Okay so this is an unpopular opinion, but I think Cosmo Burger is pretty average for a burger place. I'm not sure if it was all the five star reviews, or the photos I've seen, but I was geared up and ready to be blown away by this little unassuming burger joint. I came on a weekend, ordered a cheeseburger with tots and extra burger sauce - I mean, who doesn't love a specialty condiment? We ordered at the kiosk and our food came out in a reasonable time. No complaints from anyone at the table (me, my husband, our daughter, and a friend), but everyone agreed it didn't quite live up to the overall hype. The burger sauce to me tasted like a very run of the mill honey mustard. I was happy to have it, but it wasn't exactly what any of us were expecting. I think it's really more of a 3.5, but I'm rounding up to 4 stars since the burger was tasty and I do think I'll return sometime when I'm in the area. Overall - Cosmo Burger delivers a good, standard burger that will 100% scratch the itch you have for a good old fashioned cheeseburger. I'll be back to see if maybe I just missed something, but for me it just wasn't the best in this genre.

Great burgers! I was a little bit disappointed that they had no onion rings or fries. However, the tater tots are great & you get a generous portion. A double-bacon cheeseburger with tots and a craft beer were all I could eat.

I really wanted to give this place more stars, but the customer service during each have been extremely poor. If this review was solely based off of the food I would give it 10 stars if I could! My first visit it wasn't busy and I came with my family and the bartender did not acknowledge us. We discovered that we can pay at the kiosk or online after standing there for a few minutes assuming it was like all the other restaurants inside the public market where the person behind the counter took the order. I ordered a single without pickles and my partner order a triple the same way with sauce on the side for both. We got everything on the burger except the grilled onions? Despite missing something I would call a key piece, the burger was still very good! This time I came on the way to an event to grab the special "red zone" burger. I tried to order in the kiosk, but did not see an option to add extra patties to one of the special burgers. I sat at the bar assuming it would be easier to order here. 10 minutes passed TWO servers looked at me and served everyone else around me, but me. I assumed like last time that maybe we could not order at the bar, but then I overheard one of the servers take another customers order. I understand it was busy and I have worked in the service industry for over ten years. A simple acknowledgment goes a long way since I'm sitting at the bar, patiently waiting with a smile. I believe it is extremely unfortunate that some businesses could thrive more if they hired people who actually want to help others. As I was checking the burgers to make sure everything was on them since the first time it wasn't and I wasn't eating here this time, one of the servers I assume felt offended? Very dramatically walks up and asks if everything was okay....well if you would have asked me that when I sat there for 10 minutes instead of staring I would have let you know then it was not, but since there are different ways to order without having to communicate with the people behind the counter I got the job done! The public market seems like a great place to be with family and friends and I do not want to feel uncomfortable coming to eat such incredible food! I know the back of the house (cooks) cannot control how the front of the house (servers) treat the customers directly, but I do think it goes hand in hand. Again, the burgers were EXCELLENT! The onion ring and house made bbq sauce paired perfectly on the freshly smashed patty. I hope this special finds a "special" place on the menu because it can easily be a staple! Just don't want to climb through trenches of bad service to enjoy it.

Yeah buddy! This was just the burger I needed! Ordering at the station was very easy. The sign said it would be a 10-15 minute wait, but I think my food was ready in about 5 minutes. The burger was fantastic. It was a classic smash, with a great sauce. I was worried the sauce would overpower the meat, but it was a perfect complement. The tots were an ideal golden brown. The meal was delicious and cost effective. I'll definitely be back! Great good, great location!

Fantastic smash burger if you ask me! The menu was small but simple and I loved that. The only reason I am giving it a 4 star is because it could be a little cheaper. If you want to add anything to your burger you're talking at least a $2 up charge for something like bacon or green chilies. The homemade sauce was stellar, I ended up having to go buy an extra sauce for .75 cents because I am a saucy girl. The wait was about 15 minutes but we grabbed a beer at the bar while we waited. Overall the taste was there for me but the price wasn't.

The burgers here are delicious! The sauce they use is so flavorful. We love the original Cosmo and this place is just as good. You order on a tablet and a few minutes later you get a text when your order is ready. The vibe at the Lenexa market is very casual. We come midweek and sometimes you'll see a balloon artist and sometimes they have story time.

This new burger place turned out to be a good addition to the restaurant options at Lenexa Public Market. The single cheeseburger ($7.00) and tots ($4.00) were ready 10 minutes after I ordered at one of the two kiosks. Pricing was a la carte without any combos. The burger was fair to good and fairly sized with a perfectly cooked patty on a fresh bun, while the generous portion of tots was moist and delicious with a creamy dipping sauce. The restaurant shares the clean and nice dining area with background music at Lenexa Public Market and offers a full bar with four TVs. I'm thinking 3.5 stars and rounding up for the tasty tots.

What a fantastic burger! Located in the Lenexa Public Market, the vibe of this place is fantastic. The service was great and the food - seriously one of the best burgers ever! It was loaded with caramelized onions, mustard, and pickles. The flavor was on point! We also had the Tater Tots which were okay - would have preferred fries. But I would totally recommend Cosmos!

it doesn't get much better than a cheeseburger, tots, and ice cold beer on the menu: double cheeseburger with an egg, single cheeseburger with an egg, tots x 2, and draft beers our thoughts: there's a reason the burgers from Cosmo Butger are one of KC's favorites. simple ingredients done really well makes for a truly delicious burger, and one we keep coming back for our tip: definitely don't skip the tots and highly recommend adding an egg, it makes an already delicious burger even more decadent

I ordered the single burger with tots. Sauce on the side because it is my first time eating here and honestly, it was delicious. Tots were crunchy and burger was tasty, very flavorful. Definitely recommend for a quick bite! Service was fast and the lady was super nice.

A last minute dinner date with a friend landed my wife and me at Lenexa Public Market's Cosmo Burger. Not only was this my first visit to Cosmo Burger, but it was also my first time at the Lenexa Public Market. It's a cool venue - kind of "food court-y" with restaurants and vendors around the perimeter and common shared seating in the center. I had heard the buddy who invited us talk about Cosmo Burger in the past, but my preconceived notions were off. Unlike most burger places, their menu is very simple: You can order a single, double, or triple. There are only a few options for customization, and the only side they sell is tots. They have Coca-Cola products available from the fountain, and they also offer a selection of wine, beer, and cocktail choices. That said, I ordered a double burger with no modifications, a side of tots, and a whiskey smash. The drinks were made immediately and we took them to find a table. Not long after that they texted my buddy to let him know our food was ready. The burger wasn't what I expected: The patties were thin (don't equate that to mean "small"-- they were generous)... but this was clearly a "smash burger." The bun was fresh and delicious, the meat well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The cheese was delightfully melted and there were a couple of pickles which added a nice pop of flavor. The tots were as perfect as tots get. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. My drink was also great... not too much. Not too little. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was the price. While the food wasn't "over" priced, it also wasn't a bargain. I think what you're paying for is a consistently good product served in a really cool space. Would I go back? Certainly. Would I take a friend here? Absolutely. All in all I find it to be a winner.

What kind of oil is used for the tots? and are the vegan burgers nut free including cheese\sauce? thx

We use canola oil for our tots and all of our products are nut free. The buns we source are made in a facility that may have contact with nuts, but our kitchen does not contain any nuts whatsoever.

Tater kegs were good, taste and size-wise. But we wound up hardly eating much of the fried pickles. They were drowned in salt, so much so even the ranch couldn't compensate or cover it up. My wife got the unlimited wings. She tried three different flavor of wings, all very salty to the taste. Sweet Chili, the Popping Pineapple and the Teriyaki. And the teriyaki really didn't taste like teriyaki at all. My daughter had the veggie burger, and she said it was very salty. I ordered the deviled eggs and the jalapeno creamed corn. The deviled eggs were good; filling was a little runnier than I usually like in a deviled egg. The jalapeno creamed corn had some good spice, but another dish that had entirely too much salt in it. When my wife and first got there to get the table for our party, the host asked if we had the app. We did not, he instructed us how to download it, and told us we'd be getting an email for a free burger. He also told us about the 20% off "Vintage" discount for seniors, of which I am one. At the end of our meal, the server (who was really cool, by the way) gave us our bill, which totalled with tax $165 plus some change. I told him I was a senior and wanted the vintage discount. He brought in iPad over, entered a couple things and brought us a new bill. I glanced at it and it said $163 and some change. So I walked after him and asked him if I paid up front and that's where they gave the discount. He said no you pay me and I did give you the discount. Sure enough, on the receipt, it was saying vintage discount......$2.60. Now I use math in my head every day for work as an air traffic controller, so it didn't take me long to figure out $2.60 is WAY BELOW 20% off of $165. I was looking for some fine print somewhere that might explain this particular math conundrum. Couldn't find anything. I was going to find our server or a manager, but the family was ready to go, and since it was a birthday my wife didn't want me to make an issue of it, so we left. Not happy with the liberal usage of salt in everything, and with today's prices, especially not happy with the issue with the discount that was about 18% short. Probably won't be back.
