Our trip to Costco was a good one, as normal. The only problems we had was we went in for rib eye steaks or a prime rib to cook for Valentine's but they were out of both. There were also not enough check out lines open but we still made it out fairly quickly. read more

Great Pharmacy! After going to big box pharmacies that close down during lunchtime and treat the patients like dirt, it was truly refreshing to go to a pharmacy that greets people with a smile! Props to this business and the workers for working on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. I know people don't like working on the eves of those holidays but props to them. Not only that. I did notice the workers here were still happy and cheerful helping customers out even though it was really packed on those two days I came here. This Costco is a bit different in terms of it having its layout but for the most part it's not bad. It's just crazy how much traffic goes though this place inside and out. But regardless, do expect to have a hard time driving out of the parking lot if you do go in on an Eve of a holiday as it took me 15 minutes to get out. I like Costco. For things I need/want in bulk, they are a good source at reasonable prices. Unlike many reviewers, when I go to Costco I don't take my pet. I remember to bring my card. I don't get angry when they ask to see my card. I know what payment they accept and what they don't. I don't expect to find luxe brands. I don't expect to buy individual packages. I don't expect the pizza-by-the-slice to exceed all expectations. What I do expect is a good shopping experience and this location has always delivered that. The only ding I can give the location is for their audiology (hearing aid). There's often nobody at the counter. On the other hand, their optical department is great. This location is always clean, well-stocked, and usually quite busy. Even so, the lines usually are reasonably short because the checkers and packers are efficient and pleasant. read more

I'm very frustrated with my Sandy, UT. Costco today 5/13/2023. I've been a loyal member for over a decade and today I got there 30 minutes or so before they closed, but didn't hear anything about them closing soon? I went about my normal shopping, getting way too much as I normally do. I was taking time, getting everything on my list and noticed that I was being spied on from both ends of the isle, it felt like I was in a prison and the guards were watching my every move. I asked the man on one side of the isle what they were doing, because it felt strange to me and he told me that they had to make sure that I was safe, because they were closing and didn't want any fork lift to run me over. I told him I was just trying to finish up my list and I would be out of there as soon as possible. I went down the next isle and there was a woman watching me, I noticed the flowers that I had missed on the previous isle. It's nearly Mother's Day, so I pointed my cart as I was walking to the flowers and the lady physically stopped my cart and said "You can't go that way". By this time, I felt that I was kind of being man handled with the fact that she had stopped my cart, rather than just saying, "Is there something you need that I can get for you, we are closed and they don't want members going back there?". I told her that I just needed flowers and since they were about 5 feet away from me, I didn't think it would be a problem? She was a little snooty with me, saying she could get them. I told her that it was a personal gift and I'd like to pick them out myself, reluctantly she let me get them. I went to the next isle and on my way back to the lady, another lady yelled from almost all the way down the isle (right next to the other lady), " sir, we are closed, you need to go to the register." I yelled back to her, I'm fully aware of that and have been told already. Honestly, I had no idea that Costco was closing so early. It's amazing how customer service works, when it's bad, you end up feeling like you've been wronged. When it's great, you understand everything you need to know and you leave either happy with the way that you've been treated or leave not ever thinking anything about it. To Costco: Customer Service is Paramount to the longevity of your stores. You've had the luxury of being one of very few big box stores that cater to Groceries and non perishables like Kirkland brand items, etc. All great things end, it just depends on how long you are able to do and be better than your competition. Customer Service and Satisfaction is a keystone to the success of Costco and without it, it can erode the foundations of a business. Keep that in mind when you work for those that make you successful. Costco in general is great for the obvious reasons. This review is about this particular location. They are always out of everything- and this was way before COVID. We've been coming here for years. Every time we find a new staple they run out in the next two weeks. It's a running joke in our family now, but it's very frustrating. Even common items like Coke Zero. Isn't there some better inventory tracking you guys can do? This is also a crowded location- but I feel like they all are these days madhouses. I had the tires rotated & balanced on my Mazda CX-5 today. I have a PTSD assistance canine for issues I struggle with following a random, violent assault that occurred several years ago. When I went to check in at the bay where the service professionals work, David C. welcomed my dog & I. David acknowledged my dog in a natural & kind way (she is allowed to be petted with my permission, which I gave to her). Then pointed me in the right direction to the check in area. Lindsay at the front desk was equally professional & kind. She checked me in, called me when my car was ready, well under the time they estimated it would take. When it is a struggle to go out & tend to what should, and used to be, normal everyday responsibilities (without my dog) it makes all the difference in the world to be treated with kindness & respect. When a "difference" presents itself visibly or in the way a person interacts with others it can cause anxiety, which is why it's so important to recognize those who have the presence of mind & care enough to treat others as they would hope to be treated. It's experiences like this that make healing from trauma possible- "overwriting" neural wiring damaged from an insult to the brain is what it's all about. And it takes many more positive than negative experiences to accomplish. Love Costco. Finally took the plunge and became a 'real adult' by getting a Costco membership. We also applied for the credit card, which seems to have so many benefits. Even for applying, We received a gift bag with some random items that will be useful later. Tortilla chips, baby wipes, granola bars, a tiny water, etc. This store is nice, well kept, clean, plenty of checkout stands open, nice workers, set up pretty well. We love samples galore. The gas is a great price. Costco is a win win and we will for sure be back again and again. read more

I've seen a lot of complaints about this Costco location being super busy and a pain to get to, but in my experience I have not had any of these issues. I've also not gone on a Saturday, but seriously, can you honestly be surprised to find Costco swamped on a Saturday? I did come on a Sunday, and it was busy, but not overwhelmingly so. The main reason I like this location is the tire center. Last week we needed to replace the tires on my husband's car due to a flat. We dropped the car off at 6:00pm and they were done by 8:00pm. We didn't have an appointment, and they were very friendly and helpful. I spoke to their manager, Mike, who helped me find the best deal and was nice enough to suggest some Bridgestone tires that were going to go on sale the following week. I took my receipt in for a price adjustment this week and they updated the price to the sale, no questions asked. I had originally called the Murray location last week, and they were nowhere near as helpful. As far as the actual store goes I feel like it's the same as any other Costco, although they didn't have the green tea I like, and I hope it's just that this store doesn't carry it, and not that all Costco locations no longer have it! There do seem to be some differences between the stock of each store, even within the same area. Oh, and we got a slice of pizza and frozen yogurt on the way out, and the guy who rang up our order was super friendly too! All the employees at this location are great! read more

Just pulling into their lot I can feel my agoraphobia and social anxiety kick into high gear. What could possibly be so alluring that causes humans to swarm this place?? The employees at this costco are friendly and helpful. The store is kept clean and tidy. I am always impressed with the large quantities and low prices. The best part of costco, is that you don't sacrifice quality in order to receive low prices in large quantity. Costco is always great about accepting returns and/or exchanges. From junk food to vitamins, muffins to beverages, produce to flowers and then some screaming deals on electronics, home fashion, clothing, books, and the random odd and end, by the metric ton. Parking is kind of a weird. Besides the giant lot on the south side, you can sometimes sneak a closer spot along the east side of the building. With a weird traffic light entrance on the northeast side. Inside you'll find a Costco. You know the kind--chock full of convenient 12,000-packs of crackers for you and 1200 of your closest friends. Apparently the cracker to friend ratio is 10:1, which I think is fair. Just don't invite Kevin. That guys is a cracker hog. Tire center. Fresh flowers. Optical. Yep yep yep. May heaven pour out mercy on your soul if you try to shop here on a Saturday. If you don't move with purpose and confidence you'll get trampled by a pack of angry suburban moms faster than you can say, "You're too old for Twilight!" I don't often shop here, because I just don't need that much stuff. But there are deals to be had and if you know what you're after you can get those deals. I normally love Costco but I will never ever upgrade my iPhone there again. This isn't about Costco but the mobile phone kiosk inside Costco. My husband and I went to their kiosk and inquired about a phone upgrade. We had been shopping around. They told my husband that he would get $750 trade in for his IPhone 8. We'll see went for it and just tonight received and email that said he would only get $95 for it. What a rip-off. They told me I'd get $250 for my iPhone 7. We found out I only got $45. Like most Costcos this one is always packed! So be prepared for the crowd. You can almost always save .10 cents or more on gas, so that is great, but there is usually a line.Costco muffins are so delicious, half my reason for going to Costco is the muffins. I by a lot of my non perishable items here in bulk and it ends up saving a lot. Their freezer section is also really great, a lot of selection, my favorite is the Ling Ling Potstickers. The samples are also really awesome! The most samples are out on weekends before 2 pm. I love the samples and you can have as many as you like. The food court has some really good cheap food, the hot dog and drink for 1.50 is of course a staple. The bbq brisket sandwich is also really good, but kind of spendy. The pizza is also pretty good, but Sams has better and Sams has soft pretzels which are my favorite! They have really high quality electronics and goods, and their prices are hard to beat. I feel like in the last couple of years Costco has moved more and more into the organic, healthy food area. This is great but now the only fresh chicken I can find there is organic grass fed chicken from some fancy farm and it costs 3 dollars or more a pound. So I feel like Sams Club actually has cheaper basic meat selection, which is what I am looking for. read more

Let me start by saying Costco tire center broke my special locking lug nut tool When rotating my tires, they were very nice and offered to replace it if I brought them a receipt of a newly purchased one. I also bought a new battery but had to pay the $15 core fee until I brought back my battery core. On the day of the crazy earthquake I went to Costco to bring back my battery core and pick up my check for the replaced tool. The tire center was so busy which was understandable and they said they could only give me my money for the battery core but the special Lugnut tool check would have to be issued by the office area inside of Costco. Costco had not opened yet and because of the earthquake weren't sure if they were going to. I told the guy I wasn't going to worry about it today and I would get the check a different time. I had forgotten about it for a while but finally decided to have them cut me the check on 5/6/2020. I decided not to bother the guy is at the tire center with how busy they were the last time and just went straight to customer service. That is where I talk to a girl name Kristin I believe, she was so rude to me, first I told her I had forgotten who I was working with in the tire center because it was the day of the earthquake and it had been a couple months so I had forgotten his name. I told her that on that particular day COSTCO was not even sure they were going to open because they weren't sure it was safe for customers to shop until they had an inspector come in and make sure things have not shifted. She basically accused me of being a liar and doubted that the $27 check I was asking for was even legit. She continued to argue with me telling me that COSTCO was open on the day of the earthquake and I told her that she was right but they open till late, they didn't start letting people in until 1030, she said that must've been a different Costco because Sandy Costco open on time that day. There were police escorts there telling people they need to go back to their car because they couldn't even start lining up to go inside yet due to the earthquake, I really didn't appreciate her basically telling me I was a liar. She also told me I was not in the system whatsoever of having my car serviced in the year 2020 which was what made me think she was doubting my honesty in the matter. She then sent me to the tire center and they told me that customer service did not have access to that kind of information and that I was indeed in their system. It was a little ridiculous after that as I had to be escorted to the office area where they would write the check, The first part of arguing with the lady at customer service and talking to the guys in the tire center took about 20 minutes and then another 40 minutes on top of that for them to write up a report about the incident and cut me the $27 check has two different managers had to sign the check and there was only one available so they had to hunt another one down. I was so frustrated and they would not let me go shop for the one last item I needed while I waited for the check to be cut. I wanted a big potted plant for Mother's Day that I couldn't buy my first round because I had too much stuff in my cart and by time they were done they were all sold out of the plant I wanted. This was all so frustrating and ruined my whole day. I spend a lot of money here and use a lot of the services, I usually have a positive experience with the staff but the customer service girl name Kristin particularly was so frustrating to deal with, she even stopped helping me to help a coworker during our interaction. read more

I wish I could get out of there for under $200, but that's my fault. Everything there is of great value, so I want it all! My only gripe with this place... is Please... Let's face it, where else can you buy a big screen TV, a crap load of food to eat while you watch it, and 48 rolls of toilet paper....well you get the idea.... Seriously, who doesn't love Costco? Not too many people based on the reviews. It's an adventure, and a great place to get in a good hike if it's raining outside! This is by far the most convenient store in the valley for me, and the one I'm used to, but depending on where I am I sometimes visit others and they all seem to offer consistent service and products. I've found customer service to be good at all locations, plus they never give you any hassle the odd times I've had to make a return. Some of the meat selection is topnotch. I'm even brave enough to enjoy the samples and occasionally the food court here, something I won't do at a certain competing warehouse store, though I do have a membership to both since not all my favorite brands are carried by just one chain. Others have mentioned the screwy parking at this location and the need to avoid it on a Saturday - I whole heartedly agree, and really it's the only reason this Costco does not get 5 stars. My Dad used to say "buy in bulk and eat in bulk." Costco epitomizes that philosophy. Another saying that comes to mind is, "everything is bigger in Texas." Everything is definitely bigger at Costco. While that is kind of the point, for some shoppers that is more of a curse then a blessing in my opinion. Let me tell you why... My wife and I have had a membership to Costco in years past but more recently we decided not to renew it. Why? Because for just the two of us, it's really hard to get our money's worth, in my opinion. One of the reasons for that is because we don't buy a lot of groceries and we certainly don't need the bulk sized portions sold at Costco. If you aren't careful it's easy to buy too much and then have food go to waste. Sometimes it's impossible to eat everything before it spoils. But other times food goes to waste because we just get sick of the same thing. Sure you can buy plenty of non-food items at Costco, and they are generally a good value. But I canceled my membership because I ultimately wasn't buying enough of those items to justify the expense either. Sure, I expect I will be back before long, but for now I'm doing okay and I'm doing without that jumbo box of Twinkies I didn't really need anyway... read more

This Costco is bigger and obviously better than the one in American fork. They have same choices but more of them then the one in American fork and of course the crowd and parking here just got crazier than ever. It ( the crowd that is ) almost felt like I was in one of the busiest streets in India than Utah and at times when I kept bumping into someone it almost felt like the whole of Utah was here and shopping . we had an unfortunate situation at the tire center due to a flat tire we got on the freeway close to this location. i am giving this review 5 stars only because of the incredible customer service we received from Dave. he handled the situation that was the fault of his coworkers with such professionalism and great customer service. he is not in management position, but he clearly should be because he had to take care of the situation when his manager that was working the same shift did not. he helped us as best he could in his position and when he could see his manger in the tire department was not doing their job, he recommended we take our situation to the store management where we were taken care of with more great customer service. read more
