I saw someone with the cutest Fanny pack and asked where she got it. She said Tigertree online. I looked them up and ordered the same Fanny pack. Sadly I thought they were all printed/ sewn the same but the material was simply sewn as it was used so mine looked different and I wasn't happy, but this company didn't miss a beat! They sent me a return label and hand picked a new Fanny pack to look like the one I saw! They are by far THE best company I have ever worked with! Tigertree and Cub Shrub (I think it's called) are colocated, though there are two signs visible from the street. One side of the building is kid's stuff, one for adults. The kid side has clothes, toys, and more; the adult side has, well, clothes, toys, and more. We spent more time on the adult side. Games, jewelry, stickers, etc., plus some quality but casual clothes. Service was excellent: welcoming, friendly, patient, helpful. Prices are a bit high, but appropriate for the quality. You can find little things if you need to stay in a tight budget. And some pretty cool things to splurge on. I'm sure we'll be back. read more

The new space is perfection. They took over the storefront formerly occupied by Rag-o-Rama. One side is gifts and adult clothing. Cute store, spent a lot of money the first time we came here. Visited again recently from out of town. Employee was very crass in pointing to a bar across the street when I mentioned we had to cut shopping short. We have traveled there from out of town to shop and I needed to use the restroom. I get having private restrooms, however this store has gone viral On tik tok with people traveling in to visit. I would have spent more money had I been able to shop longer. Will I go back, maybe? But honestly only if I have to go to Columbus, I would not go out of my way to visit again. I went about a week ago and there was this jacket I thought was very charming but it was so expensive so I waited to come back after christmas so I could afford it. I came back today and notice they must've sold out so I asked about the jacket and staff was passive aggressive and not very kind. I was told that I should've, "jumped on it when I had the chance". Very friendly service every time I've gone! One time an enamel pin I got from the gumball/pin machine was defective, and they let me get a new one for free. We had one more person coming to holiday dinner and didn't want them to come without getting a small something and this store is perfect for that. Lots of cute and usable last minute gifts; stickers, fun kitchen towels and hot pads, notebooks, blankets, photo frames, mugs, jewelry, lots of fun trendy graphic memes and real cool apparel in the back. Fun face soaps, candles, perfumes, cards, and upstairs is the men's apparel. Such a fun place! It's great to window shop, although I'm sure they'd love a purchase every now and then. Tigertree is one of the Short North's biggest assets. The shop offers everything from men's and women's clothing to notepads to bath and body products to kitchen accessories. It sounds like it would make for a strange shopping experience, but Tigertree makes it work in the best possible way. And the visual merchandising makes me swoon every time I walk in (sometimes I stop in just to admire how beautiful the store is). This boutique is a great place to find a gift for almost everyone on your shopping list (and a little something for you too!). The products are high quality and the price point is in line with what I would expect to pay for this type of product. My only disappointment is with the customer service. When I popped into the shop recently, I wasn't greeted by an associate until I had made my way into the back of the store and the associates didn't seem to be engaging with other customers either. This is a terrifically fun store. While walking around Holiday Hop, we were so impressed by their moving winter window display that we had to stop in and see what kind of store it was. Tigertree carries a wide variety of funky items-- a little bit retro, a little bit modern -- and contains so many products to peruse. It's two story, so go on up the stairs too, and be sure to go check out the clothes in the back of the store - there are some really interesting pieces! Fun jewelry, and a variety of awesome gift items - colorful clocks, edible chemistry kit, animals-inside-a-mug, and more rounded out the collection at the time of my visit. This is a really fun and unique boutique located right in the heart of the Short North. I would describe it as though Spencer's Gifts had a baby with J Crew, sort of a quirky gift shop and clothing store combined. Tiger Tree is right off High St., surrounding by really cool shops. When first step foot inside, the merchandise you see right away is definitely silly gift items, certainly not things you'd find in a big box store. They have everything from funny mugs, pretty stationary, hand made cards, and goofy knick-knacks. As you head towards the back of the shop you find yourself immersed in women's clothing and lovely jewelry items. While it is a little pricey, you can tell that the clothes on the hangers are special. They have their own style and I totally dig it. On a recent visit they had some amazing sweaters. They were perfect for giving the boring winter season some personality. I was also caught off guard by the lavender chap stick (swoon). I definitely got some of that! For the fellas, they do have a men's section right upstairs. I've wondered around and noticed some popular, cool dude swag like Herschel backpacks. I got the vibe and I didn't hate it. Every time I visit Tiger Tree it's fun to explore because their inventory changes and everything is unique and fun. There are tons of shops on High Street, but Tigertree was that one store that caught my eye and pulled me inside with all of its might. Just peeping through the window, you could tell that there was something awesome to be discovered inside. The paper goods and office supplies caught my fancy. Pop art styled backpacks in chevron print, or brightly colored 1960's trees brought something unique to high quality work gear. I bought one of the leather card holders that comes with four complimentary colors - one for each card slot. Color coding not only looks stylish, but is handy for organization too. I also saw some cute needlepoint cardholders as well. They even came in masculine colors and designs for men. Tigertree also has tons of eccentric gifts. Let me say that I am SO happy that Tigertree was able to move off Brickel Alley and grab a spot on High St. They just were not getting the attention they deserve back there. Now that they're on High St, they can do so much more. Case in point - the window displays. I love the creativity that exudes from the front window of Tigertree. It always feels like a kid's fairytale. My favorite was when they had overstuffed rain clouds and raindrops. That creative feeling carries inside as well. They have belt buckles, wallets, and change purses made from recycled book covers. That's genius. Sifting through the pile to find that perfect coin carrier is so much fun, especially since you know you're going to be the only one with that design. The clothes are very stylish and young. I love the tailoring. Everything has a classic but current feel. Check out the ties too; they have great designs that are definitely outside of the normal checkers and stripes. Another awesome gift: the keychain plants. They're tiny little eggs with a miniature live plant inside. Everything is cuter in mini size. I really don't think they could do anything better. They have unique products that support young designers and a bright space with alluring displays. Plus there's a cute shop dog. If I had more money to spend, I'd be spending it here. Tigertree is the kind of store that Urban Outfitters pretends to be. Knicknacks, wallets, women's clothes, men's clothes, decorations, cards, notebooks, shaving paraphernalia, perfume...in essence, all of the gear that the young and not-so-young hipsters of Columbus need to fully outfit themselves. There's a lot of places like this that have sprung up now, but Tigertree manages to do it a bit better than the other places. How? Well, for one thing, it doesn't bend over backwards trying to cater to millenials. Urban Outfitters always had a touch of this, but has progressively grown into a marketing schema based around "YOU'RE YOUNG THIS IS HIP/CAMPY/IRONIC BUY ME NOW" as an aesthetic unto itself. The clothes are little billboards, the paraphernalia is meant for your dorm room, and everything is meant to be a billboard. Tigertree neatly skirts (har har) this by being less about the brand on the clothes and more just about how the clothes look. A lot of their stuff is expensive to be sure, but a surprising amount of it is well-fitting and well-made. As a 6'3" man with a slender build and long arms, buying button downs that fit me well is a task suited to disappointment. But Tigertree has a number of long button-downs with really nice patterns that also happen to fit me like a glove, almost as if the shirt was tailored for me. Their Hawaiian shirts are the same thing. Are the shirts pricey? Yes, so shopping here is a treat and not a regular occurrence. But with that in mind, when I do get something from here, it is something that I wear frequently and really enjoy. Also, the general atmosphere the sale staff create is a good one. Upselling is one of the most obnoxious things salespeople can do, at least to me, and it actively makes me want to purchase fewer things or leave altogether. The people here, in my experience at least, do not do this. They'll point out things I might like, but I never feel like they're pushing expensive shirts into my hands. I've also heard them recommend people go to other stores if they can't find what they're looking for. Overall, Tigertree is a worthwhile establishment in the Short North. read more

Either I go into Tigertree so much that the staff recognizes me or their staff is just the nicest. Ever. I mean, seriously. From the moment I walk into this store I feel happy. There are so many cute, kitschy things that I can't help myself. Their clothing selection is small but perfectly curated - there's not a thing I don't want. And their prices are reasonable (did I mention a found the same dress they had at Anthropologie for $20 more?). I can't wear my cat head sweater dress without getting stopped over and over and over again by people telling me its awesome. If I need a gift for a friend, this is my first stop. I can always find something here that I know they don't have and will absolutely love (hint: Baggu, Ohio County Fair Field Notes, and Banned Books Match Set). Love this boutique. I don't know how so much awesome is packed into one small space. I visited this place with just the intention of killing some time. I didn't plan on making any purchases, but I ended up leaving with a pair of shoes and some fun nicknacks. I loved the stylish clothing items they had. If I had more time I would've tried on some dresses. The accessories and random nicknacks were so fun to browse through. I had to keep telling myself that I didn't need things like soap that looked like doll hands or envelope making templates so that I didn't go completely overboard with my purchses. I just love Tigertree. This boutique pretty much has something for everyone. To be honest, I go to buy Happy Socks - my favorite sock brand. (Don't judge me!) Their selection of them is wonderful. In addition to another 3 pairs of Happy Socks, during my last visit - I picked up a really cute duckbill cap at a great price. For men, their selection is pretty good... just march to the back of the store and take a look. My favorite things are their maps they keep on the walls leading to the 2nd floor... I became aware of this place while reading an older dialogue about whether or not this place was one which catered to hipster scum... didn't think much of it until I accidentally came across the blog and saw some really NEAT ties... so I figured I'd give them a shot. Stopped down on my day off, dressed to spend all day in the workshop... which means old blue jeans and a mechanic's shirt. You get the feeling REAL fast about what kind of operation a place is when you dress like you just walked out of SoCal Speed Shop. Know what I found out when I walked in? The place is freakin NICE. The girl working there was friendly as could be, pointed me right toward the ties, and socialized with me while I was looking around. Yeah, hipsters suck. That doesn't mean the places they shop do. Maybe every once in awhile they accidentally happen across some place cool like this in spite of their almost uncanny ability to have absolutely no style or taste in the slightest. That's no reason to write it off. If I had, I'd have lost out on the opportunity to add a cool new place to visit when I'm in town. While they did not have the tie in stock that I wanted, I WILL try and make it out this weekend when they get their stock in. I'll probably bring my sister with me, too. I love this store. The only reason it isn't rated higher is for the price, which honestly deters me from coming in more often. As a college student, I can't really afford the majority of the things sold here, but it's perfect for those small knick-knacks or funny gifts to give to a friend. Think of it almost as an IRL Etsy. I would give this place my money anytime for that simple fact but the icing on the cake is that I actually liked the stuff in there (sorry Michael U). :) I never knew it before but I'm totally digging Fred Perry and if I could have afforded it would have bought every bag I saw last night. They also have a selection of bags that are made from vintage car interiors (ie the leather). Super rad. I found prices to be extremely reasonable and I loved that they had just a few of each thing so as to make it feel sort of special. I love Tiger Tree and think I'm going to call and have them hold that one bag before someone else does. :) read more

I must say, the place has definitely improved - as has the selection. Lots of cool stuff, though nothing I needed on this particular night. "Hipster" for sure, but a whole lot less douchebagery than many of the other clothing stores in the Short North. Great in-store soundtrack (Modest Mouse today) that is not some awful bastard-child techno/Nirvana hybrid and vastly more helpful customer service than Doctor Mojoe. Those silver Ohio pendants need to be turned into cufflinks and there is a distinct need for more single-breasted as opposed to double-breasted jackets - otherwise, I dig it. read more

I went into the store for the first time last week. I saw their blog and a lot of their items seemed like they would make good gifts, so I stopped in for my last-minute holiday shopping. The selection was pretty good. If I had been shopping for myself this would have been a 5-star review, because they had some great items for women, especially a gorgeous grey cashmere sweater. The prices were what I expected, considering most of their clothing is from recognizable labels. It is a hipster place (this means they sell things with folksy bird motif) but there are plenty of things that will appeal to people who just enjoy being trendy. I recently bookmarked this place after reading Amber H's review of the "button-yielding-egg laying chicken machine." In between yardsale-ing and apartment viewings this weekend, I stopped over to check it out. What I really wanted to get was the vintage-y striped canvas backpack in the front and the great straw cloche hat in the ladies section, but at $32 and $55 each, those will have to wait until the money starts rolling in from my new lucrative library job (hah). Fortunately, the aforementioned button machine was more budget friendly -- just a quarter! No one else was using it, an unassuming glass box with a fake chicken and a bunch of plastic eggs inside, so I walked up, read the informative flyer on the front, placed my quarter on the tray, pushed the plunger, and with a whir and clankity clank, out came a plastic yellow egg. I ended up with a really cute purple button with a little owl illustration -- totally worth 25c. I'm definitely coming back with more quarters. read more
