Ever since I discovered Costco in California I sincerely hope there's one everywhere I live until the end of time. Since we don't have a Costco in Dayton my family and I travel all the way to Columbus. I feel this Costco is much better than the one in Cincinnati and that's why we drive the extra miles. I mean they have churros, what's not to love? I feel the Columbus Costco has more products that we use in our household. For example we use coconut oil and quinoa very often in our house but we only find them in Columbus. We stock upAnd I LOVE the Kirkland brand diapers, they work so well for my son. Too bad it's hard to access from Ohio State for students like me without a car. :-( But after my parents and I drove to Columbus last summer, we bought for me from here a spiffy new Sony flat-screen TV, as well as plenty of bulk goods. I've been to several Costco locations, but this the best (well except for one's that sell hard liquor- Kirkland brand is surprisingly high quality). The employees are always very friendly, and knowledgeable. I've asked, and they can always tell me why they are out of almond butter, or when they are getting in holiday items. Also, they seem cycle their inventory frequently, which is both good and bad. I appreciate the variety, but bring back the Gardenburger Malibu Veggie Burgers already. read more

This is our preferred Costco location in Columbus. Everyone's friendly and knowledgable. The organization is highly ethical, they are great to their employees plus they are trying to get solar power up and running for their locations here. Only issue is that it gets wicked crowded on weekends read more

I love, love, love Costco! Perfect for a big family. Some of the stuff you do have to watch out for because you can get it cheaper at the grocery store (i.e. Soda). Great meat selection & variety of snacks. The Kirkland brand is satisfactory. We've airways had a pleasant experience. Only negative I find is that they rarely have all of the registers open. read more

Costco. Is there really a need for a review? Wholesale store providing mass quantities of cheesy poofs to the masses while making us all feel socially responsible. It is Costco. You know what to expect. This one does make you feel a bit like an NFL running back as you have to evade the salesman standing inside the front door blocking your progress and trying to sell Direct TV subscriptions. read more

Costco is Costco The workers are always fairly friendly, the meat and produce are great, and you can always seem to find something new. The store is clean and well lit. the only draw back is that it is at Polaris which means a long car ride for us and terrible traffic for all. This store is sooo wonderful I gave my son a membership for his 34th birthday. He thought I was crazy until he entered The Cathedral of Costco. He heard the angels sing the praises of 36 rolls of TP, 3 rolls of Press n Seal...delicious meats... a whole cooked chicken for $4.99 that would feed a family of five!! Costco is a great alternative to the normal chain grocery stores. They have a varied selection and are generally pretty helpful when you're looking for a specific item. The store is clean and as long as you don't check your common sense at the door, there are good deals to be had! The biggest "problem" I have with them are the other shoppers, who at times seem to be not shopping, but dining on the sample items. :) read more

Buyer beware Costco does not honor your warranty on your tires if any of your tires are not within their parameters. I bought a set a year ago and only had 6000 miles on them. They refused to install the replacement tire on my vehicle had to take it to another ship to have it installed. They would install the tire if I bought two new tires. read more

I didnt like my experience at this Costco. I dont know if they dont like minorities or maybe just not me. The staff were very unfriendly and snobby as if i didnt belong there. The store food demonstrators were friendly to others but ignored me and the one who did speak awkwardly spoke indirectly while staring the other way! (odd behavior) I cant justify why I got the executive membership since because of the service I wont be returning back. I thought with the slightly higher price point than sams club and supposed higher quality the customer service would be on point. I left feeling sad and overwhelmed with anxiety. While Sams club is said to be for a lower economic demographic it gets it right with their level of customer service regardless of your bank account.! I highly doubt I will return if so I will go to the one by easton which is in a more diverse area! read more

Costco is a very good place to shop. Except: there is an Korean?? lady doing Demo, never smile and say a word. Every time I said thank you, she just flip her eye lid and looked at me like I am the enemy. My husband told me probably this is the only job she can find, she may not even know how to say English.... But last time I was there, I saw she was greeting a handsome young college boy..... Is she a women hater or what? Other than that, Costco is a excellent place to shop! read more

The only reason I give this place 1 star is because of the horrible experience I had with their Tire department. My advice is that you never buy your car tires from them as they offer a fake warranty and very poor customer service. Here is my story: I purchased 4 new tires for my car with road hazard warranty that they claimed to cover 100,000 miles. My tires have less than 25000 miles on them now. I had one AND ONLY ONE flat tire last week and went to the store to drop off my car to fix it. Not only they claimed the tire couldn't be repaired, they wanted me to BUY FOUR NEW TIRES and charge me $950.00!!!! even though it should be covered under the warranty! I called the GM but he insisted that I had to purchase 4 new tires!!!! Of course I refused to buy 4 new tires or pay them anything and took the car to Tire Discounters. Guess what?! Tire Discounters not only repaired my flat tire, that I originally bought from Costco, they also gave me a first time customer appreciation and didn't charge me any!!!. I'm not the kind of person who goes online to write reviews, but I feel like I needed to this time. My brother recommended that I buy tires here so I gave it a shot last year and now I feel the need to share my experience. I bought four new tires and they gave me the talk about this awesome warranty (the same reason my brother told me to shop here as well) and I thought "Awesome! They have their road hazard warranty built in and they have this great service that they'll rotate my tires whenever I need it." (keep this in mind as you read) One day, I noticed I was losing air in my tire so I took the car to Costco to have it checked. First come, first served - it was an hour and a half before they even got to my car. The tech comes out and says he has something to show me. He starts with, "You have xxxxx miles on these tires (the only way he'd know this is if he had looked me up since I bought them here). Do you see the side treads? They're basically bald and this is the best tire out of all four of them. You probably have some sort of alignment issue so you'll need four more tires". I had bought the tires about a year and a half previously. I've never had to replace my tires so soon and frankly, I don't have $800+ to drop on tires every year. I asked, "did you find out why my tire is losing air?" "Oh no, I hadn't gotten to that yet" (being so busy trying to sell me new tires, he ignored why I actually came!) He pulled the tire and said I picked up a nail and it wasn't in a place that it could be patched. He said he couldn't let me leave on a bad tire and put my donut on.......thus making sure I had to take care of the tire immediately. SO, I went to another tire company, one who didn't know how many miles I had on the tires. I said I picked up a nail, could it be fixed? They said they were sure because it was in a bad spot, but they'd give it a shot. Good news, all patched and holding air (they tested it before I left). I had them check my alignment, and one wheel is SLIGHTLY off. I had them check the tread and there's no problem. Translated - I don't need $800+ in tires. In addition, I had asked Costco if the tire patch was covered with that awesome warranty. I came to find out that what they hadn't told me was that I HAD to have COSTCO rotate my tires every 6-8000 miles or it voids the warranty. Little details they hadn't to me OR my brother. Who thinks I'll buy tires from Costco again? read more

They are always out of something or discontinued something that has been a staple for my family. I spent $800+ on the best tires they carry. I came in this evening at 5:20 to get tires rotated. They said it "could" take 2 hours. So I walked to eat dinner, came back, did grocery shopping, came back to tire center at 7:30. They said they had not started on my car. Not happy! read more

We have had both a personal and business membership at this particular store since its opening. It definitely has great deals, but the people who work there are why we go there so often. Customer service is great. We also love the pharmacy and their staff. They are extremely helpful and willing to take time to really figure out solutions to potential problems. read more
