Had a really pleasant experience here yesterday. I bought some items to order for pickup. The store was big and filled nicely inside, it like the typical rundown sears. The store associate at tools was a very nice elderly gentleman who showed me where item pickup is. It's in a unmarked section of the store, a bit hard to find. The man working the pickup counter was very nice and helpful. He got my order all picked up and really in under 5 minutes. He made my experience so much better, since it was a bit deserted and hard to find. I'm so happy with the level of service. They have a ton of clothes too, and I head the auto center is nice. I really wanted to support Sears but I'm filled with regret. On 2/10/20 we went to Sears and tested out the mattresses. We found one we liked but decided to go check out a few other places. We came back a few hours later and the place was deserted. Typical, but there was a guy working earlier in the mattress department but he was now gone. We asked the one and only cashier for assistance in the mattress department. She paged for assistance but said there would probably be nobody to help us because the guy from that department was on lunch. We were set on buying 2 mattresses from Sears so we waited 30 minutes. We returned to the lone cahier and asked if anyone could help us and she said no. We told her we were ready to spend $3,600 on mattresses and just needed someone to ring us up. She told us there was nobody to help us. We asked if we should just go somewhere else and she said yes. Discouraged, we headed out. We passed an office and I saw 2 employees sitting there. I stuck my head in and asked if anyone was working the floor. A manager jumped up and said she could help us. She was worthless! She had no idea what she was doing. 30 minutes later the original mattress guy returned from his lunch and tried to save the day. Unfortunately, the beds were ringing up incorrectly. The employee paged the manager repeatedly for another 30 minutes until she finally returned his page. Move ahead to 2/19/20, we're supposed to receive a call when our order is ready for pickup on the 18th but no word. So, I call on the 19th and they tell us our order is ready. We drive 30 minutes to the distribution center to pick up our order. The employee automatically knows there's an issue. He said he unloaded the beds the day before and noticed one of the bed frames were missing and let his manager know. He said his manager said it wouldn't be an issue. He was very apologetic. Mistakes happen. Then we were told the bed frame wasn't available until 2/28/19. We asked for the bedframe to be delivered for free. We paid $3,600 for 2 beds and the manager threw a fit that we wanted one of the bedframes delivered for free. She finally agreed. Today, 2/28/20, our delivery time is between 6pm and 8pm. I receive a call from Jose the delivery man at 6:50am (way too early!) saying he can't deliver that late in the day and to text him an earlier time. I sent him a text at 8:35am saying between 4pm and 6pm would work. No response. I called him at 6:58pm and no response. It is now 8pm and no delivery. I called the distribution center at 8:05pm and spoke to Jeff. He told me delivery drivers were not allowed to alter deliver times outside of the two-hour window unless approved by the customer. I did approve an earlier delivery time but no response. I was told the driver had checked out for the day and someone would call me tomorrow to arrange another delivery date. I was surprised to see the overall score for this place, I mean not that surprised, because who shops at Sears anymore, but based on the service I was. This review is only for the tire center, as I have no actually shopped in the store. Raymond the sales man I interacted with was awesome. After being turned away by 3 different tire locations because they were "too busy this time of year" I stopped here because it was close to home. They were able to take my care without an appointment, and install the tires while I waited. I can't say that I'll start shopping at Sears based on this experience, but I would definitely bring my vehicle back for service. read more

Never buy appliances from Sears! Our refrigerator broke the end of June and it is under warranty. It is the end of October and we still DO NOT have replacement. They have now told us it will be delivered November 25. We will then be 5 months without a fridge. I am tired of running to the garage where we thankfully have an old fridge. Every time you call you are on hold for over an hour. We had ordered ours on line so not from this Sears, but I would stay away from Sears. No wonder they are going into bankruptcy. read more

Sears wins some stars because they are one of a few retailers that stock a wide variety of tools. Their cheapest tools are typically better than the "best" stuff at Home Depot. However, there is a reason Sears is struggling for relevancy. Their stores are understaffed and poorly laid out. We went to buy a car battery and look for a tool chest. There are tool chests scattered all over the tool department, with no apparent plan. It wound up being easier to sit in the parking lot and search for a battery by make and model, and walk in knowing exactly what I needed. One gets the impression that no one from corporate has ever tried to shop in the store, for a very long time. read more

We spent $8,000 10 years ago on Appliances. I've had nothing but issues with my stove and frig. I also purchased my washer and dryer from them. UGH!! My frig went out yesterday, I called for service and was told they would be out in 14 days to fix it. WHAT, so who goes 14 days without a frig. I found a local place who I have never spent a dime at, and they were at my home within 24 hours and fixed Sears frig. I will neve EVER purchase anything from Sears again. My name is Violet, I just recently called to see if the store was open. I drove by last week and it looked desolate and possibly it may have been closed. Well the woman who answered did not introduce herself first of all. Then I asked if the store was still open, and with immediate attitude and totally cut me off,YES!!! she replied. Then I was telling her how I wasn't sure because alot of stores have been closing, she just immediately hung up on me. I was just asking a question, there was no need to be rude. It just makes you feel terrible when you are nice and other people can come off rude right off the bat. Worst store ever. I always feel like I got ripped off when I leave there. I have been to this store 4 times. 2 times they scanned my items and they came up wrong. Then they argued with me. Then I went back and showed them what the sign said. Another time they charged me full price for an item that was on clearance. One of the for times I went, there was no issue. This place is sparse, it doesn't feel clean or well maintained. Had a good experience with the lady who sold us our cross trainer, had a terrible experience with the young man who was our cashier. When a pair of shorts came up over double the price it was on the rack for I protested, he simply balled them up and threw them under his register, I then indicated I wanted him to find the correct price he rolled his eyes, grabbed the shorts and literally stomped behind me as I led him to the clearly marked rack. On a different visit, my wife was looking at jewelry on sale and we counted eight associates in the area and in the fifteen minutes we were there not one asked if we needed help... 5 stars to the employee who located our online order and loaded it for us. He was a nice guy who helped a grumpy couple. -1 star for the silly pickup system. Scan your barcode, scan again, doesn't read, enter your order number (2 different numbers on order confirmation), now swipe your credit card....now wait time is 1.5hr. Good grief! Huge Sears out in the middle of nowhere, not much more shopping around. My experience with Sears has been horrible. I needed a new dishwasher and it took them six weeks to deliver one. It HAD issues from the beginning and could not be used (more hand washing dishes) as I waited another six weeks for a service person to come out....that service person said I needed a new dishwasher, which took another month to arrive. Two years later, my Kenmore Elite Dishwasher leaked all over my white oak floors, causing $10,000.00 in damages and Sears again wouldn't come out for a month....said a part from Whirlpool in their dishwasher caused the incident and told me to contact Whirlpool for damage repairs to my floors...waited another six weeks for Sears to fix my leaking dishwasher. This is the second bad experience I've had with Sears. Last Sunday I purchased an in-stock lawn mower. I wanted to pick it up on Wednesday and I was told when I did so that I would only have to wait five minutes for the mower to be loaded into my car. I returned on Wednesday and it was gone or it was sold with no others in their warehouse. After talking to the manager she never explained why my mower was not there. She offered to call a different Sears store and find another mower. After waiting and waiting around in the store finally I was told a mower should arrive on Friday. So my first attempt to pickup took about 40 minutes and I left empty-handed. On Thursday night I got a call from a Sears associate and he told me three mowers had arrived and that he put aside one for me with my name on it. I said I would pick it up on Friday night. When I arrived, the associate met me and apologized because my mower was gone and no others were left. The associate took me to the night manager who never once spoke to me or even acknowledged me. He instructed another associate to take care of it and then he walked away without any care or concern for my situation. I was left to take the floor model and as I departed the manager stood by and said not one word to me. After the first experience with the purchase of our defective Sears washing machine combined with this terrible experience, I will never again purchase a product from Sears. I understand that mistakes happen and people mess up. But for a store that should be bending over backwards to win over customers, my Sears experience demonstrates why this once-proud business is heading into extinction. I can only hope that the Craftsman mower I ended up works well when it comes time to cut our lawn this week. read more

I have being trying to get my fridge either fixed/replaced for months. Each time the technician stated he did not know what wrong. He left a screw out on the last appointment. I scheduled an appointment for November and kept getting messages to reschedule. I called twice in one week and they would confirm I had my appointment and someone would be there. Nobody ever showed up. I have asked for a number/email to speak with someone higher up and stated I would get a call back within an hour and never received a call. I bought the additional warranty which feels useless since it has taken months to get this fixed. I normally don't do reviews but I have had such a bad experience that I now do not want to purchase anything from Sears. At this point I just want my money back. read more

This was by far the worst customer experience I have ever encountered. We went to purchase a new stove and microwave did quite a bit of research on the product that I was choosing so honestly they just needed to ring us up. Well unfortunately that wasn't what happened. After 3 hours of being their we left with our microwave and set up our stove install for 3 weeks later. Fast forward to today, the day our stove is supposed to arrive. It didn't. I went in for an oil change and came home and found a HUGE oil leak on my garage floor. went back the next day, sears found their mistake, re-did the oil again... came home and had a oil leak now on my drive way! 2 oil changes in 3 days and it still leaks. Went to Brakes Plus and they fixed it, degreased my undercarage and my engine, They did offer to refund both ny oil changes from them and Brakes Plus. It took me 4 hours of my time with 3 oil changes in a week! and who is going to clean my garage and drive way??? Not Sears! read more

This is one of the worst retail stores/locations I have ever been in. I would say the lower level staff are horrible but in my opinion it's not their fault. It is obvious that they were never trained properly nor given any sort of direction. The management and supervisory team are obviously the horrible ones. I've shopped here several times. Sears has always had great products. This store is clean and organized. However, this location has horrible service. Cashiers are sllllllllloooooooowwwwww. One older lady felt necessary to comment on every item she scanned. She had a story for every little thing. She convinced one person to sign up for a card. I declined the card and she continued to try to convince me. I again repeated myself, politely. I wasn't so nice the third time. I was only one of four people in line. Everyone in line was annoyed. It took literally 20 minutes..... I returned to the store not long after. Same employee was at a register with two people in her line.. However, there was another register open and it was full (6 people). I chose the long line and was finished before one was done at the other line. I asked my cashier about the older female. She told me that everyone complains about her, but the management won't do anything about it. read more

Called six times to confirm a merchandise pickup and can't reach a person. Tried several departments coping to transfer and the one I reached sounded like he was underwater. So disappointing after spending $700 on exercise equipment that was supposed to be delivered a week ago. Wasted my time going to pick it up after receiving a confirmation call. Where to start..... Horrible horrible experience! I bought a washer and dryer that was on sale. I got an awesome price for the set but it was not worth the sears experience. It took two weeks for the set to be delivered, I paid $70 for delivery. The delivery guys broke my plastic washer tray that the washing machine sits in. And the salesman sold me the wrong dryer vent which would not fit with my dryer, therefore the dryer would not fit in the space. I called the store, opted to pay for another tray (instead of filing a claim) and purchase another vent so the delivery guys could return in a few days to remedy the situation. Three weeks later, after many phones and a trip to the store the delivery guys showed up AGAIN with the wrong parts. The tray I was told to purchase by the salesman wouldn't work and the dryer vent was AGAIN to big. This was not the delivery guys fault but the warehouses fault. So they left without anything being solved. I called the next day and complained to the manager asking for the correct parts to be brought and a refund of 10%. I was told it would be another few weeks, so I said I would go buy the correct stuff and fix it myself. The manager said she would refund $100.00 (I spent $1500.00) I said fine.... The money was NEVER refunded. Nor was I refunded for all the incorrect parts that the delivery guys took with them. I will NEVER go to another Sears store again!!! read more

Never have I ever had SUCH a negative experience with a store. Kevin & I purchased a fridge from SEARS, which was delivered on Monday. At the time, the water line didn't work--they told me to check in the morning, & if it still didn't work, to call them & they'd make it right. Additionally, we found dents on the doors, a gap between them, & an alarm went off for several hours. Tuesday, Kevin called them, & they didn't want to be helpful. Finally, he was told he would get a call back to figure out how we could fix the appliance. That call never came. Wednesday, we finally got a hold of a manager who told him to come in the store Thursday & we would get a new fridge. In between all of this, we found out that our fridge was on back order, & not available until mid-March, however, we'd find a similar fridge. Yesterday, we went & found a different fridge for an even trade out. We worked with the appliance manager who said we would get our delivery next week. Last night we received a call that our "delivery" would take place between 6-8 pm. This afternoon, we get a call that the delivery (which isn't actually a delivery) will be taking place at 3---when no one is home. Not only this, but we were told that we won't be getting a new fridge, we would wait for our new one in March, when they were available. read more

After being a loyal Sears customer for many years I am very disappointed to have to write a review such as this. I had recently hired Sears carpet and duct cleaning to clean two homes of mine. The first one being my new home which they did an Ok job on and I was satisfied. I will note that I was not given any confirmation call for that appointment that happened two weeks ago and all went as planned. This review is being written because on April 4, several weeks in advance, I made a second appointment with Sears for today, April 27. I am vacating a townhouse and as such I am required to have my carpets professionally cleaned. Today is the day I am required to turn the keys back into my landlord and have everything completely buttoned up. Well Sears never showed up. Not only was the Sears customer service representative I spoke to today completely rude, unprofessional and hung up on me when I asked to speak to a manager but she alleges that they contacted me yesterday to confirm my appointment leaving a voicemail. However, I did not receive any such voicemail and was unaware that if I did not confirm my appointment it would just be nonchalantly canceled. They send a confirmation email at the time of order that says they will call a day in advance but nowhere in that email does it say if I don't answer the call they will just cancel me with no notice. Today my appointment was scheduled between 9 and 10 AM and they did not show up. At 10:10 I missed a call and immediately returned the call and was told that because I did not confirm my appointment yesterday they went ahead and canceled it. I was sitting at the vacant property the entire time this morning none the wiser waiting for Sears to show up. Now I am stranded and am desperately looking for a new carpet cleaning company to come today which I am having to pay a rush fee so I do not lose my $1800 security deposit at this residence for not having these carpets cleaned. I have recommended Sears to so many of my friends in the past because they really do do a good job, but I will never use them again. After the way I was treated, and how un-empathetic Sears was to me, I won't shop or purchase or use Sears for anything. I had just hired Sears to do my garage doors and that is getting canceled too. read more

I am not surprised by the 1.5 star rating. Sears Tire Center put tires on my car and when they did, messed up my front end. We took it back to them, they filed a claim with their insurance, and then denied the claim. The claim itself says they felt responsible enough to take action, and then denied their own claim. I want my car fixed and I should not have to pay for it out of pocket. Their own paperwork shows no front end damage prior to the tires being put on. After I submitted the paperwork to the insurance company-Sedgewick, I did not hear back from them after repeated emails to the adjuster. I could not even get the courtesy of them telling me the claim was denied. It took about 6 weeks before I finally called someone else and found out what was going on. read more

I know they're not doing well and sold Craftman and I believe they still own Kenmore, love both product lines. It's been a pleasure shopping their website for in-store products and heading over there to pick them up, instead of worrying about porch pirates. Sears.com - I placed a Kenmore 71355 26.0 cu. ft. Smart Wi-Fi Enabled French-Door Refrigerator w/PreView Grab-N-Go - Active Finish in the amount of $2,199.99 on layaway on November 19, 2020. On Nov. 27, 2020 I attempted to pay off the unit. The Sears.com website has a glitch where it will not allow me to pick a delivery date before completing the purchase, but also will not complete the purchase without selecting a delivery date. Basically, I'm stuck. I called customer service and they told me I had to go to a physical store to fix the issue. The nearest physical store is a 6 hour round trip and even then, after first calling the store, I am told they do not deal with Sears.com layaways and cannot even see them in their system. I call back customer service several times and I am told they will put in a trouble ticket for the web site and try back after 48 hours. The person assisting also states that I try making a progress payment, which I do until I have paid all but $0.57 of the cost, but it still will not let me complete the purchase. Monday, Nov. 30 I try once again and the system is still not working. I call and use on line chat with many, at least 6, separate individuals that tell me the same thing and once again state they will put in another ticket to IT. I ask to speak to a manager which I was initially was told was not available, but after pressing the issue, I was told one could call me back. Later that same evening a representative called be from a Denver, Colorado number and stated that he could help with the issue and asked that I give him until the next day, today, to fix the problem. I finally get a call back today and now the story has changed to that he isn't sure how to fix the problem and not only that, the original delivery date of December 8th is not achievable. Not only that, Sears would not even be able to fulfill that order "until sometime next year". I requested that my money be refunded and I am told that it will be a minimum of 7 to 10 days for them to refund my money. This issue is purely their fault, however they did nothing to try and fix the problem other than hold my money as long as they could before I had no choice but cancel the order and they cannot even go out of their way enough to refund my money immediately. They took my money in seconds... how can they not refund it just as fast? Now I have nowhere to keep my food and they couldn't care less. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. We went in on September 5th and purchased a NordicTrack and weight set and weight cage system. Mike, who is the manager told us the cage system was not in stock. He told us not to pay for it but would order it and call us with delivery date. After we heard nothing we called. Mike told us that it would be in on October 6th. Again we heard nothing. We finally went in tonight to return the weight we were told that the order was never placed because we didn't pay for it upfront. Then they attempted to say we could not return the weights because it had been more than 30 days!! No one really cared one way or the other. Andrew in the pickup area was very nice and did seem to want to be helpful. My guess is that our situation was not uncommon. Buyers beware. Don't get anything that could need to be returned or repaired or you too could have the same problems. How is Sears still in business? read more

Bought a stove from this store on September 30th and the couldn't get it delivered for 3 weeks which was fine, but Day of delivery we called and they said the store cancelled our order? But had no problem keeping our 788 dollars we paid. No call to let us know anything. We called and no one could tell us why they cancelled it. So we went to the store and asked where our stove was and they still didn't know, then finally they said it was back ordered and it would be another 3 weeks before they can get one, so we're supposed to wait 6 to 8 weeks for a stove? So we asked for a refund and went to Lowe's where we got the same stove for a 100 dollars cheaper and next day delivery! This is why that Sears is going under, bad sales reps that don't know anything about product knowledge or how their warehouses operate or deliveries. I will never buy anything from this company ever again! Go to Lowe's if you want real help from people who know what's going on and a quick delivery without the b.s. Sears put us thru. read more

Sears ruined our dishwasher by installing the wrong gasket, so the dishwasher leaked on our hardwood floor. We were never contacted by Sears despite many promises made in Live Chats with their "Customer Service" people. The repairman also accidentally left a small tool under a throw rug which couldn't be seen until I stepped on it. Sears would do us a favor to go out of business, and the sooner the better. I hate this store and will never set foot in a Sears store again ever. Tom Martino says they are crap and now I know why. Even Martino couldn't get a response from Sears! We spent $1K to get repairs and a new dishwasher installed. One star rating because I couldn't give it a negative star rating.
