Amazing food- but watch out of you're a tourist! Would give three stars but not fair to the owner that the server caused the downgrade. Food- amazing- all of it. Pasta, bread, cheese... Server- told him it's our first Italian meal- (with someone that live here) . Almost upsold us on the wine (two most expensive bottles at $130 per bottle - it's not that type of place. Thankfully person we were with caught that. Then at end of meal- said we owed cash tip on top of bill. We paid the cash tip- knowing it was definitely not part of what was expected. Tipping was already included on the bill. So we paid it on the credit card. He had some BS reason he said he needed cash for the extra $10. I paid it bc - not in the mood to fight it and not the end of the world- but definitely doesn't look good. Person I was with goes here often. Not sure he'll be good back as he knows we got scammed and was pretty irritated by it. read more

I came here with a group of 4 for dinner. We got handmade pasta and traditional Roman style pizza. Everything was delicious (though the pesto was a bit on the salty side). I couldn't leave Rome without trying some authentic pasta and wine, and how funny is it that this place is literally called "Pasta and Wine". I came here with my fiancé and brother in law and we all stuffed our face with no regrets. Our waiter, Diego was so friendly and welcoming. He helped pair a good wine for our pasta and made sure everything was to our liking. Even the manager came in to check in on us to make sure we were having a good time. Our dinner at Pasta e Vino Osteria in Trastevere was simply unforgettable. From the food to the service to the atmosphere it was everything we hoped for and more. We were warmly welcomed and looked after by Andrei, who was absolutely amazing. Kind, attentive, and full of great suggestions, he made the entire experience feel extra special. As for the food, wow! My children and I shared a few dishes: the lasagna, the fettuccine e vino, and the clams in garlic and white wine sauce. Every single bite was perfection. The lasagna was rich and comforting, the fettuccine silky and flavorful with sausage and pork and the clams were fresh, tender, and packed with garlicy goodness. Simple and amazing. The pasta is made fresh in-house, you can actually watch it being prepared near the entrance, which was such a fun touch for the kids. Ventured out of my favorite area in Rome last night to try this place. The service is excellent, with no reservations was able to snag a table. There was a pianist inside playing classics and I was told that he is there Monday-Thursday. It made for a very nice ambiance. Now onto the entree, I had the Fettuccine with Carbonara Sauce. Listen, I don't consider myself a snob but I must say it isn't the best I have tried. The sauce was creamy but way too salty. The guanciale was too over cooked empowering a bitter taste to the meal. Overall, it's a cute place with a variety of authentic dishes that are just 3 stars worth in my opinion. Next I ordered dessert. It was a tiramisu (pictured). It was definitely made to order. This was okay. I had the ravioli with the nonna sauce which I thought was good and my husband had the spaghetti with mussels which he said was good. Good but not blown away for either dish. We also had the Greek salad and had a bottle of house wine. This all came to $71 euros. For the price I'd say we've had better meals in Rome for almost half the price, hence the 3 stars. Our favorite place to eat in Rome. We went there 4 times! You can also call for an easy take-away. Delicious, authentic Roman food. The burrata melted in your mouth. The chocolate hazelnut torte was rich while also being subtle. We had it twice and took home left over pieces to eat with coffee in the morning. It was sublime. Great, fast, friendly service. One of my favorite restaurants in Rome, Italy. Actually this is my second visit in the last 2 months. Located in Trastevere in Via della Pelliccia it is a wonderful location to do some shopping and take a stroll down these ancient cobblestone streets after filling up on the best fresh pasta ever. How do I know its fresh? There is a cute little lady in the window making ravioli by hand, both times I have been here she is making something delicious. You have two options on seating, they have indoors with a pianist playing or outdoors under a big white tent with cafe lights strung, true Italian eatery, right? Be prepared because there will be a line but trust me it is worth the wait and besides people in the line are interesting to talk to. We meet some people from the Netherlands and then also from Albania. We started off with a nice bottle of Pinot Grigio and a Charcuterie that consist of 8 different meats, 5 different cheeses, mushrooms, olives, breads with spreads, honey and artichokes. I probably missed something but it was beautifully presented and was delicious. We moved on to Pasta Acqua Farina Gricia (Carbonara) and Fettuccini Ragu Carne (Bolognase ). Wow the flavor of the pastas was unbelievable , you can certainly tell that these are freshly made. The Carbonara was very very good, the flavor was out of this world and not too spicy, just the right blend of seasoning to bring out the flavor, The Ragu was great as well it was a nice blend of meats with a hearty flavor. We had to order the Pannacotta Caramello, it is amazing and the perfect end to a delightful flavorful dinner. Please don't let the lines discourage you their food is AMAZING and you will be like me wanting to come back again and again. read more

We set out in a walk to kill some time till our favorite bar opened and we're immediately sucked in by the amazing woman making fresh pasta in one of the open doors. I want to clarify that this review is for the newly opened sit down location. Located on via della pelliccia. You can't currently find it on maps but it is there. Being a student it took us no time to find what we wanted to order, but after 30 minutes they finally decided to take our order. We had to wave the waiter down multiple times to even get him to do this. The place wasn't even packed it had two people in it and then my table. Then, after ordering a water and a Bresato Manzo with bread we were presented with just cups. Fast forward another 15 minutes and we finally get our water. Now, I expected for the food to take a while because of the quality the first restaurant has, which I adore. We waited another 40 minutes and the food finally came, but instead of being given a delicious meal I was given a salty mud flap and no bread (which cost me extra). I had to once again wave the waiter down to try and get bread... honestly I love the restaurant so seeing this place operate the way it did was a disgrace. I hope they fix there situation but until then I do not recommend the restaurant. read more

This teeny tiny restaurant had some great reviews on TripAdvisor so we gave it a shot. It's a self-service establishment so you order at the front, pick up your own food, and clean up after yourself. This is like the Chipotle of pasta joints. You pick your pasta then your sauce and they make it fresh. The wait time is a bit long, but that's b/c they are cooking your meal fresh. The portion size was surprisingly big. It was very affordable and very filling. It's probably some of the best pasta I had on my trip. I'm not sure that I would go out of my way to visit it if I was visiting Rome again, but I would definitely stop in, if I happened to be close. Great spot for a casual lunch. Oh my gosh... LOVE!!!! I love love love Trastevere. I love everything about it! I also loved this cute, quaint, fun little restaurant! We came to the Trastevere neighborhood to just explore and get lost in and it was one of my favorite parts of the trip. While we were exploring, we came upon this restaurant and it was perfect. It almost had a French country feel inside and was so cute and quaint. It was the perfect atmosphere. The food was a made to order type thing and was so delicious. You get to choose your noodles and sauce, which is so fun! We also got to watch one of the chefs make pasta when we were there and that just added to the experience.
