The Mac n cheese was really good ...reminiscent of old school kfc but more flavorful. The tenders are huge, and have a tiny bit of heat in the batter. The mild spice rub is sweet and smokey with cumin. Pickles are still a little crunchy and not overly sour - a good complement to the chicken. This was our first time trying Dave's hot chicken. To me they were on the pricier side but the tenders are huge! For a our family of 4 we ordered the hotbox tender box for $40 bucks and added a large fry for another $10 bucks. The staff was super nice to explain the heat levels and even give our kids stickers for fun. The sit down part of the restaurant looks so cool, gives me trendy vibes. At the end we ordered shakes. Dave's Chicken could possibly be the most delicious chicken I have ever eaten! Whether you like spicy or mild, the chicken is cooked to order, and it comes out fresh and hot. I had the two piece tender basket (with fries) and a medium soda ... total came to $12.65, and it was well worth it! I highly recommend dousing your chicken (and fries) with Dave sauce. I was able to pick up my food quickly. I ordered a slider, fries, and chicken tenders. I ordered mild. The food was delicious. The chicken tenders were amazing. I paid about $15 for a meal. That did not include a drink or the discount after using my coupon. I was happy with my meal, I thought the price was a tad bit high. This restaurant is very similar to a Raising Canes, but with more variety. I'd go back again, most likely with another coupon. I do recommend this business if you're a chicken lover. read more

Grand opening of Dave's hot chicken for dinner!! (Even though they seemed to have opened yesterday, maybe a soft opening?) The line was OUT THE DOOR but it was moving pretty quick. Everyone there was so friendly, they passed out menus to people in line & little gifts like a toy chicken! Haha. Once we got up to the front ordering was super easy & the food came out QUICK! All the food is really good, I actually LOVE the daves sauce. It's not spicy to me at all however neither the medium or hot so I will try extra hot next time!! Mac n cheese isn't the best but it's not the worst either I'd definitely get it again, cheese fries were also pretty good. The chicken pieces are HUGE! What I'm not a fan of, is the chicken and pricing. The numbered combos featured on the menu board do not include a drink. Only a piece of chicken and fries. It's surprising, because I've never seen anyone eating a meal out without a drink. Especially spicy foods- like hot chicken. This means the price for one peice of chicken, fries, and drink for one individual is $15. Now my second concern. The chicken is well prepared, made to order fresh, but nothing to write home about. I've tried various spice levels and I have yet to find one that tastes like anything(flavor), or is spicy. The dry rubs are thick on the meat and dry out your mouth and lips without leaving any flavor profile or taste experience. It's disappointing, because they have everything else going for them. The staff was learning and that is ok they was doing a fantastic job of managing. we went there because it is halal and i took a picture of the cert as well and will go back there often even though i live in illinois. This is as close to true Nashville hot chicken that Wisconsin is going to get and it doesn't disappoint. It's delicious and large portions. I will say whatever you normally get for heat level go up one more as I have tried Very Hot and Reaper and while the Reaper brings heat it is not overbearing and is very tasty. read more
