Easy to find and I love the under $5 price! With the lodi Costco gas closed this was a good place to get gas.

Getting a CC membership has its perks. This is one of them. Cheapest gas prices (usually) and a fairly well organized line to get in and out considering the volume of drivers stopping to fill up. The pumps are well maintained and I've never had issues using them. There has been an occasional false alarm of an open spot (CC has light indicators telling a driver when a spot is open on a pump). I've unfortunately been on that side where I have driven up to a spot thinking it's open based on the green light indicator and it's not. CC has also put cones up on spots at times which blocking them pump off. Not sure why but I've seen them do this across a line of pumps. read more

Wow, drove by the area, stopping by to fill up, found out they have 32 pumps in 4 rows, such a convenient, fast, good gasoline at great value. read more

Besides the normal low gas price offers and grand central type busyness, Costco gas station in Santee is by far the most SPACIOUS (8 pumps, 4 islands= a lot), clean, and organized of them all. This location has several other entrance options to drive in and out of. It's not so limited and bottle-necked like the one in Chula Vista Broadway and H Street. Holiday is horrendous and to be avoided, if possible. read more

The price and quality of the gasoline can't be beat and it is easily accessible at a great location.

This is just your typical Costco gas station. The prices are the cheapest in the area. As many ahve noted if you can avoid off peak hours the wait times are usally minimal read more

Large station with multiples pump for each row, at least 6 per row, they didn't try to block off any entrance getting into the gas station, so there's more than one direction to get inside, but the exit has some issue as everyone turning left one way, and because the line moved pretty fast, everyone all getting out at the same time, it created the a bit of traffic if it was busy. Before they remodeled this station it used to be on the other side and it was smaller, so it's good to see it got improved, so far gas price was cheaper here, ranking cheapest Costco gas between Santee and La Mesa, if you're heading back from Julian or Arizona you could stop by and fill up for a better deal. read more

Win-win improvements! Since relocating to the Tire Center side of the Santee Costco parking lot in 2019, the wait time to refuel has been significantly reduced. I still prefer to stop by during off peak hours, but getting through the line is quicker than other Costco stations. The lanes seem wider and fuel pump spacing allows clearance for RV's and even the most challenged parallel parking drivers to fit in a middle fuel pump. With 32 fuel pumps and 8 available lanes, remember to check the helpful electronic sign to find the green/open pumps. Friendly, reflective vested employees are available to help out if needed if you forget or "forgot" your membership card. There was that one time that regular unleaded was unavailable and premium was sold at the regular price, so there's that. If you enjoy waiting in the Costco gas line for 45+ minutes, then this location is not for you. read more

This is one of the better Costco gasoline stations. It has 4 pumps per lane which keeps the lines moving. Speaking of lines, there's a single queue from the warehouse parking lot that feeds the the pump lines. Announciators indicate which pumps are available. read more

I'm so happy for the Costco gas station in my area. We have a brand new one on mission gorge road with about 30 pumps. And on average it's about $.40 cheaper than other stations. What I like is there's always an attendant standing nearby to help if I need it. There's usually a line but it goes really really fast. I recommend getting a Costco membership and using the perks and getting gas read more

1.24.2020: This is the only place I get Costco Gas now. Yup this location if I can help it. With their newly remodeled look and relocated area it is amazing. I love the lighted gas icon, it tells you quickly which pumps are free without really waiting. Green for available and red for occupied. There are so many freaking gas pumps at this station, I believe about 32, that's alot. Anyhow even with this many pumps there are always those who don't feel comfortable pulling up to a pump opposite of their tank. I always thought that was great though. It benefits me that people prefer to be on the same side of their gas tank door because the longest I have waited at this location was 2 minutes. Yes 2 minutes, no exaggeration whatsoever. There is always plenty of free pumps especially the pumps on the right side. No more dreaded line at the Costco gas in Mission Valley. I get gas about 2x a week, so quite frequent enough to have completely know that the prices here are fairly cheap and if you don't have to wait more than 2 minutes that's a no brainer for me. I have forgotten my card twice, one time someone swipe for me as they were right there and the next time the employee with vest was readily available to help. I always thought they would be bored and standing there but every time I'm there the employees are always doing something, watching the lines, helping someone, and etc. So so glad they relocated to this corner area with so much space and they probably have gotten more cars coming to this location because of the speed and the price. I love Costco and now I love them even more because of the new gas station. WOOT WOOT! read more

They have great prices around town. Now that they have a bigger gas station it is not as packed as the old one was. They have great space between the pumps and have a nice LED green and red system that lets you know when to go to the pump when it is ready. They are cleaning right now after every person at the pumps, but before the pandemic they where cleaning not that much. They only have 87 and 91 octane only. On the screen they have to ways of paying you can tap your card or pull it in and out of the machine. read more

I know a lot of people do not shop at Costco because an individual would need to have access to a Costco Membership card, but having such card actually have perks. This Costco Gas Station is a little bit cheaper than other gas stations around, that we know of. Also, the location is well maintained and it is clean. There are a couple of Costco Representatives that are on the look out and are willing to help, if needed. I like going to this location, because it is easy to locate because it is in the heart of Santee. Like other places, there might be a long line during rush or busy hours, but it is okay. Right after you put gas on your vehicle, you can definitely go to Costco and either look around or even do your shopping! Just for individuals who are planning to come here, just know that they are not accepting Discover It Cards, and would be more beneficial to use your Visa Card. Also, you would have the option to print your receipt, if you wanted to, for tracking purposes. read more

The new gas station is awesome. It hasn't been busy the first few times I've been here but it could be that people don't realize it has opened yet. The lanes are very wide so you can get around the cars. LOTS of pumps and the gas is always the best price around. I love Costco! read more

Its Costco. The gas is at a "wholesale price" which is often much cheaper from your run of the mill gas station. The stars are for the better pricing. The two missing stars are for the lines. Often times the lines can get outrageously long and even out to the street. I'd plan your gas stop during a time when it's most likely going to be less busy, or expect to wait 20-30 minutes at peak times. You must be a Costco member to purchase gas here. The hoses are extra long. If you're careful, you can fuel your car with the pump on either side. read more

Cheapest gas around but interesting that Costco prices vary by store. San Marcos is usually cheaper than Carlsbad by 10-20 cents per gallon. Lots of pumps, fast lines and attendants to make sure things are good. read more

This place is all about the great gas prices and long lines, not that there's anything wrong with that because it gives me time to do some phone Yelping as I wait in line. Anyways, Costco certainly cuts some great deals with the gasoline refining companies because they almost always offer premium gasoline for less than the other gasoline chains. However, of you come during peak hours, you will be sure to hit some traffic around the gas station and some wait time (http://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/costco-gas-santee-2?select=y8Vrx33Vv8ghUM8seQ4kZw#y8Vrx33Vv8ghUM8seQ4kZw). The good thing is, they have attendants outside directing traffic to make things run more smoothly. You got to respect Costco for going the extra mile to provide that. I Normally like to get some shopping down as well when I come here, so that is pretty convenient. Nice.... Gas makes me go.. read more

Costco is a great place to get gas, as someone with a few thirsty cars, I can always count on them for a fresh source of Premium for the finicky ones. With it being one of the larger Costco gas stations in town there's hardly ever any waiting. The staff is always friendly and these days are doing a fantastic job sanitizing everything and keeping everything safe and clean. read more

I love this gas station! Since they've remodeled and moved it to the other end of Mission Gorge, getting gas here is a breeze. Well, I'm torn between 3 and 4 but it's *COSTCO* so I will round up! I was here around 1130am on Monday and was surprised the lines were sooooo long. I probably had to wait about 15 minutes. :( To be fair, I'm used to going to the Poway Costco, where there are less crowds and more pumps. In any event, I'm giving 4 stars since it's an efficiently run business with good prices. So good it gets too crowded... read more

This place is ALWAYS busy and the attendants guiding cars in aren't the most helpful. They should actually point to which lane they want us to go in to versus just waving us in and trying to pack as many cars in as possible. It's the same wait, regardless. And this one is smaller than most. Other Costco gas stations can fit three at a time in any given lane. This one only can do two at time. read more

I love Costco gas stations. This location seems to have pretty good pricing, sometimes it's less than the Mission Valley Costco. The lines are set up much better than the Mission Valley and the Gateway Center Drive locations. This location has a designated area for gas that is off to the side of the store so there is much less congestion. The employees are not out directing drivers so it can back up a little more but the employees are friendly and helpful. This is one of my favorite Costco gas locations. read more
