Just leaving Costco and it wasn't a pleasant visit. I understand the new rules of the non-members vs. members but y'all take it too serious when at the end of the day the employees will get paid & the transactions are going to get paid regardless of who is paying. At checkout the cashier Jaime E. made it really confusing when it really wasn't, not sure if she thought we were incompetent but we fully understood what she was saying and she was rude about it too. I've worked in customer service before so I get it but just because you're having a bad day doesn't mean you have to take it on other people especially when we didn't give her a reason to. I've only started coming to this Costco location for a year or so. Maybe 4 times total. I've always been on edge since I've read several reviews regarding racial profiling at the door, etc. Fortunately for me I hadn't experienced any of it and had almost let my guard down completely until today. I walked in seeking two items. None of which were in stock but I managed to get several other items in my basket. I was in and at he register within 30 minutes. I was approaching the register when the first flag went up. Richard, a tall 6'+ Caucasian man was gleefully placing the items from the white family infront of me on the conveyor belt. He looked up and saw me and immediately turned around and walked away to the front of the registers. I left my 3 year old in the basket after personally placing all my items on the conveyor belt and watched as Richard coldly ordered my 3 year old daughter to turn around and steer clear of him as he placed my items in the basket. You may argue that it isn't his job to be nice and entertaining to my child but had you seen his interaction with the white child in the kart ahead of me you too would have noticed the difference. He couldn't stomach placing more than a couple of my items in my basket, of course. Just like earlier he walked away promptly so he wouldn't have to bother with us. Not a look, not an exchange of words, not a smile. I dare any supervisor/store manager/area supervisor to find footage where this employee is nice to anyone other than white patrons. It almost seemed like a blunt laugh to my face after we stopped for a quick snack and had two eyelashes in our frozen yogurt and a thick, long coarse dark hair in my turkey provolone sandwich. I didn't even speak up. I was over it by then. Giving them 3 stars since I've never ran into any other issues besides today. read more

Beware of Kasey.. I have never received any bad service in the last couple years that I have been a member yet on my last 2 trips I have had the unfortunate luck of running into Kasey at the checkout counter. With the pandemic changing our lives right now and the unprecedented need for kindness and positivity through this troubling time she has not exemplified either. Kasey was terrifyingly rude and if looks could kill.. she continued to roll her eyes and speak in a rude and condescending tone when asked any form of question. And when her mood was commented on Kasey had an attitude and talked down towards me and made fun of what I had said to her coworkers directly in my face. This was only the first trip. I thought it may have just been an off day for her, it was busy in the early days of quarantine. I get it. But to my disappointment, she in fact treated her customers with disrespect and her signature eye roll and condescending tone. All in all I love Costco but bullying is not okay. She has left a lingering hurt that I do not believe is a value that Costco stands by. Please talk to Kasey of humble. EDIT: my boyfriend used to work closely to the Costco in headquarters for 5 years (didn't want to tell me then and there because he just wanted to get out as soon as possible) and was extremely uncomfortable with the entire situation of being around her. I am a huge fan of CostCo. The meat department is the best. Many of the meat products are Prime Beef which will be more expensive than Choice or Select at other stores like Kroger or Walmart. Their own brand is the Kirkland brand. Everything I have had that is Kirkland has been tasty and fresh. I really like the Kirkland coffee. I have the tendency to split my shopping between the Woodlands and Kingwood location. My only gripe is that the stores are not set up exactly the same so I get confused where everything is located in each store. By the way, they no longer accept American Express. They now only accept Visa. read more

This is very unfortunate as I have never had an experience like this with Costco. I received an offer from the optometrist next door following my son's visit. The optometrist handed me a rebate offer and advised me that when purchasing 8 boxes of Biotrue ONEday contact lenses, that Costco was offering $140.00 insta-rebate and then on top of that an additional $200 for purchasing Bausch+Lomb contacts. She even marked up the offer to show the amazing savings. As an inner city school teacher, I was THRILLED! With this in mind, I took advantage of the offer after speaking with three employees in the warehouse when making the purchase to ensure that I was following the applicable rules. They even noted it on my receipt and gave me written information that was required when logging online to submit the rebate. That was June 20th. Today is August 2nd. I logged online to check the status of my rebate and they are not honoring the rebate as it had expired ("per the email in May" - said the Rebate Customer Service Rep). I contacted Vanessa the Marketing Supervisor at my warehouse , they advised me the insta rebate was in place of the $200 rebate. That is why I was not approved. TOTAL SCAM. I am so disappointed as I would have NOT ordered contacts at Costco. I even offered to accept a store credit and that is their response. I will never take advantage of a rebate through Costco again for this very reason. Honesty and honoring something I was given is something this warehouse is not capable of. read more

Where to start ... well let me say walking in was not welcoming at all. First time here and was in a hurry to go in and grab a few things, now I seen a few people just walk in with no problem on not showing there membership card or there membership on there phone and no one asked so I was like okay let's just go. Just to get mid way in and yelled to let me see your membership! Girl with orange hair ( Josephine ) think that's her name she had on a necklace and her tag was backwards so couldn't get a name. I see another girl with glasses named Melanie just laugh at another coworker after seeing what had happened and said another remark at the entrance. So since it had to be pulled up on my phone she had no problem hovering over my phone to make sure. ( Josephine ) now it gets even irritating. At the meat isle Melanie decides to pass by with another customer laughing and saying that's them looking my direction and having the customer look my direction as well. How childish can the employees be! I've been a loyal customer at another high chain member club for years and never had the experience. Short lines, HUGE selection, great prices, friendly staff, clean store. YES PLEASE. Thank you COSTCO for finally arriving in Humble. We had been driving an hour or more to visit you in the past. We love shopping at COSTCO, but who doesn't? The staff here really is helpful and there is generally not much of a wait to check out. The jewelry selection is smaller than at their big box rival, but that's OK. The pieces are lovely. Computing and other electronics are well represented in terms of display space and square footage. I enjoyed looking at their home wares as well. I think the thing I like most are the chill rooms for fruits, vegetables, and dairy. Those are nice touches that imply that produce quality is important to COSTCO. I also appreciate their having a selection of work and casual clothes that you could collect in bulk, given the low prices. This location is well situated not far off 59, so it's rather easy for folks to get to, no matter which side of the freeway you call home. I do wish that they had not leveled an entire forest to build the location, but it seems that the developer is going to fill in. read more

Post flood update! The store reopened November 30, 2017. It was packed. Sample stations we're all over with a broad assortment of meats, cakes, breads, and other foods. The selection of goods seems to have reset to the base line Costco. The wine section feels like its 50% of it's former size and the selection of wines was at best underwhelming. I was hoping to buy some of the wines they used to sell, but left disappointed. We'll try again over the next few weeks. Minus 1 star for forgetting many things that tailored this location to it's customers. Old review: What can I say... I've been a Costco fan for years. I attended the opening of this location not too long ago and have enjoyed shopping here ever since. Costco's policies are focused on customer satisfaction. Their product selection is not as broad as some other "big box" stores, but they are focused on delivering the best quality and at a good value. In other words, if you are looking for cheap junk, Costco's not your store. When you buy something at Costco, they stand behind it. If you don't like or it doesn't work as you thought it should, they take it back. And that is why I always buy with confidence when I shop here. Costco's Kirkland brand offers some of the best products. Their prepared foods (stuffed peppers, panini sandwiches, chicken wraps, etc.), groceries (canned meats, sauces, veggies, etc.), meats (beef, lamb, pork, chicken) and produce (fruits and vegetables) are fantastic. I' am constantly impressed with the quality of their meats. They have the best value paper goods around. Their wine and beer selection is good, and their Kirkland branded wines are exceptional and an exceptional value. The only draw back to Costco is that most items are sold in bulk or in large formats. It's not over the top, but it is plentiful. So unless you are feeding an army or have to clean an army base, you many need to store some part for later. read more

However, when I asked for help finding a particular sound bar, the first words out of the sales representatives mouth was "we do not match prices".... humm, I never asked for a matched price, just trying to find out if they had the model I was looking for in the store. Absolute garbage customer service. My dad is unable to come get groceries here because he's at home taking care of my mom who's dealing with cancer. I try explaining this to the front end supervisor and she has no empathy and cannot even help me out once. I have to then ask for her superior to talk to him and appeal to him. He gives me the same nonsense and cannot sympathize with my situation. Horrible customer service. I thought member service was important to Costco but apparently not. I had the worse experience yesterday while shopping in Costco. Instead of my membership card, I gave my sister my Costco shop card. The cashier at register eight asked for my membership and signaled me over. My two-year-old niece was inside my shopping cart, and I refused to leave her in the basket alone, so I took the basket with me and gave my membership card to the cashier. While I was walking back to register ten to get back to my original spot in line, the individual assisting the two registers asked whom the cart belongs to. Was I next in line for register eight? I told the young woman respectfully that the basket belongs to me and that I had to take my membership card to the cashier, but I was initially in line ten. After hearing the conversation I had with her co-worker with a mean tone, Ashley, the cashier for ten says, ma'am, I believe you are cutting in line. I explained to her the same thing I told her co-worker. She rolled her eyes, hurled my food around the place, and slammed it while checking me out. I told her that her attitude wasn't necessary, she ignored me and kept the same behavior, so I asked for the manager who was also wasted my time because he was just as incompetent. Rodney, the manager on duty, walks up and says yes, I'm the manager, how can I help you while I was still checking out, and then he repeated himself. I responded that I'm currently checking out please give me a minute to finish. After I finished checking out, the cashier grabbed my receipt and threw it at me in front of the manager. I told her that a nasty ass attitude wouldn't get you far in your life. Before knowing the problem, Rodney approached me with a dismissive manner. Throughout the conversation, he wanted to discuss the remark I made to his employee for acting rudely and continued to make excuses for his employee by saying that she was doing the best she could. Doing the best, you can don't require aggressive behavior or a nasty attitude. If Ashley K and Rodney don't want to do their job because of a pandemic, it's best to find another profession. Nothing was resolved; I felt like I was talking to a brick wall throughout the conversation. This type of behavior is unacceptable, and something needs to be done about it. Rodney should not be a manager unless he knows how to manage his employees, and Ashley K does not need a job if she lacks professionalism. If I were white, none of this would have happened, and Rodney would have taken me seriously immediately. Because I was black and young, he thought he could belittle me and tell me what I was supposed to do instead of correcting his employee behavior. This experience taught me a lot. Costco employees should be required to take a cultural sensitivity training program. There are individuals from different cultures that shop at Costco. It will be insane if every time someone is racially profiled or is treated differently due to their race that they cancel their membership until Costco address this type of behavior from their employees. read more

My bag was stolen while in the parking lot while putting food in the trunk. Most of the employees are young so when I ran to the employees about what just happened to me in their parking lot, they just kind of brushed me off. This was my first visit and obviously yes it is Christmas season as well as Covid still being a concern. I work in a hospital front line dealing with sick patients; I am also pregnant and obviously I'm complying and doing my best to keep away from the disease myself more than the average person. I understand the importance of masks currently and I 100% abide by this rule, but when you have a loose mask that falls every 5 seconds it becomes hard to keep on. I was explaining to the cashier that we had two separate orders and he begins yelling at me to put my mask on... as it was falling while I spoke to him. If he would've asked nicely, I would've been more understanding. Not only this, but every employee at the checkout was rude and rushing people around, and then getting an attitude if you didn't move fast enough. There was ONE nice employee, Kia, who asked if I'd found everything I needed and asked how my day was going! Prices are great, but I'll be keeping my business with Sams due to the issues I encountered in my visit today. read more

One of the best things about this place is its employees. They are always smiling and friendly whether its walking in, serving up samples or working the register. Hearing Aid Dept, Juan is AWESOME!! Went with my mom for full testing, then she demo'd a pair for 20 min with me shopping in store, and then I purchased a pair for her upcoming 80th BDay (whewhoo)! Juan helwas SUPER patient, answered all of our 20 questions +, and gave us his honest opinions on the different products!! He was very sharp! Kudos to Costco for free thorough hearing tests for members and not putting your technician's on commission. Juan's attitude and excellent service are definitely an asset to this location!! Thanks! Update: Well... not so great with the follow up. We were told the new hearing aids could be picked up Sat, today, (a week later after paying in full), only to be called 23 min before our scheduled appt to be told the new hearing aids did not come in yet??!!! We drove over 30 miles to get there and were already in the parking lot!!!! If you have an AM client appt to custom fit their $2600 hearing aids and they have not arrived the night before, PLEASE at least have the common courtesy to call and update client on status and have them wait for your confirmation call that the product is in!! Common sense courtesy folks!!! If these were for me and not my mom I would cancel this sale and get my full refund!! NOT HAPPY! Oh btw, requested demo pair to use for mom since she was all excited to have them to wear to a family lunch today, and Costco said no (even though this was their mistake, hers were paid in full in advance, we were in the parking lot, and she would be coming back Thursday in 4 days)!!! Since all this chaos all the employee have been exceptional except one. I have to shop for others and I'm in there often. The one at the front as you leave checking tickets most definitely acts as though she does not want to be there. She's wearing gloves with a clip board for your receipt but won't get close enough for you to put it on there and then afterwards won't get close enough to give it back. She lets go of it before it's in your hand and said, " there you go , you can get it". With everything going on we all need to be kind and do our jobs. I take care of the sick. Meaning elderly,mental patients and disabled children/adults. We are all in this together read more

I've been a member of Costco since 1992. We've been waiting for years for a Costco to open closer to our home in Northeast Houston. As of Friday, 3/18/2016, our wish was granted! Now open in Humble, Costco is simply the best warehouse club for the value. Products, including their Kirkland Signature branded products are top notch. And you can't beat their selection and variety of high quality fresh meats. Better prices and more unique and useful selections than the competition. Cash or debit business, and switching from Amex to Visa-only soon for credit purchases. Pro tip: if you want to try it out, ask a member you know to pick up a Costco Cash Card for you (or have them purchase online at Costco.com). You don't have to be a member to shop there if you have a Cash Card. read more
