I got some good looking shirts for the summer for really good deals that would have cost double or more at the mall. They just got a big restock of summer clothes and I liked what I found. Usually I pay around $10-15 for button ups. They have nice brands like Lucky for a significant discount. This might be the worst TJ Maxx I have been to...I normally like finding things here but there selection is lack luster to say the least. Walked in and a security guard is at the front door and totally eye balls me like I am a thief and doesn't greet anyone so that set me off on the wrong foot. Didn't really find anything I was looking for. Absolutely no customer service and then waited in line to buy my 1 item for over 10 mins while all the employees are so busy not helping customer la and then again another security guard eye balling me while I am waiting in line to buy my $4.99 balsamic vinegar. Checked out eventually and the cashier was so unfriendly that I will not ever be coming back! read more

I am writing this review to bring to light an incident that occurred at this store which left me so disturbed, I ultimately decided to never again step foot in this location. On July 6th, 2023 at approximately 1:00pm, I entered this TJ Maxx/Home Goods location and began browsing the t-shirts in the Men's department. A few minutes after I arrived, a Black teenage boy arrived and began looking through the t-shirts on the same rack, the two of us standing side-by-side. I will reiterate that I had been in the Men's department for several minutes before this boy entered the store and began to browse in the same aisle I was in. After this boy arrived, we both heard "Welcome to the Men's Department" being loudly broadcast overhead. The boy's response to the not-so-subtle declaration that the security cameras were active was such that I myself felt the discomfort that I watched wash over him. He backed away slowly from the clothing rack, raising empty hands out in front of himself as he did, his face a mixture of confusion and concern. Then, he did the only thing you really should do when it's been made clear to you that you are being eyed with unnecessary suspicion: he quietly left the store. I did my best not to jump to conclusions despite my instincts telling me that what I had just witnessed was as bad as I assumed it to be. I've been in stores where the cameras are shelf mounted and motion-activated and I assumed that had been the case here. But I knew that I had been in that department for several minutes and never once heard that greeting. I continued to wander the Men's department with greater awareness, trying to determine where the motion detector for the camera was, confident that I would be able to set it off and put my concern aside. I never found a motion detector. I wandered the Men's department for several minutes and never once received the greeting that this young boy had received after being in the store for less than 3 minutes. What was it about him that made him worthy of a greeting and not me? Is there something about a Black teenager that calls for such a greeting that a White, cisgender adult male doesn't prompt? I finished my own shopping and got into line, telling a family member who had been late to join me at the store that this would be the last time we would be patronizing this location as I had just seen what could only be described as low-key but simultaneously the most blatantly racist targeting of a child that I had ever had the misfortune of witnessing. I don't pretend to know the first thing about this boy and that's just it: I make no assumptions about him but the security team of this TJ Maxx did. For all anyone knows, he was there to spend birthday money or buy a present for a friend or family member. Maybe, he was there on the order of a parent to pick out a new outfit with back-to-school being a month away. Normal, everyday American things. Instead, he was cruelly reminded that he isn't seen as most other kids his age. That boy felt himself being "othered" as he stood there, innocently browsing cheap t-shirts. The night of this incident, he very likely went to bed with the thought that the panicked decision to leave this TJ Maxx location without incident was very likely the reason why he was still alive and able to lay his head to rest in his family home. I know it's a common cultural observation that TJ Maxx has become a marketplace and safe space for white women. But, the dehumanization of a person of color at this store was so blatant and so unnecessary that it left me wondering how often it actually goes on here. Does corporate insist on "minding the store" with this kind of racial bias? Or is the racial bias only prevalent at this location and in the neighborhood it's located in? Are the cheap $7.99 t-shirts such a precious commodity that only certain people can really be trusted to take an interest in them? I would say "do better" but when a store is treating certain human beings like vermin that need to be chased off, you can't do much worse than having a security team that selectively broadcasts a welcoming announcement that comes off more as a sugar-coated threat to someone's well-being. "Shopping while Black" appears to be something they'd prefer to curtail. read more

This T.J. Maxx location is the bees knees! I recently came here one evening to check out their furniture and artwork selection since they're also a Home Goods. As soon as you enter you're always greeted by the friendly staff that work here. This always leaves you with a good feeling about the store. The quality and vast selection of their furniture is outstanding. Everything they have available is super glitzy and really modern. Their rug selection is amazing, they have all of the latest styles of rugs, and their prices are a lot cheaper than similar ones that can be found online. I highly recommend coming here if you're looking for some unique artwork, or you just fancy a modern dresser or side table. read more

I'm walking down memory lane and I stumble upon this TJ Maxx!! This location is close to an old job of mine and even though it's a bit out of the way, Westminster's location is my favorite combo TJ Maxx/HomeGoods!! They are hands down, the cleanest, friendliest customer service yet. I really enjoy their variety of stocked holiday merchandise and find more of a selection than other locations. The employees are working hard to keep the store clean, organized, and stocked. I've been to several Home Goods/TJ Maxx superstores and this one is the best! Wonderful experience! The checkout moved quickly and orderly. this location has some tremendous housewares and decorations. store features clothing and home furnishings. Any time I would go into this store I come in I have a horrible experience first the dressing rooms they were nasty the wall in the biggest dressing room looks like it's growing mold the women standing there in the morning is rude . In the area and dropped by after dinner to check out what's in store. For me, I like to come in and refresh/renew our decor. One of a kind items, some inexpensive, some not. Always worth a look. I found some items for a picnic kit I'm putting together. Plates,plastic cups that look like glass but are cheap and containers. I love to grab colorful pillows to change out the living room. Fir him, well, he says it looks the same everytime, but even he has to admit, he finds some cool stuff almost every visit. This location is tidy and bright and carries a lot of seasonal items. Check out the aisles as you make your way to the register. They put those impulse buys that you just gotta touch or take home. read more

I love TJ Max and Home Goods BUT I do not love this location. The parking sucks - like worse then a Grocery store before Thanksgiving at all times. The selection seems off compared to other stores. Seriously you are located next to a Pet store and have way to much space dedicated to pets - don't get me wrong I love animals but I don't think it's smart. The signage for walking creates traffic jams. Will I continue to shop here because it's close probably BUT I will drive further on most occasions because the other stores seem to have more of the things I would want and I can park easier. read more

The customer service at this location is severely lacking. Upon trying to return a product that didn't work out for me I was reprimanded by the employee behind the counter for making a return at the jewelry counter instead of the check out line. This has always been totally acceptable at every other location I have frequented, as the line for the checkout can be quite long at times. The person made it clear that she did not want to help me (although there were no other customers at the jewelry counter), but begrudgingly made "an exception " because I insisted. She also made sure to have someone, whom I assume is a manager, come over and lecture me about what can and cannot be returned before she gave me a receipt so I could leave. This came across as very antagonistic. I have been encouraged to return these "prohibited" items at other locations if they didn't work for me. It would have been so easy to just take back the product , and process the return, which I had only had for 2 days, and simply changed my mind about. Instead they chose to make it a bad experience. I see where you get your 3 star rating, ladies. I only give you one star because it is required. read more
