Totally loved this old school breakfast! My mom and I were early for an event and wanted to grab breakfast. This place was small and cute with an awesome menu! They have many options other than sweet breakfasts. We had to wait about 20 minutes but it was worth the wait! I had Christina's French toast and inhaled it! It was delicious! My mom had the big breakfast which was definitely BIG! She took part of the pancakes home because it was way too much to eat. If you have kids I recommend taking them here for a special treat. Breakfast here is an absolute treat, with specialty pancakes and assorted southern dishes. My favorite is their Nutella pancakes which come with strawberries and coconut topped with a Nutella drizzle (A+++). Their biscuits and gravy are some of the best I have ever had. Twice I have been to this place and have left satisfied, tummy full, and with thoughts of when I'll return. This place is really great and here's why: 1. Food is decently priced & you get big portions for each order ( unless you eat a buffet for breakfast then these portions should satisfy you or just order more food, no one is judging here). 2. Space is small, but clean, evenly spaced tables and staff is masked properly for peace of mind ( a debate on that topic is not welcomed). 3. You can tell love, or at least some elbow grease, was put into your meal (from the first bite to the last you'll know what I'm talking about). 4. Quick BUT friendly service ( nobody likes to feel like they're being rushed to leave). Food pictured in my review: Belgium waffles: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside (when you dream of eating waffles this is what you should be dreaming about or maybe only I dream about eating waffles). Pancakes: buttery & soft and bigger than your face (no face is an exception). Avocado Benny: perfectly poached eggs, crispy bacon, & for those avocado toast lovers, the addition of avocado may make you cry (it's that good). Make sure to add the home fries to any order you get, it's so perfectly seasoned that would put to shame your favorite home fries (or maybe not but it's worth a try). I was excited to try this. I've heard great things about it. I ordered the chicken with waffles. It came with a blue cheese buffalo type of sauce, so I asked for it on the side in case I didn't like it. My friend ordered the DIRTY BENNY which was Poached Eggs, Corn Beef Hash & Home Fries Over Biscuits with Freshly Made Hollandaise Sauce. When my chicken and waffles arrive, I was a little shocked. There was no chicken to be seen. It was a chicken patty that was shoved between two waffles! I was expecting a nice fried chicken breast or thigh! Or even drumstick! The waffles were barely lukewarm. I couldn't put butter on them when I tried to. The cold butter was not spreadable, it didn't melt. Dirty Benny was OK. My friend is not particularly impressed by it. I tried it, and was a little disappointed myself. I love homemade biscuits, but these had no flavor. It seems like this place is really known for their pancakes. Local favorite especially during the warmer weather. Country side does not take reservations which can be a down side for Sunday brunch plans with a large group, but is usually worth the wait! These pancakes are MASSIVE. Pancake stacks come with two cakes as big as your head, you will definitely be taking home leftovers. Free refills on hot coffee, and yes it is decent. The menu has endless options of pancakes, omelettes, french toast, classic breakfast sides, as well as lunch items. There is something for everyone on this menu. The food is good but extremely expensive. 2 eggs scrambled with just home fries and no toast was $9.00. Coffee is served in paper cups not glass and they are small. If you pay by credit card you get hit with a 2.75% surcharge on top of the meals ordered and tax. There is no notice that they charge you more if they process a card. Parking is also very limited and tight. I would not recommend this place. Better places in the area if you are looking for breakfast or lunch options. read more

My husband and I had brunch here today to meet halfway where we live from my friend and this place was so cozy, accommodating and delicious! We waited about 40 minutes for a table and was seated by the back area where they have heat lamps. I ordered the country omelette with chicken and spinach with a side of toast and home fries. The staff was friendly and we also met one of the owners. They checked in on us throughout our meals to make sure everything was okay. We took some of our food to go as the food is a lot in one portion and we can't wait to eat the leftovers! Still the long wait, but of course, with the covid, sitting is limited. So we waited . No biggie. This time, I had the avocado toast without the feta . It was okay and had ordered egg on the side so I can put over the toast. The gigantic serving , excellent service and great coffee did not disappear. Of course , we ordered pancakes. I asked for blueberry and strawberry pancakes but they only mix the blueberry in the pancake and they just put the strawberry on top. So not sure if cook remembered the strawberries after he made the pancake. We will come back but probably after covid. It is a long ride from home and not worth it. read more

Amazing strawberry shortcake waffles! The hash browns were crispy perfection! The kind WITHOUT the unnecessary sautéed peppers and onions. Can't say enough about this place. Def will be back!!! Side note about service: As a former waitress/bartender myself, I usually complain about servers these days not being trained to scan the room to check on their customers. After reading the many positive reviews my wife and I decided to try the Countryside Kitchen. Here is my opinion in a nutshell. Food above average, waitress very sweet, and the wait after you get a table is way too long. I really was surprised that after waiting fifteen minutes to get a table we had to wait an additional forty-five minutes to receive our order.. That being said my meal was delicious, it was called The Pigpen I think. My wife got Christine"s French Toast which she enjoyed. This place seems to be really popular. There were several people dining here. All of the employees were super friendly. This is definitely a spot we will be visiting again. The restaurant was clean and well run. You could tell they have a smooth working system. For breakfast, we ordered the big breakfast. It was sooo good!! It came with 2 humongous pancakes, 4 or 5 pieces of bacon, toast, potatoes, and 2 eggs. We ate a couple of hours ago and I'm still very stuffed. That's definitely okay with us!! You can tell the owners must be special people by the way this place is run, from the decor to the friendly staff and fantastic food. My husband and I stumbled on this place during a short trip and as self-proclaimed food snobs it's honestly the best breakfast place I've ever been to. They got it right. I'd drive an hour for this breakfast. Also, portions are really nice; when you order a side of eggs and bacon at any other place, you're left wanting, but not here.
