Have never been the biggest fan of costco always felt like their selection was small compared to your average grocery store but yk not everything comes in bulk and the personality of the workers isn't always friendly but today 8/27/26 one person changed my entire experience she was a cashier today named Patty she made the effort to be extraordinary and have a conversation that wasn't so transactional hoping all the best for her truly thank you for changing my views on costco :) read more

Your classic Costco experience. The workers are always friendly and helpful, and the store is packed with bulk items that are genuinely worth it. You can find everything from food to home essentials all in one place. Prices have gone up a bit over the years, but honestly, I still think it's worth it. read more

Incident on Sunday 5/3/2026 a week before Mother's Day around 5:40ish pm. Supervisor training needs to be improved. Ivan and the gang's 1 Caucasian and 1 Hispanic boy needs to be place in other departments, where they don't have to deal 1:1 with human; they have no idea how to treat the 50 yrs old Asian female who shops by herself. I came to do charge back 2 days after the transaction because the cashier overcharge and the door checker missed it. Ivan snapped the executive membership/Citi credit card from my hand without asking. Please review the video, I bet if my Caucasian 6 ft tall 175 lbs husband with me , he wouldn't do that kind of behavior. I spent $8K a year, rarely do returns. If I do return, it's UNOPENED items. I close my executive membership after 8 years asap after the incident. Bye Bye Bye!!! read more

Paying a membership fee to be racially profiled at the exit door has to be at a very least comical. Less than 10 items, scrutinized by the blunt door guy back and forth in search of the "gotcha" meanwhile a parade of at least 10 people checked, quick glance at cart or sometimes not even that, and smiled on the other line. All of the them staring back, probably thinking I stole something, probably the most ridiculous part. I completely get the checking items and counting and it's been done before with me in a decent non accusatory feeling. Been coming at least 5 years! But at least lady at welcome door was very nice and greeting. I'm just really fatigued, the fatigue is real. read more

You cannot go wrong at Costco. They sell high quality goods in bulk packages. We shop here regularly for so many staples at great prices. Costco is very picky about the brands they stock to make it easy for you. If they sell it, most likely it's good. Costco rotates brands sometimes so don't expect your favorite product to stick around forever. Costco is the millionaire's Wal-mart. Some (not all) of the items tend to be high-quality or designed for large houses (e.g. a huge wreath for the front door) and buying items in bulk is more practical if you have a large house with lots of storage space. But everyone can enjoy shopping here. The large package sizes are obviously helpful for families. Even couples or singles can benefit from Costco sizes, though - the trick is to shop for non-perishable goods (toothbrushes, vitamins, pantry items) or stock up for parties. It's a bit of a madhouse if you go on weekends, but you get free samples. Costco also has online deals, and they sell jewelry and electronics too. I LOVE Costco's returns: no-receipt no-questions-asked for 12 months policy. You decide you don't like it, it goes bad early, return it for your money back even if open. It makes shopping here low-risk. I have had memberships both at Costco and Sams and greatly prefer Costco. read more

Traffic and parking's pretty terrible here. It's to the point that whenever I come, I just head straight to the furthest space available because there is always the Karens who just must wait for a closer spot backing up the traffic. Selection and choices inside are pretty solid for the most part. Tiramisu cakes here is almost seasonal. You never know when they'll have it. It's always the disappointing tuxedo and other lesser cakes in stock. Samples are great during lunch time rush. It's just the rude and selfish people whom either cut in line or take entire plate of samples when it's their turn. We could do with less of those patrons. If you decide to do tire service here, prepare for very long wait time even with an appointment. Also gas station line is incredibly long too. Otherwise, all the staffers are very cordial and courteous. read more

The customer service is the worst of all the Costco I've ever been. The customer in front of me has a disagreement with the coupon she had on hand. A supervisor named Derek in a red vest came over and started to argue with that customer holding up the line for more than 15 minutes. I asked politely to ask the cashier Brian to ring me up being that I had an upcoming doctor's appointment and needed to get out. Derek rudely pointed me and yelled at me " you need to wait" I felt embarrassed and saddened. I would never recommend anyone to shop at this location. He was unprofessional and needs more training. I'm thinking of shopping at Sam's Club from now on. read more

Saturday at noon and you are extremely understaffed? Tons of workers just standing around? The sample people aren't set up yet? Costco - Food court - Wholesale Stores Near Me - Plano, Texas

Love me some Costco, but this location has lots of complaints about customer service! We will never shop at this location ever again. My friend and I were shopping together and we had an extra basket of items we needed a separate receipt for book keeping purposes. This employee came over and was very pushy and told us we could only have one receipt. What?!! lol! Ringing separate receipts require too much time he says. We tried to explain, but he had no part of it and interrupted us and said, let me get your supervisor ...like we were being difficult. Truly, the amount of time for his rudeness was taking up more time, we could've rung up our purchases and then on our way. Note to self, go to the Chuchhill Store! Why has customer service gone out the window??! read more

I love Costco, but who doesn't?!!?! They always have great item selections, low prices, $1.50 hot dogs combo, cute Squishmallow plushies, great customer service, and free samples! I've been to different ones in Dallas but this one is my favorite. The store is ALWAYS packed, so it might take time to find parking. I went during lunch break once at 1 PM and it was still packed. They have a wide range of items and who else can beat their pack of 40 water bottles? The items are rotated occasionally so I do make the trip to visit at least once a week, especially when my Squishmallow is back in stock. Getting a membership is worth it because it'll save you so much money on items you use or eat a lot. Their rotisserie chicken is a must for my boyfriend because it'll feed him for a couple of meals. I recently found a cute Woozoo fan for $40 when online prices are $60. They have great prices on a lot of items but double-check sometimes. The annual membership is only $60, but if you have a big family and shop here all the time, then I'd recommend their executive membership ($120) which gives you cash back at the end of the year. I've been a Costco shopper since 2018 and I love it! Never a bad experience at any location honestly. read more

The Costco in Texas is in reverse on the layout of their floor room. The frozen goods are on the right where LA has frozen goods located often on the left. It's very subtly different. Their self checkout is scanned for you as you were in regular checkout for a self checkout kiosk. read more

I do love Costco. I absolutely hate the parking lot. It is a madhouse. Good luck, finding a parking spot anywhere near the entrance, or even getting into the parking lotat some times of the day. Inside can be just as bad or OK, it used to be that you could go around 4 o'clock in the afternoon and it would be less crowded. Last time I went it was just as crowded as always at that time. They have a huge selection of everything you can think of, and the prices are great When it's time to check out, they are very fast and efficient or once you finally get to the front of the line The rotisserie chicken is the best around. It's also a big chicken. I only give it four stars because of how crowded it is and difficult to get around Inside or out I do have to say that I went for a battery the other day for my vehicle, online stated they had it. So I felt all the crowds to go in and buy it only to be told they didn't have any in stock that would fit my vehicle. None at all read more

This store is a zoo. I don't think there is any day of the week where this place is not slammed. I try to park as far as possible because the closer you are to the store, the more time you are wasting searching for a spot, as well as avoiding clueless pedestrians and unaware drivers! The workers here are friend, place is clean, and the floor is well stocked. The gas station is a hit or a miss. I'd avoid coming here on the weekends because the line is so long! Tire Center: Appointments were easy to find on the Tire Center website. Thankfully, I did not have to make an appointment months in advance like I did when I lived in Chicago! I was due for my 10K miles rotation anyway (free with tire purchase from Costco), and my tire pressure indicator went off recently. This is the one stop shop to get my tire woes taken care of. The people working at the Tire Center were kind and got my tires rotated, filled with nitrogen, and my tire pressure monitoring sensor replaced. The whole process took about 35 minutes or so. They give you a call when your vehicle is ready for pick-up. read more

Customer service recently has dropped significantly. It used to be a pleasant time shopping here but yesterday I was there and right at the entrance the staff there was very unfriendly and glared at me. The next staff made a curt and rude remark when I was looking at men's shirts. The other 2 interactions at the check out and exit was pleasant. Costco team members used to be very nice and professional. Either they have hired people who think retail is beneath them or there is an issue with the management at the location. read more

Customer service is horrible at this location and instead of listening to the concern, they try lecture you. Whats worse is that they make you feel like a criminal bc one of us forgot our membership card. Apparently, you cannot use a credit card of another member to pay for it, even though we are both members. They try to use the driver's license analogy that we cannot share a driver license. Well, not shit, its not the same since Costco allow two members listed under one membership. How is that the same as having a driver's license? The system seems to have no issue taking my money. No wonder why they are always back up at the register. read more

I am a Costco F. A. double N - FAN! Unfortunately, in the last couple of years, MANY of their prices are not as competitive as they used to be. But, that is not a problem for this particular location...so the stars didn't affect it. This location seriously needs something...bigger space? More parking? Bigger auto-service section and AWAY from the front door? All three? I say yes! Maybe add another location that is not so far away. This one is uber crowded, customers are moody because the isles are not as functional due to the crowding, employees doing the samples are moody because they have limited space and are bombarded with crowds and moody people, and the lines are re-dic-U-lous no matter when you go. The food court and sitting area are uber small for the size community that it serves, it is really better to hit up another location. Nothing personal, guys...it's not like you don't know its true. (Unbiased books would be a great feature item as well, but hey, gotta throw that in there somewhere). No room to even take a pic...hmm read more

so this morning I had an encounter with one of her the cashier's assistant. Her name is Jeanie btw, no saying hello no greeting from both of them to begin with considering they had no one before me just chatting with each other. first response I got from the assistant was 'put the items on the belt'. with a straight face. I was a little confused by that isn't her job to assist me with putting my groceries on the belt? but i helped anyone. I usually help when I purchase a lot of stuff, but since I only got few light-weighted items so i left them in my shopping cart, then I noticed the guy behind me got many items heavy items too, but she didn't ask or order him to put the stuff on the belt like she did to me!! I started wondering why??! why do I receive special treatment??! Is it because I am Asian and that guy is white?! I felt sad and offended considering I always had good experience when I shopped at this Costco. Everyone seems nice. Back to my car, I called the store and talked to the assistant manager Casey. I explained to him what happened and he quickly apologized to me for her behavior and promised me he will talk to her. He said maybe she is in a bad mood this morning, hey no excuse, this is clearly not caused by her mood, maybe she is irritated with me because I am Asian? Anyway, I hope she will be nice to her asian customers after talking to her boss. We have a big Asian community in north Dallas area and I don't wish anyone to suffer and get special treatment when they meet her at the line. Also, speak up when you can, no one should tolerate any bad behavior. it's nice that they answered the phone so quickly. read more

Do not redeem a Costco gift card here. I went to this store near Parker and 75 in Plano on October 9, 2023 after work around 5:30 PM. The supervisor came over to the check out to do a bizarre promotion to try to force me to join the club. I said no thank you a few times and not interested. He began yelling at me. He yelled the rest of the promotion. This supervisor has impulse issues. It was embarrassing for the cashiers and customers nearby. My cashier was named Joe, and he was speechless. Per Yelp rules I have to give at least one star minimum. I was definitely being intimidated by this young inexperienced supervisor that feels overly entitled with rage issues. What can i say? I appreciate the gas discount. Costco is almost always cheaper than any other place. Also, this location along 75 is cheaper than the dallas tollway location like...80% of the time. this location definitely has more traffic though. the gas station opens before the store itself, and stays open later as well. the best time to come are early or late during the week. the weekend is ridiculous!!! cars absolutely EVERYWHERE! there's been a couple times where they've run out of regular unleaded, but the attendant informed me that they're honoring the regular unleaded price for the premium gas which is nice. the pumps have a long extension and are long enough to reach the other side of most cars. I like to get into the shortest line regardless of whether the pump is on the left or right because i know that i'll be able to reach either way with the long hose. tip: if the gas truck is there, get into the line closest to the truck. the truck usually blocks the far lane, so the line closest to the truck usually splits into both sides which makes the line go faster! read more

I agree wholeheartedly with the reviews concerning the customer service. I always loved the customer service Costco provides, but this location Miss Ranice or Karen really is extremely rude and unprofessional. I brought an LG tv in April and when we took it out the box to hang it up, the inside of the screen was cracked. So we brought it back the next day, she claimed that we it wasn't our fault because there were fingerprints on the screen. Yes m'am when it was put up my boyfriend and his friend did not wear gloves. She made me very uncomfortable and took 30 minutes with 4 employees turning it on and off, as if I wanted to go back there again and borrow another truck just to bring back that tv? Besides per their return policy it is 90 days and even the worker there said it happens when shipping then being put on display. There was no need for her to accuse us of doing something as if we have time to just mess around and bring a 75 inch tv back. She also assisted me today and was dismissive and rude, i lost my membership card there was no need for her to bend my ID back and forth. It's disheartening that is now my experience I have dealt with Costco. I am considering driving a little further to not have to deal with a Karen manager read more

Um yes we love Costco! Plenty of parking * Giant carts big enough to contain my little ones * Friendly and super helpful employees * Great deals * and our favorite part... SAMPLES!!! Oh and the $2 hot dog + soda This is the only grocery shopping trip both of my boys love coming with me. They chant "Costco, Costco, Costco" all the way there and into the place. In between actually picking up things I need we hunt for samples and indulge on delicious freebies. And on occasion, if we haven't filled up on samples, we'll grab a hot dog or slice of pizza on our way out. We originally joined Costco because you automatically get a HUGE discount (we got $4000 off) on cars (at the dealership) simply by having a membership. Since having it we've purchased Christmas gifts, birthday gifts, clothes, security camera systems, towels, food of course, outdoor patio furniture and so much more. I never imagined myself saying this before, but I love going to Costco. I have been to three other locations in the Dallas area however this one is my favorite. It's only about a 15 min drive from Allen TX. Inside it is bright, welcoming, well organized and almost always stocked. The customer service is generally good and the return policy is excellent. They always assist with carrying or bringing down larger or heavier items. So having a Costco membership is really worth every penny because there are some things you cannot get a better deal on elsewhere. The quantity is big but even if you don't have a large family, things like paper towels, toilet paper, eggs, butter, detergent etc is much cost friendly if you buy them from here. And if you have the executive membership then you get 2% rewards back. So depending on your spending habits, you can end up getting the member fee paid through the rewards. Tonight, I went in to get a few things I ran out of like 2% organic milk, eggs(usually get the organic ones), chips, water, bread and toilet paper I also filled up the car with gas( $ always lower than other competitors). My only fear walking into the store is when my 4 yr old spots the toy section and always demands a toy lol. But even their toys are better in quality and price than most stores. Fortunately we managed to walk out tonight without purchasing any toys which there were tons of for the holiday season. Shopping for groceries or essentials are usually not a fun task but if you ever end up going to the Costco at Plano TX on N. Central Expressway you will surely have a good experience. Only suggestion would be to have your door monitors/greeters at the entrance to check everyone's membership card and not randomly ask people for it. read more
