The Buzz Cafe has quickly become one of my favorite spots whenever I'm in town for my internship! It's the perfect place to catch up with friends or do homework, but also a great place to stop by for a sweet treat! I recently tried the honey pistachio latte with oat milk and it was super good! They always have fun seasonal drink options and they also have plenty of sweet treats (including vegan choices!). They also have a breakfast and lunch menu as well! Long mostly dark coffee shop that will serve in ceramic if you ask. Good cappuccino, served up hot, creamy, and promptly. Lots of different seating options, at the far ends of this long deep are bright sunny tables that might be good for reading. The middle is a bit like a narrow tall cavern passage, with bar seating (still order from the cashier station) for being by yourself or with one other, and there are also a few tables in the dim good for studying or work. The Buzz Cafe has a really chill vibe and super helpful & friendly staff. The cafe is in an older building with exposed brick walls, solid wood floors, and a vintage tin tile ceiling. There's a decent amount of seating, but you can also get orders to go. There's lots of nearby street parking and the cafe is in easy walking distance to Kenosha's downtown shopping district. We really enjoyed our breakfast. A Bacon & Egg Bagel might sound pedestrian, but each ingredient was high quality. In other words, this isn't a boring breakfast sandwich at all. My fiancée ordered and loved the Cali Baja Wrap, which was lightly grilled and had a lovely crunch. We didn't try any of the marvelous looking baked goods because we were heading right to a nearby bookstore. Next time! I am disappointed I did not have the experience I expected here one morning. The addition of espresso did not work as suggested at the time of purchase in the seasonal Apple Cider drink. In my opinion the drink was unpleasant as it became too bitter. I absolutely love coffee and this was the first time I did not finish a drink. I am sure they would have been made another drink but I was skeptical to request it as the food I ordered came out burnt too. I would never serve a customer a burnt meal. What made it worse was the first bite of burnt bagel set the tone for my breakfast and the start of my day. I waited a while for the bagel but when requested to make it again I received it quickly. Not sure why it took a while for it to come out burnt initially when it came out right the second time and quicker. I personally would not recommend this cafe to others. read more

I will say I enjoy this coffee shop as a great place to get some work done. There is plenty of seating and different seating types as well. The barista was great and quick as I ordered a smoothie followed by some coffee. The protein banana smoothie was great as it gave me some much needed energy. I also think it is fairly priced. I will also say that I enjoyed their French toast latte as a specialty coffee and both were prepared quickly and with care. I highly recommend this place as a spot to check out if ever in Kenosha. This is probably my fourth visit to The Buzz Cafe, so clearly I enjoy it. I'm from out of state and learned about this spot from family and I'm glad I did. The last two visits, I've gotten some bakery items along with some mid-day caffeine recharge. The s'mores tart was my absolute FAVORITE. It had the perfect amount of graham cracker crust, chocolate, and tall amount of marshmallow. Complete YUMMMMM-OOOOO!!! I felt like I was around a camp fire and selfishly sad I had to share this s'mores tart (shhh!). Truthfully, probably one of the best s'mores related items 've ever had in my life. If there were more available to buy, I would have bought them. I was in town on Sunday and stopped in to get one and had no luck-- I was SO sad. The key lime pie bar was tasty as well. Graham cracker crust was thick and key lime was nice and tart. The cookies were not my favorite. Tasted overdone. The different coffee I've ordered various times has been good. I feel like service is fine. Nothing wrong, but nothing more than the regular. The Buzz is right in downtown Kenosha in a nice brick building. There are tables and bar area to sit at. Coffee is great - the bagel sandwich would be a lot better without the avocado aioli that is way too potent and strong. Also to note, they smash it in a panini press so the bagel is crusty and hard. I'd prefer a softer bagel. Parking is ok, but limited to the street and you may need to walk a couple blocks. Cafe is a little dark but furnished well, has table games etc which is a nice touch. When the barista knows what a cortado is, it's going to be good. Served in a short glass, it's half espresso and half steamed (not foamed) milk. All the caffeine of a latte and a ton less calories and such. It's my favorite. This morning's cortado was that. A great coffee and served properly, I enjoyed it as "first coffee" and followed up with a drip coffee later. Yes, I was here at The Buzz for about three hours as my morning office. The ambiance was alright and the staff was friendly, but I will not be returning here. For our drinks we ordered a hot americano and almond cookie latte. They both lacked a good coffee flavor and flavor in general, and the latte had so much cold whipped cream it cooled down the whole drink. We also ordered food- the stroganoff stacker and a side of mushroom leek soup. Again the items lacked flavor, the sandwich meat tasted of cat pate food while the soup was overly salty. These items tasted like they were heated right from frozen. I wish I had something more positive to say, but overall experience and quality was lacking. read more

Always my go-to spot for working remotely when I visit family, this place is pretty quiet and has great service and plenty of seating. The drinks are just okay. I've never been blown away by their coffee. But it also isn't bad, either. It's just perfectly acceptable. If they made amazing lattes this would be a 5* spot, without question, because everything else is really great. For starters The Buzz has really great decor. There are plenty of places to sit, but it also manages to feel really open and welcoming. The staff here are super friendly and work really quick, so even if there's a line, you're never waiting for long. Outlets can be a little scarce on the high tops, but most spots you can find somewhere to charge your stuff if you need it. Prices are fair, and the menu is actually pretty big for a place like this. Plenty of food, pastries, coffee, tea, protein shakes, etc. They also have a bar, and coolers with a variety of drinks, and plenty of wine. They really do have it all! I'll definitely be back often. Even though I would not say the coffee is 5 stars, everything else is, so I'm going to round up here. Also there just aren't a ton of great alternatives in the area, so even if the coffee here isn't amazing... I don't really know where else to go for anything better. read more

Based on the review, decided to try the Cafe. Ordered 2 sandwiches to go. Took 45 minutes to fill the order. Not much seating and most taken up with people on computers or friends in no hurry to leave so stood the whole time. Sandwiches were ok but not worth the time or money. Since I had plenty of time to kill, I noticed the baristas were quite proficient in filling the drink orders which seemed to make up most of their business. Great spot! My husband and I came here twice during our trip to Kenosha. The first time we got the spicy boi and Baja cali wrap (I think it was called) both were so good, which made us come back the second time! Our last stop we got avo-thing bagel (this is perfect if you want a healthier breakfast) and the bronco wrap, these were so good also. Out of everything my favorite was the Baja Cali wrap, it was perfect for a late breakfast. Their coffee is good also. Next time we'll come to try the wine! read more

Went here for brunch on a Sunday after Frank's Diner was packed. It was definitely a good audible, however, I was disappointed to see that they stop serving the breakfast menu at 11:00am. This makes sense to me during the week, but on weekends I would have thought they would serve it longer. We still found some fun options on the lunch menu however. I ordered the roasted mushroom and cauliflower wrap and my friend ordered the lucky goat. We were both quite impressed with our food. The wrap was packed with mushrooms and cauliflower and the cauliflower wasn't super mushy. I would definitely order it again. The lucky goat sandwich was pretty good. The cucumber tomato salad was the highlight of it. The bread did get a little soggy, so it may have been better as a wrap. read more

We ordered the basic panini and the salmon wrap, and the honey cake iced latte. The basic panini was ok but was pretty 'basic'. It was just boring and needed a little something more. there's nothing but positive things to say. i came here on a date with my fiancée while checking out the ice sculptures downtown and we don't regret it. we're both vegetarian and had a hard time finding somewhere with good food that we could eat, but both vegetarian lunch sandwiches at the buzz were delicious. they were out of cauliflower so our harvest sandwich didn't have any, but it didn't even taste like it was missing anything. and the vegan hoagie was so refreshing. we got specialty lattes, the peppermint sage and the hot honey and both were amazing. it wasn't overly sugary like a certain large chain coffee place and we could actually taste the flavors of the coffee. we got both the snowball and the raspberry donut cheesecake for pastries and as a huge fan of cheesecake, the raspberry donut cheesecake is actually as good, if not better, than any cheesecake factory cheesecake i've ever had. the cashier was friendly and i didn't feel rushed or pressured making any decisions. the store is also very clean and cozy, and i'm charging my phone as i write this so there are places to charge your phone! genuinely, i could go on and on about how lovely the buzz is. absolutely worth coming to if you're downtown. it is a little pricey but not the end of the world, especially if you're not looking to go all out like we did. and if i'm being totally honest, i'd still rather spend 60 dollars here again than 30-40 at the aforementioned large chain coffee place. the quality of the food, drinks, and desserts are worth it. we feel full and content and don't feel like we wasted our money at all. read more

A nice spot for a quick meal. They have a really large and varied selection of wine and beer, lots of coffee options, and sodas as well. The atmosphere is simultaneously family and instagram friendly. The lunch menu is pretty small; the breakfast menu overall was more appealing but we arrived too late to partake. Wraps and sandwiches overall were good: the mashed chickpea needed more seasoning, though (maybe pickle those red onions?). The menu said that the sandwiches came with caprese pasta salad, but we ended up with pesto pasta - and it was kind of dry. Overall, I'd put this on the pricey end for what you actually get at lunch but would be willing to try it again at breakfast. read more

They had a nice spot that I felt good and comfortable about going to, that has changed. I was just in there and I can say that I won't be going back anytime soon. The place is gross. The case with baked goods has a bunch of fruit flies in it. We sat a table up against the wall. The wall itself has got huge chunks missing out of it that no one cares to fix, they can't even be bothered to clean it as there are coffee spills all over the wall. The tables are super gross! The cracks in the table have years of debris built up in them! GROSS! How has nobody seen and cleaned it? Bits of food on the floor, who knows how long it's been there. $30 for two wraps in a gross, dirty environment? No thanks! Over priced for a server yourself type place that can't even clean. I Hope something changes, but I doubt it. I recommend that you avoid this place until they show that they care about the environment their customers are dining in. read more
