After I approached the front desk, the gal who assisted me was pleasant. The waiting room was spacious and had lots of seating. Short wait. Once I was in the exam room, it did not take long (about 10 min.) for Dr. Herbold to come in. The doc was friendly and actually extended his hand when introducing himself! Wow! He then took his time to check out my facial skin with his special eye goggles. He also thoroughly explained my condition to me and answered my questions. I did not feel rushed. If needed, I would return here for treatment. It was a pleasant experience.

I waited over 50 minutes past my scheduled time, and only found out my appointment had been moved and another patient was taken instead because my paperwork wasn't completed -- something that was not communicated to me at all. No one updated me until I asked how much longer I would have to wait, and even then I was told it would be another 10 minutes, but no one followed up and nothing happened. The lack of communication and respect for patient time was very frustrating. At this point, I would rather travel 300 miles to see my regular dermatologist than deal with service like this again.

(All were polite, even the medical assistant in the examine room was very nice & listened to every thing I had say about visit) Doctor (Castillo) was very helpful and answered all my questions. What I appreciate the most, was that my prescriptions were sent to the pharmacy even before I left their office, physically, which, was a 10/10 for me because from past experiences, my doctor's office sometimes "forgets" to send them or has sent them later in the day, which delays the pick up especially if you need your meds which can be bothersome and sometimes annoying. Overall, I am happy with my visit.

Unfortunately, my recent visit with the new female doctor was very frustrating. I came in with multiple concerns, but she spent only a couple of minutes with me and seemed eager to leave while I was still speaking. On top of that, the front desk staff was rude and unwelcoming. Customer service and patient care have noticeably declined. This office used to be better than even Sutter Dermatology in my opinion, but sadly that is no longer the case. I would not recommend spending your time, money, or insurance benefits here anymore.

Instead for months they allowed my daughters situation to get worse with no real answers, so SHAME ON SJ HEALTH CLINICS & Allergy Clinic off of Pacific in Stockton! Thank you so much Dr Sharma. We appreciate you! She was prompt, detailed, offered me all the options for care with the risks. However I would say her front desk receptionist (2 young ladies) could have some better customer service attributes. No welcome in, no smile, no thank you. They just seemed like they hated their job. Maybe it was just an off day? Either way no biggie and it won't stop me from ever needing to come back to discuss any other issues that may arise for my daughter in the future.
