Exchange within 7 days so day 0 would be the 19th. And day 20 would be Day 1 so the 26th would be Day 7. The manager refused to exchange the shirt and mace spray I bought on the 19th so I do not buy from this store anymore since they did not have a sign around clothes about returning within a day. I was returning within a week but manager does not know how to read a calandra.

It's also worth noting the little "extras": it's always a fun & entertaining place to visit, a triple shampoo (with head massage), cotton swabs for the ears, and eyebrow trimming. Finally, Annie is extremely customer-oriented and one of the friendliest owners/stylist I've ever met. First, I'm from out of town and checked google maps for haircut salons in the woodlands. Annie's popped up and somehow had almost 5 stars on there. DO NOT LISTEN TO THOSE REVIEWS. Either very biased and made by regulars or made by the owner herself. There is absolutely no way this place deserves anywhere near 5 stars. Second, I call in to make an appointment for 530 pm and Annie picks up the phone. She tells me she is already booked for 530 pm but if I can make it there in 15 min (at 515 pm) she can get started and finish up her other client's hair before she finishes mine. I drive across the woodlands and get there in exactly 15 min in order TO WAIT OVER AN HOUR. She failed to tell me she was already in a 5 pm appointment and didn't have time to "start my hair cut". Third, after finally getting seated at around 620 she starts to ask me what I want with my hair. After I begin explaining, she proceeds to apologize and go work on another woman's hair for 10 MINUTES while I sit in the chair. There was another stylist there, but she insisted that she take over and finish off the other client's hair cut. Fourth, after awkwardly waiting in this chair for her to finally begin my haircut, she finally finishes up and comes back to me. At this point I'm pretty irritated due to the fact that it's 630 pm and I called in at 5 pm for an appointment at 515 pm and she's just starting on my haircut. After very specifically telling her what I want again (I've been getting the same haircut for years and it's pretty easy/generic) she tells me that she does this all the time and not to worry. After finishing the sides, which I had to correct her probably 3 times on how I wanted them, she asked what to do on the top. I tell her to shorten it and to thin it A LITTLE. She then proceeds to thin my hair like there's no tomorrow. After I ask her what she's doing, she says -that it will look better if I keep it longer and have it thinned a lot (COMPLETE OPPOSITE OF WHAT I WANTED). My hair grows back very fast so I don't like to keep it extremely long. My hair literally looked like an Afro after this haircut and I'm visibly upset saying she thinned it way too much. Annie literally GIGGLES under her breath and tries to tell me "oh it looks so good on you". I have never come close to going online and writing a poor review about a business, especially a haircut place. BY FAR THE WORST HAIRCUT IVE EVER GOTTEN. DO NOT COME TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT.

Everyone I have encountered has been professional and the place is clean and the atmosphere is positive. There was a movie on to pass the time and I appreciated that it was clean/respectable. My first visit I got the large knotless braids. I wanted a certain color (pure white) as a highlight which the owner went out of his way to procure for me. That was a plus for me. My second visit I got small straight back cornrows. I told her to just give me color # 4 (which is brown I think) because I just wasn't sure. She looked at my hair color and blended three different colors to create a custom color that was perfect. Better than I could have even asked for. And the tension used was just right. I literally cannot tolerate tight styles. Also, my appointment started on time both times. I appreciate the hospitality as well. I was offered food and drink both times and the owner checked on us periodically to make sure everyone being serviced was comfortable. The braiders were pleasant both times and not too chatty which is a definite plus because I like to listen to music with my earbuds (or just think). I have type 4 hair and called ahead to see if they had someone experienced with my hair texture. They said yes, and reassured me a woman named Ebony could do it - she could not. For context, Ebony was white, and I had mistakenly assumed someone with a name like Ebony would be well versed in textured hair. Immediately at the sink bowl it was evident she was overwhelmed. I really new I had made a mistake when she put me in the chair to blow dry my hair, it seemed she hadn't fully detangled at the sink, and then she applied heat with a round brush instead of a vented paddle brush, I tried to convince myself to trust the process, but had to ask her to stop as my hair was rapidly drying and still had not been adequately detangled. I asked her for a paddle brush so I could detangle my hair and just leave. The manager seemed annoyed, even though despite my horror, I had manage my emotions in order not to cause a scene. The scene was caused anyway when both stylist and manager wanted to join in on my detangling - they were just ripping hair at this point and I could feel dread taking over my body at what my hair would look like afterwards.
