No pressure to buy any but if the sandwich had not been so big I would have. All were delicious. Also ordered a slice of their carrots cake and lemonchello cake. Both were some of the best I have eaten anywhere. The cream cheese icing on the carrot cake was perfect and my wife loved the lemonchello cake. Both very moist and truly favorable. Will definitely be back and next time I hope they have their split pea soup on the menu. It was the best of the fout.

We also got a pound and a half of pulled BBQ pork...very good--sweet & smoky, as well as some cilantro lime pasta salad. Everything was perfect! The counter personnel were friendly, helpful and funny. The counter was clean, neat and easy to shop, even the dried spices. 100% will return in the near future. This place is well worth the hop, skip and a jump into SE Wisconsin from Illinois. Plus the gas was waaaay cheaper there at the adjoining BP. Go and be a cheesehead for the day!

Can't believe I never reviewed this place…read more.. We've been coming here for years and love all of the Tenuta's branded items like their giardinera, frozen pastas and jarred sauces. Always love coming in the summer to get an Italian from the grill out front. They have great bogo deals with wine in the back and have a wide array of everything (alcohol, beer, salami, cheese, pasta, etc). The staff have always been helpful if you need anything, especially at the deli. Recommend coming during the week to avoid a crowd. The place has a great vibe and smells like an Italian deli. Inside is incredibly cozy and welcoming, but sitting outside right by the harbor on a nice day was perfect. We stopped by Mad Rooster Cafe for brunch, and the only mad thing is that it's not closer to home!…read more The decor reminds me of a country kitchen, which I love. It makes you feel like you're sitting down at Grandma's table for what you know is about to be an incredible meal. We ordered a variety of items, including the Steak Ranchera, Mad Reds potatoes, Lemon Blueberry Ricotta Pancakes, and even a Kids Full Breakfast from the kids' menu. Grandma's table did not disappoint. From the generous portion sizes to the awesome potatoes (which are house-made fries) and the fluffy pancakes, each item was bursting with flavor in all the right ways. If you're looking for a great brunch spot, Mad Rooster will not disappoint. But that's just my palate. Go try it for yourself and let me know what you think!
