Thanks Sherril and Simone from the cafe Your great attitude increase my stay Grateful

Counter Point is a great spot to grab a bite in The Diplomat Beach Resort, but it won't be cheap. While staying at the resort B and I walked down to this spot one morning for breakfast, we each got a coffee and a breakfast sandwich, and our total was $30. The sandwiches were hot and tasty, and the coffee was ok, but I couldn't believe it was so expensive. I know it's in a nice resort, and you're on the beach, etc. But, $30 for two microwaved sandwiches and plain coffees is a bit much. I ordered an iced coffee, and it came without any sweetener. I like my coffee sweet, so when it was handed to me I asked if they had simple syrup. I was told a pump of syrup sugar would be $2.00, or I could use the packs of sugar located on a small counter behind me. C'mon.. you know regular sugar won't disolve well in iced coffee. I couldn't believe they wanted an additional $2.00 for a pump of syrup! That's just really too much. Overall, we did enjoy our meal, and the baked goods looked tasty, but based on the service and price I just can't give this spot a higher star rating. If you're looking for a breakfast spot on the cheap, this ain't it.

I stopped in for lunch while I was attending a convention at the Diplomat Resort. My experience was pleasant and nothing out of the ordinary. The coffee and sandwich I got were both really good. The prices are high - but it's the Diplomat Resort, so what do you expect? Maybe I hit it at a good time, but I don't understand the lower reviews. The Cubano sandwich was incredibly tasty. I would eat here again if I found myself back at the hotel but it's not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit.

Pre-made CRAP !

Woulnt even give this place one star. Waited in a 30 minute line for a slightly warm "panini" Since when is a panini not grilled? 35$ down the drain.

The menu states that all dishes are cooked to order so allow atleast 45 minutes but we were pleasantly surprised to be served within 20. I had the Keto Breakfast with a side of toasted ciabatta and my friend had the Modern Egg sandwich on ciabatta. I've never been so satisfied eating healthy. It was so tasty and savory; the prosciutto and smoked salmon were fresh and we both had enough to save for later The service was great and a man who happened to be one of the owners, tended to us. The cherry on top was learning that it's partially black owned. This fact made me so happy because to me thats what community looks like - a neighborhood gem.

Definitely worth the wait. Can't wait to come back!

Super disappointed with this place…read more Pros: The potatoes and eggs were good & the hot sauce has great flavor! Cons: First thing I did was use the restroom which had a horrible smell and the toilet needed cleaning. The service was good at first then fell off after we ordered our food- which was strange because it was not busy at all. We ordered the screwdriver & peach Bellini to drink. Steak & eggs and the Untoasted breakfast + side of ham. The screwdriver had an odd taste & the ham was extremely soft/squishy/seemed uncooked internally. The steak was not cooked well- but acceptable enough to eat. Our server never checked on us after we got our food which sucks because we needed a few things. A different server ended up walking by much later and asked if we needed help which is when I told her I'd like to send back the ham and screwdriver- both of which I barely took a bite/sip out of. I just told her I didn't like them and she got a bit of an attitude and wanted specifics as to why I didn't like it. I just reiterated i didn't like it and won't be consuming either so please take it back. We finished our food and no one ever came to our table again- while the workers were walking around helping the 5 other tables or talking amongst themselves. After sitting for 15+ minutes with our finished food, I just went to the front and waited for someone to check us out. I don't recommend this place and will not be back.

Everything we had was genuinely good and we'd definitely come back. First things first: the pancakes are HUGE. Seriously, if you're ordering one as a side, know that one pancake is easily enough for two people to share. We also tried the Secret Lemonade -- and for anyone wondering, "secret" basically means it's made in-house. It was fresh and tasty, but definitely on the sweeter side, so just be prepared if you don't typically like very sweet drinks. I ordered the chicken biscuit sandwich and really loved the flavor. The chicken was well seasoned, the biscuit was great, and overall it was delicious. My only small critique is that the portion feels a little small on its own, so I think it would be nice if it came with a side or something accompanying it. My husband is plant-based, and we appreciated that there was an option for him. He ordered the avocado toast along with a modified salad from the menu, which worked out well. Overall, solid spot with flavorful food.

Fluffy and sweet and not dry. Although I enjoyed my fried chicken biscuit enough to eat it all, it fell a tad short of my expectations. The biscuit and chicken were both lacking volume, the biscuit not fluffy enough and chicken not meaty enough. I couldn't pick it up without it all just crumbling apart. Menu claimed homemade biscuits, but maybe not made fresh that day? Chicken was wide but thin so every bite was just way too much breading and very salty. I would order something else next time. It's a teeny but charming restaurant that was packed when we got there. Luckily we were first on the list so got a table in 5 minutes. If there had been more people and a longer wait, downside is there's no room more than 2 people to stand and wait inside, and it was way too hot to have waited outside. Parking lot has plenty of space around back. All in all, it was a fun and cute spot to take my old folks for a family meal.
