But that isn't a bad thing. We grabbed a Rugelach Chocolate Croissant and an Iced Oatmilk Vanilla Latte. The croissant was so flaky with perfect layers of dark chocolate throughout. It almost look like artwork instead of pastry. The latte was soooo good. I love when places take the time and effort to make coffee drinks as exciting to take a photo of as to drink. That's definitely health code violation but they insisted I use a bathroom from the shopping center about 4 min walk. Crazy part after all that is I still accepted to sit outside. It also seemed like a healthy place which helped to influence us in heading there. The Fresh Squeeze is located in a strip mall and upon entering you have to turn around to look at the menu on their front windows. Besides that there is a cooler for drinks, a place to order and 3 or 4 tables, a 4-top and the rest 2-tops. After looking at the menu I ultimately decided on the Fire Bird which the menu described as Roast Turkey Breast, Provolone Cheese, Smokey Chipotle Aioli, Hot Diced Cherry Peppers on Grilled Ciabatta Bread while my wife went with the pressed pesto. After I had ordered mine he confirmed that I liked things spicy due to the cherry peppers on it and I confirmed that I did. Then while the sandwiches were being made, he engaged me in a nice conversation. Once our food made it to the table, I dug in. It was good as the flavor of turkey and provolone was in the front. Then the chipotle aioli added a nice bit of moisture to the sandwich and the cherry peppers added some good flavor and a little bit of heat to let you know they were there. Finally the ciabatta bread held together well and I was able to easily eat my sandwich without it falling all over the place. My wife also enjoyed her sandwich, especially the pesto and chicken on it. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I really enjoyed our food here and were happy with our choices.

Grumpy's seems to have something going on almost every night. Open Mike night on Wednesdays hosted by my friend Peggy Silvestri. Some kind of poker night. Other musical entertainment. Very fun. They also have Grumpy hour drink specials until 6:00 pm, which is probably more happy than grumpy, but I love the name. We already plan to go back again soon. It was not Kevin or John's fault whatsoever but the mashed potatoes were over-salted and inedible. Both my daughter's and mine. My ribeye was tough, not tender, and had a very strange bitter taste to it that I couldn't handle. Kevin was on it right away and asked what I would like to substitute with. I picked the Prime Rib because my daughter said hers was delicious. She switched to the Loaded Baked Potato and so did I. My Prime Rib was excellent. The problem was solved quickly and the replacements were delicious. Our Mother's Day dinner was a success after all. Then, on top of everything, John presented us with a VIP Mother's Day $10 gift card for our next visit.
