Plenty of street parking infront of the shops down the street, though it is always busy and spots are always taken. The laundromat is nice and clean. Machine is clean and new. There are spots to sit and wait for your laundry, some arcade games, and they even sell slushies(?) and stuffs there if you need. For my comforter dry cleaning, it's a flat of $70+ (after tax). You drop it off and they'll tell you how long they'd need to get it done (5-6days). But you will get a text message when it's ready. I went to pick it up and decided to take a look right away. Glad I did, because it seems it wasn't cleaned right. The light-yellow ish stain from sweat wasn't even cleaned off. So i immediately showed it to the staff and they right away offered a second time dry clean for free. For this, I thought mistake/subpar quality was made but customer service to make up for it was acceptable. Would still give it another go at this location if I have anything to dry clean next time

They were extremely quick to respond to my inquiry via texting, asked great questions to get a sense of how much cleaning the dress would need (they requested some pictures of the stains up front), and gave me a quote for the cost that I felt was very reasonable. The pickup and drop-off part of this service is AMAZING, especially for someone with a busy schedule! They scheduled pick up at my house within a week despite having a high demand for wedding dress cleaning at the time, and sent me an update about what they were planning to do once they had their wedding dress expert take a look at the dress. Their turnaround time was much faster than I expected and they even sent pictures right after the cleaning was finished so I could see how well it came out! I had not requested a steaming since I didn't have plans to use the dress again anytime soon, but they did one complimentary for me which made the dress look absolutely stunning and like it was brand new. There was not a single residual stain left and the dress did not smell like anything - it was just perfectly clean. The final cost of the cleaning was exactly what I expected from the quote and I felt it was incredibly reasonable for the amount of cleaning they had to do, the speed and very high quality of service, and the helpful communication throughout the process. It is absolutely within my rights to leave a 1-star review as a reflection of my experience with a business's subpar communication. If you look at the other low reviews for this business, you'll see a pattern of poor communication skills. Service isn't just left at the product. It goes all the way to effective communication, of which this business has none, other than to double down and defend themselves anytime someone has criticism.

The large 3-load machines cost $3 and I bring some quarters from my piggy bank and run a load every so often. It's pretty quick and I can run the load, dry and leave in about 1 hour. This is good place if you live within a few miles of the location as I wouldn't drive here from long away for a laundromat. Another plus is the Salmon Creek Cafe is just beside this place and you can get a coffee + apple turnover or eat breakfast or lunch at the same time if need be.

In order to reclaim my clothing though, I had to go through this insanely long process of pulling a claim ticket out of my pocket. It took nearly 2 seconds! It was a nightmare come to life. Unlke another reviewer here - lets call her "a-hole" for privacy, I actually kept my claim ticket then later produced it to claim my clothing. Guess what? (you may need to sit down for this)... I got ALL of my items back. The process was purely transactional. To my complete surprise I was truly shocked by what happened next: I gave my claim ticket to the employee, they went into the back, then reappeared with pressed and plastic wrapped clothng! The horror! What I didnt do is make reviews of attempted theft of, say, a jacket because I was dumb enough to assume that they'd just let me walk around in the back room touching other people's dry cleaning, then going on line to make a bad review falsely accusing them of trying to steal what was probably a regretful choice of outerwear. Anyway, I'd like to thank them for being honest and upstanding people. Id also like to thank them for upholding store policies like, say, making sure you actually have a claim ticket in order to get our merchandise back, and in keeping would-be thieves from wandering around in their back room. West Seattle laundry definitely fits the bill. THE ROSES: Off-street parking behind the laundromat is very handy, unless you come at a peak period, it's easy to find a close in spot and not have to hump your wash a long distance. Very good selection of machines, including large (3x a regular load), and a few truly ginormous (5x a regular load) for tackling comforters. Lots of large-capacity dryers that do a very good job drying blankets, towels, etc. The staff does a good job keeping the place up. The two times I used it this week I noted very few machines out of order, and the facility was clean. I am particularly fond of their use of app-based methods to pay for your wash (PayRange). No need to scrounge quarters to run the wash; just use the app and you're good to go! THE THORNS: Occasionally you see sketchy people in the area, and sometimes they use the laundry. On my second visit some strange dude came over and tried to make conversation, then shared he *just happened* to forget to bring his laundry soap, so could I spare some money so he could buy some from the dispenser? Fortunately I was almost done, so I could just brush him off and leave. It would be nice if the management could do a better job of keeping the riff-raff out, but to be fair, this is better than most pubic laundromats I've been to. THE VERDICT: When you have a LOT of laundry to do, or need to clean bulky items, West Seattle Laundry can be your 'go-to' place! Recommend.

You're expected to pay to park and pay to use the laundry, which was not clearly communicated. When I tried to resolve this, no one replied to my emails. They claim a five-day ticket payment policy, yet it's been weeks with zero response. Meanwhile, the fee continues to hang over you with no way to make it right. I've lived in West Seattle for years and recently moved back, and I had no idea these were the parking circumstances. The enforcement feels predatory, the communication is nonexistent, and the entire experience felt like a cash grab rather than legitimate parking management
