Corry's Fine Dry Cleaning in Edmond's is the best all around Dry cleaner in the Seattle area. They did a beautiful job cleaning my area rug, dry cleaning my husband shirts, but the best is their ability to remove Mildew from Vintage clothing. The clothing was so bad, the lining in one of the outfits was disintegrating, everyone told me to burn them. They came back amazing and odor free. The alteration person "Mabel's Tailoring" is equally as good. She relined my vintage sweater/coat (the one with the disintegrating lining) she shorten one of my vintage dresses a made it a darling thigh length jacket and has done many other creative alterations for me. She does beautiful work and definitely thinks outside the box. read more

Expensive. Poor quality of cleaning. Ladies in shop know nothing about dry cleaning. I brought in 3 dresses, 2 vintage, after asking on the phone if they could handle vintage, and they assured me they could. Dresses were $40 each to dry clean, and I picked up today. **1 had a lot of doghair on it and linty area that looked as though it had been dragged on the floor. It still had spots on it that I had specifically pointed out. **1 had areas where they ironed it so hot it was "polished," and the young lady told me there was no way to avoid that when ironing. I told her there was, and how to do it, and that I had pointed out it was vintage with no fiber tag. She offered to run it back through and see if it could be fixed, but I don't know how they could "un-polish" the fabric. She didn't either. **last dress appeared to be ok. No offer of discount, just an offer to have them sent back to be re-done. Poor customer service, too expensive, and they *cannot* handle vintage items. Avoid. read more

When I visited the store the woman told me it would cost 5x the price and shamed me for not knowing more about the care of leather. I have a faux chinchilla fur coat have been anxious to have cleaned. I couldn't get through to the local Edmonds Corry' so I called Seattle for a quote. The gal was very unsure and after putting me on hold twice, quoted me $59.00. I had my husband run it down to the Edmonds location close to our house and the man working there quoted us a whopping $315.00! My husband told him what the Seattle location quoted us and he rudely smirked and said "well she was wrong." TL;DR Avoid at all costs unless you're a masochist who loves dirty rugs! On 6/7, I spilled tea on my 9x6 ivory wool rug and found Corry's Fine Dry Cleaning close by. I brought the rug in within an hour that the stain occurred. I talked to the woman at the counter and I showed her the stain. She told me that they tend not to have any problems getting it out; she's been there for years and they've never had a stain not removed. She rang me up and asked if I wanted to put a stain guard on it. I said sure, assuming they would get the stain out. I picked up the rug on 6/16 and it was rolled up in plastic. I asked the woman if the stain came out. She said that she didn't know and that they don't unpackage the rugs to check the stain removal once they are returned from the so-called cleaning at Fuzzy Wuzzy Rug Co. I asked if they have a tag to state whether the stain comes out like dry cleaning. She said that they do not do that. Her previous claim that all of the stains in her experience have been removed does not make sense considering that they do not check and do not have documentation from the cleaners. How could she feel confident in the stain removal if they don't check the rugs? She falsely represented the company's ability to remove stains. I asked why they put a stain guard ($44.28 out of $243.23) on a rug with an unremoved stain. And why, if you can't get the stain out, you wouldn't contact the customer. She said they follow what is put on the tag. She told me that if it didn't come out, I could come back and they would redo it. I returned home to unpackage the rug. I rolled out the rug and the stain was only marginally improved. I rolled it back up and returned immediately to Corry's. After wasting my time returning home with the rug they did not check, I arrived within their hours of operation around 4:55. The woman let me know that she didn't have time to deal with me because she had to pick up her granddaughter at 5 pm. Someone working in the service industry should not turn away customers inconvenienced by their incompetence because they have personal appointments that conflict with store hours. She had to call to change the pickup plans for her granddaughter. I overheard the other person on the phone say "Is someone giving you shit?" after she told them that she was talking to a customer. I dropped off the rug and left at 5 pm when they closed. I picked it up again on 6/21. I asked the woman if the stain was out. She claimed to call Fuzzy Wuzzy and that she talked to Troy. Troy said the stain didn't come out. At that point, I said I wanted to dispute this. She said "I knew you would" and gave me a prepared form that she had waiting for me. She also gave me phone numbers to contact (namely, Sary at the Union Bay office). I took it home and found the tag (see attached image) written by the woman that claimed I was "furious" with excessive use of exclamation points and underlining. I feel disrespected. A tag for customer information that the customer receives is not an appropriate way to insult customer complaints. I was upset, but not furious (e.g., yelling and screaming). I contacted Sary on 6/22 and he did not return my call. On 6/23, I called and he was not in. I instead spoke to Margaret. Margaret said that some stains do not come out and apologized for the rude employee. After spending over $200, several weeks, and multiple visits, this customer service is far from satisfactory. Margaret clearly did not care and I now have to dispute the charge with my credit card company. If she is going to admit cashier fault, she should make a better effort to remedy the situation. I am now finding out that not only did the stain not come out, but also that they stretched it. It is now 11x6, not 9x6. In conclusion, here are my complaints: 1. False claims - Previous stain removal experience can't be cited as a selling point for their services if the rugs are not checked or documented. This is misleading. 2. Failure to check - Their refusal to check the rug meant that I had to return home and promptly return back to the establishment after finding the stain myself. 3. Poor customer service - Despite returning immediately and within business hours, I was met with demands to return tomorrow because the cashier had personal matters to attend to. I was further insulted by the other party on her personal phone call and by her rude customer information tag. 4. Absent and ineffective management - After calling Sary twice, I was instead redirected to Margaret who was similarly dismissive of my complaints. Customer calls should be returned and managers shouldn't blame their employees for the whole situation. Corry's Fine Dry Cleaning is a misnomer two times over. The subpar cleaning was equally matched by unprofessional, disrespectful service. To say the least, they are not worth your time, money, or soul. read more

Not only is this place overpriced, they made me sign a waiver in case there was any damage to the embroidered lace part on the sleeve. I signed it like an idiot because I figured the stain I wanted out wasnt even on the sleeves. Here's the kicker. I got my shirt back with a small hole on the front of the blouse where there isn't any embroider lace nor where the spot I wanted removed. Wtf. Don't go here. So annoyed. I had a similar experience to other reviews here, which is that I called ahead of time to ask about the price for dry cleaning a shirt. I was told $3.something - I didn't bother memorizing the exact amount because it was far less than the pick-up service where I work ($8.something). When I went to pick up my shirt, I was charged $10.83. I didn't even bother asking why the price was different than what I was told over the phone. I just smiled, thanked them for their service, and came here to write a review. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Even though I dropped of my items to be cleaned with coupon in hand the staff did not record it, when I went back to pick up my items I was not given the $25 credit! Corry's dry cleaning obviously has communication troubles. We called BEFORE bringing in my husband's dry cleaning to ask about the price of dry cleaning a men's dress shirt vs. having them washed & pressed. "$3.15 before tax" is what we were told. I even questioned repeatedly over the phone - "to wash & press costs the same as dry cleaning??" (This didn't make sense to me). Their respond was an emphatic "yes!" Then my husband took in the shirts and even asked then - "$3.15 before tax" is what he was told at the time of dropp off. Upon pickup he said "so $3.15 before tax per piece?" The lady behind the counter said "yes - the total is "$22...something." My husband hands over his credit card while I am still trying to figure out how 3 shirts (3 washed & pressed, 1 dry cleaned) = $22 something....She rings up the purchase & I grad the receipt.... $9 something w/ tax for the dry cleaned men's dress shirt!?? We confronted the sales person about the obvious "miscommunication" and she said "we are biodegradable" - her explanation for the sky high dry cleaning charge. I have been using their service for four years now. West seatt location about 1.1/2 . And Edmonds location. First off they are probably one of the most expensive places to go, if not the most. I have found one yet at a higher price. But I have always paid the price good quality no broken buttons. I just launder and press my shirts simple cheap cotton bottom downs nothing fancy. My last bill was 70.00 dollars for about 14 shirts 25.00 coupon around 53.00 . Pricey yes. I dropped 17 shirts last time and my bill was 153.00.. REALLY! they are scamming people. Now they say they have to hand press the same shirts I have been bringing in for years at 10.00 each the did six, they dry cleaned 3 which only two needed it one was just a cotton shirt. My bill ended up being 135.00 after 25.00 discount. I have been fighting them for three weeks to return the 10 hand press fee and one dry clean shirt. I will never use Corry's dry cleaning again. Horrible customer service and deceitful on pricing. I have been a customer of Corry's dry cleaning for roughly seven years. It was nice because I would always get coupons in the mail. I went to Corry's in January and dropped off my items. When I picked up my items, I presented the coupon (as I have always done). The lady working told me should couldn't accept the coupon because you need present the coupon with your "incoming" order. I had overlooked this statement on the coupon and asked if she could do a one-time exception since I had been a loyal customer and this was the first time I had become aware of this policy. She said no. I was really annoyed because the only reason it would matter to have the coupon presented with the incoming order is if Corry's manipulates the price of the order. Last week, I went and dropped off another order. The same lady was working the counter and I asked her to calculate the total of my dry cleaning. She seemed surprised about my inquiry but rang up the order which came to $76.54. I then presented her with the coupon that said "$25 off your Order of $60 or more." When I presented the coupon, she said "oh this is for your order before taxes and fees/surcharges." She then recalculated the order and it came to $59.76. The difference was $16.78 means I was charged 9.8% in sales tax AND an additional 18% in unknown fees and surcharges. To make the situation even worse, she would not take the coupon because my total before tax and fees was 24 cents short of $60.00. UNBELIEVABLE!!! Needless to say, I took my clothes and left. It is very clear Corry's is not transparent with pricing and has horrible customer service. Will NEVER use them again. Complete rip-off. read more

It's SUPER expensive to go here, plus there are always major communication issues about price. I've found that if you pay up front in advance, they can't jack up the price in the end. I brought a rug in to Corry's to get a quote on cleaning. The women told me it would be $49. I thought that was pretty reasonable for a 3 by 5 so I left it. I came back to get the rug and a different women was behind the counter. She grabbed the rug and said $71?! I said I think there's a misunderstanding because I was quoted $49. She said it was $71 and that price already included a 40% in store discount. I also had with me the $10 off coupon they send you in the mail to thank you for being their customer:)...more like thank you for letting them jack up the price and hoping you'll go for it. I said I wouldn't pay the $71, especially since I couldn't use my coupon-they don't tell you they're giving you a discounted quoted price in the first place and can't use your coupon with it. I stood my ground and got out of there for around the original price I was quoted. I will not return to this place. There are so many other cleaners that deserve your business.
