After being a member of Sam's Club for many years, we decided to give Costco a try. I had heard so much about their selection, and variety. It was true a lot to choose from. When we initially signed up, it was on Sunday, the place was a madhouse. We picked up a few things that day but we were on a schedule. I came back a few days later during the week. Not so crazy, and have a nice walk around the entire store. Just too many things to choose from. I was kind of surprised to hear that there is no liquor store at this location. Local ordinances. The one thing that I would like to see, is on the end of the aisles a list of what to expect. Similar to what you would see at a grocery store, and at a Sam's Club. Saw lots of things that I would like to get it, and I am sure I will be using my membership quite often. read more

This Costco is just like every other one - bulk grocery items, cheap gas, decent clothing, and food samples on the weekends. The staff are friendly and the store kept clean and tidy. They often times have pop-up stands too close together which can make isles difficult to navigate. The check-out lines are always ridiculous, even more so on the weekends, and the gas lines are equally as long. Overall they're doing a good job and I enjoy their product selection. read more

It should surprise no one who knows me that I'm giving this Costco 5 stars (like I did all the others I've reviewed). The good products and great prices (premium gas on a recent visit was 35 cents lower than nearby outlets!) are legendary. I bet if we took advantage of their $5 roast chickens to manage our grocery budget a lot more, we'd be millionaires by now. The reason for going to OTHER Costcos are two-fold: convenience (sometimes the store that's further from home is on your way on that day) and variety. What variety? Just by way of an example, I was able to find a couple of wines at the university store that I can't at Altamonte - the one at Palm Beach was a BLAST to visit in that sense, and I always check out the ones in Atlanta whenever I visit. Variety even in their coffee grinder! I think I prefer the ones here a lot more than the ones at Altamonte! read more

I called the optical department several times throughout the days , no one picked up the phone. I called again at night , no one picked up the phone. I called up front and informed the store manager about the issue. he put me on hold for 20 minutes and said he will go over to the optical dept to check. he never returned to inform me. after 20 minutes I hang up the phone. that tells you how horrible their customer services from the store manager to the staff especially at the optical department read more

I first want to address the low rating on this location. It's 5 stars, Hector among many others, Orlando, Billy, Francis have made our 3yrs in Orlando feel more connected. They've been there as a community and friendly. These people shine and show the truest value of customer values. Life can be hard sometimes, it's a joy to have such people with amazing integrity. What can I say that isn't already known about Costco? Plenty! The wife and I love this place. They have really great prices on bulk items. We purchase mostly paper products and some food items here. I posted a picture of pigs in a blanket that they sell, which we buy all the time. They are so delicious! But, Costco has more to offer than just bulk items. They can help you get discounts on anything from new cars to travel and cruises. The gas prices are great too! We will definitely keep coming back here. I'm taking a star off not because of Costco, but because of some of their customers. This place is packed and busy almost all the time and a majority of the customers are oblivious to their surroundings. I've encountered customers stopping in the middle of aisles or even confused at how the self checkout works. When I come here, I have a plan in kind to get in and hour efficiently. read more

Snagged a membership again at this place. I haven't been since maybe 2010, so it's quite awhile. After I got my card, I immediately proceeded to the deli so I can partake in the classic eats. Noticed that the hotdog combo is still there for $1.50 so I purchased it and asked for a side of sauerkraut. I then headed to the condiments area and turned the dial (or is it a crank?) for the onion machine and none came out so I had to ask the worker to refill. Once it was refilled, I then cranked it up and the onions started cascading down into my hotdog. I then added the spicy mustard on my hotdog, grabbed a seat, and poured the kraut on top. I quickly realized that it was lacking relish so I went back to the condiments and then piled it on. As I took one glorious bite after bite, I realized that the hotdog tastes much better than before, and they actually use their own brand now. I definitely enjoyed my meal and was extremely satisfied. I was going to head out but I then thought that Costco is famous for their samples and I used to partake in them and even got full on quite a few occasions. So I headed to the back and they were giving away such amazing items like a lax, sliced turkey with havarti, crackers with some pesto topping, sample sizes of burger, and also Boom Chicka Pop. After having maybe thirds or fourths of the samples, I figured I'd purchase something so I got the lax, an order of mesquite wings, and a huge bag of Boom Chicka Pop. I used the self checkout and was outta of there in no time. Before I left, I grabbed a water cup and filled it with Sierra Mist for the road. I'm so glad I got this membership again and have since been back quite often, partaking in the samples, indulging in the yummy and tantalizing chicken bakes, and of course, purchasing bulk items. read more

This one has pretty good deals and cheap gas. It's relatively organized, but they sell out of items quickly. They seem to have low turnover - the same people have worked here for years. My favorite part of Costco is the Photo Center. Pax who works at this one is the best! read more

They have self checkout kiosk in this location. You don't have to lift the heavy and bulky items, there are always staff members ready to scan the items directly from your cart. The lines move fast in both self check and regular checkouts. There's plenty of parking, which you don't have to walk far distances from any side. read more

Terrible experience in Tire Center I bought 4 tires from Costco about 2 years ago. Even though it is not the most convenient or expeditious location, they had what seemed like a really good deal. Buy your tires with them and you get a warranty which includes free tire patching, if a new tire is needed they would prorate the cost based on the life left on your old tire AND if you had a flat you would be moved to the front of the line when coming in for service. BUT, they recently decided to nix the part where you can come in with a flat for immediate repair.... you now have to make an appointment like everyone else. I feel I was misled when I purchased the tires and am now being held hostage because I bought my tires there. I can't take the car anywhere else.... which in most cases, I would get same day service, because I would then have to pay for the repair. My advice.... DON'T BUY TIRES FROM COSTCO in Winter Park. read more

I love the wide array of things you can buy at Costco. I especially appreciate that they are starting to carry organic & gluten free products! Hopefully that will continue to grow! The organic power greens with spinach, chard & kale is a staple in our house, PERFECT for green smoothies. Parking is usually disastrous on the weekends, so I go during the week. The location and layout of the store is pretty good efficient. I use the photo center a lot, they have GREAT prices. I HATE when Costco gets a good product in and then doesn't have it soon after. They started carrying Kashi's gluten free cereal and my husband and I were ecstatic. The next month it was gone! The market for gluten free foods is rapidly expanding, Costco would benefit greatly by continuing to offer gluten free products. read more

A pretty standard Costco. Had to leave a review after an aggravating tire service experience. Come in for a tire. They have to order it. Ok, no problem. Have to pay for the entire service upfront. Ok, no problem. Tire will arrive in a day or 2. Ok, no problem. Say they will call. Sure. That's was it. Nothing more explained or said. Alright, so next day waiting around all day, no call. I assumed it hadn't arrived, but just in case I call them anyway (even though I had reservations because I didn't want to be an annoying customer). Except... The tire is in. They were 'just about' to call. Ok, great. It's already late afternoon so I explicitly state out loud we'll come in the next morning. Person on phone says ok and hangs up. Arrive the next day only to be told I have to have an appointment. Now, where in any conversation with these people did someone explain that? Even better...how TF do you take our money and order a tire upfront without making an appointment if an appointment is required? When asked why NO ONE told us about making an appt, dude just kept repeating it over and over. When asked if we can get a refund and cancel the whole thing, was told: 'sure, but that the same tire is going to cost a lot more elsewhere'. LMFAO. Wow. I mean, these dudes are just straight up a/h0l3s. In the end we waited because honestly where are we gonna go with only 3 good tires, but I sure as heck will not buy tires from any Costco ever again. A fact that they probably don't care about. So, as short and snotty as they want to be, my advice to all tire customers: ask a thousand questions, be an annoying customer... becuase they arent at all helpful if you're nice or mean...so why bother with being nice at all? read more

I love most everything about Costco except for the optical department. Every time I go there I tell myself that the experience will be better. My problem is mostly how they don't greet you or acknowledge your presence at all. Very blunted affect. They only pay attention to the next number. The least they can do is look up, smile, and say "we will be with you as soon as possible". I feel like I'm going to the DMV when I go to the optical department. It sucks, because all of the other Costco workers are so attentive and well trained to address their customers properly. Costco is an incredible store with everything you can think of with tons of it. Tires are higher quality for cheaper prices. Meats are always fresh and cheaper than grocery stores. On Saturdays they usually have seafood roadshow. Employees are super nice! The mens clothing selections are pretty decent with a good selection of stuff for all ages. Only complaints: Girls selection of clothing is for either 5 year olds OR 45+ year olds. Wife isn't too happy about that when i'm always pickin up clothing there. No alcohol! They should add a liquor store to this Costco. read more

I love shopping at Costco and have been going to this location since it opened. I just started meal prepping and this is a great place to get your food in bulk. So many of their items are priced significantly cheaper than if you were to buy them at Publix. I frequently purchase their chicken breast and NY strip steak and have never been disappointed by the quality of the meat. Other items, such as their fruits/veggies/juices (especially POM & Sujas are a bargain here). If you don't like big crowds, come shop on a weekday - but the trade off is you'll miss out on all the samples. The auto center is also great. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. If you're worried about a dealership pressuring you into buying something you don't quite need yet, bring your car here and they will be honest with you. We had a recent experience where the dealership was pressuring us into buying new tires. The mechanic here was nice enough to walk out to our car to closely examine the treads/walls of all the tires and said we could hold off on replacing the tires for a while. read more

Good deals but the place is busy, and usually messy/dirty. Gas is a great price and their sample game is on point (Sat/Sun 11-2pm, peak time). Parking is usually a hassle, expect to park far away. Weekends are crazy but not to busy during the week. The line at the food court gets really long on the weekends, usually non existent during the week. My biggest complaint by far, is the cleaning of the food court. IT IS DISGUSTING. The tables look like they have never been cleaned, and the drink station/ Condiment station is sticky and crawling with flies. Do not touch anything! and wash your hands after. They don't even have suitable wipes so you can wipe down your own table, just the regular brown napkins. The area needs some serious work. THE EMPLOYEE's ARE RUDE. Beware. Even the supervisor i talked to was an asshat. BEWARE. read more

I pop into the optical for a price match for a frame I saw online that Costco had but in a different color; I met Martha S and she was awesome from the start. She gave me what I needed but she said let me see if I can find some more glasses, -so I trusted her good spirit and the next thing I see is a bunch that are exactly my taste and quality. She highlighted the Costco experience and went beyond the Costco standard in service. It was a delight and wonderful experience. I used to love this Costco. Great prices on great products, and what used to be great customer service. I brought a friend with me today so that she could use my membership card. The cashier just about bit our heads off and then said that next time, he'll charge us (her) $60 for a membership. Wow. No need to get angry, dude. Next time, I'll just pay for all of it and she can give me the cash. So there. He also wouldn't accept my Costco coupons a day early, which this location used to do. Whatever. I'll probably still end up shopping here because of the great prices, but I almost seems like every employee here is trained to have an attitude with the customers. The top 10 reasons I love Costco in no particular order. 1. We get 95% of our meat and seafood here. The quality is wonderful at a much cheaper price than Publix. 2. The flower bunch is 15$ and I can get 3 arrangements out of it and they last well over a week. 3. Dog beds. I have a Great Dane and they have the best beds for him at a 1/3 of the cost of pet stores. 4. Wine. There are a number of wines that you can get cheaper here than at the winery. Francis Coppola directors cut Pinot Nior for example. 5. Nexus Shampoo and Conditioner. I can get twice as much for the same price as the salon. 6.Their bakery. Really good breads and desserts. If you have a large crowd coming this is the place for cookies, muffins, brownies, and cakes. 7. Kitchen gadgets, cookware, and dining ware. I love looking at the new stuff they have available each week. 8. Cheeses. They always have a wonderful selection of cheeses at half the cost of Publix. 9. Frozen foods. They offer stuff we eat on a regular basis as well as party foods. 10. I feel good about shopping at Costco because they treat their employees well. read more

Whether I need to top off anything from my gas, fridge, to credit limit Costco has what it takes to make that happen. Simply they have the cheapest gas in the area because their a loss leader/loyalty driver. So you can't lose there. Next as soon as you walk in you see the brand new Samsung or LG TV's brightly showing off their colorful displays. They're saying, "we know you don't need us...but you want us...take me home with you and we'll stay up all night with Netflix and Chill..." Further down you'll see their meat section. Once you see those fire roasted chickens rotating in the rotisserie all you can think about is licking your lips after sucking down the sweet juices and oils from the succulent bite you just took... After browsing their produce section you feel the urge to clean up your diet. You grab a head of broccoli, then green beans, grapes, apples, cauliflower, that spring mix salad you thought only was served at high end restaurants. Before you know it your cart is filled with enough greenery to confuse others around you into thinking you're a walking greenhouse. Somewhat further down you see the snack aisle. Now you're thinking I don't need these I'm on my healthy tip with all these fruits and veges. However, a part inside of you says you don't always have the time to prep food so you end up getting FOUR boxes of Cliff bars that you tried that one time from your friend you met at the rock climbing gym. As you roll your cart filled that new 65" Samsung TV, succulent chicken, gracious greens, and enough cliff bars to last the Appalachian trail you're greeted by the warmest Costco employees. They say hi like you've been neighbors who catch up with each other in the drive way when your trying to leave, it's sincere but you just wanna get out. Meh. I joined cause it's close to my business, and sometimes we need something in bulk like napkins or something last minute. I was surprised after I joined to find they accept ONLY AMEX and Debit cards, but not Visa or MC cards. Seriously? What the hell? As a business owner, I understand exactly the fees involved with the various cards. We take ALL of them, and it's not complicated. Not really a fan of people only taking certain forms of payment. Also, none of the aisles are labeled in any way that I could see. I'm a member at BJ's as well and I can spot most things by aisle from a distance, at Costco I literally have to walk every aisle if I'm not sure where something is. I dunno, it's fine I guess but I just feel really limited with the payment options, and feel a little lost in the store when shopping. I'm sure more trips would = a better understanding of the layout, but I'm not really a fan. read more

Oh Costco -- I can't walk out of here without spending at least a hundred bucks. This location is pretty standard and they have enough space to park which is awesome! You do need to plan for bulk buying which can get tricky for a two person household like ours. It works perfectly if you split it with another family (for us, half of it goes to my moms house). There are some unbeatable deals for frozen fruits (their Kirkland frozen pineapple is amazing) and veggies (they have a power green blend that is kale, chard and spinach that lasts long, does not have a bitter taste, and is just the right size leaf). Meat is of great quality here, but we have to save that for special occasions due to price and volume (sure, 12$ a pound isn't bad for the quality steak until the packages are 6 pounds too heavy -- we can't eat that quickly enough and that meat changes when frozen :( ). Eggs and milk are also a great staple from Costco along with that 4.99 giant rotisserie chicken. They do have a set of self checkout lanes, but every time I line up for one, it takes too long. The cashier lanes look intimidating, but they're super quick! Also, don't forget to come hungry! 1.50 hotdog combos and 1.99 pizza slices will get you at the end read more

I have to say after a little more experience with Costco, I am thoroughly impressed. I bought an executive membership that gives me 2% back, I can refund at any time and if I do not earn up to membership price by the following year the difference will be refunded. I also bought a computer which has a 90 day return policy (this is for all electronics), fortunately for this I am not the most fond of this laptop and I can return it for a better one that suits me. My prescriptions are a hellava lot cheaper here too..from over $100 at the last "discount" pharmacy for a month supply to $9 for a 90 day supply?! Are you freakin' kidding me?! That in and of itself is a reason to get a membership. I have to say I am not quite fully done finding out about this place, but in regards to the bang for the buck and confidence in products, I have not been as impressed. read more

My husband and I finally gave in and signed up for an executive membership giving us 2% back. We have been members of BJs Wholesale Club for many years and only opted to join Costco because it was closer to us location wise. We were not prepared for the madness that is going on a Saturday or Sunday! The parking lot was INSANE which seemed to be an indicator of how it would be in the store. Pure CHAOS. There are representatives for cell phone providers, water bottling companies, home product companies, etc trying to get your attention. Then there are the Costco employees at every endcap hawking the free food samples. It is actually quite amusing watching people scoop up the samples. Every man or woman for themselves! I honestly swear that people must not eat before heading here so they can eat for free!! Some negatives: The setup is a little confusing since I am used to BJs. Will take some getting used to. I was a little shocked that they don't have a deli counter so that is a bummer. Don't really care for purchasing prepackaged deli meat. Also, the pet food section is pretty disappointing. Not many choices and known brands. I noticed that many brands I am used to seeing are not available Coupons are not accepted. Hours are limited. They close at 6pm on the weekends and 830p on weekdays! Expect CROWDS on the weekend. As for the positives: The layout of the registers is very efficient. They get you checked in and out quickly . The snack bar area also has a huge line every time we have been there. So I can only safely assume that the food is really good and priced well. They have a pharmacy! The gas station is great to have so close. Overall, not yet sold on this place. My heart is still with BJS Wholesale Club next to Millenia Mall. I will continue to give this place a shot though. read more
