He helped me with my previous surgical nightmare with two botched nightmare breast lifts (done by Dr. williams at Fri valle plastic surgery), that Mcnemar completely and flawlessly fixed. I had to go back to him to re work my nipples this time from the prior surgeons work. This procedure was in office without sedation, that I was extremely nervous for. Wish I could post a review based on my experience but after waiting 50 minutes I was never seen. In fairness to them, I was running a few minutes late but I called and they assured me it would be no problem to still come in and be seen around my appointment time. I waited 40 minutes in the waiting lobby, 10 minutes in a room but was not seen and had to get back. They didn't attempt to reschedule my appointment despite leaving politely. **THIS REVIEW IS FOR OFFICE STAFF** 3 very rude and unprofessional encounters within a month of trying to set up my surgery. 1st visit for a consultation and the legal paperwork to fill out before even talking with Dr. McNemar was very lawyered up so I had questions / concerns before signing. One of the receptionists wasn't too familiar with the documents so another stepped in and was EXTREMELY SHORT, RUDE AND RUSHED! I'm not the cosmetic surgery type and have never had a consultation before (my needs are medical necessity). 2nd called in and was told I'd get a call back regarding the matter. No returned call...... 3rd called back about the same matter. Same rude receptionist as before. REFUSED to put a very necessary note on my file for insurance purposes. REFUSED to let me speak with the specific individual I needed for the matter. Again EXTREMELY SHORT, AND RUDE, trying to get me off the phone and cutting me off numerous times! HUNG UP ON ME! Wouldn't answer the phone after hanging up on me! I'm assuming there was caller I.D. I think the gals being new there it might have been communication issues, and perhaps their job duties were not understood. So I have finally made an initial visit with Deborah in nov.2020. she explained what she can help me with and what she will be doing throughout each step of the facial and was very happy to have an open discussion about other options to consider that would benefit a woman my age and my skin care concerns. I had an approval from my insurance in December of 2017. They could not schedule me for a consultation until August of 2018. I waited and did the consultation because this is who my primary Dr recommended. I asked the Dr about a few extra things and he literally told me to go on Amazon to buy his book and I could get all my questions answered. I left the office and went to the front desk and the lady told me that if I wanted to pay for some cosmetic surgery the Dr could get me in faster. I declined so she said he would be able to get me in, in about 9 months so got the paperwork to get my insurance approval filled out then I left. Fast forward to this week 6/14/2019 I finaly got my insurance approval so I called to make my appointment. I was told by the office that the Dr is booked up until July of 2020 for insurance cases. I told her my approval was good for 3 months and she told me that there are lots of people waiting. Unless I wanted to buy other cosmetic surgery because the Dr is not really doing insurance cases anymore. I told her I have waited 2 years and already had a consultation she again said "well there is a long list of people waiting because the Dr makes more money with private money then with insurance cases". I told her I was not sure what to do and she said "call your primary care Dr and have him find you another surgeon."... ok that is what I did. I called today to get started with another Dr. Because I have 2 years wasted, and they really expect people to wait like this. They said 9 MONTHS I waited and now it would be another year. No thank you. ***up date I do have real Aetna private insurance from my job. I got my approval changed to a different Sutter approved facility and they were able to get me in right away. Plus they will give me a belly button, lypo to smooth me out and stitch up my muscles to make an inner corset. The Dr. Has amazing reviews and since I have already waited so long my surgery is scheduled for August of this year. read more

I was in Hawaii after my surgery and had questions not thinking anyone would call me back right away since Hawaii is 4 hours ahead. Dr. M called me back right away at 6:30 am western time and provided answers. He also joked around and said "I should have brought my surgeon to Hawaii." I went to a few consultations and didn't feel comfortable with them, but with Dr M., he's approachable and professional. An hour of my time GONE without an acknowledgement or apology. If this is how I'm DISREGARDED at the onset I can only imagine what the process and outcome would consist of. I went to Dr. McNemar after my first bad experience with Tri Valley. Right away I felt so comfortable and relaxed speaking with the Dr. and he answered all my questions at length and was very friendly and professional. After I received a quote from the office, I explained I had a slightly lower quote from another doctor (which I had no intentions of using) and they happily matched it. I had my breast reduction and lift in Dec. 2011 and today July 18,2012 with plenty of time to heal and "settle in" I can say that I am very pleased with the results. After the procedure I had a small problem with my breasts that seemed to be an allergy and I saw the doctor several times right after the surgery and he was very concerned and even called me at home to check on me with the problem but it eventually went away. The reason I am only giving 4 stars out of 5 is because once my "problem" disappeared, so did the doctor and the office. I never heard back and I was supposed to see them periodically for a year. I don't plan on making a call on my own and If there is a problem which I do not foresee, I would call, but for now, all is fine. read more

I have been getting Dysport injections for the last year. I first started with Dr. Blum and then moved over to Dr. McNemar. They are professional and I love the results. As far as appointments are concerned, expect to sit in the waiting room for at least an hour plus! If I wasn't so desperate for my crows feet and wrinkled forehead to be gone when I came in for that, I would have left and never came back. My first appointment, I sat in the waiting room for three hours. The procedure I had done on my face, I sat for another hour, and in fact the doctor wasn't even in the office and showed up in the room and hour and a half later after my scheduled surgical appointment. I gave them one last chance and the last appointment, I sat in the waiting room for an hour and then another 30 minutes once I got in the room! They are extremely expensive and way overpriced. The tough part is that he is the only plastic surgeon in Tracy, but I seriously do not have hours at a time to sit in the waiting room for my appointment, so driving a distance to Stockton or Fremont might be worth it. read more

The staff here is horrible !!!! Rude and just nasty !!! I had a breast reduction and it was not what I expected I now have one breast larger than the other and my nipples are missed placed !!!! I went back and was told my breast was the problem !!!! And he could do a revision , I was told by the nasty rude staff I had a out of pocket cost of $7000 plus my insurance would be billed !!!Also I was told I had to wait a year to get a surgery date and four months just to get back in for another consultation !!! I was told I would get a call back that never happen!! I have been having neck and back pain for several years now. I have extremely large breast and I work in the dental field so I carry a lot of weight on my shoulders, neck and back. I knew I need a breast reduction but with insurance and out of pocket expenses I knew it was going to be a few years before I could get it done. When I first called to make a consultation appointment I had to wait like 6 weeks to get in which was sad for me because I wanted to get it done as soon as possible. However, I am glad I waited and not looked for an appointment with someone else sooner. Consultation appointment: Dr. Mcnemar is very nice and makes you feel comfortable (even without your clothes on lol) I brought my sister for moral support but honestly if she didn't come I would have been ok because Dr. McNemar and his staff are excellent. I received nothing but the best service all around. Day of surgery: Dr was very nice and comforting and made sure the nursing staff took care of me. I was very relaxed and surprisingly not nervous. Everything went smoothly and I am more than happy with the results. Recovery: Surprisingly very little pain. Very uncomfortable and scared to pop stitches but otherwise my recovery was very smooth. Dr. McNemar staff called to check on me the next day. Post-op: the only reason I am giving 4 stars is because of wait times. However, I know that the doctor needs to give every patient quality care and that means taking his time. When he comes in to see me, he never rushes or makes me feel rushed. I received Dysport for the first time a month ago from Dr. McNemar and am beyond pleased with the results. I had it injected into my forehead and that night there was already a huge difference- Huge! By the 3rd day my forehead looked fabulous! I will continue getting this done from now on and taking better care of my skin in general. It was my first time every having any cosmetic procedures done and I was afraid I would be picked apart by the Dr but he was very nice (didn't recommend anything that would hurt my feelings like I thought might happen haha- nose job- complete face lift - brow lift etc) and he explained everything that he was going to do and what to expect. He wanted me to come back in a month for a follow up so he could see the results of the Dysport. I was just there today for that and another consultation on something else. Again, he answered all of myself and my husband's questions and explained everything. I am extremely happy with my experience with this office so far. I do realize people are upset about the wait time and I have to admit it is excessive. It's the only reason I am not giving 5 stars. The thing you have to remember is people that are here are having things injected into their faces and having consultations for tummy tucks, breast augmentation etc- do you really want someone to rush thru that? I don't-No way. So just be prepared to wait possibly at least an hour plus or maybe try and schedule a morning appointment when they first open instead.
