Dayrin V. gave us very poor service. We had to ask multiple times for our drinks, she never brought them. We had to get up to get them from the bartender. When we got the drinks from the bartender we paid but she put them on our table's tab too. We had to ask the manager for the non alcoholic drinks because she wouldn't come to the table even after another server let her know we were waiting on her. The food order was placed wrong too, she said she asked for it correctly but the receipt shows it wasn't ordered how she said. She checked on us once. To add to the fun they also have a happy hour from 3-7pm Wed-Friday. Chips and salsa are provided when you sit down, the salsa is delicious. More chips will come automatically! Some of our favorite dishes are the tuna carpaccio which is half price during happy hour, the oriental tostadas ($5.95 all the time), tacos al Gobernador and the calamari. Food is always delicious, I highly recommend the Carpaccio both tuna and ribeye, the green shrimp enchiladas (only restaurant in SA where I actually like them), the noruega tostada topped of with the don morris habanero sauce (chef's kiss), chicharrón de rib eye is also in my top 5 dishes of this place. I ate for the first time at the restaurant. Our waitress was great and the food was enjoyable. The place is smaller than expected and can be very loud (people talking). The one thing that made me decide I won't go back was the "service charge" added to the bill. This is not something I expected and definitely not told about. We were excited to try this place and the ambiance is really cool and fun. The food was okay, I got carnitas tacos and they needed seasoning. The guacamole costa was good but didn't come with nearly enough chips. Rice and beans that came with my tacos was cold but tasted good. The service though was the worst. Kitty was a super sweet server. We were served chips and salsa right away. The red is medium and green slightly hotter. They serve lunch specials until 3pm, so we barely missed it, BUT happy hour is all day on Mondays and Tuesdays, so the house margarita and beef empanadas were a great deal. We visited on a late Sunday afternoon with a rather large party (8ish) and sat outside on the patio. Aside from us, there was only one other table with people when we initially got there. (This was not peak time for lunch or dinner). Service - 1 star Our first male waiter took our drink order, dropped off the waters and never returned. He took at least 10 minutes to take or drink order, then after he dropped them, it was at least 20 minutes before a different waiter showed up. She walks up and Asks if we were ready to order. I asked her what happened to the other waiter, she just said she would be attending us. She was nice, but everything took forever. Our glasses would go empty and she didn't return for a long time unless we found her. We were there for over two hours, and at least an hour was just an excessive waste of time. We waited for 25 minutes after she dropped off dessert and she never returned. Someone from our party had to physically get up and go find her. It took about 40 minutes after dessert was brought to settle our checks as one of the checks was incorrect. I get it, mistakes happen, but she could have gone over the tab to ensure everything was correct. An appetizer was never delivered, an extra drink charged was placed. Food and drinks- 4 stars All the food was delicious, even the fish sticks on the kids plate. It's unfortunate the service overshadowed the quality and taste of food. Friends brought us here for a nice lunch. It's a combination of casual and elegant. The servers were very nice and kept the chips and salsa flowing while we waited for our food. The chips are made fresh on site and I am confident that the salsa is as well. We started with a beautiful guacamole appetizer. As you can see, it has plenty of big chunk s of avocado in it. Ordered delivery from Costa Pacifica after reading some very positive Yelp reviews. I had to place the order through GrubHub and I must say their delivery was very quick resulting in the food still be warm. Thank you GrubHub. I order the coconut shrimp dinner. On the menu online the dinner was supposed to be $18. When I ordered it through GrubHub the price was $20.95. Not sure why the increase? I did get a delivery charge (which is fine and I expected it) and a tip charge (which too is fine). Can someone explain to me why the meal is almost 3 dollars more ordering it through Grubhub? I paid all the fees on top of the meal already?! The coconut shrimp was very good. The shrimp was large and tasty. The salad was fresh and the tomatoes were very ripe and good. As you can see in the picture the salad portion is quite small. Included in my order were chips and guacamole (I think it was guacamole). The guacamole had a soup like texture and it was a bit spicy. My family and I really enjoyed our food. The pasta was sooooo tasty. Of course the chips and salsa were bomb. Loved the fact that the piña colada came in a REAL coconut. Judging by the signage that have some great specials on different days of the week. The private sitting area looked like a cool spot for a celebration! We went there for dinner on Saturday, party of five and we were assessed a large party fee. This was an automatic gratuity of 18% and then an additional surcharge fee of 3%. Never knew a family of five was considered a large party. I know it expensive to run a business but there are many other places that don't charge these fees. Chose Costa Pacifica for lunch with the family after hearing some really good reviews from friends. We chose to sit outside since the weather was nice and their patio is a great setup! Service was good, nothing that really stood out for us but we were taken care of in a timely manner. I ordered the fish and chips and my wife ordered the shrimp Ensenada taco plate. My fish was well fried but was not too flavorful. The fries were under seasoned as well and surprisingly the rice that came with it was the most flavorful on my plate. My wife's tacos lacked flavor as well, even with a few sauces included. We ordered and I chose the mojarra frita and we also had the coconut shrimp. Overall the presentation of the plate was great. The food was good and well cooked. Both plates had a great taste to them and overall good flavor for the salad the fish and the rice. My boyfriend suggested hitting up Costa Pacifica for happy hour after our exam got canceled due to the recent ice storm. I have to say - he picked an excellent place to visit! Came to eat. Asked for an indoor table non were available at that moment. We sat outside while one opened up. From where we were sitting I could see there was an open table just needed to be cleaned up. But they claimed everything was still taken. This was a first. My sister decided we should take my mom out to lunch and this ended up being the place we chose. The hostess greeted us as soon as we came in, and she heard my sister speaking to my mom in Spanish therefore she spoke Spanish which I believe comforted my mom(she's disable). Our server was friendly not too attentive but his personality when at the table made up for that. The menu was interesting, we had no idea what to get. The drink menu was fun yet no prices on it, therefore we bought a drink that was $25!!!! Being new to an establishment I believe that should be told to the customer prior to preparing the drink. Food used to be amazing and we used to enjoy going to Costa but we just had a terrible experience and won't be back which is unfortunate since that was a meaningful place to us. Food was mediocre. The cost of the food was pretty average though but that was probably the best part. The lemonade cost us more than our meals. The service was absolutely terrible and I have never felt more of a bother to a bartender in my life. We practically had to beg for service and the place was not busy.
