When you're feeling a bit blue and in the dumps, a trip to the Lancome counter at Macy's always helps! To help me with my girlie girl groove, I decided to stop in n see the new products and colors. I have been a Lancome lover for 20 plus years. Good skin care is what keeps me on my game! I alternate products from Lancome and products from my dermatologist. A Lancome makeup artist just happened to be at the store, and I haven't had a makeover since Alex Sanchez in early summer, so this was a treat! I wanted a soft cashmere grey/pink look and wow, I got it! She used the new Teinte Miracle to make my skin look as soft as suede, then lined my eyes in black, close to the lashes, she used Optic all over the lid, and Ceil Du Soir, oooh la la, on the lids and in the crease. Drama was an all over wash of iridescent lilac and black Definicils on my lashes. On my lips she used Bordeaux liner, then pale golden pink It Girl and shimmering Optical Rose La Laque Fever gloss completed the soft look. Heres an tip from the experts for poutier lips: apply your foundation or powder first, then apply concealer in a lighter shade AROUND your mouth right along the lip line extending outwards about a fourth of an inch. Experiment and see how it works for you. The girls at the Lancome counter know their biznazz, you can trust them to make you look good whether understated and elegant or dramatic and rich. They go the extra mile and customer service is tip top! I'm ready for a weekend in Paris. Ah yes, the Louvre, the Metro, sidewalk cafes to people watch, bookstores, the Eiffel tower, black-eyed, dark haired French men...mmmmm...yessss... Oh damn, time to wake up ;D Oh yeah, one more thing: you can have a makeup party, get this: AT HOME!!! How sweet is that!? The artist and assistants come to you and your bffs! Call Chrystal or Maureen at the Polaris location, 614-880-6454, for specifics and to schedule. Have a slumber party and everyone get a makeover. Pick your products and they will be delivered to your house also! Doesn't get much better than that! Have fun! Merci beaucoup, Sharon, for making me look fabulous and curing my blahs :)

Thank you to the clerk that was nice enough to take 10 dollars off my purchase when my star money wouldn't work for some reason!

Great. Macy's maintains quality of merchandise and decent customer service but the holiday visit suggested they needed many more people.

The clothes are curated based on the staff selections and I love that. I've never visited the shop in Polaris until recently. I was shopping around for Christmas gifts and noticed they had a 50% off sale going on. It was too good to pass up, so I took a look around. I was surprised to find several items that I just HAD TO HAVE! After grabbing up my findings and heading to the dressing rooms in the back, I knew I was about to spend some cash. The staff was crazy friendly, offering to grab me different sizes and giving me the boost of confidence I needed on a couple of items. I knew they looked great, but I needed some reassurance. It was much appreciated. I was jazzed to find a beautiful red dress, a fabulous blouse, and a sequined skirt. All items were must-haves and I left with an extra pep in my step, excited for a reason to get all dolled up. On top of great clothes, Francesca's also has beautiful jewelry, shoes, and an assortment of fun gift items. Great bags, candles, heck sometimes you can even find home goods like art and wine glasses. 5-star experience for sure.

I walked in and within seconds I had a tank top, pair of pants, and a mini skirt in hand. The prices were very affordable, more than say H&M but less than say.. Macys. The style is a combo of street style and club style.. Maybe? They also have loungewear and it looked SO FREAKIN COMFY! I loved all the racer type gear and several of the jackets they had. They also have accessories like jewelry, hats, etc. In the end, I walked out with a pleather mini skirt with a slit. Super Cute, about $50. The staff was super friendly, assisting me in the dressing room and getting me new sizes when needed. Also when checking me out. They have a loyalty program that's free and gets you 10% off your first purchase. There is no doubt that I'll be back here and I'm excited to come outside of the holidays when I won't feel as guilty buying stuff for myself.

A bit Pricey but in today's economy- what isn't !…read more I took my granddaughter shopping for her 13th birthday, and we spent over an hour in the store trying on clothes. During that entire time, not one employee acknowledged us or offered help while we searched for sizes and colors. At checkout, things got worse. After I paid in cash, the cashier handed me my bills and change all in one hand and said, "We don't have any pennies, is that okay?" She never explained what I was agreeing to. I couldn't tell if I was given more or less than expected because everything was handed to me at once, and she was very vague. When I asked for clarification, she eventually said they couldn't give me the exact change because "they don't make pennies anymore." That explanation made no sense. Whether or not pennies are still being produced has nothing to do with a current transaction--there are still plenty in circulation. The issue wasn't the penny--it was the assumption. She didn't ask if I had exact change, didn't ask if I had pennies, and didn't explain upfront that I was being shorted. She just decided it was acceptable. I remained calm, polite, and spoke in a softer tone than usual because I didn't want to make a scene. But I did explain that it's rude to assume a customer doesn't want their change, no matter how small the amount. Another employee overheard and asked what was going on. The cashier responded, "She's complaining because I didn't have one penny." That completely misrepresented the situation. The second employee replied, "Well, they don't make them anymore, so what do you want us to do?"--which only made things worse. I even pointed out that I had pennies on me, reinforcing that this wasn't the customer's problem to solve. If anything, a business should round in favor of the customer--not against them. The cashier argued that giving me more would make her drawer short, which again shows a lack of understanding of basic customer service. At one point, the second employee disengaged entirely and turned away with a smirk, which was incredibly unprofessional. Eventually, a third employee (who appeared to be a manager) stepped in and said, "Just give her a nickel"--which is exactly what I suggested from the beginning. At that point, it wasn't even about the money anymore--it was about how the situation was handled from start to finish. Also worth noting: if the situation were reversed and I was short a penny, I highly doubt they would have said, "That's fine, they don't make them anymore." I would have been expected to come up with the difference. We left without taking the nickel, but the experience left a lasting impression. For the prices they charge ($45 for shorts, $35 for a tank top), I expect far better service and professionalism. I WILL NOT BE RETURNING. Much rather spend my money at Lululemon and get SUPERB service.
