Sign says they open at 10am. Me and 5 other customers showed up at 10:15am. The store was completely closed. What assholes.

I don't have any Ulta-rior motives for writing this review, and it's not exactly going to be a…read morebeauty, but let's try. Barbie's favourite makeup store is also my favourite makeup store, and we come to these whenever we can. Barbie finds a lot of great stuff at good prices, or okay prices, although sometimes it's overpriced it depends on the stuff. A lot of employees are really nice, although that's not always the case. One of the best things about these stores is that Barbie finds a lot of friends who have the same kind of glamorous beauty queen makeup as she does, which obviously is a big attraction for her. Whichever way you look at it these are really really great places to come for makeup. This one is a brand new store way out in the northeast of Houston, in an area that we don't usually go to, but we still love the store and we'll still keep coming here whenever we're in this corner of town.

I had to part my own hair, and after washing it she told me she couldn't provide a blowout because my hair is curly. She spoke with a manager and came back basically saying there was nothing she could do. I asked two other stylists if anyone else was available, and both said no without asking what the issue was or offering help. When I went to the front to pay, the manager was very kind and went to check with the stylists again. She returned with ALONA, one of the stylists I had spoken to earlier. ALONA was extremely rude and had the worst customer service. She insisted that what I wanted was a silk press, not a blowout. I explained that I knew exactly what I wanted, and it was a blowout. ALONA continued going back and forth with me, speaking in a belittling tone, as she is much much older than I am, claiming a blowout couldn't be done on my hair even though I've had it done many times before. She still demanded I pay for the wash, even though it was part of a service that was never completed due to a stylist's lack of expertise. As a frequent visitor, Alona's attitude and lack of professionalism may keep me from ever returning.

Being that beauty supply stores are far and few in between in the Atascocita/Humble area, I was…read morepleasantly delighted to find this place! Sally's tends to lack a diverse selection of ethnic brands, especially for natural hair wearers, so finding this supply place (with reasonable pricing) is a welcomed addition to the area. It took me several months to actually scope out the place. I was inside of Kroger shopping when someone came up to me with a sample product and stated that they had opened a beauty supply down the way. From Kroger, you really can't see the location very well (a little isolated and no direct parking lot from the road), but in desperation, I decided to find the beauty supply one day to seek out a possible wig selection to tide me over until a hair appointment. During my first visit, the wigtician was very accommodating and let me try on as many wigs as I wanted (granted there is a sign that says there is a 3 wig try on limit, but that's only if it's really busy according to the wigtician. Since I am not a wig wearer, it took me awhile to select something to try on--a couple of wigs were just for kicks like the micro braid wig. After soliciting suggestions and being informed on which wigs were human and synthetic as well as the ones with the lace front parts, I tried on about five wigs, but really didn't find anything that I would be confident enough in wearing outside my house, The wigtician understood and invited me to come back anytime once I was more secure with my wig selection. I wandered around after deciding not to get a wig just to get a feel of the inventory and the pricing. Compared to other places in and around the Houston area, the prices are comparable, if not cheaper than some beauty supply places. For example, I was looking for a matte lipstick that looked beautiful on my cousin. She told me that she bought it for $3.99 at her nearby beauty supply. I found various brands of matte lipstick starting at $1.99 at CC Beauty. Almost bought it, but chose a matte lip gloss that was only 99 cents just to get a feel for the look. As far as hair selection, you should be able to find what you're looking for, but as far as pricing, I cannot say because I can never pinpoint a "good price" for hair. I will say that the type of hair you're buying is clearly labeled on the hair, so to see a woman come into the store on my second visit and state that she bought the wrong type of hair because the person assisting her allowed her to buy a "blend" versus "human hair" is a pitiful excuse. True the person helping her should have made sure she bought human hair if that's what she wanted, but I always look at what I'm buying! Course, there are no refunds or exchanges, so that was a waste of her money. Always look at what you're buying is basic 101 of hair buying no matter what you're told. The most important aspect of my visits was knowing that I was valued. I was greeted upon entering and exiting. Additionally, when I inquired about a product in a different color, they told me next time, they would stock it. Furthermore, when I questioned the price of an item, the cashier went back to the shelf and confirmed the price. Most importantly, I didn't feel hassled nor followed around like I was going to get my five finger discount on. I like being treated with respect above all else, which makes me a customer more than a critic.

Exchange within 7 days so day 0 would be the 19th. And day 20 would be Day 1 so the 26th would be Day 7. The manager refused to exchange the shirt and mace spray I bought on the 19th so I do not buy from this store anymore since they did not have a sign around clothes about returning within a day. I was returning within a week but manager does not know how to read a calandra.
