Last week I had to get gas, so of course i had to visit the "food court" for my slice of pie. After, all it was lunchtime. After satisfying my tummy, I decided to walk around (cartless mind you), and see if anything caught my eye. I had been thinking about picking up a two piece luggage set that had been on sale for a while...after being advised by an employee that the sale was expiring on 3-8 (same day), I decided to get it. It was my only purchase of the day and it was the first purchase with my new Costco Anytime credit card. No need to use my debit card. Now I get cash back. As I was entering the person at the door said my small service dog COULD NOT sit on a pad where kids sit. I've taken him there monthly and only needed 2 things. So he was next to my leg as I was holding his leash, trying to push a huge cart to get TP. So many people DID NOT SEE HIM. And I saw kids in 3 different carts sitting where the groceries go. Truth be told, I don't shop at Costco often. I'm single and don't need to buy in bulk, so it goes to waste. But, if a friend is going and is willing to split some of the items, I'm there! Or when I need to buy in bulk for the holidays. Today was one of those days. To share, we bought 3 packs of the Dawn Powerwash and the Portland Ketchup. We also spit a package of grapes, some baby greens, and frozen chicken breasts. For myself, I picked up a case of the large Arrowroot water bottles, the 24 oz size (700 ml), which are the best and hard to find. The Sanders dark chocolate covered caramels were on sale and I couldn't resist buying the large container for $7.99. A tiny bag at a grocery store is $5. Even at the regular price of $11.39, it's a bargain. With the holidays coming, I like to have these on hand for something sweet after a meal or with wine & charcuterie. Speaking about charcuterie, I couldn't resist a large package of cured meats from Columbia. There were 9 types of meat, each sliced and vacuum sealed separately, so I can serve them at multiple functions over the next two months. The Christmas ships sail right in front of my condo so I do a lot of entertaining in December. The Boursin cheese comes in a 3 pack and is on sale for $7.99 right now, and typically $6.99 for just one at a grocery store. Two 3-Packs went into the cart! Plus a three pack of La Panzanella rosemary crackers for $7.99 vs store one $5.99 for one. It's an elegant cracker, tastes good and looks pretty With its long, rectangular shape. To round out items for the charcuterie boards, I picked up a few other cheeses like manchango and smoked Gouda, plus a bag of dried mango. Can't leave Costco without my absolute favorite Kirkland item, cashews! I grabbed two bags. I'm feeling so relieved that I have all the items I need for the several Christmas Ship parties I will be hosting and it's only Nov 6th! Plus some extra for impromptu gatherings. Forgot to pick up a roasted chicken! Dang. I love having it sliced with a salad the first night. Then in fajitas, a chicken Caesar, chicken enchiladas and chicken Waldorf salad for the rest of the week. Next time! Parking lot is always insane. Customer service is fine, the checkout lines move fast, the handlers watching and opening new lanes, requesting additional help when needed. read more

One of the most uncomfortable Costco experiences I've had. My husband and I approached Josie M, and immediately the energy was off no greeting, no smile, not even a "hi." Just silence and a cold, annoyed stare, like we were interrupting her day. I asked, "Do you take manufacturer coupons?" a simple, normal question and she reacted like I asked her to rewrite the store's entire policy from scratch. Her tone was sharp, dismissive, and full of attitude. Sorry for expecting someone to do their job without the side of hostility. Then came the stare long, uncomfortable, and mean, like we were being punished just for speaking. We walked away completely baffled. We got exceptional service one of the checkers in self service. We waited in line and after we were all checked we needed to use our Executive gift certificate. You need to go to a full service register which would again be in another long line. Garrett just said follow me and took us to a register, opened it and finished our transaction. I was extremely disappointed by the racial discrimination displayed by a staff member who checked my receipt after I finished shopping. This happened around 11 a.m. on November 7, with the male employee stationed on the left side of the exit. While he seemed to be holding back his urge to act in a discriminatory manner, he showed a very friendly attitude towards the white customers ahead of me. However, when I greeted him with 'Good morning' and handed him my receipt, he didn't respond, glanced away, and only gave a cursory check of my receipt. Without looking at me or saying anything, he returned the receipt without any acknowledgement. His expression made it clear he was dismissing me. With employees like this, I fear how many more racists might be working at this Costco. I'll never be coming back. read more

There is a big difference between Aloha Costco to Hillsboro Costco. First of all, they still check your picture at the quick check out, Hillsboro don't check. I as a customer, feel trusted and it's like hassled free shopping at this Hillsboro location. Aloha, they still check and particular one lady, grabs your membership card and check your photo. 2nd, why is there a 20cent different in gas prices. Aloha today, $3.69 per gallon while Hillsboro is only $3.49. The tire shop at the Hillsboro is top notched. They go out of their way to get you in and out very quickly. If they break some hub cap, they go all to help fix it. read more

Gabe in the Tire Center, Costco - Jenkins Road On a Saturday when the Tire Center was extremely busy, Gabe helped us work through a flat front tire problem. He could have easily said just call roadside assistance and have them change the tire, but he didn't. He worked us in on the schedule in an hour, (during lunch hour), and got the car back up and running. He informed us that he put the spare on the back because the front wheels are responsible for steering, and the mismatched tires can cause steering handling issues. He also warned us to be cautious braking with the spare on the back. I want to reiterate the Tire Center was totally slammed that day with cars needing service and Gabe was so friendly and professional in helping us. I want to acknowledge the "above and beyond" effort and service we received from Gabe as you most certainly do not encounter his level of service these days. We are grateful to Gabe for the service we received. read more

I just want to write about a recent experience I had at Costco. After completing my purchase, I went to the food court to get a slice of pizza and accidentally dropped my pizza and purchases (including eggs and fresh raspberries) which made a big mess. Amber came over and immediately cleaned up the mess and then replaced my slice of pizza before heading over to get replacement eggs and raspberries. She was very friendly and empathetic the entire time and I truly appreciate her genuine kindness. While the prices at Costco are great, Amber's level of service and dedication is what puts a smile on my face and keeps me coming back. read more

COVID-19 has caused a lot of changes. The lines here have even gotten longer but they move fast. Even with the line forming on the side of the building and curving into the parking lot, it only took 18 minutes to get inside. They even have overflow parking across the street. This place is doing a great job with the pandemic. They have signs of the available items along with items not in stock. They also have signs that says you can't return toilet paper and paper towels. They have plenty of both. Everyone is suppose to practice social distancing and it looks like they are here. They even have staff spraying down each cart and wiping it down for the next customer. They also have a recycling center for plastic bottles, glass bottles, and aluminum cans. read more

Loving all the Organic/Vegan friendly options they have been having. Produce seemed fresh and clean, Bakery is always amazing, and was able to gather everything on my list. Checkout was also flawless and easy to manage than lastly, was able to get our information all updated and verified at Customer Service with little to no wait. It's a COSTCO; just like every other COSTCO. It's clean and plenty of parking. I was disappointed with service. I couldn't locate what I needed and I ran into 2 other customers that were verbalizing that they couldn't find anything. I finally asked an employee where I could find baby food and they said "I don't know" and kept walking. I located a second employee and they also simply said "I have no idea, that isn't my job". After walking the entire warehouse, I located an employee at the front of the line that was directing traffic at the registers. I asked "where can I locate baby food". He responded "I need to see your COSTCO card". I showed him the card and he directed me to a register. I said "no, I'm not checking out: I'm looking for baby food". He said "I don't know". Can employees be trained on what the warehouse stocks? Or trained on where to direct me to someone that knows something? read more

i am SO disappointed with Costco! here's my issues.. first, i wanted to simply leave feedback directly to Costco using their own website but i found that the only way to leave feedback is by using social media like instagram, facebook and pintrest. when i followed the pintrest link, considering i don't use facebook or instagram, i didn't see that there was any way to actually leave feedback. so, they're getting my entirely negative review instead.. now onto my issue. i ordered an electric fireplace in store but through the online system. we selected our fireplace after looking through all of the choices and ordered it. we bought a new home but couldn't have items delivered till February 14th which is tomorrow as of the date of this review) we could not choose the delivery date but this fireplace said it would be delivered feb 14th, yay! we ordered this on February 1st. however, we then received a message saying the delivery day had changed and now it was going to be delivered on the 10th. we had also bought a sectional sofa at this time. for the sofa, we could pick the delivery date and they will bring it to the room of our choice. however this wasn't the case with the fireplace? we went back and saw that the reason is because the fireplace was being delivered by UPS?? we then looked at all of the other fireplaces offered and ALL but the one we chose we delivered by costco. ONLY this fireplace was going through UPS. ok, our mistake.. so we immediately called Costco to cancel on Feb. 3rd. they said they would cancel the order however, it had already been sent for pre ship but, the agent assured us that it hadn't left the warehouse and could be easily intercepted. i spent 45 minutes talking to this agent between being put on hold and discussing the issue. I ended the call being assured, again, they would intercept the package and we would receive our refund shortly. the refund did not come but what did, a day later, was a message saying this fireplace was now on the way. i then immediately called Costco again and re-explained everything. again, costco fully assured me they would reach out to ups. then i got another message saying the expected delivery date and tracking, showing the fireplace making its way too me. i called again, they AGAIN reassured me they would reach out to intercept and then issue the refund. i called FIVE times between the 4th to the 10th. each time i was reassured and PROMISED the issue had been resolved and my refund was on its way. well, then the 10th comes and, this fireplace was delivered to my new home, where i literally don't live at till the 14th. this is a new build home so nobody lives there at all. so, here this fireplace, that i cancelled 2 days after purchase, before it shipped AND spent FIVE calls being reassured it would not be delivered, sits at my new home. some nice construction workers moved it inside. i them immediately called Costco again. they then told me that i could "refuse" it and to leave it on my porch. they delivered it at 5pm.. i am supposed to have left it out overnight because they would pick up till "sometime" the next day?? i wasn't even at my new home because once again, it's not mine till the 14th. so i explained that and it should have never been delivered in the first place considering i cancelled it a WEEK prior and was reassured it wouldn't be delivered. i told them i can't access my home till the 14th and i'm not leaving it out for 4 full days. note: i cannot receive my refund of $750 until its officaly returned. Costco then told me that the only thing they can do is allow UPS to make three attempts to pick it up. i could not schedule these attempts and again, i do not live there yet. the earliest i was allowed to access my home is today (feb 13th.).. i was told all i have to do is put it on my porch. labels and all would be provided for me. however, first thing this morning, i get a message saying i am responsible for printing a COLORED hazard label indicating lithium batteries!?!? are. you. kidding. me. i don't have a colored printer. i am MOVING on top of that.. even my regular printer is PACKED. so, i would have to go to the library and PAY to print a label.. because yeah, i'm moving but i totally have time to run around and fullfill the wishes concerning a product i have spent over a week dealing with, insuring it wouldn't be delivered in the first place. Costco will not refund me until its returned, yet me already canceling it. i get that but it should have never been shipped as i called before it was!!! what a ridiculous headache that i HAVE NO TIME FOR!!! overall, I'm disgusted in how poorly the communication is with costco and how absolutely unhelpful they were. if costco wants to use ups, they need to have a feasible amount of communication between the two companies. i will NEVER order through costco again and am rethinking shopping there at all. Also quiet for a Sunday at lunchtime. We arrived on a whim to find a long line building at the food court, and were invited to try the order kiosks. Once our orders were placed, we found our way to a waiting spot just beyond the line of people waiting to order in person. Our orders were filled quickly, efficiently, and correctly and we were eating before the line had truly budged. We heard that the Hillsboro Costco Food Court has closed for the day so they were busier than usual, but it was still nothing compared to our Seattle Costco experiences. The actual store, however had only one available sample at 11:30-12:00 on this Sunday visit, with all other sample booths saying they needed between five and six minutes to prepare their foods. read more

I have been a member for over 30 years, spend about $2000 a year there. One year ago I bought a Midea 7 cubic foot chest freezer. Lasted 11 months, they won't repair or replace it. It states in the manual, "3 year warranty" Stopped freezing, I called them and was sent to the "concierge", who play the bad guy so Costco doesn't have to, and the concierge tell you to eat it. I am planning on leaving it at the return counter so they can enjoy a large useless metal box in their way also. We planned on purchasing new appliances for our newly remodeled kitchen, not from Costco after this experience since they apparently won't handle a warranty. read more

I am so happy that my Costco membership came in handy for this trip to OR. I had such a great shopping experience during this busy Sunday, I wish it was like this back home in Honolulu, Hawaii. We stopped here for some products that my college daughter needed. I really love this Beaverton Costco, which is my 3rd visit to this location. Super convenient, since we stayed at the Marriot nearby. Entering the parking lot, I noticed there are lots of parking, although the lot was full, we found a spot easily. We were able to browse around and got what we needed in less than 30 minutes. I enjoyed looking at the beautiful orchid and tulip plants, which I wish I could bring them back with me. I Noticed the great beer and wine selections, lots of product that are only available at this Costco, and of course, I noticed the lower prices for water, banana, avocados, eggs, spinach, etc. After we got what we needed, we were ready to check out. Every single cashier line was full but it really moved quick. The cashier are quick, I was 5th in line and I am surprised how quick the line moved. Overall, in & out of Costco in less than 30 minutes, this is my dream, but only in ORegon, makes shopping at Costco super easy.! Did I mention that, I Love this Costco?! I Will be back! read more

The store layout and product placement was reassuringly familiar, the staff was cheerful and helpful, and the mid-week lines were nonexistent. Remember, it's either date night or fight night: come here during the weekend samples offering and you can make it a trip, a meal, and a date all rolled into one. Huge parking lot wrapping the building, huge shopping carts perfect for four hands (so you and your honey can walk side by side, holding on), and let's not forget the inexpensive food court: pizza, hot dogs & sausages, and the soft-serve ice cream. read more
