Terrible service at the cosco gas station. Rude male attendant treated me like in a unprofessional and mean way. 08/22/17 at 1:30pm read more

This review is soley based off of the rotisserie chicken. It seems like every time I purchase the chicken it's never cooked fully. It's happened to me three times, I knew I shouldn't have purchased it and should have driven the extra miles to Sam's Club. I'm tired of calling and complaining. Is it that hard to train your staff to check the individual temperatures!!! When I lifted the chicken it was covered in excess fat which would have helped if it was trimmed to cook properly. Regardless fair warning buy your chicken elsewhere!!!! read more

Not a bad store, but they don't give a lot of thought to how they restrict movement. If you have a shopping cart with items in it, there is no way to get to the bathrooms unless you abandon the cart on one side of the checkout registers. All paths between the store area and the bathrooms are blocked. Odds are, by the time you get back from the bathroom, some over-zealous employee has taken your cart and is reshelving your items. Similarly, if you pay for some items at the Pharmacy while picking up a prescription, there's no way to get a cart out of the store without standing in a checkout line (the second time). If you are lucky enough to find an open route through the checkout line, some store employee will stop you and try to 'correct' your 'mistake.' One other thought . . . Sam's Club is much better about ordering items online for store pickup. Most of Costco's inventory is NOT available for online ordering with a store pickup. If you know what you want, it just adds a lot of time to your trip. read more

This place is "new" which means clean and the staff is friendly. It is also sample city! We've been to Costco all over the U.S. & Mexico. This one rates in the top 5. read more

Just went to grand opening today. I must say I'm glad I went. This store was stocked with plenty of Xbox and PS4s. Was able to get my hands on both. Gas is also the cheapest around the area. Not sure if this is promotional or the price will consistently be lower than the rest. Great store. Great employees. Love the free samples! read more

Costco - My brother in law got his copy too! - Wholesale Stores Near Me - North Riverside, Illinois

Brand spanking new Costco w/a gas station. Love this Costco - the staff is awesome! the day we went the samples were out of control! Ribs, Italian Beef, breaded chicken breasts, pasta, two different kinds of chocolate, chicken soup, chips, a roll of toilet paper (yep) - and more! I don't usually sample, this time they had some DELICIOUS olives - I had 3 samples - YUM! Best part was that even though there were many cars in the lot, and many people shopping, the lines were short and went fast. This may be our new GO-TO Costco! read more

I'm not crazy about it...Their sale items in their flyer never tell you what the regular price is , just tell you how much you are saving,..and don't bother asking the check out person..They don't give a crap how much you save....I like my Cicero Sam's club better, plus it's closer to home...Really unsettles me about their undercooked chicken...Sam's club has rotisserie chicken for the same price..Let the buyer beware... read more

Heather, licensed optician, just helped me resurrect two pairs of glasses purchased at Costco. These glasses were probably 10 years old but still operational except for the fit. This review not only speaks to the durability of the frames, but also to the excellent service that comes with a purchase of glasses from Costco. Thank you for the options, Costco optical! read more

A brand-spanking new Costco in the heart of Berwyn/North Riverside!!! This store is huge. They have everything, and the merchandise is well organized. Costco is a pretty homogenized experience, so I won't go into details about the stock. Only downsides... mostly new employees are getting used to stuff. With no line at checkout it still took over 10 minutes to finish up, items not priced, etc. Food court was kind of a joke, it was 30 minutes plus to get a pizza to go (lonnnnnngggg line and they screwed up my pizza the first time). Overall awesome store, I'm so excited to have it close-by. It should ease the traffic at Oak Brook considerably. read more

Costco North Riverside Rocks! We've been loyal customers of the Costco Warehouse since we joined in 1997 to keep our baby clean and dry in Kirkland diapers! We have moved to 4 different cities since those early days, and this new Costco location is by far the best - it also happens to be closest to our home ... A particular shout out goes to the Pharmacy: Excellent customer service, attention to detail, and a pleasant experience all around. Charlene and Ricky treat their customers like the old fashioned independent pharmacists of yore who actually consult with the patients, as a neighbor, with courtesy, warmth and a smile. They have my respect and loyalty in return. The Floral items are very fresh and long lasting, and the prices cannot be equalled. My husband deems the North Riverside Butcher's Department superior to the Oakbrook location. He particularly prefers to select the Prime Steaks here because of the quality of the cuts. As others have noted, this Costco has less of a bottle-neck at the Cashier stations and the aisles are less clogged. The Staff are friendly and helpful, and actually seem to enjoy working at North Riverside Costco. Shopping here makes errand running easy and cost saving when I can fill up with quality and value gas too. read more

It's so quiet! I'm here on a Sunday, and so far it's the most pleasant Costco experience I've ever had. I shall enjoy this while it lasts. Everything is fresh and shiny and new. This location is right next to the North Riverside mall, so I don't imagine it will stay this quiet. They are signing new members up like crazy in the front lobby. But oh my stars and garters! I am freely taking up the whole lane in dry goods! I am doing wheelies by the pharmacy! I am not fighting anyone for sample foods! The layout is almost the same as the Costco in Melrose Park. read more

Weather I'm getting gas or shopping for whatever it is I need I always find myself in and out of the place witch is great! All there workers are very helpful and easy to find. Unlike most store where u feel like you been walking around for days look for someone to help you. Keep up the good work :) read more

This is by far the best Costco in the the western 'burbs. For years I've resigned myself to the insanity of the Oak Brook and Melrose Park locations. Thankfully this location has none of the traffic, parking and crowd issues of those locations. Close to the house, no parking a mile away, short lines, the staff is very nice and the selection isn't any different than the other two. I get in and get out fast that's what I love about this place. I also like that the gas pumps are open early in the morning so I can fill up without hitting the overpriced gas stations in the area on my way to work. read more

Love this location, the layout and the associates. We come here for everything and find that they're always helpful. We have purchased computers through diapers and tons of food. The snack choices are great and I appreciate the allergen free snacks for the kids lunches. read more

I was lucky that the Costco on the north side did not have any hearing aid appointments, because I went to the Riverside Costco, and had the help of Ryan Shadden. Ryan is professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. If you have a problem, it is worth a drive out to Riverside, to see Ryan. Ed G, MD read more

I have always loved this Costco, but I've been disappointed to see that they are not enforcing their mask policy with their employees. You see employees in the food prep area with the mask covering only the mouth, one employee had it under her chin. I won't be buying their baked goods anytime soon! read more

The gas prices alone are worth what I pay in membership fees! I love walking around and trying samples of new things. Liquor prices are also pretty good. I usually buy laundry detergent and cleaning products here too. Everyone needs a Costco membership! read more

Went to Costco Tire Center in North Riverside, IL to purchase tires. Never again. They ruined my wheels. They damaged all four wheels and the put the two worst ones on the passenger side so I wouldn't notice them when I picked up my car. These guys were laughing and joking around when they were working. They are truly amateurs. If you have nice wheels I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. Or buy the tires and takes them to professional for mounting. read more

If you know me, you know I just LOVE costco. This one isn't really near my house as I go to the one in bedford park or in the south loop typically. However, being in the area today, and being in desperate need of fuel for my car this hit the spot. Now, I have yet to go into this specific store, I have used the gas station a couple of times. The fuel prices here are the ABSOLUTE lowest in the chicago area (according to gas buddy). And that includes parts of Will and Dupage county I have bought gasoline in. And when you have a car that takes premium fuel only like mine, if you see gas for $3.07, you gotta stop immediately. Probably the lowest price I have paid for gas in illinois in 4 or 5 years or so. I love that! Only drawback was that the gas station was pretty crowded and only half the pumps were available for some reason. But I only had to wait about 5 minutes until my turn. read more

So happy they opened this store about 2 years ago. I shop there 4-5 times per month and rarely have anything even remotely resembling a problem. They have a great variety of items, even when lines appear long they make them move quickly. Customer service overall has been terrific...i read other reviews and the ones ,complaining about service baffle me because I've never seen ir...i.plan to shop there for a looking time! read more

Great COSTCO. Somebody leaving 1 star because only 1 out of 10 people live in N. RIVERSIDE....gimmie a break. People will complain about anything. Great meat department! Always delish. The place in general seems to try and help people out anytime they could. They go above and beyond. Good place...im sold! read more

The customer service at the Costco Tire warehouse is phenomenal, Daniel Chavez definitely did a wonderful job!

We live in North Riverside and shop at this store. We have nothing but great feelings and reports as elders we have been treated by every employee that we have interacted with since it opened. They have all been top notch! Our only problem being two person home some items are packed in too large an amount. We solve that by sharing with our two adult children that live here in the Village. Their gas prices beat any station I would say within 10 miles of us a real plus as well. read more

My wife made an appointment online for a flu shot for our daughter. She gets there on time and the tech says they don't do appointments?!?!? She told him she did it online and he said she'll still have to wait. We have a PANDEMIC taking place and Costco employees can't hold appointments let alone KNOW that they TAKE THEM?!?!? This is very unprofessional and DANGEROUS! Forcing our family to stay in the store and risk exposure. You should be ashamed Costco. read more

My boyfriend asked me to pick up some food while he waited in the car. After looking for the food and waiting a while in line, the cashier said we had to bring him in. I'm here all of the time. This brand new Costco is beating the rest of the Costco's (if there was such a competition). Why? Because parking is convenient, not too many people like at other Costco's. The store appears to be roomier, getting gas is a breeze, and all of the employees are super friendly (including the customers). I like the detail of friendliness, welcoming, and professional costumer service so far. Oh, also their give away goodies are delish!! read more

I live down the block and go here once a week. When they first built Costco here they said north riverside residents would have first priority to be hired. I call B.S. every time I go here I ask people where they are from, 1 out of 10 are from north riverside. I know many people who have applied and not received a call back who live in the area, are qualified and would be great there. the last 10 times I have gone here the people who are doing check out don't even acknowledge me. they are always too busy talking to each other. Its rude and I get annoyed. i'm coming here to spend my money and I cant get a "Hi, How are you". this Costco is making me not want to renew my membership. and my family and I have been with Costco since I can remember. Costco please work on your north riverside lactation, or ill be making my way to Oakbrook or target. read more

Being less crowded than other local Costcos, there is always parking, though getting in and out of the parking lot can be a bit tricky (turning left onto 26th? Good luck). The selection and foodcourt are consistent and comparable to their other locations. What can I say? I'm really quite a fan of Costco. Who doesn't like bulk foods and inexpensive yet high quality housewares? And anything with the name "Kirkland Signature" on it is always reliably well made, delicious, comfortable, or whatever it is that it's supposed to be or do. The only complaint I have is that recently I've been getting haggled by associates attempting to get me to apply for an American Express card while I wait in line, or they inquire about my membership status (presumably to upgrade me to executive, which I already am so it's a non-starter). Overall, it is the best area Costco insofar as it's clean and easy to get around. Ever been to the Oak Brook location on the weekend? OMG. PRO TIP: order a slice of cheese pizza from the food court, sprinkle with half a package of chili pepper flakes, then liberally dispense onions from the onion dispensing machine in a tidy 2-3 inch pile right on top. Fold, eat, and you can thank me later. read more

Love this place! I get their concept but does EVERYTHING need to be in quantities like we are stocking up for the end of days? Somethings you can break up, but not others. Suppose their focus is more for businesses. read more

Ok so i have been a member since they opened in North Riverside,i am also a member at Sams club. But i have been going to Costco more because it is only 5 min from my house.SO HERE IS MY ISSUE....Every time i go to Costco they try to upsell every single member in the line. They go through a 5 min thing for each customer.SO IF U HAVE 3 PEOPLE IN FRONT of you thats a extra 15 min not including there transactions .When you sign up you have the option to upgrade..And u can upgrade anytime u want. The cashiers are forcing it down yr throut!!!!!And they are forces to do it by management. It makes me not want to shop there.Maybe i will just take the extra 10 min ride and GO TO SAMS,For the same amount of time u wait at Costco i cAN Save time and money because Sams is cheaper anyway.I dont think i will renewcome November, Unless things change. read more

Absolutely love Costco! This has become my family staple for everything from groceries, electronics, clothes, shoes - you name it they got it! I LOVE COSTCO! And I love how this Costco particularly, is close to the mall and all the stores I enjoy shopping at.

This Cosco location is a relatively new. I find it easy to get in and out especially on the weekends. I come here for everything.
