked my property, and discussed my needs. Amazing customer personalized service, fast attention and understanding of clients needs. 5 stars totally!!!

Ryan recently installed our camera system and he was fabulous. He is really reliable and responsive. He was extremely thoughtful and considerate during the initial consultation and really took our preferences to heart and incorporated them in the quote. He spent extra time going through what was needed with my husband who wasn't home for the initial meeting. When he came to put up the cameras, he was efficient, tidy and extremely conscientious. Additionally, Ryan spent time going through the viewing systems with us and has been really responsive whenever we've had followup questions. We are thrilled with the result and can't recommend Ryan highly enough. read more

We hired Covalt Communications to do some work on our security system at our hotel. All encounters with Ryan have been pleasant, professional and you can tell he is very knowledgeable. He purchased all necessary equipment, installed and gave a thorough explanation of what he did and how to operate it. He was available via email, phone and text. We had a strict deadline to complete the necessary repairs and he was more than willing to work with us to get it done(he came to install late evening to meet deadline) which we so appreciate! I had to have communication cables relocated for phone, TV and computer due to construction. I contacted Ryan of Covalt Communications. He assessed the work we wanted done and gave us a very fair bid. Moving the cables was not an issue and he developed a plan quickly. While we were having Ryan move the cables, we also had him install a wireless security camera system. In both cases Ryan was extremely proficient and completed the work on time and in budget. Ryan was always on time, communicated effectively and was always very professional. I would highly recommend Ryan for any work of this nature. I will be using Ryan for more work in the future. read more
