This is a new place in White Center. New and clean place to bring your laundry. Super big washers. They ladies were very nice. They also do car detail, area rugs, and alterations. CORRY'S RUINED MY ONLY CASHMERE SWEATER ! Brought it in as recommended on the label. And they SHRUNK IT. Corry's promised they could "stretch" it back to its correct shape. Instead they ruined the shape. Stretched it HORIZONTALLY when it had shrunk vertically. They knew this. But the arms are still completely shrunken and it just looks horrible. I am not one of those people who have a bunch of cashmere sweaters. This was AN INVESTMENT piece and I was doing everything right to take care of it. The lady I spoke to on the phone was rude and didn't want to address my concerns; instead, she cut me off and just transferred me to her coworker sitting right next to her--I could hear her voice again in the background. Do not recommend for alterations. Brought in 3 pairs of slacks that each had one cuff needing attention. $160 for 3 cuffs or $53 a cuff. I can't even imagine how much a suit or dress alteration would be. read more

They are pricey compared to other places but the staff is SO friendly! I'll pay a few extra bucks for great service. I took a jacket there and the stain didn't come out the first time so they offered to try again for free. It still didn't come out but it looks better and I appreciated the extra effort. Really expensive! "Free" pick-up and delivery is only "Free" after you pay a fee to join the service! Most recently $18.47 for one men's cotton sweater, more that 1/3 of what it cost! We just picked up our dry cleaning. The cost to clean 2 sweaters and a velvet top came to more than $50! We moved here from Chicago, where we never paid this much for dry cleaning. Don't be fooled by the stores high end appearance or the higher prices they charge because this is in no way an indication of the quality of service you will receive. When I told them about their mistake (ironing two sets of creases on each sleeve or as I like to call it - RailRoad Tracks) I was amazed with how unconcerned the staff was about my complaint. Warning: Expensive, Bad Service and low quality! New to the area the convenience brought me in. After bringing in a few items and seeing the high price I figured at least the quality would be good for those few items. I brought in a dress that I had paid $60 for that had some wine stains. The stains were removed but the clips on the tag formt he dry cleaners completely mishaped the collar. I brought it back and they said they would iron it. After picking it up it looked better until I tried it on. It completely hangs wrong on my neck and now I can't wear it without a jacket. It cost $20 to clean a 3rd of the price and they ruined the dress. I received no offer to compensate the ruined item. After 3 times in there they gave me a form to fill out and bring back in with the dress. I honestly dont even want to go back. The service is awful they act like robots that have no power to fix anything. I also had decided to have my Wedding Dress cleaned here (big mistake). They sent it off and when I picked it up it was in a huge box, I mean huge I coudn't fit it anywhere in my house. I brought it back and asked if they could check for another size as my dress is simple lace and silk without a lot of ruffles. They kept it another week but I don't think even checked. I had brought it in a cloth carrier and they claimed they coudn't find it. In the end I bought a box on my own picked up the dress and received no compensation for having to purchase an additional $40 box. My frustration is a lack of connection or attempt at offering good customer service. The older lady and the younger lady both acted like there was nothing they could do. Its to bad because I live a block away and have lots of dry cleaning needs. I would have paid the price if the quality and service were good. read more

I brought in a few shirts, a couple of sweaters, a pair of pants and a dress or two and somehow my bill was $130. Holy crap! My clothes came out clean and the staff there was friendly and nice, but they do seem a tad more expensive than other places. I agree with most other reviews! called this location because it's close to where I live, I was quoted $350 to clean a 4x6 rug.. $350 DOLLARS!! When I asked if she had made a mistake she assured me she hadn't. Well I asked why so much she told me that's what it cost to clean a rug that size. Corry's is my fall back plan if I can't get parking at House of Kleen. Corry's is reliable and the parking is worry free. They always confirm if my standard starch and packaging requirements are OK, which is a nice reminder as I may not need the usual sometimes. Prices are higher than House of Kleen. read more

I have been taking my husband's work clothing here for a while, mainly when I need the one day turnaround. They are definitely more expensive than most for even standard service. I recently brought in several dress shirts and two pairs of dress pants for next day service. Came back the following afternoon to be told by the young lady who works afternoons that one of the things hadn't made the dry cleaning run and I'd have to come back the following day for it, and was that Ok? I said no, it wasn't ok but seeing as there was nothing to be done, I'd come back. Her response was "Sorry, my bad.". I looked at what she had brought up for me to take and it was the dress shirts only. I was frustrated, and assumed both pants had failed to be cleaned. I paid for the shirts and came back the following afternoon. She brought the pants up and proceeded to charge me full price. I told her I wouldn't be paying for full price expedited service when I didn't get that. She proceeded, very condescendingly, to tell me one pair of pants WAS done before and that it wasn't her fault that the other pair didn't get taken. Why would you not give me the pair of pants that was done yesterday with the rest of the stuff? We got into a bit of a testy exchange where, in the end, she told me all she could do was take off 5 dollars and I'd have to call Tanya in the morning for anything else, reiterating it wasn't her fault that this had happened. As I pulled out of the parking lot after paying an exorbitant amount for pants that weren't cleaned in a timely manner, she made faces at me like a 5 year old child. I will NEVER give this place my business again and I would seriously suggest they do a better job at hiring professional and courteous employees. read more

Anyone who owns a white down coat and commutes to downtown every day has probably seen their white down coat turn to black. Mine was a magnet for soot, grime and whatever else the city could dish out. I have taken my coat to different dry cleaners over the years and none of them were able to remove all the grime. Until I took it to Corry's in West Seattle. I just picked it up and it is sparkling white from top to bottom. Looks brand new. Yes, it might be a little pricey (but still seemed reasonable), but for me it was worth it because they actually delivered me a totally clean coat. read more

This is my first online review ever. I am writing it because the service at Cory's was THAT bad. I had been a regular customer there, spending hundrds of dollars in recent years. Several months ago, I brought in a men's cashmere sweater for cleaning. No one alerted me to any potential problem. But when I picked up the garment a week later, it was unwearable and unrepairable -- riddled with enormous holes. Ok, things happen. But not only did Cory's refuse to reimburse me for the cost of the sweater -- or even half -- they actually insisted that I pay the cleaning fee that had ruined it, which was more than $10. I took my 8 year old gortex jacket in for a cleaning and water proofing at Corry's in West Seattle (it cost $245 new and yes I know it's older). I had called ahead and got a quote of $19, then whe I dropped it off I was told I had to pay $27 because it is considered an "overcoat" not a "jacket". I paid it and a few days later, when it was "finished", they called me and I went to pick it up. Not only was it still dirty, but the fabric was bubbling up because it had separated from itself. The gal behind the counter (who was nice) said "It was definately not like that when you brought it in cuz I would've noticed that". She asked me to leave the jacket for her manager to take a look. I agreed. She called me back the next day and informed me that the manager said that when gortex gets old it can "break down" and that re-cleaning it would only make that worse. She also informed me that I can fill out a form to get my cleaning fees back, if I wanted to, but she could not do any refunds in store. I filled out the form and left the jacket, once again, so it could be sent with my "complaint" suposedly to Corry himself. A few days later I got a letter from Corry stating that they do not ever claim to be able to get any garment "completely clean" and that since my overcoat was 8 years old and the typical lifespan of an overcoat is 3 years it had already outlived its life. They would not refund my cleaning fee. I would not recommend taking your item there unless it is brand new, you have a receipt and you don't really care what happens to it....The long and the short.....I washed it (as per label) for all of those years with no problem and after one trip to Corry's my jacket is no longer water proof at all and it is ugly with dirty spots and areas of separated fabric - totally unwearable....all beacause I took it to Corry's Drycleaning in West Seattle. :( BEWARE!! read more

Hey, you should all be ashamed of yourselves for bagging on an honest small business. Go write bad reviews of a pharmaceutical manufacturer, or worse yet, Apple or Microsoft. I just used Corry's in West Seattle for the first time, it was definitely the best of three different in West Seattle that I've used. If you'd like you can go pay "A LITTLE" less somewhere else and get your clothes back dirty and covered in rotten chemicals. You know, these places you all bag on can't please every naggy person with a chip on their shoulder, so I hope people are smart enough to realize that because you read something on the internet(S) it's generally the OPINION of a bored grumpy person. I let them know when I went in that people were trashing them. Too many people read this stuff and take it for truth and that can damage honest people trying to run honest business'. So be ashamed or find a more positive hobby. There is something disturbing about Yelp and other new forces. I don't completely trust what is happening here. Read something about censorship. This is going to end up being too much power for irresponsible people. Thanks. I'd say, get your clothes cleaned at Corry's. They were friendly, did a super thorough job, and showed plenty concern for their customer. I'm trying out their rug cleaning next week on my Grandma's ancient oriental rug.
