I love Costco! I have been a member since it was Price Club. They sample most of there food products so you can see if you like it or not before committing to buying it in bulk. They have great quality in there products. I have bought clothing, tires, food, cleaning products.... You name it, if they sell it I have probably bought it or at least considered it. They also have a great return policy. You don't have to have your reciept and they will refund you with store credit. The eye department is top notch as well. I have gotten eye exams through them and bought contacts for years. read more

We went here to buy one of their gazebos since our deck presently looks more like a helipad. They were all so super nice and helped us lug it off the display and make sure we had help packing it in our SUV. Prices as always, fabulous! Their cashiers must have lighting speed capabilities because I've never been to a Costco that can shorten lines faster than this location. read more

I hate everything about Costco, but my dog likes the dog food there, so off I go. Let's start with the shopping carts. They are sized for giants. Try wielding one when you are 5' tall. I can't even see over the handle. Happy to see disinfectant wipes at the front door though, so at least that handle is clean. Let's talk about the Sunday strolling shoppers who are oblivious to the fact that there are hundreds if not thousands of others around them. They are mid-aisle, stopped or moving at a snail's pace, and, of course, loitering while they try the samples without a thought to leaving that over-sized cart in the middle of everything. Time to check out? Well the staff is nice enough, but when you load dozens of heavy items in a box, I can't lift it out of the giant cart and into my car. And while the check out lines are scary long, that second treat of a line when they review your items against the receipt is utterly ridiculous. How exactly would I add items to the cart post-check out? Yes, there are some wonderful products there, and the prices are great, but PLEASE add some additional shopping hours -- something/anything to spread out the masses. read more

The store is wonderful. The meat selection and rotisserie chicken is outstanding. The selection varies from season to season. However, my only complaint is about the snack bar. They used to grill their hot dogs and polish sausage. Now they take them out of a barely warm enough water trough and put them on the bun. Besides being a backwards way of serving hot dogs. I am usually doubled over the next morning with symptoms of mild food poisoning. This has happened four times. The day before each incident, I had a Costco dog. Yesterday's sausage did not even feel hot or warm for that matter. Until I see the hot dogs on the grill, I'm done. Be sure to research the calorie count. NOTE: It's pumpkin pie season. This Costco has really gone down hill. We used to love coming here but it seems that now it's nearly impossible to get out of the store without some sort of issue. Their checkouts seem to be understaffed any time I visit with waits that are just unacceptable. The last 5 visits I've made included items being missed on 2 separate occasions meaning you get held up at the door waiting for a manager while everyone behind you also waits (as you probably know, you can't exit without them checking your cart and receipt. If you're held up, so is everyone else behind you). Light bulbs I bought were dropped into my cart and then the person tried to stand them on their side in the cart 3 different times for some reason only to have them fall over each time... The last time she didn't notice and dropped the 8 pound pack of ribs right on top of them. It looked like some sort of slapstick comedy routine only I wasn't laughing. The previous visit required me to go back to the customer service counter for an item that I was over charged for ( this has happened several times though it's usually not enough for me to bother with. This time it was 4 or 5 bucks so I did). If this had been my only time at customer service, I might give them an extra star because they actually refunded the money even though the sale price had ended ( they did forget to take the sale price though which is why they honored it). On other occasions though, customer service has been a disaster; waiting 35 minutes to get a rebate check cut... Getting absolutely NO help when their ATM didn't dispense my cash though the receipt said it did. Now, the ATM is owned by someone else so I don't blame Costco for that but customer service did tell me it wasn't the first time it had happened that day and that they'd put an "out of order" sign on it. 45 minutes later when I was done with my shopping? No sign. I made one and put it up myself. As others have mentioned, stock is hit and miss. You can't count on anything you want being in stock... It's pretty embarrassing when you buy gift cards for Christmas presents that get turned down at the restaurant (Fortunately I'd only given 3 of the 4 and used the remaining one myself before anyone else had tried to use theirs... I was able to get them back before each of my kids embarrassed themselves trying to use them). It's just become a major chore to shop here. I have to really psych myself up before I go because I know it's going to take twice as long as it should and I'm going to leave annoyed because they're going to screw SOMETHING up here. I hate to have to drive so much farther to go to a different store but I think I'm going to have to do that... At least until my annual rebates come through and I can cancel the membership. read more

I would not recommend this Costco employees are very rude here . This store is not very good at informing customers. I went in this store on March 16th took my elderly mother to get toilet paper at 10 AM still in the store for two hours in line waiting to get her and I toilet paper got in a disagreement with another customer that would not mind his own business at this point is very frustrated but got my toilet paper as I waited and waited with my elderly mother and I to pay for the toilet paper as I approach the cashier finally get there and the cashier says are you two on the same account when we were both paying separate and the toilet paper was going to a different household she takes the toilet paper away from me and does not let me purchase it after waiting hours if this was a case that you could only buy one pack of toilet paper per member they should specify this. There should have been signs that you could only purchase one pack of toilet paper per membership I've been to the store on several occasions trying to purchase things and they are very very rude I am so disappointed in the store and Costco I will never renew my membership again after it's over I will switch to Sam's Club after being so stressed about the virus and this to happen and made my day so upsetting .Not to say my elderly mother was so stressed out you people need to learn how to inform your customers better on the rules of your store so disgusting that they would not make one exception after standing in the store for hours for a pack of toilet. paper I will never shop at your store again. read more

I love Costco in general, and this one is no exception. I have been a member for years and I love the quality of their products and the company's ethics. I am currently an executive member, but I go back and forth on if it's worth the additional cost. I always try to buy costco when possible... I even buy my dog food here. Love it! read more

The Superior Costco is closer to me, but I will drive the extra four miles to go to this Costco just for the staff. They are so friendly and kind; specifically in the returns department; they don't make you feel like you've done something wrong when you need to return something. This store also has a liquor store attached. Convenient! read more

Sorry my phone rang at the same time the credit card machine started beeping to remove my card. I declined the call so I could finish up my sale and remove my card. This place is awesome with an awesome staff. Was in there last night to get a few things. Noticed a lady checking out and had some Lysol spray in her cart. I asked her where she found it to which she replied "towards the back but this was the last one". Darn, missed it. While I was checking out she came up to me and gave me her Lysol. I was shocked and asked if she was sure. I didn't want to take it from her. She insisted and said that she worked there and that she will try to get another one later. This was so nice. While off duty she still represented her store with such kindness. Little did she know that I have a little one at home with medical issues that require her to take immunosuppressants that lower her immune system. We normally have a ton of Lysol spray, wipes and hand sanitizer before Covid. As we all know Lysol spray has been near impossible to find and we had run out a little while ago and this lovely lady gave me hers. I wish I got her name. Either way the management staff should congratulate the staff for their kindness and empathy. read more

We LOVE our Larkridge Costco store! There is another Costco closer to us that I shop at pretty regularly but this particular location I've been told is a "test market" for new products so they often have things I can't get anywhere else. I have a family of 5 and we shop here about every 2 weeks. I sometimes pop in more often for a few fresh produce items. I almost don't shop anywhere else, except for specialty/ethnic items. My favorite thing about Costco is that on a corporate level they have very good business practices, they treat their employees fairly and pay them well, they have good relationships with quality vendors, and they strive for sustainability all along the supply chain. Can't say that about Sam's! Sometimes things like meat will be a little higher priced at Costco than at Kings or Target, but I've noticed that their meats don't shrink near as much when cooked. That indicates that they aren't pumped full of brine to make them appear fresher and bigger than they really are. I'm happy to pay a higher price for actual food, not salt water. I recently ordered my eye glasses from Costco, where I was able to get designer (Armani) frames, and Transitions lenses, for less than what my eye doc wanted to charge me for no-name ugly frames and plain plastic lenses. RX prices are consistently less than anywhere else, helpful when you have a high deductible health plan like us. I have the executive membership which easily pays for itself and then some, every year. To the reviewer who is probably referring to me when he railed on "Duggar types" with "rhinocerous sized carts"...hey, if you're behind me in line and you want to go ahead, just ask! I probably don't notice you because I'm too busy being a responsible, attentive parent. read more

Got a Costco membership for the 1st time and went shopping at this location in Thornton. I was very excited, all the stuff in bulk, eventhough they didn't have Velveeta Shells n Cheese which was a main item I went for I let it go. The cashier that checked us out was VERY rude. We both have our own card and wanted to pay for our own food seperately since we have different eating habits. The cashier got upset and made a big deal about it. Apparently, his First Bank Visa card isn't accepted by the Costco payment system, but the cashier just said "you can't use that card", and walked away to have a conversation with some woman leaving us there confused. We tried the card again, because it had the funds. The cashier came back with a raised voice and said "I told you, you can't use that card", and didn't offer an explanation until I pryed a little. Explaining WHY is apparently very difficult for some people. So, I said i'd pay the full amount with my check book and he rung up the rest of the stuff. As I am still writing the check, he literally grabbed it from my hand and asked me "Is your name and address pre-printed on the check", and I was upset at our poor treatment at this point and just said "no shi*, why wouldn't it be". We weren't too happy about having to stand there while he rang up the next person in line as a manager was "approving" my check. This morning we returned or $30 bag of rice, because it had bugs in it. I was shocked that the lady at the returns counter was actually very friendly, polite, and apologized for our bug filled bag. That did give Costo a couple points back, but we're still deciding if we ever want to return or just get our money back and stay with our normal grocery store(s) instead. read more

The warehouse itself is good, find good items at good prices. Taken off 1 stars due to bad customer service experience at the tire center. I called in to asked if my tires have arrived, he responded with no. When I said, when can I expect them, his response, "Whenever UPS delivers them!" He said it takes 6 business days and hangs up on me. Understandably, they are busy, but thats no way to treat a customer. Not a very good experience. I will most likely go to the Costco in Superior next time for my tires purchase. He was talking to me like he was doing me a favor by letting me talk to him. read more

I love Costco. They have high quality products at very good prices. I live equidistant from the Westminster and Thornton Costcos so we visit both. I thought the one in Thornton would be less busy but that doesn't seem to be the case. It seems like the Thornton store does carry some different products from the Westminster store as well. I go at least weekly to Costco. read more

I called the Thornton Costco looking for an item my grandson wants for Christmas. I was told no Costco in Denver-Metro had it. Then I called the online service, they were unable to help as their systems run independently. So disappointed I start to look for it online. Our grandson is 3 and it is all he talks about, since September. I then called the Westminster store thinking maybe I could find it with in a few hour drive. The gentleman I spoke to let me know there were 25 in one store and 8 in another within 20 minutes drive. (I would shop at the Westminster COSTCO as he was so apologetic and helpful!). I would expect this from Sams, Walmart, but Costco? That is disappointing, and not at all what I have come to expect from any experience I have had to date. Sad to see them slipping! I'm a Costco fan and have faith in the products they carry and that they'll back them up if/when necessary. However, I recently got a rude surprise when I purchased tires for my BMW M3 at the Thornton CO store. I rarely drive my M3 and you might call it a garage queen (my wife does) and it's kept tidy and I know every inch of it. I got new Michelin rear tires last weekend and came home and parked the car until this weekend when I washed it. Well my wheels were pristine last weekend when I washed and hand dried it before getting tires, today however I discovered that they had damaged one of my rear wheels with their tool when installing the tire on the wheel. Stuff happens, but what upset me is that they said nothing. Convieniently they had notated on the paper that there were scratches on the wheels, there weren't, but there sure is now gouges from the tool. The manager denied it when I went back today, my loss. Moral of the story, don't trust these guys with expensive wheels and if you just can't resist, take pictures of your wheels before and after and confront them IMMEDIATELY if you see damage. I'll revert back to a real tire/wheel store for these purchases as this is the first time I've ever had this experience. These guys are neither competent nor honest when it comes to tires. read more
