Going two stars simply, because I didn't rate it when it WAS an ok spot. At one time the buzz was ahead of the movement in downtown Kenosha. They had a nice spot that I felt good and comfortable about going to, that has changed. I was just in there and I can say that I won't be going back anytime soon. The place is gross. The case with baked goods has a bunch of fruit flies in it. We sat a table up against the wall. The wall itself has got huge chunks missing out of it that no one cares to fix, they can't even be bothered to clean it as there are coffee spills all over the wall. The tables are super gross! The cracks in the table have years of debris built up in them! GROSS! How has nobody seen and cleaned it? Bits of food on the floor, who knows how long it's been there. $30 for two wraps in a gross, dirty environment? No thanks! Over priced for a server yourself type place that can't even clean. I Hope something changes, but I doubt it. I recommend that you avoid this place until they show that they care about the environment their customers are dining in. read more

Looks like our next regular hang. Good atmosphere and food. Coffee is great and they have a bar attached to it. One-stop-shop. Rustic decor adds to the coolness of the place. read more

I went to this cafe as it was highly recommended by the staff at The Nifty Thrifty Shop. I was not disappointed! It is fantastic! Good atmosphere, clean, and my Smoked Salmon Wrap was excellent! I sat at the bar and the staff was very welcoming and friendly and service was very good. I plan to go back! read more

I always enjoy myself at Buzz Café. Whether I stop for a latte, a quick lunch or a nice glass of wine, it is always top notch! What a fun concept. This place covers all aspects. The room feels vintage and comfortable - which is the vibe they are going for I'm sure. The room offers more than you expect the farther back you walk. Service is always fantastic. The barista is always making suggestions when I'm not sure what I want to drink. The girl at the counter provided details on the sandwiches perfectly. Loved my Cubano! Parking is so easy in downtown Kenosha. read more

Great place to congregate on Sunday mornings...shit I probably shouldn't have said that. I won't be able to get a table. Staff is friendly and helpful and the food is fantastic! I'm there almost every Sunday for a double espresso! Just stay away from Ron's Place! read more

I was here for breakfast and it was fast and delicious. I got a Matcha tea and they made it iced for me. Delicious! I also got the Vegan Siesta Wrap. Omg so good. The Tofu tasted like scrambled eggs and it had such great flavor. This will replace Starbucks. read more

Terrible customer service. Not once did anyone behind the counter bother to acknowledge my presence. Why? Apparently having personal conversations trumps my business. Never will I come back, and will certainly not recommend this place whenever I can. read more

The food is extremely overpriced for what you get. it is quite mediocre in taste and appearance. One sandwich and one very small salad is what e had, can guarantee it will be our last. Subway has better sandwiches. read more

Their drink and sandwich of the week keep me coming back each week. Grateful for healthy and tasty gf choices.

Husband goes here daily for his fix of Jasmine blue tea that he cannot find anywhere else. He often treats me with some of their completely delicious goodies. Very laid back atmosphere, good food and great treats. Great place to hang out in the summer when they have their outdoor seating too. Sandwiches are yummy for lunch! read more

We stopped here on a Saturday night for a quick drink and to check it out. Love the ambiance! It is a casual and comfortable yet trendy setting with a great selection of beer and wine. The reason for the 4 stars.... while sitting at the bar watching one of the employees make a cheese platter, we witnessed him drop cheese on the ground, pick it up, cut the edges off and then continued to plate the cheese. We were both somewhat disgusted by that and not so sure seeing that makes us want to eat there. I understand that cheese is expensive, however, this is not something you want your patrons to witness. I suggest you train your staff on proper food handling/safety. Regardless, I know S*#! happens and we like this place! So we will be back! read more

This is one of my favorite coffee shops in Wisconsin. The staff is friendly no matter what your here for. They offer bar service, breakfast, lunch, and pastries along with their standard coffee bar. They make wonderful lattes (matcha latte is my favorite), and always have special drinks of the week and month. They also work with tons of craft breweries to offer a variety of different beers to drink on site or to take home. The food is phenomenal. All of their soups are full of flavor and they usually have a vegetarian or sometimes vegan option on their soup menu! Highly recommend stopping for a coffee or a quick, affordable bite to eat. read more

This is the perfect spot for anything. I come here to meet with friends over a drink, my husband comes here to work alone. Need a good place to study or work? Come here. Need a good place to grab a few drinks and some amazing food with friends? Come here. The staff is top of the line, fun, attentive, and friendly. The food and drink options are 5/5. Not to mention all of the specials: munchie Monday (bogo half price onions and salads after 4pm), tapper Tuesday (all taps half price), wine flight Wednesday (25% off all wine flights), boards and beers Thursday (25% off all charcuterie boards and beers after 4pm). They have great spiked coffee as well. The chef here is one of the very best in the area. Definitely check this place out if you've lived here your whole life or if you're just stopping through. You won't be disappointed! read more

Loved it! Out of the run-down stretch north of the Chicago suburbs comes the funky little town of Kenosha and The Buzz Café. Wonderful food choices--including vegan--and a good supply of coffee and tea for the buzz. The service is friendly and helpful. You are likely to share tables, but the clientele is friendly and interesting--something I don't see in my Connecticut home. If you're somewhere between Chicago and Milwaukee, it's worth the short side trip to get your buzz on in Kenosha. read more

The Buzz Cafe - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Kenosha, Wisconsin

First time coming here while back home for Christmas. I'm glad Kenosha has another great local coffee shop to offer! Loved the style of the brick walls and rustic vibes. The barista was very polite and accommodating with offering alternatives to dairy (I went with almond milk) and suggesting a good coffee drink with sea salt and caramel flavors without too much sugar. I love that there's a little seated area with couches in the bar of the place, as well as a small bar to order beer/wine. I will definitely be back and hope to try some of the foods or snacks they have to offer! I hope this business stays open for a long time! read more

When you run a restaurant, it's probably ideal to be good at hospitality. Or at least like people. And like to make food. In a reasonably quickly fashion. The people working here tonight should probably look for jobs in a different field. read more

Horrible customer service. The girl who took our order was very rude and not helpful. Bad attitude. Acted like we were bothering her. Terrible customer service and impolite. It was my first time in, ordered a banana cream latte. When I walked in the employees just stared at me unwelcoming for a good minute like I was a bother. When my drink was made they didn't even tell me it was ready, I had no idea until 10 minutes later when I saw it sitting on the counter. They could have at least shouted my order or something and not stared rudely while I'm waiting patiently looking stupid and embarrassed. Customer service is everything no matter how good the food is. This is not how you run a business and treat customers. I will not be returning. read more

Amazing service gets them 5 stars. If looking for a vegetarian option, you will be disappointed that there isn't one on the breakfast menu. But the staff can whip you up such a delicious sandwich that you will wonder why it's not a cornerstone on the menu, for example, a sautéed mushrooms, spinach and kale, and asparagus (I think?) pesto. Their coffee is still amazing- black or latte. Oh, and the solution to the wifi problem is this: If you are on a mac, type http://192.168.1.1 in your address bar, it will take you to the facebook login page, which will give you pretty good wifi for a couple hours. When it crashes, repeat. read more

absolutely DELICIOUS! And HEALTHY. A friend and I chose this place randomly to meet up after not seeing each other for years, and we were not disappointed! I got the 'Back to the Roots wrap'. Couldn't stop saying out how loud how good it was. We just found our official meeting spot!! read more

Was looking forward to trying this place, after reading all of the positive reviews. Popped in for lunch on a Friday. Didn't look exceptionally busy, based on open seats and plenty of staff. Ordered some sandwiches and drinks at the counter. Initial service was friendly; off to a good start. Picked up our drinks, and had a seat to wait for our lunch. And wait we did. After 15 minutes I started watching the kitchen to see what was taking so long. Not much was happening until another employee started making food at around the 20 minute mark. After 32 minutes, we got our lunches. The pasta salad was under cooked and dry, but mushy on the outside, indicating it had probably been around for a while, and soaked up the oil it had been dressed with. The sandwiches, on the other hand, were pretty good, featuring nice flavor combinations, and seemingly fresh ingredients. Thought the food prices a bit high, but probably not too far off for the area. Would consider trying the cafe again, but wouldn't make it a destination or first choice. read more

The Buzz Cafe - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Kenosha, Wisconsin

It's a one stop shop for breakfast, lunch, happy hour, and dinner. Pro: - good prices. For example, large iced nitro coffee is around $2.25 when most other places have it for more than $4. Breakfast sandwiches from $5.99 to $7.99. - lots of seating options Con: - Wifi is very spotty. - outlets only along the "computer wall" which is right next to the front door so the draft each time someone comes in is not ideal. - not many pastry options. I saw muffins and cheesecake. Would like to see some croissants etc. read more

The Buzz is a great wine and sandwich place my significant other and I frequent. It's new, trendy, and they change up the menu. I like the sandwiches that have sweet touches to them (I.e. Figs, jam, etc.). The service has always been friendly and laid back to me, even at peak times. The wine is a bit pricey for Kenosha and the specialty drinks are a little overly sweet. I usually try to ask for half the syrup and either they put in more to spite me or it's still crazy sweet - likely the latter, and which many people might like. Anyway, a great lunch or light dinner place. Cool weekday wine break too if you're antsy to go out in a laid back way. read more

I think the whole rude, hipster barista attitude is overdone. On multiple occasions, I've visited the buzz and the the girls behind the counter have some kind of attitude on. Finally, I've had enough that it's time for a review. For what reason are you so inconvenienced by this interaction at the counter? Is your place of employment THAT miserable that you have to extend unpleasant behavior toward the customer? On my most recent visit, I ordered the pineapple detox smoothie, which is a classic for me, (it's pineapple, coconut milk, agave and charcoal). I order it when I'm feeling in need of a little detox...maybe I had one too many miller high lifes the night before at gordys and I need something to make me feel less hungover/bloated/you get the point. The charcoal is key. At least in my mind it's key. Anyway, once she set the drink on the counter, I noticed it wasn't it's usual grey color (from the charcoal)...so I inquire. As if this is OK, she says, "oh yeah, we ran out of a charcoal." I am taken aback. I'm sorry, what? If I haven't made my point clearly above, the very reason I order this item off the menu is because of the charcoal. Upon realizing there is no charcoal to add into the "pineapple detox smoothie", wouldn't the barista have said to me ," hey I know you ordered this but we're out of charcoal, would you like to order something else?" Why yes, I would. I would have ordered something besides a pineapple smoothie...something like that green one because that sounds exactly like what my body needs...not just pineapple...for that, zero stars. If you're looking for a good downtown coffee shop, go to common grounds where they're smiling (under their mask, of course), friendly, and appreciative of your business! P.S. I still drank the pineapple smoothie and it was pretty good. read more

Such a yummy specialty drink! A relaxed yet chic atmosphere, friendly service and good prices. The lunch seemed a bit rich for my blood, but with a full cafe menu and free wifi I am hooked. The Buzz Cafe - There was more than could for in the mug, so they brought me it! Love that! Lavendar London Fog Latte (scrumptious) - Coffee & Tea Near Me - Kenosha, Wisconsin

This Cafe is definitely a gem in Kenosha. The food is AMAZING! I had The Veggie panini with the Ginger Apple Squash soup as a side, both were absolutely spectacular! I paired my food with a Honey B Latte that was absolutely fantastic! I am a bit of a foodie and definitely a snob when it comes to coffee and I can say, both were fabulous at this little cafe. On top of the mouth-watering cuisine, the atmosphere was euphoric! The cafe is beautifully decorated, similar to that of a location you would see in Milwaukee, or even Upstate New York! The staff was also very helpful and kind! I will definitely be coming back with friends and family! read more

Today I went to The Buzz with my partner. We both came in and thought that the vibe and ambiance was very good. I loved the decor. Unfortunately we had been met with some service that I wouldn't call good quality. The workers seemed to be low and not the happiest. Now I understand everyone has bad days however it was my first time here I heard good reviews and thought this would be a great date for me and my partner. I put that aside and we both ordered some food and coffee. The coffee came out to be really bad in all honesty. All we ordered was iced vanilla coffees and maybe it was the beans, but it was just bad. It had a sour-ish taste to it and no amount of creamer, milk, sugar or flavouring would be able to fix it. When the food came out it was actually very delicious. I orders the Cali baja, no avocado and my partner ordered the bacon, egg & cheese sandwich which she thought was great too. I found that the food was the only good thing this place had to offer. I asked for a small container for my food, and again I was met with a worker who seemed like she didn't want to be there, and acted as though I had interrupted her and annoyed her while she was making a coffee. All in all it was not a great experience. read more
