I love going here for Mediterranean food. A little pricey but really good portions. Service is always fast.

For anyone traveling from Milwaukee to Chicago make this a stop-- you will NOT regret it! This food establishment checked every box for me: * Customer service * Cleanliness * Decor * Amazing food (great flavors included) The time it took to receive my food was satisfactory, and the portion sizes justified the cost. From what I ordered, I had more than enough to take home, enjoy the next morning, and even have for lunch as well. I'm not a hummus specialist, but in my opinion, this was the best hummus I've ever tasted in my life. The meats were tender, and did I mention the flavors were amazing? My waitress, whose name escapes me (if you see this i apologize charge it to my mind and not my heart lol) was polite and well-informed about the menu, offering detailed explanations of items I wasn't familiar with. The juice was fresh! I tried the carrot, orange, and apple juice, and I can confidently say it tasted freshly squeezed. The samosas were crispy with a nice flavor as well. I actually might be going back again this week--for a sequel!

Phenomenal food, service, and owner is delightfully kind and attentive. The food is outstanding. I recommend the mint lemonade and the cold appetizer platter. The hummus and baba ganouj are very tasty. The portions are generous and the meals are reasonably priced. We will be back!

Mixed kebab grill and salad, kenafa and baklava :)

Kenafa is an amazing desert of goat cheese, wheat flour and almond flour topped with honey and pistachios, a new experience for us. We are so happy we found the Grill House Kenosha for this experience. Grill House is a Mediterranean grill with excellent hummus and tahini, falafel and kebabs as you would expect, but this sweet cheese desert is unique and you can only get it here, fresh made to order and served warm. Shukran, Grill House! :)

This place is incredible! The owner and staff are so sweet. We've been twice in a matter of weeks and crave to go back! I didn't know hummus could be more than just "hummus" but oh my heavens the best hummus I've ever had!

This is how good the food is!

Absolutely recommended with 5 stars!…read more I heard about this restaurant from TikTok as it is rated the #1 restaurant in Lake County, and now I see why! We stopped in for some lunch. We were greeted by owner Marlene, who is absolutely wonderful. We placed our order and got some fresh lemon water. I ordered the lunch special Chicken and Gyro plate, and he ordered the Lamb Kabob Plate. While we waited for the food, we chatted with Marlene, and we were given some baklava (love that stuff). My goodness, the aroma coming from my plate was so good. The meats were cooked to perfection, and the vegetables were just right. He told Marlene that was not his first choice for food, but this meal changed his mind. The pitas and sauces were delicious as well. The presentation is nice, and portion sizes are large. I brought some home. I feel so bad because I forgot to tip, which is crazy for us. But, this just means we have to return soon and give a large tip. Don't skip trying this place. You won't be disappointed! Closed on Sunday, so plan accordingly.

The owner helped us choose since we had never been there before. She was so friendly and welcoming. I'd go back just to sit and talk to her, felt like family. And let's be honest... we're absolutely not the type to turn down an early gyro opportunity. The team at Shawarma King was already in great spirits. They were warm, welcoming, and genuinely funny--the kind of witty banter that immediately puts you in a good mood. The young woman working the counter was quick on her feet and kept the interaction light and playful, which totally made me smile. And the food? So good. The gyro was loaded up, fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you want when you're wandering a farmers market. Generous portions, great seasoning, everything hot and delicious--it hit the spot in every way. If you're at the Lake Oswego Farmers Market, this stand is an easy "don't miss." We'll absolutely be back for another round.

Once we decided on what we would like to order, we headed to the kiosk at the front and ordered, then waited for our food to arrive at the table. Our server was very sweet and helped answer any questions we had about the paper menu vs the online menu. The restaurant was decorated nicely and simple. There were sittings by the door, throughout the walk way and booths towards the end of the restaurant. They had the whole menu displayed behind the counter and a few of the desserts as well. We ordered the appetizer platter; which allowed us to choose three apps two try. My friend and I chose the falafel, grape leaves, and baba ghonush (which is served with 8 triangle pieces of pita bread). I got the kofte special wrap and my friend got the beef kebab wrap. Everything we got was amazing! The wrap was also nicely toasted on the outside, which gave it such an amazing texture. The combination of the char-grilled kofta with the vegetables inside was so good! Just thinking of it makes me want to go and grab another one. It was not dry and was honestly pretty filling. Very excited to go back and try other item!

The Mexican butcher had an attitude from the moment I said hello -- short answers, no eye contact, just slapping meat on the scale like I was bothering him. When I got to the register, the total didn't match the prices on the tags. I politely pointed it out, thinking it was probably just a mistake. Instead of checking or apologizing, he got defensive immediately, insisting the price was correct even though the tag clearly said otherwise. When I pushed back and asked him to double check, he raised his voice, started talking over me, and acted like I was accusing him of something criminal instead of just asking a simple question. Other customers in line were visibly uncomfortable. I ended up paying just to get out of there, but I've lost this shop as a customer for good. I'd genuinely warn anyone nearby to be careful with this place -- between the attitude and the pricing discrepancy, it's not worth the hassle. No matter how good the meat is, that kind of treatment and lack of honesty isn't something I'm willing to put up with again.

4.5/5 stars Let me start by saying I have personal biases…read moreI'm battling here. I have newly moved to the Milwaukee area from Metro Detroit (home to the largest Arab population outside of the Middle East) and therefore not only did I grow up with great food our restaurant options have always been elite. If I seem nitpicky I'm sorry but let's get to it! I got the mixed grill plate, Turkish salad, and a lentil soup. Highlights: the shish tawook was perfect, juicy, not over cooked, the kafta loaded with flavors, the hummus was solid, I loved the bed of rice it was on, and the soup delicious... "so T, what happened to the half star?" This is where I might be overly critical... the chopped veggie salad was in dire need of salt, or consider dressing it with the jalapeño mix that was on the hummus. The Turkish salad put me in quite a conundrum... was it delicious? Oh hell ya, was it spicy? Yes (inject it my veins), so what's the issue? My issue here was just that it wasn't a salad. It was an excellent salsa, but I didn't have chips to eat it with and this isn't a "salad" you can eat by itself. If they had fried the Arabic bread and seasoned it like the fattoush chips and gave me a bag of it with the Turkish salad that might be the greatest combo known to Milwaukee. Finally, the only true criticism of this place, the beef kabobs... flavor was amazing, it was tender too but it was severely overcooked. I don't blame the restaurant because as an Lebanese person I grew up with way too many over cooked bbqs and aunts and uncles thinking red meat was blood despite eating kibbee nayee (beef tartar-Lebanese style) but if that had two minutes less on the grill it might have the holy grail of mixed grill plates. All of this to say I was very impressed, Milwaukee has some good spots and I wasn't sure what to expect when I moved here but this place does it for me, will probably make it a rotational spot
