    Lasagna, carbonara, pasta e vino

I couldn't leave Rome without trying some authentic pasta and wine, and how funny is it that this place is literally called "Pasta and Wine". I came here with my fiancé and brother in law and we all stuffed our face with no regrets. Our waiter, Diego was so friendly and welcoming. He helped pair a good wine for our pasta and made sure everything was to our liking. Even the manager came in to check in on us to make sure we were having a good time. When life brings us back to Rome, this will be our go-to spot for amazing food and exceptional service. Tutto era delizioso. La vita è bella

Our dinner at Pasta e Vino Osteria in Trastevere was simply unforgettable. From the food to the service to the atmosphere it was everything we hoped for and more. We were warmly welcomed and looked after by Andrei, who was absolutely amazing. Kind, attentive, and full of great suggestions, he made the entire experience feel extra special. As for the food, wow! My children and I shared a few dishes: the lasagna, the fettuccine e vino, and the clams in garlic and white wine sauce. Every single bite was perfection. The lasagna was rich and comforting, the fettuccine silky and flavorful with sausage and pork and the clams were fresh, tender, and packed with garlicy goodness. Simple and amazing. The pasta is made fresh in-house, you can actually watch it being prepared near the entrance, which was such a fun touch for the kids. Prices were more than fair for such high-quality food. 5 stars for this amazing place!!!

Ventured out of my favorite area in Rome last night to try this place. The service is excellent, with no reservations was able to snag a table. There was a pianist inside playing classics and I was told that he is there Monday-Thursday. It made for a very nice ambiance. Now onto the entree, I had the Fettuccine with Carbonara Sauce. Listen, I don't consider myself a snob but I must say it isn't the best I have tried. The sauce was creamy but way too salty. The guanciale was too over cooked empowering a bitter taste to the meal. Overall, it's a cute place with a variety of authentic dishes that are just 3 stars worth in my opinion. Next I ordered dessert. It was a tiramisu (pictured). It was definitely made to order. But that alone won't bring me back. There is free wifi, if you're touristing. That's a plus!

Where to begin..... my husband and I first discovered this place 2 years ago while on a very extended stay in Rome. We ate here several times and tried different dishes each time we came. The food was always fresh and delicious along with the a wonderful helpful! Everything is made fresh and to order. You can even watch them thruout the day making pasta! Well, 2 years later we are back for an extended stay again. The food is just as amazing as before! This is not touristy food! This is authentic Italian food! You will not be disappointed!

This was okay. I had the ravioli with the nonna sauce which I thought was good and my husband had the spaghetti with mussels which he said was good. Good but not blown away for either dish. We also had the Greek salad and had a bottle of house wine. This all came to $71 euros. For the price I'd say we've had better meals in Rome for almost half the price, hence the 3 stars. The service was fine, quick and food good, I'd just say spendy for what you get.

service wasn't amazing, maybe because me and my friends were american, but the food was pretty good. you HAVE to get the tiramisu, one of the BEST things i've eaten in italy so far. it makes the restaurant a 10/10 alone

Fresh made pasta after order. It's located not far from the Santa Maria church but not a touristy trap. Food are very cheap and big portion. Self service and standing table only.

14 euro plus bread for meat flap.

I want to clarify that this review is for the newly opened sit down location. Located on via della pelliccia. You can't currently find it on maps but it is there. Being a student it took us no time to find what we wanted to order, but after 30 minutes they finally decided to take our order. We had to wave the waiter down multiple times to even get him to do this. The place wasn't even packed it had two people in it and then my table. Then, after ordering a water and a Bresato Manzo with bread we were presented with just cups. Fast forward another 15 minutes and we finally get our water. Now, I expected for the food to take a while because of the quality the first restaurant has, which I adore. We waited another 40 minutes and the food finally came, but instead of being given a delicious meal I was given a salty mud flap and no bread (which cost me extra). I had to once again wave the waiter down to try and get bread... honestly I love the restaurant so seeing this place operate the way it did was a disgrace. I hope they fix there situation but until then I do not recommend the restaurant.

This teeny tiny restaurant had some great reviews on TripAdvisor so we gave it a shot. It's a self-service establishment so you order at the front, pick up your own food, and clean up after yourself. I got the Pork shank and my friend got the spaghetti carbonara with bacon. They were both absolutely AMAZING!!! Everyone we spoke to in the restaurant (that could fit) fell in love with their dishes. Well priced, great location, and fantastic food -- you really can't go wrong!

Better than some restaurants I ate in. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce was alright. It's takeout, so not too high hopes for it

We ordered sea bass fillet rolled in zucchini and honey mushrooms. Fish was tender, soft, and delicious with great seasoning. We also ordered Ravioli with white truffles and it was delicious as well. Ravioli tasted like it was freshly made and it tasted great with truffles. Lastly, we got tiramisu for dessert. This tiramisu was prepared by an artist. Just by looking at the dish, it was very pretty to look at. It was presented on a beautiful plate with thin chocolate cookie on top with sugar decoration and underneath was a creamy white tiramisu. I loved this dish because it was unique dessert with great sweet flavor and great presentation. The service was excellent. Everyone was friendly with great attitude and they are attentive. I think they liked the look on my face every time they brought out the dishes because their presentation was great. Whoever was the Chef that night, I would give him or her an award. This restaurant was unique just like Rome. Highly recommended!

We opted for the Roman-style cuisine tasting menu with wine pairings. The service was warm and welcoming, and the ambiance was quiet and romantic. I appreciated the decor, especially the various wine bottles displayed throughout, and I also liked the dishes the food was served on. That said, this restaurant leaned a little too "foodie" for my taste. I also discovered that I really dislike truffles! My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed everything--including my leftovers. The wines were fantastic across the board. I also want to mention the pricing was shockingly affordable for what we got at dinner, which again, included the wine pairing. If you consider yourself a foodie and enjoy creative, thoughtfully prepared dishes, Ristorante Ad Hoc is worth a visit.

Abbiamo preso cinque panini per solo circa 30€! Il posto non era una trappola per turisti, ma devo dire che i sedili nel booth (il tavolo con divanetti) erano scomodi per me, e il locale era un po' piccolo. Scusate se non ho foto. Pane e Salame, however, was delicious!!!! On our first day in Rome, my husband and I decided to search for a lunch spot nearby (we were staying near the Trevi fountain), and I found this place had pretty good reviews. We got there about an hour after it opened and requested a seat outdoors. They have a tiny patio across from their entrance, but they fit quite a bit of people in it! We initially wanted to order two sandwiches to try more items, but I'm glad we just shared one - they were big and filling! We also had the small charcuterie board to share which was plenty of food for us both. We shared a bottle of rose, and all in all, we paid under $50 (usd) - what a steal! This was the perfect first meal in Rome. The food was incredibly fresh, the service was great, and the outdoor seating allowed us to experience the streets of Rome. 10/10 - would absolutely go back.
