Wow, This Costco is one of the best stores we have EVER shopped. We drove to the edge of the earth, because this was one of the few stores that were carrying a wine we wished to give as a gift for Christmas. Well, Adam in the wine department did not disappoint. He helped us find our wine choice and also offered some other excellent choices for a great price...best bang for your buck. Thanks Adam, you Rocked it!!!!! It's always amazing how each store has different finds. We also picked up a multi sample set of spices by Kinder, which made the Chef in me very happy along with a set of cast iron enamel Dutch-ovens. read more

I was in the self checkout line today at around 1:30. I accidentally took the wrong card out quickly to do the "pre-scan" absent minded on my part I will admit. However, the brown haired woman in the self checkout line came over to fix it and she abruptly snapped at me when I tried to scan the right one snapping , "hold on! "Like she was completely frustrated with me. And then she decided to continue on by slamming my items in the cart like she was completely impatient and annoyed with me. She clearly had an issue with me, so I complained to the manager. I won't be going to this particular location anymore. read more

I'm a Costco symbiote. What's that you say? I have a relationship with several Costco Groupies. As a result I get to enjoy their products. For example,this brand spanking new larger than life location just opened. As it happens I was going to be at my daughter's home around dinner time and she had just been shopping at the new store. She served the Mission Hill Bistro Smoked Sliced Brisket and it blew me away! The quality and preparation are exceptional. I just couldn't believe it and made a pig of myself eating slice after slice. My daughter showed tremendous courage serving this as,she grew up on my Backyard Texas Smoked brisket! Looking for a couple of items and staff directed us to the wrong area. After shopping for most of our items, I asked an associate (always ask the ones in the black tops, not the red vests) and she looked up the item on her phone and found it at the McKinney store. At least she didn't send us on a wild goose chase like the others. BUT, the worst part of this Costco was the messy restrooms, toilet paper on the floor, the full trash cans AND the dirty tables and floors at the food court and the full trash cans there, too! You know they're making money so why can't they hire someone to clean the place? read more

I'm absolutely super duper thrilled that a new Costco has opened in Allen, Texas! Now I can finally buy all the family staples in bulk without making a trip to Plano or McKinney. Eggs, toilet paper, paper towels, fruits, vegetables--you name it, they've got it, and at prices that won't have my wallet running for the hills. Their selection of TVs and electronics is impressive too--I might need a second home just to keep up with my growing shopping list! I feel like I always need to leave with a TV... LOL Shopping at Costco in Allen feels like hitting the jackpot: everything you need and more, all in one convenient location. The store is bustling, no doubt about that, but I've noticed that everyone working there seems genuinely happy. It's clear that positive vibes are contagious--they're friendly, helpful, and ready to assist with a smile. That kind of customer service makes you feel appreciated, even when the aisles are crowded! And let's talk about the fast food court, it's pretty sweet! Their pizza slices and whole pizzas are a hit with the family (and let's be honest, adults love them too). The hot dogs? Practically legendary. Having a mini food court in your neighborhood means you can grab a quick, delicious snack without leaving the store--perfect for those busy weekends or an afternoon treat. Of course, it's hard to ignore the crowds, but honestly, everyone just seems cheerful. It's like a Costco family gathering--everyone's happy to be there, and that good energy makes shopping so much more enjoyable. I swear I saw more smiles than shopping carts. My wife and I have a few items that are must haves and run out every couple weeks. These range from snacks to protein bars, and Costco always accommodates. I have not yet looked for anything that I an not able to find, so I no longer need to visit the Costco's that are farther. I think its a fair mention that I will only buy my gas at Costco. The savings on gas pretty much pay for the membership. While there's a line sometimes, its WELL WORTH THE WAIT. All in all, this new Costco is a game-changer for Allen residents. Great prices, friendly staff, fantastic food, and that lively, positive atmosphere make it a place I'll be visiting often. Ice cream is consistently out of stock on almost every Sunday afternoon for over a month now. It appears that Costco's stock planning is inadequate. Interestingly, other Costco locations in the area don't face this issue. read more

Love the new Allen Costco! It's technically about the same travel-time-wise from my house as the East Plano warehouse, but the Allen warehouse is much less crowded and it's certainly easier to find good parking, especially around the times we tend to go. Love that there are also way more gas station pumps at this location - every time I've gone to get gas, I've never had to wait for a spot. Can't wait to come back for the affordable bulk groceries & the food court! read more

OK, weekday. Much better day for seasoned citizens to go to any Costco. Just slightly less crowded. This company has got the business for getting customers. Smart stuff. We got all but one item we came for and customer service helped us find that item at other stores. Layout is similar to other stores just not everything is exactly in same place. See photos. Halloween stuff is already out on display. Taking care of customers are important to Costco. At front entrance customer was moving basket of blueberries which came open and scattered portion of contents on ground. Staff noted this and bought out broom/dustpan right away and then industrial floor cleaner. All fixed in 5. Coca-Cola drinks now in food court. read more

February 16, around 2 PM, was the day Costco permanently lost our business. My family has shopped at this location weekly, and my mother has been a paying member for months. Today she used self-checkout for the first time and followed the instructions displayed on the device. One item out of eight apparently did not scan -- a routine self-checkout error that happens in every store. Instead of addressing it immediately or discreetly, the employee watched her finish, waited until she was about to leave, then stopped her in front of others and treated her as if she had intentionally tried to steal. He went so far as to take her receipt and record the number on it, as if this harmless, clearly accidental oversight needed to be "documented" like an incident. This unnecessary escalation only deepened the humiliation. This wasn't loss prevention. This was humiliation. No apology, no professionalism, and no respect for a paying member who shops there weekly -- just suspicion and embarrassment over a trivial error caused by your own self-checkout system. We will be canceling our membership and will not be returning. Plenty of retailers manage to protect their inventory without publicly shaming their customers. This was unacceptable conduct from staff and a complete failure of customer care. read more

I'd like to sincerely thank a wonderful Costco employee who went above and beyond to assist a disabled friend during our recent visit. I think her name tag said Rani (hope I got that right) and she was working at the soy milk sampling station. After he accidentally spilled a sample drink on the floor, she stepped in immediately to help us with warmth and patience. She turned an embarrassing moment into one of care and compassion in a busy retail setting, and we left feeling incredibly grateful. Costco is lucky to have someone like you. This new location has friendliest and very helpful staff. Excellent tire center service, as well. Joe called to set up an appointment efficiently and was able to accommodate. They did a great job on my car and communication was fantastic thanks to Joe and the automotive team. Generally this Costco is exceptional and so happy it has opened up. read more

Wow, not impressed by prices or options. The veggie area disappointed. Not much selection and what they had didn't look fresh. Poor wine choices and not impressed by the clothing. Looks like a place to get large quantities of sweet and salty snacks. read more

Never any staff to help, products are more expensive now, food samples cause annoying main aisle clogs, stopped buying paper products which are no cheaper than Walmart's. I still go for better quality meat but just stopped going for the Kirkland coffee I've purchased for years because the quality has gone way down. Bulk items I generally pass up due to small household. Never any women's apparel in sizes small and medium. I 'm wondering if I should keep my membership. read more

Food and drinks were terrible. Frozen coffee was just foam. Also, the self checkout scanners had issues and were very backed up.
