During that entire time, not one employee acknowledged us or offered help while we searched for sizes and colors. At checkout, things got worse. After I paid in cash, the cashier handed me my bills and change all in one hand and said, "We don't have any pennies, is that okay?" She never explained what I was agreeing to. I couldn't tell if I was given more or less than expected because everything was handed to me at once, and she was very vague. When I asked for clarification, she eventually said they couldn't give me the exact change because "they don't make pennies anymore." That explanation made no sense. Whether or not pennies are still being produced has nothing to do with a current transaction--there are still plenty in circulation. The issue wasn't the penny--it was the assumption. She didn't ask if I had exact change, didn't ask if I had pennies, and didn't explain upfront that I was being shorted. She just decided it was acceptable. I remained calm, polite, and spoke in a softer tone than usual because I didn't want to make a scene. But I did explain that it's rude to assume a customer doesn't want their change, no matter how small the amount. Another employee overheard and asked what was going on. The cashier responded, "She's complaining because I didn't have one penny." That completely misrepresented the situation. The second employee replied, "Well, they don't make them anymore, so what do you want us to do?"--which only made things worse. I even pointed out that I had pennies on me, reinforcing that this wasn't the customer's problem to solve. If anything, a business should round in favor of the customer--not against them. The cashier argued that giving me more would make her drawer short, which again shows a lack of understanding of basic customer service. At one point, the second employee disengaged entirely and turned away with a smirk, which was incredibly unprofessional. Eventually, a third employee (who appeared to be a manager) stepped in and said, "Just give her a nickel"--which is exactly what I suggested from the beginning. At that point, it wasn't even about the money anymore--it was about how the situation was handled from start to finish. Also worth noting: if the situation were reversed and I was short a penny, I highly doubt they would have said, "That's fine, they don't make them anymore." I would have been expected to come up with the difference. We left without taking the nickel, but the experience left a lasting impression. For the prices they charge ($45 for shorts, $35 for a tank top), I expect far better service and professionalism. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Much rather spend my money at Lululemon and get SUPERB service.

They have a loyalty program that's free and gets you 10% off your first purchase. On December 30th 2023 I was shopping with family in Polaris and said what the heck let's give another go. This time I can honestly say I had some of the best customer service I've had in a long while. Every single employee that I engage with was super nice and very professional. Not to mention that the deals that were going on in the store at the time I was there were amazing I appreciate a good deal. It wouldn't have been fair to the establishment to write them off based off one distasteful interaction I had. We were told, multiple times, that only 6 dresses could be taken into the Fitting Room. With that being said, I knew that she was probably going to like more than 6 dresses, so I stopped a worker and said, "I know that 6 dresses are allowed in the fitting room, but if she likes more than 6 dresses, can she still try them on-like switch them out?" because it was not really clarified. THE EMPLOYEE told us, yes, that is fine, so we stood in the fitting room line for 2 hours, and yes, we knew the wait was that long, with 10 dresses. At some point, while waiting in line, another employee saw us with the dresses and asked if there was someone else with us and said that only 6 dresses can go into the fitting room (Again, I am already aware of that AND had already asked about more than 6 dresses, clarifying that we could take more than 6 dresses, but they would have to be swapped out) to which I responded that it was me and my daughter and that I am aware and that I already talked to an employee about it. Eventually, it is our turn for a fitting room, and the employee asked how many dresses, and my daughter said 6, and I planned on standing outside the fitting room that she was in with the other 4 dresses, again, as I was told when we first started shopping when I asked the employee, that it was fine to do so. Well, the employee at the fitting room looked at the dresses I had and told me that it could only be 6 dresses in the fitting room and that they could not be swapped out with any other dresses; I let her know that I had asked another employee when we first started browsing, and she almost acted like I was lying and asked me who told me that to which I then pointed them out (and I will fully admit that I accidently got another worker confused with the one that told us and when I realized it, I approached the worker and apologized and told her that, yes, I was indeed told that but not by her; It was by the employee that was working the register when we purchased the dress.) She looked at her coworker and said, "how many dresses are allowed in the rooms?" as if she wanted to make a point, and she responded, "6." I KNOW that it is 6 dresses in a fitting room; we established that like 10 times already, but an employee said that we could take more than 6 and that they would just have to swapped so that there were only 6 dresses IN the room; She then tried to explain that they have it like that during Homecoming Season and that she apologizes that I was basically was told wrong. I would not have waited in a 2-hr. line with 10 dresses IF I had been told otherwise WHEN I SPECIFICALLY ASKED if it was ok. My daughter opened the fitting room door to show me a dress and also have me help her, and I told her to give me 2 of the dresses she had already tried on so I could give her 2 more. At that time, the employee that had seen us in line with the dresses, told me that if we were swapping dresses, that was not allowed and that she can only take 6 dresses in with her and that she would have to get back at the end of the 2-hr. line to try on the remaining 4 dresses. I told her what I told the first girl at fitting room about the other employee telling me that it was fine to do so when we first started looking around the store, before getting in line, and that is where my problem is, and she proceeded to say, "well, I'm the manager, and I told you when you were in line that it was 6 dresses in the fitting room." Yes, you did, and I told you that I spoke to someone already; however, she was unaware that her employee told me that it was ok, nor did she care that I was told otherwise. She then told me that she was going to have to "cut me off" almost as if I had just been going through the store and taking dress after dress to my daughter in the fitting room; No-I stood there outside with 4-F.O.U.R. more dresses (the same 10 dresses that we stood in line with for 2 hrs) than what she was told she could take INTO the fitting room BECAUSE, AGAIN, I was told by a store employee that I could. Then, she wants to put on a smile when my daughter walks out of the fitting room and looks at her and ask, "did you find a dress." Since the Manager wanted to make it a point that she runs the store, then my suggestion for her would be to get all of her employees on the same page so that a customer does not ask a question and get told 1 thing and then told another by someone else.
