Most recently I stopped in on Wednesday Dec 17th to get an order from an online purchase my wife made about a week prior. They let you take about a week yo come pickup items you order online giving you plenty of flexibility with your schedule on when you can stop in, which is nice. This place has tons of hair care products, makeup, perfumes too. They're going to sell products here you can't buy at Target or WalMart. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and helpful with you finding what you need. I know I'll get the help I need when I stop in here for a visit.

I told her I had a 10:30 appointment. She looked at me like I had two heads and asked "With who?!" I said "Dr. Blum". She said "Oh...no. He's on medical leave. I'm sorry but didn't anyone call you?" I refrained from responding "Yes...but I decided to drive here anyway." I explained that I had just driven from Marin AGAIN and all she did was escort me to the door and repeat that she was sorry. If you're going to close 15, 20, or even 30 minutes early, then the posted hours need to reflect that so customers aren't wasting their time showing up expecting to be able to shop. What makes this even more disappointing is that today, I ended up driving all the way to Stockton to another one of my favorite beauty supply stores that is not Sally's, Luxyl Beauty Supply, and let me just say, they were spectacular. I called at 7:50 PM to make sure they were still open since they close at 9:00, and they absolutely were. Do not blindly pay your medical bills! You have to call your insurance provider and three-way call the practice to question and dispute any charges. Maybe it has nothing to do with this branch bc they have a main branch somewhere else but it reflects poorly on their entirely organization. The lady on the phone didn't even apologize or explain how the over-billing happened when confronted by my insurance. She just shortly said the charges are removed now and hung up. It was as if she was caught doing something wrong. I don't know if that's something that happens all the time to others who don't pay attention so I thought I'd warn everyone about that. I hate to deal with insurance and this kind of paperwork but glad I sucked it up and called. PSA: Please review your bills carefully and call your insurance if something doesn't make sense! I was almost out $183 for nothing! I doubt they would return any "erroneous" payments so don't pay until you're perfectly clear about what you're paying for! It just rubbed me the wrong way when there was no apology for their mistakes. I have a gut feeling they try to slip one by people all the time and they got caught this time. My whole family comes to her cause she is simply amazing! Recently she turned me from a dark haired brunette into a blonde and I have never received so many compliments on my hair! Honestly, I thought no one would be fond of my change but everyone loved it and always mention how well my hair stylist did on the transformation! Although my hair has been through a lot of processing to make the blonde possible, it still looks really healthy and natural. She did not just bleach it into a flat blonde, rather she took a different approach. While this approach was a little more time consuming, it made all the difference. My hair still looked healthy and natural and people notice! I couldn't be happier with it! What I love about Sylvia is that she is honest. She is concerned with the overall health of your hair and will let you know if she feels that a desired look will be too taxing or damaging to your hair.
