This particular Goodyear Auto Service is located in the Colonialtown Shopping Plaza and is on the corner of Bumby Avenue and Concord Street. I was here on a Sunday morning to get some service done and I found the team to be professional, friendly, and honest. As an added bonus to the customer, they are open sunday. I am sure the employees are not too happy about that, though. I do a lot of driving for work and I am constantly on my car. I keep up with the maintenance and I have good luck with my vehicles because of that attention to maintenance. It is good to find an honest mechanic and while this was my first time at this particular location, I have used Goodyear many times in the past. In fact, they are where I go for my tires. The mechanics here are literally garbage. I can't emphasize that enough! They don't know what they are doing, they charge you for things that weren't broke and you did not ask for. Sure they can replace a tire, but I can, too. They don't listen to their customers and go out of their way to mislead you. I booked an oil change online just for their basic package. I got to the store and waited around for about 20 minutes to speak to someone at the desk. After that wait they told me they wouldn't honor the deal online and tried to make me pay for a package that was 3x as expensive. They refused to do anything other than that package. If I could give negative stars, I would. This shop is a scam, they are not honest, they have been ripping me off for years, and I just discovered it this week. I have been buying tires from this store for years along with their warranties. For some reason every time I went to the store with a bad tire they would always tell me, "Oh this isn't a tire you bought from us". And I kept buying new tires, finally this last time I went and I knew I had bought four tires from them, once again they pulled the old, "Oh you've only bought THREE tires from us." They had photos of the tire they replaced and it wasn't a Goodyear Tire. Now I just couldn't believe that so I went through my records and I've bought SIX tires from these jokers. The tire that they had a photo of was purchased from another mechanic in 2019, before I even started visiting Goodyear. So either they've been replacing tires under warranty while telling me they weren't so they could charge me full price, or they just haven't been replacing tires at all. If I could give negative stars, I would! I came here over two weeks ago to get my tires rotated, an oil change, and new wiper blades. After two hours I was called and told that I needed two new tires. I said that was ok and to go ahead. 3 more hours later, I walked back over to Goodyear to check on progress (I was reading in Barnes and Nobles) and I find out the tires are not in stock, but the oil change has been completed for 30 dollars more than the quoted price due to 1/10th of a quart needed to fill my oil. The wiper blades did not get changed and the tires of course did not get rotated or replaced. 5 hours for an overpriced oil change (more than quoted). Fast forward two weeks and I called back to find out if my tires were in. I figured they had just had an off day and I still l needed the tires for a truck that is used mostly by my son and I want him to be safe. I had used this location for another vehicle with no issues, but that was years ago. I was assured I should bring my truck back in today at 10 a.m. and they were sorry for the confusion and poor service. It is now 3 hours later and my truck is still sitting in the parking lot waiting to be serviced. I did NOT request the 10 a.m. appt, I was told it was an available time. What is the point of an appt? Goodyear had an opportunity to recover from the prior bad service, yet did not. I took my keys and left after being told it would be at least another two hours. i brought my car in because the engine light was on- there was a sloshing sound when i started the car- and the exhaust was blowing white smoke- after paying for a full diagnostic- i was told my water pump was leaking- over $2000 in repairs. on their paperwork the mileage in and out was the exact same meaning they never test drove my car after repairs- i drove less than two miles and when i parked, water flooded out from under my car- i was not even using ac so i took a picture because i thought it was weird- a day later my entire engine blew disabling my car- we towed it back to goodyear just for them to tell us that a head gasket was blown and we would be 100% responsible for all repairs- this place is nothing but lowlife theifs- do not bring your vehicles here- my 2020 jeep with 70k miles is completely disabled now. prior to this incident my car never over heated- they never changed the thermostat which is proof- ive talked to multiple credible mechanics and all have claimed goodyear to be at fault- we will be taking legal action as well as contacting the bbb - and posting across all social media! they deleted my review on google. read more

While I was in the waiting room I saw the same man come out to each person in the waiting room to "show them what they found" with their vehicle. When it came to my car they told me I had a major leak in the oil housing and 2 other things and quoted me about $1200. Mind you I was there for an $80 oil change. First of all, I would love to give a BIG THANKS to Andy and Joel for helping my daughter & I on a Sunday afternoon. Was out shopping and as we r leaving I noticed the light on my dashboard. My daughter looked at the tires and told me we had a flat. Now, it's Sunday 4pm(yeah) everything closes early. I start panicking and googled tire places near me. Goodyear was around the corner so we walked over and explained to Andy what had happened. He was very nice enough to walk back to where my car was to c if he could help us inflate the tire. He did and we got it to a point where I could drive it over to the store. When we got there I spoke to Joel. I guess he already knew who I was cause of Andy. We went inside and by then the time was 4:50pm. I was truly panicking cause I just wanted my tire fixed and I knew they were closing soon. I was so relieved that they took me in at the last minute and finally got my tire fixed. They even took of $30 installation fee just to help me out. I brought in my Jeep for a screw in the tire. I was told that it wasn't able to be patched and I needed a new tire at $349. I called Airport Chrysler Jeep Dodge and they said they could get the tire for $281. So, I went there and they said it was an easy patch and only cost $40. Sorry excuses of mechanics: My car would overheat when it was stationary but not when it's moving and them knowing this, replaced 2 hoses, a cap, and required me to do a coolant flush. 2 days later my car is smoking with the reservoir cap OFF, old radiator cap UNDER MY HOOD NEXT TO THE NEW ONE, AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, MY TOP HOSE WAS NO LONGER ATTACHED TO MY RADIATOR, making all the coolant leak out of the radiator and letting it almost explode. All accompanied by horrendous prices of course. read more

Upon noticing a screw in my tire after hours I parked my car in their lot and got a ride home. Booked an appointment online for the next morning for a tire patch (free if they can patch it!). I was dropped off at the shop that morning to check in for my appointment and provide my key. The lobby isn't very cozy and the TV is blaring. Despite that I was able to log on to the free wifi and use one of the high top tables to plug in my laptop to get some work done while I waited. Plenty of space if anyone else needed to do the same. I called Goodyear on 8/9/2023 to get pricing information and set an appointment that was set for the next day. I took car in on 8/10/2023 at 1:15 pm for an oil change. They know I'm waiting so I go sit in the waiting area. After 4 pm, I'm called to check out. I complain about the amount of time that I've had to sit here and I had an appointment. He acts as if he doesn't know anything about an appointment and they have my check-in time at a much later time so that it looks like I haven't been there as long as I actually had. To add insult to injury, the price is no where near the discussed price. The guy was basically like well I don't know who you talked to. Then I showed him that the quoted price was the same price online. He tells me that the extra fee was for oil beyond the 5 quarts, my engine takes 5.1 quarts. Are you telling me the an additional 0.1 quarts takes the advertised price of 64.99 + tax to 99.99 + tax? He never did actually explain to me why I was being overcharged. Plus they advertise free tire rotation with oil change services and I didn't get that either. The free tire rotation was one of the selling points that made me choose them over others. I left with my back hurting from sitting in that chair for so long, angry for being cheated and overcharged and down right pissed that after all that they didn't even rotate my darn tires. Every time I come here it's bad. They can never fix an issue the day of, I always find myself waiting at the very least one day, yet other guests (clearly without an appointment as well) are helped right away. They are the typical corporate auto shop-- the goal is to sell you on things you don't need. Or maybe that's just cause I'm a woman, who knows. If you have three to five business days to wait for a new tire, this is the spot for you. I have to come back and update this because it's always a terrible experience here. I was out of options as I have a flat and this place is directly across the street, I come in with a flat in the pouring rain and they tell me my tire doesn't look flat so it must be fine. Great service here! I came in with a flat tire and found out it was a hole in the side wall of the tire (meaning I needed a new tire). ~groan~ It was going to be that kind of Monday... I got an estimate from James, who was incredibly friendly and came out right away to help me out. I'll admit I went to Sears just down the road for a second estimate and was so turned off by their lack of service that I returned to James at Goodyear. He took care of everything and was a total gentleman. I went back the next day to get the new tire put on my car and this time Chris helped me out. He chatted with me the whole time and it made the time pass faster. He also came to my car and taught me how to reset the tire pressure light for next time. I ended up leaving with a great experience and they discounted a ton for me since it was a new car. I'll definitely be coming straight here next time (hopefully there isn't a next time though!). read more

In all, this location is really good. This is the second time I have been here. The first time was this time last year for two new tires. This time I came in to replace my other tires, all the brakes, and get an alignment. As with everything, there is the good and the bad. Let's start with good! All of the staff was extremely professional and friendly. They frequently came in to provide updates on progress. Also, they do have a TV in their waiting room (nice if you have to wait). Now for the not so great things. I had an appointment. Even with that, the repair still took over 4 hours to be completed. They told me the brakes were giving them some problems, but even with that I don't feel as though it should have been such a long process. Mostly, what bothered me the most, was they didn't give me a finished product back. After all the work done, they left the mess for me to clean (see the photo). I could have gone back and had them finish their work properly, but I was too tired is wasting my Saturday sitting in their lobby. read more

DO NOT FULFILL ALL DUTIES OF OIL CHANGE (like turn off service light, leave sticker, clean car) This store can not get its act together. I was loyal to them for several visits because the associate at the front desk, Andy, was so pleasant and helpful. But time and time again they disappoint. Initially they put the wrong tires on my car and the car kept needing an alignment repeatedly. After 4 consecutive alignments they finally figured out that the tires were the wrong size and replaced then. That was good and I stuck with them. BUT every time you are there it takes forever. Your car is never ready when it is suppose to be. I scheduled an oil change 5 days in advance, dropped off my car at scheduled time, called to make sure it was ready and was told it would be at X time, go to pick the car up at closing and IT STILL not done at closing time! After I have wasted my Sunday leaving my car at this shop for hours (mind you I had an appointment) and waiting for drop off/pick up and it STILL not be ready at store closing time I was done with them. read more
