You can earn 1 stamp for every $10 spent. 10 stamps = $5 reward. Translation - drop a cumulative $100 and get a $5 reward. Hey, it no cost to join, so why not. Helpful hint - if you are in the store and can't find someone to help, just call the store if you can't find what you are looking for and ask. It was so helpful. I couldn't find someone to help after looking around upstairs for about 8-10 mins and the registers had a crazy holiday shopping line. I looked up the store number and called and an associate answered and was able to tell me in about 30 seconds. It was a creative workaround then standing in a line without any purchases or getting frustrated and leaving. Service was friendly and the selection was good. I was able to pick up 3 items today at this location. This store is larger than Lennox and has more options. read more

I needed help finding a book. There was a sales associate with dark, short , curly hair with rotten front teeth that was not helpful. She was on the phone so I waited at the upstairs kiosk for her to finish, no acknowledgement, just walked away when she was finished with her call. Someone else was kind enough to help when I went downstairs. I went to the checkout line to pay for purchases. There the association was behind the register. I was the only person in line. She looked up, saw me, walked away towards cafe. I had to wait for someone else to see me and check me out. What poor customer service skills, not to acknowledge someone in a store that was not busy at 10:20 AM. Hire people who want to be around others and be if service. This was a real turnoff for me. read more

I went to buy some books today. When I went to the counter some older woman who was applying for a job literally pushed me out of the way to get to the counter. Okay, whatever. But then the cashier started discussing something with her for a long time. There was another cashier helping someone but had some sort of problem and then four employees descended to help them, screw everyone else. Meantime, I was the ONLY person in line, waited 15 minutes and tried to be patient but nobody even acknowledged my existence or made any indication that I was ever going to be helped. Didn't know what else to do so I left. I guess Ii'm not "fancy" enough for the rich peoples polaris bookstore. I'll be order from Amazon exclusively from now on. No wonder retail is dead. read more

This book store is huge as it's two stories with wide walkways, escalators, and an elevator. There is a Starbucks on the first floor to get your fix and this location offers vegan milks as well. There is a large children section that's colorful and has toys in addition to books. There are large sections for every genre out there including manga and travel. They even have chairs everywhere so you don't feel rushed There's a good variety of puzzles, gifts, and other items to meet your needs. We walked out with a very large stack of books ranging from cookbooks to myths. Several were from the sale section so we were very happy with the value. The staff were very friendly and had no issue explaining their two membership programs, including a free discount one based on stamps/points you earn. read more

I like this store very much. I'm told this is one of two stores in Columbus that are two-stories. The distance between shelves and displays has just the right amount of cozy, and there are chairs scattered throughout the place. This is a large, two story Barnes & Noble located near the Yard in Polaris. It has a huge selection of items, including books, magazines, toys, games, music, and more. There is a lot of seating and a cute cafe inside. It was nice and quiet on our visit. Like other Barnes & Nobles locations, this one offers events and activities, so be sure to check their website to find out what's on the calendar. My husband and I were Christmas Shopping this past Sunday at this particular location. We were purchasing 5 books and a calendar. While checking out, the cashier asked us if we needed a bag, we both said yes. The cashiers mood and countenance changed into this angry vibe from her. She then hurried through the transaction with a hint of a bad attitude. Her name is Abbey. I realize it's the Shopping season but please tell her this isn't good Customer service. You can't treat people like that no matter how you feel. I feel companies should know how Customers are being treated since she is representing Barnes&Noble. Thank you. This B&N has an impressive selection of sandwiches & deserts. I was especially surprised to learn that they exclusively offer Cheesecake Factory cheesecake! This location would be great to have lunch. Emily the barista was pleasant, knew her products, and recommended the S'mores Frappuccino which I was delighted with. She also sold me on upgrading from a grande to venti for a few cents more, LOL. I'm glad she convinced me because the drink was delicious. This is a great Starbucks! I don't think I'd ever been in their store before but we came in for an author event. Jason Tharp was there doing drawings of his characters, Peachy and Keen. This store is huge! We shopped on the second level where the children's area is. They had a sale of buy two get one free on one table of board books, so we picked up three! It's unusual these days to go into a physical store for much of anything, but a huge bookstore like this still just makes my heart sing! When we checked out, our receipt had a coupon for the cafe inside B&N which I thought was a nice touch. read more

Still cranking and still one of my favorite retailers. For the past 10 years people keep guessing BN will go out of biz. However, as usual it was slammed with people. The customer service was unparalleled and the selection is so solid. We enjoyed the new selections and top picks right up front. Also, the top picks had some really good diversity of thought all over the map. We dropped over $100 and paid a premium to start enjoying our bounty. Thank you BN team!! read more

This review is primarily for the cafe, although the rest of the store is pretty awesome too. Anna in the cafe made me a FANTASTIC sugar free mocha latte. The only sugar free syrup they had was vanilla, which I hate. Anna offered to make me a sugar free mocha latte, even though it would take a while longer because she had to use powder instead of syrup. The latte was excellent, Anna was very polite and professional. She deserves to be commended by her bosses at Barnes and Noble for her excellent customer service. During this time of life it is not about having all the product (because their puzzle shelf was a little depleted) , but their approach for customer safety. I feel they get 5 stars. All staff had mask on, hand sanitizer bottles all over the store (I want to say I counted 8 bottles in just the few places I went I. The store). Overall: Very good selection of books and children's books. Service: 3 stars. I went on an early-afternoon Saturday. They had 2 employees in the middle customer service section, and they just pointed me to the children's books. It would have been better if they walked me over. It took awhile for me to find someone upstairs to help me find the religious children's books. At the register, there was only employee, who took a very long time with the other guest in line since that guest was signing up for a rewards card. Another employee could have come over to help. Product Selection: 4 stars. They had a nice selection of children's books, and specifically religious children's books for a baptism. My only complaint is the sales people when you first walk in the door to sell me the Nook, even though I just want a simple paperback book. Staff is helpful and the computer terminals are also nice for quickly looking up and locating a book. The cafe is a Starbucks so is alright for drinks but nothing special for treats and lousy for meals. The cafe is smaller than I'd like and feels crowded just from the tables and chairs, let alone once it fills up with people. read more

After spending an awkward few hours at the Polaris Mall food court attempting to study but instead overhearing commentary on the perversity, attire, and general carriage of the passersby, I headed over to the Barnes and Noble cafe to see if it was a more conducive atmosphere. One thing that immediately struck me was the extensive amount of seating, and the high ratio of accessible outlets. There are at least twenty small round tables, with a couple of larger ones near the front, and nearly all except a center row of four have the potential to be reached by a laptop's power cord. Also, unlike the Easton BN, the wireless here seems to be much more reliable (just wait, when I try to post this review, the connection will drop out). This location seems to have a higher population of middle-aged and older patrons, as opposed to others which have a decidedly younger -- and noisier -- feel. However, this may be due to the fact that it is a Friday evening, and only old people and losers like me who study alone on Friday nights are at Barnes and Noble. Regardless, it is a fairly sedate and study-friendly environment. I'll have to come again to see if this holds true on weekends. If so, this may become a favourite study spot. Incidentally, there are a couple of grandmotherly looking ladies looking at "Twilight" magazines and pointing out Edward, Jacob, Bella, and other characters to the not-particularly-interested husband of one of them. read more

There's a B&N everywhere these days so it really shouldn't put you out much to locate one. I am not impressed with prices but as an avid bargain shopper it is pretty much a given that I'd rather hit Half Price Books before a chain like B&N. However, that said, I can't think of another place that proudly features The Twinkies Cookbook, can you? For someone who does NOT ENJOY cooking this made me laugh so hard I had to get it. I have also just successfully whipped up the Twinkie Surprise and have suddenly gained newfound respect from my friends. Thanks B&N for the unexpected inspiration. Craving Twinkies now? Do it. Ingredients * 8-10 Ho Hos snack cakes (or 8-10 Hostess Twinkies) * 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened * 4 cups milk * 2 (3 1/2 ounce) packages instant pudding mix (flavors of your choice "or" mix them up) * 1 (12 ounce) container Cool Whip, thawed * 2-3 cups fresh berries (like strawberries with the hohos or blueberries with the twinkies) (optional) Directions 1. Split cakes and line 13x9 pan with them cream side up.Blend cream cheese with milk then blend in pudding mixes. Pour over cakes. If you opt to add berries, layer them now evenly over the pudding mixture. Spread cool whip over the top. IF desired sprinkle with chocolate curls, sprinkles or nuts. Chill until serving time. I can't put mu finger on why, but it just seems more cosmopolitan than the one at Easton, though that's a decent B&N too. I really like the way the store in Polaris is laid out. It's also in the perfect spot to kill some time while you're waiting an hour and a half to get a table at The Pub (which is pretty normal). read more

Great place to meander and relax! There are many times I go to this place to just relax and waste away time. There is an entire mall here, but most of the time, there is no need to leave this store. There is a nice little coffee shop in here which serves Starbucks coffee. The last time I bought something from there, they were still not accepting Starbucks cards for payment, so that is very aggravating. However, if you have a B&N membership, make sure to use it to get 10% off here too. Some of the baristas will not mention it. It is very rare that they move the books around, so going to my favorite genre is easy to accomplish. There are multiple computers around to help you find any book you seek. I like just wandering through the area and being surprised when I find something interesting. The staff has always been fantastic! I went in looking for a very specific calendar for 2015 and one of the staff went from aisle to aisle trying to find it right along with me. When we couldn't find it in the aisles, she looked online, and found they didn't have it. I appreciate a staff member taking their time to assist someone in this manner. When I see the checkout line getting longer, I always see a staff member come up front to open another register. Definitely a great place to spend time! read more

Becareful with membership trap !! (BN Polaris Mall) I went to BN to buy some gifts and books, it was one of my favorite places to visit. That day they recommended me a card and i thought its like a kroger card to accumulate points, but its like a costco card where you pay yearly membership.. I didnt realize as they were constantly talking to me and diverting me.. also my kid was pulling me, so i paid and came home. Then I realized my bill is charged $25 extra. I went back to store and they told I need to call the customer service to cancel membership. Then I called them and the customer service told me to get that done in store. Then I again went to store and they asked me to wait till their manager come which never happened. Then I realized i have to live with it and yes am paying for being a little careless that day. Be CAREFUL before getting membership no way you could revert that transaction. Like most brick-and-morter stores these days, the prices are too high. I like to look around this store, check the price on Amazon, and add it to my wish list to check reviews later. It is a good place to physically hold the books, and look for gifts, but you are always going to pay $2-5 more than if you would buy it online. I would suggest looking at places like Half Price Books, rather than this place. It really is just a pretty store, that is a ripoff. read more

This is an excellent bookstore. This Barnes and Noble location used to be smaller and used to be located across the street in a strip mall. It was moved about two years ago to the Polaris Fashion Place's new outdoor mall area. The bookstore has a lot, and is really helpful. With two floors, the store has an excellent array of books as well as magazines, movies, and music. It also has a Starbucks cafe located inside the bookstore with free WiFi. The prices can be kinda steep, but many other bookstores have equally high prices and don't have the huge selection that this Barnes and Noble does. It also has a large discount books section. The store also has a nice children's book section and several reading areas set up around the store. I go here pretty often to purchase books when they first come out. I've also ordered books from other B&N locations at this store. The store has very kind and helpful workers and the Starbucks has equally kind workers. It's a great B&N location and you can find an awful lot here. read more

Horrible, horrible return policy!! I am extremely disappointed in Barnes and Noble and expected more from them. They are NOT cheap and need to be a bit more lenient on their return policy. I bought a toy three weeks ago to give to my son in his Easter basket. It was not something he wanted, but knew of something else (at Barnes and Noble) that he would like instead. They would not return the toy or even offer store credit! The two week policy is NOT on the front of the receipt, but rather in a very wordy paragraph on the back. They also DO NOT tell you of this policy when you make your purchase! I will NOT be back! Terrible!!!! read more

This was a nice place to go have some tea and light refreshments, browse/purchase and read books etc. on a nice Sunday or Saturday morning or afternoon. I am a member so I like getting a nice discount on my purchases. Unfortunately, this has changed since people started to bring their dogs to the café and bookstore. There are enough dog parks etc. to take your dog in the area that the bookstore and café should not be one of those places. Again, unfortunately the employees there are too scarred to tell people to remove their dogs so the rest of us have to find elsewhere to go for our purchases and refreshments! Employees are nice but they need to correct customers who are out of line. If this was just once ok but this has been several visits that this has occurred. I wish the management would put up appropriate signs and train employees not to be scared of customers who are clearly not doing the right thing. As a side these are not service dogs although now days everybody acts like their dog is a service animal sheesh!( read more
