Coso is a little gem off the main shopping road in Rome. As soon as you walk through the door, you realise immediately that it isn't your usual "off the beaten track" restaurant. The interior is extremely modern and the first thing you notice are the dozens of wines on offer.
My first experience here was with my partner and 3 friends, one of whom is as Italian as it gets. Almost every second word he speaks is "si", he has the cuffs of his pants rolled up just enough to see that he is wearing a pair of loafers with no socks and his name is Sanguigi. If anyone knows good Itaian food, it is Sanguigi. We shared two entrees, 6 mains and 2 bottles of wine and the only thing better than the wine was the service (grazie Niko!)
The food was very well priced and the quality of the food was amazing. I highly recommend fellow Yelp-ers have either the seafood Pancherri or the steak with mushrooms. While you're waiting for your delicious mains to come, order the focaccia bread and Parmesan cheese entree. The wine selection is endless and the atmosphere in general was superb.
Would I dine here again, given another opportunity in Rome? Well, as my moustached Italian friend Sanguigi would say, "molto si!"
