To be straightforward, TJ Maxx is TJ Maxx, no matter what location you go to, it's pretty much all the same but... if you go to enough of them you notice the subtle differences. Let's start with the cons so we can end on a high note, shall we? 1) The bathroom was horrendous. I don't do public restrooms unless I absolutely have to and this one was not good at all. 2) I get that the holiday season has arrived so people are out and about, but it was so congested it was uncomfortable. As in, the aisles were so tight, tons of stuff placed in the walkways, things like that. I even heard another customer say "this is giving me anxiety," and goodness I felt that in my core. I'm sure you have a lot of crap to put on the floors, but give us some space to walk, please. Thank you. Now for the positives... 1) While the checkout line was a mile long, they got through it quickly! 2) The dressing rooms were clean and they had plenty available. 3) While prices have gone up everywhere on the planet, it's still really affordable. 4) The people working there were really nice. read more

I would give it zero stars. I had the most awful experience here. I forgot my card and was desperate for sunglasses having migraine. I forgot my card. The person that was working was dreadful. Not shopping here ever again. These people that work here are awful and suggesting that someone get their credit card is just abhorrent. It is unethical and just wrong on every level. The card is only helpful with deep discounts otherwise it is a money pit. read more

I visited Columbus for the first time over a week ago. My first stop in this city was TJ Maxx. I love Winners. By extension, I love its American sibling. I arrived a week before American Thanksgiving. The Christmas goods were already on display, from holiday chocolates to festive throws. Locals shopping at this store were friendly. One woman wanted to make sure that she could get past me in an aisle with her cart and made sure that she didn't run over my feet. I thanked her, as I didn't want to call in sick the following week because I didn't have any feet. We both laughed. It was thoughtful of her to think of me. The gourmet snacks section is superb here. I found a huge peanut butter cup, festive chocolates, and more. I was impressed with the selection. The washrooms are at the back of the store. The women's was clean and had a decent number of stores for a retail store. I loved the quirky, fun handbags here. There weren't as many Pop Socket varieties here, but I did buy a design that I liked. The cell phone accessories section was decent. Staff were friendly and cheerful. I love, love, LOVE the TJ Maxx at Polaris. They've gone out of their way for me more than once, like when I needed 6 curtain panels and they only had 5, a lady called around to find a 6th. But they really shined today, the Saturday before Christmas Eve. The store was PACKED with customers, but they had sufficient staffing that there were team members straightening racks and keeping everything neat and every single register had a checkout person. The line was backed up to the men's department and I almost put my stuff back, but I decided to wait. It went so fast, it seems like I barely stood still, and kinda held up the line just to check the price on some socks. There were at least 20 people in front of me, but I don't think the entire thing even 10 minutes, including my purchase. And of course plenty to look at while I waited, but again, I barely had time to look! You guys ROCK! Merry Christmas! read more

No one particularly enjoys shopping the week before Christmas. My husband and I did have to venture out for a few last minute items. We were lucky enough to run into Miriam in the purse department and she was a godsend, helped us find what we need and got us checked out and finished up in a timely manner. She gives me hope that there are decent people left in retail and sales! read more

Cashier a thief I purchased 2 items and have 2 receipts. Yet my credit card shows 3 purchases were made. Cashier snuck in a small charge of $2.39. The age old trick of trying with stealing something small hoping to get away with it. Manager says I must have used a machine to check out. i did not. Manager should have admitted an error and returned the money. He must be crooked, too. read more

As a former TJ Maxx employee, I still enjoy stopping in to see what delights I stumble across. I have never seen a lemon purse now and then to see the tiniest purse ever was a sight! My favorites are ALWAYS the jewelry, makeup, & cookware finds! They can have a unique and nice selection of shoes as well as lovely items for your home. I love this Tj Maxx! They are always clean, well organized and the staff is great. They have great prices on anything you can think of.

This was my first time going in here. Was killing a little time. Kind of was a bad idea during No Spend January. Lol. I found a bunch of great things that I wanted to buy. I walked around the store for a bit, but didn't buy anything. They have a lot of good bargains. From clothing, to household items and even some food and beauty supplies. I am going on a trip soon and I will be going back to buy a new piece of luggage. It was the prefect size and for sure would stand out during the #BaggageClaimGame If there was anything I'd have to say as a takeaway, there were no sales people on the floor readily available to assist with questions and the place is a bowl of unorganized anxiety soup. Love this store,but today while checking out,cashier said that one of my items had the red sticker that did not match the item,it was some box with peanut butter Snack or somethind,I only got it because it was marked $1.00.,so cashier peeled the sticker and said this item actually $3.99, and if I still want it,I said I did not,so what the heck was that? I guess they have a problem with people switching the stickers,well, so it was really not cool,they were supposed to give it to customer,and then find out what is going on,and if someone really would cheat,they would not put it on a cheap food item.Cashier is lucky that I did not really cared for this snack box,otherwise I would demand that they honor the marked price,or proof that I put it on? Very clean and well organized store. Found a bunch of cool stuff in the Clearance section. The best SCORE of the evening was a pair of Riedel Tyrol Pinot Noir glasses for $7.50; I think these retail for around $45. Perfect find since Pinot Noir is my fav wine...especially central region Cali pinots. read more

So frustrated by return policy and rude employees. Tried returning a swim suit with tags and a receipt but was refused. They said I needed a liner sticker on it - which is ridiculous because they fall off all the time. I didn't remove it. When I purchased the swimsuit, they even put a new one on because their wasn't one. So if they can sell me something that didn't have one on it, why would they require one when I bring it back. Was not given any explanation they just said I couldn't return it because there was no sticker. This is a really poor customer service policy. This once loyal TJMaxx cardholder is canceling her credit card today. You have lost a customer. read more

Very rude. I have been shopping here for years, but today was my worst experience ever. I always able to return Marshall items at Tj Maxx because they own by the same company.
