I read quite a few yelp reviews about this Costco, so I don't repeat the same thing, everyone else says. They now have a self service check out. What a great feature. I love using this lane at stores. I am one for dashing into Costco and grabbing meats or dairy only then getting gas. So this feature is great for me. Now if I go to Costco to do my monthly shopping this lane would no be for me. Scanning 20 + items the correct way doesn't excite me. DON'T GO ON THE WEEKEND! unless you enjoy the hustle and bustle of NYC all in a parking lot and warehouse building. Shopping during the week is much more enjoyable! There is plenty of parking and no long lines in the checkout. The prices ARE great...on the items I purchase. I've price compared. When you have one guy and two teenaged boys in the house you tend to go through a lot of snack and toilette paper!!! The meat case and fruits and veggies are fabulous too! read more

Wait in line to wait in line... should be the name of this store. On my recent trip to this bulk retailer... I started at the gas pumps. Hmm... 3 to 4 cars in each lane waiting their turn. I made a point to look at the price at the Racetrack and Wawa stations I passed on my way to Costco. Hmm... Costco was exactly 1 penny cheaper than those other two. Not sure it's worth the wait to save 15 cents. On to the main entrance... wait in line to show my card to the person at the door. Finally! Inside! Trying to move inside this insanely crowded store is not easy. Lots of people plowing their their carts aimlessly up and down the aisles. I looked at the packaged fresh salmon in the coolers at the back. Wow! They don't have any fillets smaller than absofuckinglutely huge! I don't need to feed my whole neighborhood, just me, my partner and a dinner guest. Not sure I'm up to dropping $35 on one Salmon fillet. Coffee! OK, finally something I'm willing to part with my money for. The Manatee coffee is probably my favorite in the world. It's about $10 for a bag of whole bean coffee (so you'll need a grinder), but it's amazingly good. On to the DVD section... hmmm... I know it used to be here... but... it's TINY now. Well, I guess they're going the way that Best Buy and other stores are going and phasing them out. I've zoomed past the huge packages of toilet paper, olives, oat meal, light bulbs, etc. because I don't have a huge SUV to transport my loot, I don't have a huge house with huge closets to store all that crap, so maybe, just maybe, I'm not the best person to be shopping here. Moving on to the check out. Whoa!?!? Lines so long I can't see the registers! Even in the self-serve lanes! OK, so waiting in line. Again. They don't take any credit cards except for their own. They do take debit cards, but that's just plain stupid. Finally done and on my way to the exit... to... wait for it... wait in line. They've got 2 people working the door making sure I didn't steal anything, but it's still a huge chore. I don't get it. Why would people pay money to shop at a store that makes shopping there such a pain in the ass? Probably not renewing my membership. read more

This Costco is always clean, I am here once a week at least because they offer such a great selection of meats,veggies and the price on their organic milk is worth the trip for my family. I don't like the sales reps for the phone companies trying to rope me into their web of BS every time I walk by, but let's face it where is this not annoying or avoidable these days? There are occasional seasonal vendors set up in the aisles selling clothes, purses, home improvement and so far these items have been less than great in my experience. I just avoid this stuff and it's all gravy!! Samples are pretty awesome when you go in starving ( bad idea haha!) and can eat your way through. I never leave hungry, the hot dog/pizza deal on the way out is pretty great on it's own. Best of all I love that if I get home and my stuff is for any reason not awesome I can bring it back ( obviously exclusions to electronics and some other items). I have had very little issue with produce or meat purchased here over the past few years and when I did they replaced the items without issue. I use my Costco Amex rewards and pay it off the next day to earn money at both stores, pretty awesome to get a few hundred bucks back per year and not pay any fees to do so. The slightly annoying negatives - To pay for your purchase you may use cash,check, debit or Amex ONLY. You cannot use any other type of credit card. They do not let you know this until you are checked out and paying, of course then they try to sell you on their deal with Amex. The price of gas is always the best for miles! Amex or debit ONLY, you cannot use cash or any other brand at the pump!! Some of the employees can be crabby as they unload your cart, this is very rare though almost every time I am there it is all smiles and small talk. Love how long some of these people have been here!! Smiling faces rock!! I am not including the glasses/tires/pharmacy here only due to lack of much interaction on my end. I went to Costco yesterday. I usually do not go to Costco unless I am getting my photo order. They have the best deals by the way on photos and photo gifts. So, I went there yesterday to actually shop for something other than photos. The layout of this store sucks! They do not have a guide on the aisles to tell you what is on each aisle. I wandered looking for the items I needed. They sell their gallon milks in these slim containers that are supposed to fit better in the fridge. Which they do but there is no spout on the top so milk can easily spill. Put it this way, I spill it theres no way I would let me kids poor it! I checked out yesterday and the cashier tells me to put away by Costco coupons because he would scan them. Well I got distracted and didnt catch it until I was in my car fixing to pull out that he didnt give me the discount for the coupons. Now Im really ticked because I have cold items in the hot car(91 degress out). So I have to wait at customer service. There was a rude lady behind the counter who told me she could not give me the refund and that I had to go to some booth in the front center of the store. I also have found the prices here are more expensive than BJS and Sams where I am also a member. read more

The Costco on University Blvd in Winter Park offers a Gas Station, Tire department, Pharmacy and large offering of regular, seasonal and featured items. They seem to have a slightly different product mix than the Altamonte Springs location, but for the most part the standard items are here. There is no liquor store at this location, but they offer wine and beer in the warehouse. Service is helpful, the bakery always does a nice job with standard and custom ordered items. I have purchased everything from large electronics, standard house items, office equipment and supplies, wine, meat, and produce. Quality is always good, whether a brand or Kirkland item. Gas prices are always a few cents less than regular stations in the area. read more

Great prices, great produce, great seasonal items, and some of the best cuts of (and prices for) beef I've had. Unfortunately, though, what should be a 5-star review gets quickly shot down because of rude employees. This store used to be filled with great people who went out of their way to be polite and help customers; now there are only one or two employees who fit that description (most notably a dark-haired and younger female cashier and a bigger gentleman who is always giving out samples and being super nice to my children). The biggest issue is, what other yelp members have called them, the "membership sharks." It is as if you are dealing with a telemarketer who won't stop calling, or those guys at the mall who continually try to get you to change your phone service plan. They won't stop. I am always thinking to myself "okay I get it, you must get a commission. But you asked and I declined, please leave me alone." But they don't leave you alone, and today was no different. When I said that I would take my business elsewhere two different employees at the register shrugged their shoulders and did that half-roll-of-the-eyes thing, as if to say "oh well" or more likely (in my opinion), "what do I care if this place loses business, it doesn't hurt me." To be fair I admit that I cannot be sure that's the opinion and attitude they have, but that is certainly the impression I was left with. They genuinely don't care about the customers here. This is only one example of many. And because of this, I will do what I said I would, something they don't seem to mind me doing at all: I will take my business elsewhere. read more

So disappointing. The samples here were really good and I wanted to buy some of them. One of the sample ladies said I could get a one day pass. The lady was wrong and I couldn't. My boyfriend drags me to this Costco at least once a week. I'm not sure how to exactly review bulk items but if you're looking for it- you've found your place. The weekends can be a bit of a nightmare as it is so busy, especially if you are waiting in line for a free sample. Some of the Costco shoppers are ruthless when it comes to free samples... especially if it involves cheese of any kind. Whether you're getting ready for the ultimate dinner party, or you're simply stocking up for an impending zombie apocalypse, Costco is the place to shop. They have a vast selection of bulk items at considerable lower prices than your typical grocery store. Of course, you must purchase in bulk in order to see the savings so be prepared to spend quite a bit of money. They have a large fine cheese selection for any cheese platter needs and many delicious wines at various price points. The service has been good everytime I shop here, no complaints there. The good: -- it's a freaking bulk store with huge tubs of stuff -- Low dollar payout on the buttwipes -- Free Samples at every corner -- a load of other benefits listed on the pamphlet -- Cheap gas The Bad: -- Costco shoppers mulling aimlessly about and stopping without warning right in front of you -- The hairnets make even the most attractive sampler girl look like my third grade lunchlady (picture Chris Farley in an Adam Sandler music video) -- Checking out is time consuming and tedious. **Please note... the folks checking you out are super efficient and they get the job done. Have been here more times since last review. Very very busy checkout on the weekends. We tried to use the self checkout and it kept kicking the items back at us. Not sure why it does that. There is a arch where the items you scan go through after you scan them, and I guess I put the items past the arch. My god come on, I have self checked out in many stores this was annoying. Great products at Costco, but the logistics is just messed up. Not to mention a food shop that sells pepsi only products and subpar food, which also accepts only cash. There are a lot of annoying things about Costco. For instance the type of people that shop there don't pay attention and run their cart into you. I think mostly old money shops here, snobby retired people, buying a lot of wine. It's like they all live in Winter Park where something doesn't stink. I always say it's full of old hippies that have money. A lot of older BMW's, Mercedes or other cars like that. Comparing the people that go here and Sams is like comparing them to Laurel and Hardy. Sams has the Hardy sized people, in that a whole lot of people are obese that shop there. Where Costco has the Laural sized people. It's actually a very accurate description of the cliental. Sams seems to attract people some really lower income people as well, where Costco attracts people of more wealth. Either way carts are full in both businesses. People buy gas here, I have no idea why? Their gas prices aren't any better then racetrac or wawa, or most other places. I think they only accept american express. They sometimes have propane for $9.99 which is a good deal. The price varies from $9.99 to 12.99. You just know when you need it, it's going to be $12.99. Drove there on a Sunday to get a prescription filled. The pharmacy was closed. i had checked online and said it was open. This is not the first time I have gone to Costco and something was closed. Always enjoy my shopping experience at Costco and this location rocks. For the last three years we have purchased our Christmas tree here and we have never been disappointed. The tree is full , tall , soft and last long time as long as you water it. Costco loads it in your vehicle all tied up . You pay first then take your receipt to the truck. The crazy thing is it was only the low low price of $29.00 - WHAT! For real - the tree lots we've been to in the past were stupid high in priced. The membership is totally worth the items you get here. I am not completely done decorating our tree but I will post a pic of the tree so far. Merry Christmas !! read more

Costco - Tires Near Me - Winter Park, Florida

I love Costco for their quality, prices, warranty, and customer service. No matter where you go, you can always expect them to be at a high level. What I dislike, however, is the long lines, and busy crowds. It is a nightmare to shop here on a weekend, as the store is jam packed with slow-walkers, and food samplers leaving their carts in the way as they munch on crab dip. The checkout lines are unbearable, particularly the self-checkout. The machines actually work better than most I've tried at other stores, but again, it's always the human element than manages to screw things up The parking lot is no better, with lines of cars waiting to park, or just in queue for the gas. If you can, try to come during the week, as then you'll be able to keep you sanity. If Costco could somehow open up another location nearby to relieve the crowds, that would be so awesome. read more

There's a racist employee who harassed me without provocation, a manager (Gabe Vargas) who didn't care and lied to protect his employee, declining seafood quality, and replacing good products with junk. Good deals, good pizza, great samples, I love going to Costco around lunchtime and trying for a meal's worth of free samples...but the pizza, churros, and drinks are so cheap I am always satisfied when I leave. Pros: great deals if you buy in bulk. Try their seasoned ribs--so so so good, we don't even go out for ribs anymore. Samples--yum. They have a little bit of everything, even their men's clothing selection has supplemented my husband's wardrobe quite a bit. You also get a discount on gas. Cons: Horrendous terrible parking and traffic flow. You have to pay for a yearly membership, so it is not worth it if you don't spend a lot of money there every year. It is always so. crowded. I have to anticipate an anxiety attack and schedule time for a nap after every visit. Also, their "kirkland's" generic brand items are not always the best quality. We quit buying the chicken and seafood because we found it didn't quite match the quality of other markets. read more

DONT buy appliances from Costco.com. The delivery driver hit someone outside the gate, then damaged my brand new refrigerator squishing it between the wall and the counter. The fridge is on back order so they told me to return it. they can't bring back my old appliances and Costco won't refund refrigerator at replacement value because it was purchased in a suite. Absolutely terrible customer service. Use a local retailer. Don't use Costco. The contracted delivery service Innovel is responsible for the damage done to my home and they have contacted me yet. Costco takes no responsibility for anything. Please remember, I didn't change my mind the DRIVER damaged the appliances and now I have none. We shop at this Costco frequently and are satisfied with their service. Friendly greeter as you walk in and ample food samples. They seem to be priced reasonably for the surrounding area. The only thing negative is the cashiers/ cart handlers when you checkout. I have yet to run into a friendly/ outgoing cashier who sends you that "CostCo" welcome! Great Costco! The employees are very friendly at this location. The store is always clean and organized, and they have a gas station and tire center. This store does not have a liquor store though so if you're planning a party you will need to go elsewhere for the booze, as they just have beer and well-priced wines here. Once you get the balancing act down, this is a great way to save money. We come in for the basic meal necessities that we know we'll use up: a large bag of chicken breasts, vegetables, etc. Things that we use several times a week, and are significantly cheaper here than anywhere else. The coupons that come in the mail help too. If you're a grill guy like myself, the meat selection is very good. Filet mignon at $11.49/lb ? Yes please! They even have a selection of USDA Prime steaks -- I've never seen that at any normal grocery store. If you have a smoker and a party coming up, the pork shoulder is a good price and HUGE. Brisket quality is hit and miss in terms of overall thickness. Don't go here for cameras. I see a lot of cameras that are at least a generation of two out of date, being sold for more than they're worth. read more

Costco Optical Department is absolutely ridiculous during COVID. You pay hundreds of dollars for your glasses and have to wait in an hour line just to pick up what you have already waited in line for. Never again! Either hire more staff or have a special line for pick ups! read more

This is a really good store with lots of variety and choices. The selection of cheeses and protein is very good and fairly priced. I am pleased with this and am more and more surprised each time I go finding better deals than I do at other supermarkets. The staff is also friendly, for the few times that I had to deal / interact with them, it has been a good experience. My friend and I went into Costco this past Friday and had an irritating experience with an employee. We got hand sanitizer from the pharmacy and went to the self check out to pay. As we were paying my friend realized a sticker was blocking the bar code. So she scratched a bit of it off to scan the hand sanitizers. The gentleman working at the self check out laughed and said we couldn't pay for the hand sanitizer at the front but only at the pharmacy. He ripped the price tag and told us we had to go back to pay for it there. Why didn't the technician who handed me the hand sanitizer tell me I had to pay it there? Why is hand sanitizer behind the pharmacy desk? Why did the employee rip of the price tag then told me to go get another hand sanitizer so he can manually put the price in for me? read more

Been a member for half a year now. The prices are fairly cheap for most everyday grocery items. I've calculated most of the prices per pound and per ounce and Costco beats other stores like publix and windixie almost always. Their meat and seafood selection is off the hook! Their ribs are amazing and they have ground bison! Great deals on clothing as well. Every Other week there's a new setup of adidas, puma, Nike, Calvin Klein, etc. There's also a great selection of furniture, electronics, kitchen amenities. The staff is always nice and helpful, and at lunch hour they have at least 10 different food tasters around the store. Always the best gas prices! The bad: crowds It's almost always crowded when I go. I've been all days of the week and at all hours and it will always have a decent crowd. Parking can be a pain but never a problem finding a spot a little farther away. Lines are always kinda long but the cashiers are the fastest in the game! Also, self checkout available. read more

I go to Costco at least once a week because it has groceries, gas that's cheaper than most other gas stations, liquor, a tire center, pharmacy, and as of a few weeks ago, a new garden center. I frequently purchase the Kirkland signature non fat Greek yogurt and multigrain bread, rotisserie chicken ($5!), and big pack of romaine lettuce. They've added a couple of new products that I've been enticed to try, like raw honey, organic vanilla almond milk, and new bakery items. Speaking of the bakery, it has a lot of inexpensive and freshly baked goods. The Einstein bros bagels are $5.49 for two packs of six that you can mix and match. Their big sheet cakes that you pre order are a must for birthday parties. The food court is great as well: large pizzas for less than $10, hot dog and soft drink with refill for $1.50, and so much more, including smoothies, mochas, and chili. I checked out the new garden area today, and found it to have a large variety of plants and flowers. For $27, there were many citrus, lychee, mango, pomegranate, and even olive trees! I'm not sure how well they will grow in Florida'a climate, but sure are cool. Costco is a great place to get all of your shopping done in one place, just avoid weekend afternoons if you don't like crowds. read more

This Costco gets a very bad review because they have racist employees down to people asking me randomly for my Costco card to the lady singling me out walking in I would watch every white person walk straight through but the moment they see me because I'm black with tattoos they harass me and blocked me from walking in asking for my card very disappointed in the employees here even the way they look and watch you is just wrong making me feel uncomfortable in the store. read more

I bought tires online and had them installed here. I called to book an appointment beforehand. When I got there, Christian was very helpful. They were already very busy, as I arrived 10 minutes late for my appointment. I decided to reschedule. Everyone I've dealt with has been very friendly and helpful. The price for the tires also was so good that the savings paid for my Costco membership. I'm telling everyone I know to get tires from here. read more
